As soon as the opening feast was over, Emmaleigh headed straight to the headmistress’s office. She was a little worried about bugging her this evening, but the woman had said they could come by this evening. And as much as she didn’t want to be doing this, it was something that couldn’t wait. When the puff was in site of the gargoyle and seating area, she wrinkled her nose. Pink. Carefully taking a seat on one of the couches, the girl waited for the Headmistress.

Lex walked into the room hesitantly. She hadn't gotten a chance to speak to the Headmistress during the speech so she figured she would give it a shot now before things got bad. Looking around the room she saw ...pink...okay...

But then she also saw...

"Emmaleigh? What are you doing in here?" She asked, making her way over to her. "Do you have an appointment with the Headmistress or something?" That might have been it because Lex certainly needed to talk to her! They could wait together. Though she was wondering what she was doing in here...

Emmaleigh looked up when she heard her name coming from like the last person she wanted to see at the moment. “I’m waiting for the Headmistress. What are you doing here?” she asked “And no, I don’t have an appointment, just waiting. In her speech she said we could come by tonight if we needed to talk to her, so here I am.” Here waiting for trouble, of that she was sure.

OH DEAR MERLIN IT'S PINK!

BEAM.

For one moment she actually wished she'd read the Daily Prophet to find out about this woman, because she seemed sooooo cool at the moment. This wasn't going to distract Lottie from her mission. No. Not all the pink, magenta, and silver, in the world could do so. She had a purpose for this visit, and nothing was changing that.

But...oh! The couches were super comfy too. Heh. She'll wait. No problem.

Merlin's beard, Anastasia had only JUST managed to make it to her office with the plant when the students started assembling in her seating area. She had time to give the plant a smidgen of water, a bit of petting, and a good talking to before she reappeared near the couches by the stone gargoyles.

"Can I help you?" she inquired of the three young ladies loitering there. They couldn't have problems already, surely....

Lex was about to say something to Emm...she was sure she was but then she got distracted by the sight of the Headmistress walking into the office. For a moment her reason for being here had been completely wiped from her mind but then another glance at Emm reminded her. She took a deep breath then tried giving the most polite smile ever.

"Good evening Headmistress Truebridge." And not Hogs Head. "I believe we might have gotten off on the wrong foot back on the train and I never got to apologize before all the craziness started happening." That's right Lex...take your time...form your sentences as politely as possible... "But, I am here now to offer my deepest apologies in the hopes that we can somehow put this behind us and start a new--and I really liked your speech..it sounded...sophisticated..." Not that she was listening but she figured this woman might have liked the compliment. Oh and another compliment too. "That is a lovely brooch you're wearing." BEAM.

Emmaleigh watched at the Headmistress came by with the plant, and disappeared for a little while. When she reappeared and asked what they wanted, Em was getting ready to speak when Lexa started. She wasn't too happy about that. She had been here first, and it was going to be hard enough to admit to things. Standing up when the girl was done, "Sorry to bother you so late this evening Ma'am. I just wanted to apologize for the whole Hogs Head thing that happened on the train earlier. I was the one that told some of the first years including Lexa to say it. I told them that when I thought Tate was still here, but I was just joking around. I thought they knew I was kidding." Trust a couple of first years to catch onto a joke. As she spoke, redness was slowly creeping into her face. "And I'm sorry about not confessing to it earlier. It got kinda hectic with everything that went on with the train." And she really would have but the headmistress had run out of the trolley before she could say anything.

"Good evening..." the Headmistress responded slowly to the Gryffindor. She remembered her, yes she did. The girl won only a few more points of credit in her mind by apologizing.... and complimenting her speech... but she was, by no means, forgiven just yet.

Even if she DID like the brooch too. "Mmm. How mature of you to apologize... Alexis? Was it?" She shook her red head though. "No apologies necessary. I'd prefer for you to show better judgment and use common sense in the future, though."

There, enough said there. She turned to the next waiting student...

...who turned out to be none other than the Hog's Head herself! GASP!!! The NERVE of this girl!!

"So you thought it would be funny to have Headmaster Tate called the Hog's Head, the name of a common, filthy pub." There was a long, silent pause. "I see. You seem to have a twisted sense of humor, Ms...." whatever her name was. Look, she was even faking a blush. How rude.

But of course, the puff was sadly mistaken. Though she knew she must be bright red, she willed herself to keep looking at the woman. She had foolishly gotten into this mess by joking around with the first years, and she would take whatever lecture of punishment the headmistress gave. “I, n-no.” she faltered. “I didn’t mean for them to call anyone that.” Because seriously, who would actually call someone that, especially someone important? “Swynford, Emmaleigh Swynford, Ma’am.” She said, providing her name, and waiting for what was to come next.

