Samuel stood behind the bar of the Hogs Head, wiping out a glass with a dirty rag and grumbling to himself. He hated it when the students were allowed to come into his pub. They were annoying, with their constant chattering and boisterous behaviour. And then there were the ones that came in here making goo goo eyes at each other. He hated it. Had he mentioned that before?

But once again he was outnumbered in the votes. 'Cheer up Sam' they had said. 'It's a special occasion.' The last time they'd had a special occasion at Hogsmeade, he'd been cursed, tied up and shoved in his broom cupboard for months. So he had good reason to be bitter.

And to top it off, they got to have 10% off their purchases. Unfortunately there was not a lot he could do about it. He just had to grin and bear it.

Well maybe a grimace would suffice.

Heheh Willy felt like such a playa, leadin' two honeys into a pub like this. He was grinning to himself as he opened the door to the pub, grinning as he beckoned for them to go ahead of him inside, grinning as he cast a glance into the...... establishment, and grinning right up until he saw the U-G-L-Y guy behind the counter.

Gulp.

Er, maybe it wasn't so fly to be leading three poor, innocent ladies into a pub like this. Call him maybe stupid, but had the place grown grosser in the time he'd been away from school? Huh. Or maybe he'd just forgotten what the Hog's Head looked like, seeing as all his memories of the place were a little bit tainted.

Anyway. "After you, after you," William murmured to the other two professors. "Don't be shy, go on and order and I'll take care of the tab." For once, yes, he would. He'd found some galleons under the sofa in his office the other day and like a fool was already planning to spend them.

But Calista and Medea were worth it, right? After all, they'd so kindly helped out in his lesson....

Well, after walking through the village to where William was leading them, Medea wondered why she failed to visit this place the term previous. It was like a miniature version of Diagon Alley! And she loved the Alley.

Will have to invade the shops later though.

This place on the other hand, had shifty written all over it. She murmured a thank you to the creatures professor before her eyebrows raised a little as she stepped inside, taking in the layout of the pub. The quiet atmosphere was a plus though, right? "Cozy." she said lightly, taking a deep breathe through her nose. Oh. Oh, okay, possibly a good idea to not do that again.

"Vot do they sell here?" Whisper action!

Calista was excited! Going out for drinks with her adult friends after so many weeks of being surrounded by students was going to be a great little experience.

The blonde stepped into the bar before Willy with Medea and looked around.

Hmmm...it was definately different. It was quiet at least, with a distinct air of...negligence.

Taking a seat at the bar, Professor Elwood nodded smally at the bartender and then looked back at Willy who was just grinning stupidly as usual and Medea who seemed a tad nervous about being here, whispering to see what they had. The old Calitsa would probably been disgusted by the dirty old pub and been in about the same state as her female collegue but after the past two years in her wagon and shady joints like this in Knockturn Alley, the Divination Professor felt an odd sense of home.

"They have drinks Medea. Just order one." She grinned excitedly. She didn't want to harsh their cool, did she?

"I'll have a firewhiskey please." She tapped the bar patiently to get the bartender's attention. She wasn't shy, she was getting a real drink!

"I said don't be shy," Willy nudged Medea, taking a seat between the two women. He toned down his grin just a little for the barman and cleared his throat. "I'll also have a firewhiskey, and whatever she," Medea, "orders. All on me."

Still smiling, he raised a brow at Callie. "So you're a firewhiskey kind of girl, eh?" He would never have guessed. Calista just seemed like she needed something... fruitier.

Yes, but...

"I'm not being shy." she narrowed her eyes somewhat, but didn't last long as she took her own seat. She'd visited places in the past such as this, waaay past, not for her own enjoyment, but they at least had people in it. Besides the barmen, the three of them were the only ones!

"I'll have vot they're having." Medea gestured to two she sat next to.

Samuel was used to people tapping on the bar trying to get his attention. They would soon learn that tactic didn't work. Not with him. The woman was lucky that she wasn't a student because he would have flicked her in the head with his tea towel and ordered her out of his pub.

Instead he draped the towel over his shoulder and leaned his hip against the bar and watched as the three chattered, ordered their drinks and chattered some more. He took out three glasses and poured the firewhiskey, not really caring that it was spilling all over the bar and then placed them in front of the patrons.

He held his hand out in front of the male who said he was paying but his gaze rested on the brunette. "Your accent. Bulgarian?"

"That's right William, what else should I drink after spending my first few months as a teacher?" Calista said with a grin and and turned to watch Medea as she tried to decide what to drink.

Calista had never been a heavy drinker but she did enjoy the firey liquid here and there when she had the time or the money. Today she had the time, she had the money but even better her collegue had decided to pay so Merlin let him.

"Yeah! Medea you've picked a fine drink!" She grinned again and leaned forward and poked the brunette on the elbow from her seat. Hopefully it wasn't her first time drinking that particular one because, well that was never fun.

Eying the man back as he seemed to be sizing her up, Calista took the drink once it was poured and began to sip from it. The warmth travelled through her, burning her throat slightly. "Ahh, very good sir." She said looking at the man, who seemed to be rather unhappy for someone who was about to make some money.

As she looked at Willy waiting for him to pay, she continued with another sip, almost spitting it out with a fit of giggles brought on by the Hog's Head Bartender's question about Medea's accent.

"Sounds more vampire-like to me." She continued to giggle. She then calmed herself down and winked at her friend. She knew she was only joking, they were working on that.

Well somebody was a sloppy bartender. No one the place smelled more like hog dung than hog heads. Shooting a crooked little smile to Callie that said he knew all too well what she meant, Willy started to dig the galleons for their drinks out of his pocket. Then remembered that he had actually put them in his sock this morning, for some reason, and ducked below the bar to unearth them. He re-emerged and found the creeeeeepy bardude interrogating poor Medea, and found himself also staring at her as he handed over the money.

"She's not really a vampire, is she?" he half-whispered to Calista without turning his head.

Medea chuckled, what with the nudge from Callie, yet keeping an eye on how the bartender was pouring the drinks. Not that it really bothered her. His question was more surprising than anything...

Oh, those two!

"I...am not even trying right now." she leaned over and playfully poked both Callie and William. Though it seemed her accent thickened when defending herself, which made Medea cut her words short with a huff when she realized this. She smiled and shook her head. In answer to the bartender's question however, "Yes. Northern region."

For just a moment there, Samuel had actually thought about being pleasant to these people. They were, after all, spending money in his pub and they were not students so that was a bonus in their favor. Since he had picked up on the woman's accent, he thought he would start there.

But then they starting giggling and poking each other. Exactly like a bunch of school kids. Samuel rolled his eyes and snatched the money out of the male's hand as he grunted at the woman with the accent.

He threw the galleons into the till, turned on his heel and headed down to the other end of the bar. It wasn't like he was against talking to people, so long as they didn't talk nonsense and those three didn't look as though they had anything intelligent to say.

This was all too much.

Callie was trying to keep herself together and act like an adult but after having to do that for so long around the kids up at the Castle she was ready to just hang out and be herself, besides she couldn't get over the fact that William had just asked her if Medea really was a vampire.

"Who knows, she might be." Callie whispered back to the man beside her, just before the Defense Professor poked them and chided their foolishness. "Sorry Medea, you know we are only playing." She was, since obviously the woman wasn't a vampire but Calista wouldn't put it past the Headmaster to hire one, he had hired the bloody horse before her.

Just as she finished her giggling appology, the blonde saw the look the bartender had gained and watched suspiciously as he walked away from them to the other end of the bar. "He must not like vampires or Seers." She whispered to the two of them, giggling a bit more afterwards.

"So William, Medea how have your lessons been going? William, how's that dragon of your's?" She really needed to go take another look at it, the breif glimpse at the Care of Magical Creatures lesson was not quite enough for Callie, who had never seen one before then.

So that had been a pointless conversation. Cool. Rolling his eyes at the bartender and trying not to giggle too much at Medea's poke, Willy sipped his drink before replying to Calista. AHH HOW IT BURNED. BURNED SO GOOD. Ahem.

"My lessons have been going well," William nodded. "So far, no one's been burned or eaten or otherwise attacked by a creature I brought to class." He grinned a bit. "Roro's getting bigger every day, it seems. Soon enough, he'll be breathing FIRE." He was simultaneously excited and appalled by that prospect. Excited because it meant that Roro was growing up nicely and appalled because it meant that Roro was going to have to be released to the wild soon. Sigh. He really didn't want to think about that inevitable day.

"What about yours, Callie?" He leaned toward her a fraction, "Is it true that two of your students were meditating so hard that they ended up in a tree?" That's what he'd heard, anyway. Then again, maybe he should be asking Medea that; he'd heard the ridiculous rumor that they did Yoda in Defense Against the Dark Arts classes now.

Psssssssh. Yoda. What was that? Some variation of Yogurt? Was she also giving out snacks in class?

Oh, she knew they were playing...

Not bothered by the barman's change of mood, Medea chuckled quietly at the mention of not liking vampires or Seers before taking a sip of her drink. Mmmmm it'd been awhile since she had firewhisky. Still the same burn. Buuuurn.

"They're going fine." she nodded along with William as he went into talk about his young dragon. Roro. What an interesting name for a dragon. "Certainly not going to keep him so close on the school grounds when the moment comes, are you?" Everything around them was pretty much flammable and a fire disaster was the last thing they needed. No matter how cute Roro was!! Yes, even with him growing up, he was still so cute.

For now.

What? She had not heard that rumor! Couldn't possibly be true, but she looked to Callie anyways, a smirk, perhaps, starting to appear on her face. Rumors of people meditating in general, well, it amused her.
