When Elise finally looked up, she gasped. The room was warm, a light gold color graced the walls and the floor was paneled with wood. A lounge rested near the doorway, facing the center of the room. There were shelves all along a wall, filled with what seemed to be books and right in the center of the room was a grand piano.

Elise wasn't sure whether it was a concert grand, but it was big and occupied a lot of space. She moved slowly towads the bookshelf, the reason for the dampness on her face gradually being forgotten and pulled out a book.

'Chopin,' she thought, flipping through the pages until she came across Nocturne in C sharp minor. Placing it on the piano, she smiled as the familiar piece began.

Nigel was amazed at how the room looked. It was basically an old library with a lot of old comfortable chairs and rows and rows of interesting books. He picks out a book he thinks he will like and sits down to read it thinking this is the most awesome room in the world.

It was astounding, it was astonishing... it was exactly what she needed. The stories her parents had told her must have been true, about the Room of Requirement. Had she found it so early in her school years? It certainly seemed like it. The room looked like a bedroom, but not hers - it looked like the bedroom she'd always wished she'd had. There was a full-size bed in one corner, with light green and white sheets. There was a green papasan chair, and a bookshelf, and even a dresser. The bookshelf held her favorite books, as well as some she hadn't read, and an entire shelf was devoted to journals that she could write in to her pleasure. There were no windows, but that was okay. She certainly wouldn't have to worry about privacy, unless someone else came in. But could they come in? That hadn't been part of her wishes.

Shrugging, Tessa grabbed a journal and a quill and began to write.

Tay bursted into the room of requirements. Her face was tear stained. Taylor wanted to be alone. She calmed down a little with the lit candles.

Lily was in the Room of Requirement after finding it because she needed someplace quiet. All the firsties had been extremely loud and frankly, annoying, in the common room so the second year needed someplace to go that was quiet. She was just sitting on one of the beanbag chairs in the room, looking around when someone burst in. She looked up, confused, trying to see who it was that came in. Her head cocked to the side and she squinted her eyes to try and see better.

It.
Was.
Taylor.

It was her best friend. And she seemed upset. "Tay?.... You ok?" She called from the shadows of the dimly lit room. She quickly hopped up out of her seat and stepped out of the shadows and into the light. "What's wrong?"

Tay looked up at her friend and wiped at her face, "Oh um.... Hey Lils....." She shook her head, "No......." Taylor sat down in a beanbag and put her face in her hands. She didnt really want to talk to anyone but if she had to, she would chose Lily.

Lily sat back down on her beanbag chair and made herself comfortable. "Do you wanna talk about it?" That always helped her when something had happened to the second year. After situating herself, she grabbed her bag and pulled out her lemon drops. Without saying anything, she offered Taylor some of the candy. Sometimes sweets helped the problem go away, so Lily wanted to make that available to her friend.

On a different note, "Did you know that there was this hidden room in the castle? I just happened to find it because I needed someplace quiet."

Tay looked at her friend, "I dont want to be a bother...." She shook her head at the sweets but nodded to the question, "Yeah I knew about this room." Taylor forced out a laugh. "I found it with Logan last year."

The redhead glanced up at Taylor and gave her a little smirk. "You know that you won't be a bother... Tell me what happened. I wanna make you feel better." Lily shrugged at the refusal of sweets. It was typical of her friend, especially when something was wrong. She reached in her bag and pulled out a chocolate frog. Tossing it to Taylor, she responded. "Eat it... Chocolate makes things better." Even if you didn't want sweets.

Tay shook her head and tossed the frog back, "No, i dont want to eat." She sighed, "Damon told me he loves me and kissed me in front of Maxwell then Maxwell went out and ummm lets just say Damon's nose isnt the same. Then i hurt DAmon by refusing to leave Maxwell and now he is avoiding me and snapping at me when he doesnt avoid me....... " Taylor trailed off as tears began to fall again.

Lily caught the frog and opened it up. If Tay wasn't going to eat it, the second year would. But she was more focused on Taylor. There had to be something waaaay wrong if she wouldn't eat chocolate...

And then it came... That seemed troublesome. ".....wow......" Yep... that's what Lily thought of that. "Is Maxwell ok?... I mean you didn't like Damon kissing you, right...." This was just way too confusing for Lily to understand. Pulling out a couple tissues from her bag, the redhead handed them to Taylor. "It'll be ok.... everything will work out fine in the end..." She whispered quietly to her ravenclaw friend.

Tay sighed, "He was upset but he is okay now i guess...." Taylor grimaced. "I dont know if i liked it or not....." She trailed off, "I mean I am dating Maxwell.... but Damon is my best friend and he kinda of treats me better but Minnie likes Damon but Damon apparently loves me and Maxwell says he loves me and I am stuck in the middle of all this, not knowing what i feel." Taylor ignored the tissues and sighed again.

Lily didn't know what to do anymore. Instead, she just sat there staring at some spot on the wall that had caught her interest. She was still listening but found it easier to pay attention not looking at Tay. "Well...." She didn't know what to say. It was just too confusing. "I... umm... I think." Why did it have to be so dang confusing? "If you like one of them more then he is the one you have to be with. The other will just have to be your friend for now." That's what she would do at least, she replied before taking a bite of the chocolate frog.

Tay nodded, "Yeah.... oh and Mins and Damon are now dating so that is nice...." She laughed and smiled, "So i guess it isnt really that difficult." She rolled her eyes, "I just been grumpy and confused for the past weekish." Tay sighed.

Damon walked into the room, wow... it looked different then he had expected it to. But it was nice, he looked back at Taylor, "I can't believe I've actually found it..."

Tay laughed and slipped in after him. She looked around, "It looks different from the last time i been in here.... last time it was dark with candles.... I guess that is right since it changes to fit our needs...." Taylor smiled at him and flopped onto a couch.

He smiled at her, "I have to agree. It's nice." Damon sat down next to her, "Have to admit, it's niceto have somewhere to get away from them." He sighed, acting like he hated Taylor was extremely difficult... but if Maxwell or Minnie knew the truth... They'd be back to the same restrictions.

Tay smiled when he agreed then nodded at what he said, "Yeah it is nice to get away and to not be forced to hate you. It is very hard to hate you, ya know?" Taylor sighed and cuddled up to him.

He chuckled and wrapped his arm around her, "It's even harder to act like I hate you. I assure you." He smiled at her, "But that's the convienent thing about finding the room."

Tay leaned her head against his shoulder, "I'll let you win this time." She laughed and smiled, "Yeah, this room is like a safe haven." Taylor sighed, "I missed you so much as my best friend....." A thought came into her mind, "Do you think this is lieing to them? I mean we are just friends, trying to get back our friendship back and trying to do it where we dont have to worry about disapproval.... right?"

Damon shook his head, "The same thing crossed my mind... but I have to agree, we just want our friendship to stay intact... and like we said... if they knew, we'd have a entire new set of what we can and can't do." He sighed, "Why must our friendship be so complicated?" He knew the answer, but he was sick of Maxwell worrying about nothing with the two of them; he was dating someone else now. Sure, he still liked Taylor, but he wouldn't, correction, couldn't do anything to hurt Minerva.

Tay nodded, "I dont know but want to dance? I miss dancing with you." She pouted and rubbed her head on his chest in a sisterly affection way. "I miss you." Taylor sighed and kissed his cheek. "I'm being lectured right and left right now."

"I've not really been lectured at so much as just being told what I should do..." He chuckled, kissing her forehead, "But by who, and can I help in anyway." He would've stood up to dance with her but she was laying her head on him at the moment.

Tay looked at him, "From your girlfriend, my best friend." She sighed and stood up. Taylor held out her hand so he can take it and so they can dance.