Le Gasp! Lex was momentarily stunned when the woman responded with her own good evening! Sure it was normal to respond that way when someone said that to someone else but apparently that wasn't how Professor Scabior saw things. Mean man threw her greeting back in her face. He would get his soon enough. For now she focused on removing the shocked look from her face.

She beamed when the woman called her mature. Hehe, she thought she was mature; wait 'til her father heard that one! He'd probably start letting her stay up late to watch tv!!! Eeeppp!! She sure hoped so! "Um no ma'am it's Alexa. Lex bit the last woman that called her that but at the moment she was trying to score brownie points so of course she said this with a forced smile. How could anyone mess up her name???

She nodded. "Yup! Don't worry, I'm all about the good judgement!" and all that other useless stuff that she never planned to use. Soooo... "Does this mean I'm forgiven?" She was never very good at beating around the bush for too long-- the compliment giving thing nearly killed her!

If I hear of you making fun of, referring to, or addressing ANY member of my faculty in an appropriate manner EVER again, you'll be in detention until years after you SHOULD have graduated. Are we clear?"

She looked back to the annoying persistent Gryffindor. "Alexa, of course." She already knew that. But forgiven??? Forgive and plan revenge, that's what Bunz would say... forgive and forget though, never.

Just hearing her name repeated sent a chill down her spine, and as the woman stepped closer, the puff felt her hands being to shake. Pressing her palms flat against her jeans, she continued to look up at the Headmistress. Listening to the woman’s threat of a long detention sentence, the younger redhead was so terrified that she almost wet herself. “Y-yes, M-ma’am.” was all she could say, though she did nod. Never again.

Having a very busy schedule, Nessie was happy to have a free afternoon for a change. She had been busy the whole week sorting out who would become her future team. It wasn't easy stuff, but the real fun would start later. There were some other stuff besides quidditch on her mind too, one of them being an idea she had come up with. An idea the Headmistress would hopefully approve of.

Walking up towards the second floor, Renesmee began twirling a bright red piece of her hair. Her hair really was growing longer. In fact it was so long that as she reached the gargoyles she began debating whether it may have even needed a small trim. Naaah! She could wait for it to be just a bit longer, it was too beautiful to cut now.

The gargoyles. Right. She eyed them. They needed a passward, one Ness didn't know of. The red head pouted for just a few moments and then looked over at the pink couches on either side. The looked comfy. She'd wait. Yep..wait a few moments and then only attempt to get past these gargoyles.

She took a seat, picked up a magazine and began reading away as she waited.

This purple dress! It was beautiful! So beautiful, that Renesmee didn't even notice somebody had been talking to her. Turning the page of the magazine, she looked up to see the Headmistress standing right next to her? O_O

Was she here all along? Erm...awkward.

Help her? Err...Right. Putting the magazine away, Ness now paid full attention to the Headmistress. "Well you see, Prof..I mean Headmistress..." That was how she was supposed to address her , was it not? She paused and tried to come up with the right way of wording what she wanted to say. "I was admiring my red hair the other day, and I realised how many beautiful red heads there actually are in this school." Because there were tons of them. "Then I thought it would be a great idea to start a red heads club, and I was erm...wondering if you'd like to be a part of it?" Oh gosh! The Headmistress was going to kill her now. This whole thing was maybe too silly for an adult, but you know red heads were just too cool. Hopefully the headmistress was going to agree.

Bunz actually, truly blinked at this...redheaded child in front of her, and found herself fighting the urge to both laugh and agree with the girl's idea. A club for redheads? Well that wasn't such a bad idea... but apparently this girl didn't know how rare a true redhead like herself was... otherwise she wouldn't think Hogwarts was full of them.

"While I admire your desire to preserve the color of our hair, Miss...." Captainperson, "I'm afraid I'm disinclined to acquiesce your request. Hogwarts' clubs are only for athletic or academic pursuits, and as this club is neither...."

She trailed off into a genuinely disappointed frown. "Sorry. The Board of Governors would never go along with such a club." No, they'd probably think she had started it herself, started a club of admirers of her hair.

...not a half bad idea, really, but again, not one exactly permitted in schools.

"Of course it wouldn't really benefit anyone in any of those ways."

Hmmm...She was back in thought and still pouting. She eyed the Headmistress for a short moment and then looked at her shoes still thinking.

"A ..a secret club itisthen." She mumbled her thoughts aloud not even aware she was doing so. She was still going to have her club, or at least attempt it. The redheaded Headmistress blinked for a moment, unsure if she was supposed to have heard the bit about a 'secret' club or not. It wasn't exactly secret if the young ginger here was informing her of it, eh.

Regardless, just before the girl trounced off, Annie leaned in and gave her a wink. "Just be sure to advertise your secret club with discretion, dear. You never know which redhead might crash the club."

Then she, too, walked off in the opposite direction. On to bigger and better things!

An eerie echo wafted down the corridor on the second floor and into the seating area:
