She was not sure how long she had been standing at Professor Elwood's door. Her eyes had memorized the creases in the door. It was foolish of her to even be there, but ever since their divination lesson Selina had felt a pulling at her navel drawing her to the office. Everyday she had walked up the stairs and then returned to the grounds with knocking on the door, but today she had just stood frozen in front of the door.

There was no way this was a good idea. Selina never told virtually anyone about her ability besides three friends and professor Bishop. It was like a freak show, she was a freak show... And she was poking the bear. Maybe if she left like she did everyday she would not draw any attention to herself. Yeah... Maybe she should leave...

But then she knocked!

Having had her office quite the quiet place so far, Calista had been laying in the bed she had set up inside of her wagon for a nap when she heard the door being knocked on. Surely someone wasn't here to meet with her, were they?

Stepping out of the spacious wagon, because of the extending charms she had placed on it, the Divination Professor straightened her skirt and shook her hair out to look unmatted before opening the door with a smile.

"Oh, hello there." Professor Elwood looked at the girl for just a minute before recognizing her. She couldn't remember her name though, darn it. Too many students. She was the one with the badge that wasn't a Prefects' one though. "You won the wagon race with Kurumi didn't you?"

Yeah she remembered that!

"Come in, come in!" She said after another awkward minute of trying to rememebr the girl's name. Better do that in the office rather than the hallway.

QUESTION TIME.

Blue needed to KNOW something. And it was something that only the futer-telling professor (oh what was her name? what was her name? Emfood or something like that!) could tell her. So, the ickle first year was skipping along till she came to a messy corridor. Blue walked up to the door and pressed her ear against it to see if the professor was busy with someone.

See, eavesdropping is just...being polite. She could faintly hear voices but she NEEDED the professor so she...knocked.

Elwood made her way through the clutter of books and parchments that lines the wall and floor of the one side of her office and headed for the wooden door blocking her visitor from her. She was free and certainly had time to speak to whoever it was.

Opening it, Calista saw a young Ravenclaw, one she didn't particulary recognize from anywhere. "Hello there, what can I do for you?" the blonde Professor said with a smile.

Blue beamed at the professor when she opened the door. "Hello Professor!" Because politeness was IMPORTANT. Very important because she needed the professor...because her question was very...well...important.

"I have a question about divination," She said 'divination' slowly her eyes wide with the air of someone who had practised a word they couldn't pronounce over and over again. She had also gone over her question too...just to make sure it was a polite question. 'Cause 'pparently politeness was everything.

"I would like to know how one becomes a Seer." The professor would know, right? Seeing as she was one. Blue paused for a moment, delibrating if she should explain why exactly she wanted to be a seer. "'Cause I want to know the future. It's cool. Plus, I wanna ban chocolate frogs from Hogwarts - I have a pet toad see? And If I become a Seer like you, I'd be able to know if I did it!...And-And-And, I wanna know the future!" Blue hadn't already said that had she?

And that was a good reason right?

Blue beamed again at the teacher.

BEEAAAM.

Carigan had stayed quiet during the majority of the first divination lesson of the year, and during the others and her other classes. She didn't mean to, she was just always surprisingly quiet during most classes. Ever since the first lesson she had meant to come up to the professors office, she had felt weird during the first lesson. All of the students picking up clothing that looked almost like everything her family wore, minus the turbans. Was her mother some crazy loon taking muggles money from them? Or did she really posses the gift of the noble art? She had been mulling it over and over in her mind.

Since it was out of regular school hours she wasn't wearing her uniform. She was barefoot, she wasn't afraid of going barefoot in the castle or anywhere else really, and she wore her usual garb of a peasant blouse that her father had hand embroidered with small delicate flowers. She also wore a floor length skirt made of old fabric scraps, mainly in greens and browns, that had been sewn by hand by both herself and her father. Her hair was still just as long as ever, she barely planned to cut it even thought it reached her buttocks, and she wore a daisy chain crown. Beads her father had put together specially just for her adorned her neck.

She sat on a beautiful and sturdy old trunk across the corridor from the door and she stared at the door. Did she really want to knock? Did she want to bother the professor at such a random time? Maybe the professor wasn't in, she thought and stood up to walk away but she heard her voice from within to sat back down. She quickly mustered up the courage and ran to the other side, knocked quickly and ran back to the trunk to take a seat.

Callie beamed at the little girl as she looked up at her. She was a cute one, definately a younger year.

"Well, you've come to the right place to ask a question about that sweetie. Ask away." She was about to offer her to come into the office but she had already begun speaking, and with each word, Callie's smile stiffened awkwardly.

Yeah, how were you supposed to tell a child their dreams can't come true? Best to just lay it out there, she thought to herself.

"Dear, sadly it is impossible to just become a Seer, it is a talent one is born with even though you may not be able to control it all the time." She looked at the girl with another reassuring smile--much like a Muggle Kindergarden teacher. "You can use other forms of Divination to prophesize up-coming events and things. Like tea readings, crystal balls, and astrology. If you like I can give you a book to borrow on one of them."

"Hello?" She said as she looked down the hall leading to the staircase which lead out of the tower. Did the person leave? Just as she was about to shut the door she turned to face the trunks and carpets to see a small girl sitting there, somewhat nervously it seemed, to speak with her.

"Afternoon dear, was that you who knocked on my door?"

Carigan smiled when the professor opened her door. The sight of the professor always reminded her of her mother and it set her mind at ease and made her feel at home. It took Carigan a moment before she could muster up the courage to speak, although she liked this professor and she put her mind at ease, she was STILL a professor and that always scared Carigan. She slowly rose from her seat on the trunk and began to speak.

"Yes, ma'am. I wanted to talk to you about a few things... I have some answers and I need questions. I-I mean I have some questions and I am seeking their answers." Carigan said awkwardly, curling and uncurling her naked toes nervously and looking up at the professor.

Awww she was nervous? That was cute. Surely she understood as a Professor she wasn't allowed to hurt the kids she wasn't going to hurt the girl.

Professor Elwood nodded with a knowing smile and stepped aside gesturing into her office, "You are welcome to step inside and we can discuss and figure out whatever it is you need to talk about dear."

Addie really liked her Divination professor and thought she was a bit, eccentric. But she was also really nice and seemed like she would be someone who would support her cause. Someone who would agree with no school uniforms. Addie cautiously walked up to the seating area outside the Professor's office and pulled out her poster. Addie walked up to the wall opposite the door and looked around before cautiously whispering, "Adhaero." The poster stuck to the wall.

Addie stared at the paint bucket in her hand. Should she use it? Addie decided not to. Addie liked the professor enough that she didn't think it was necessary. The nice big magenta poster would be enough. In the end Addie just snuck up to the professor's door and knocked three times before running down the stairs as fast as her short legs could take her. Addie wanted to protest with posters, not by talking to Professors.

Professor Elwood had been about to head out to the Great Hall to let Galileo fly around a bit since it was empty after dinner was over and far too cold outside for the poor parrot when her gathering up of her things was interrupted. The blonde crossed her tiny office, tripping over the same pile of books as usual and wrenched open the door, putting a smile on her face to great the little student who may need her.

And noone was there, although something was.

O__o

A sign had been stuck to the wall across from her office door suggesting, of all things, the end of school uniforms. "Huh." She said out loud.

She guess it wouldn't be all that bad, they could express themselves better. But wasn't it a tradition here at the school, and a way for the Professors to better see who was in what house when awarding points? The Divination Professor had a lot to think about...perhaps she would do a tarot reading later to help her way the odds.

Off to the Great Hall! She called to her parrot and walked off towards the stairs with him on her arm.

Louisa slipped the pouch of stones that she had supposedly 'connected with' according to the professor and made her way not out of the classroom but toward the trapdoor that resembled the office. She walked down the stairs until reaching the circular spot with the... stuff in it. She glanced backward to where the murmurs of students were still heard and leaned against the wall waiting for the professor to come and SPILL THE BEANS.

Pocketing her wand after locking the trapdoor to the classroom behind the students, Professor Elwood hurried along the short corridor to the area outside her office where she saw the Ravenclaw Prefect leaning against the wall.

"Oh good, you stayed. Just come on in." Callie pushed the office door opened since it wasn't locked and held it open so she could follow.

Sarah knocked on the door. She needed to pick out her lithomancy set, as she needed it for homework, yet she had stupidly returned it during the lesson.

The blonde Herbologist all but skipped down the halls and up the stairs to the seventh floor. It had been a while since she'd ventured into this part of the castle... well with the exception of the odd visit to Gryffindor Tower that is. But still that part was different to this part of the castle, therefore this was as much an adventure as abseiling into a Horklump infested ravine. Plus, now she had the perfect excuse to wander the halls and explore the nooks and crannies and offices of the castle.

Carrying a Fanged Geranium in a striking teal ceramic pot, Seren found herself staring at the assortment of... stuff... in front of Callie's office. Should she help put them away? Or were they for admiring? Or sitting on? Deciding it'd be difficult to explain why she was sitting on her colleagues belongings she just stood and began humming to herself.

Callie had spent a long time last night looking out the window and trying to decide if the star she was seeing in the sky was either Venus or just one of the other hundreds of millions of pin-pricks of firey gas which left her completely exhausted and currently asleep, face down on her desk.

THWAK!

The blonde Divination professor's head bolted up at the sound and quickly looked to Galileo's perch, relieved he was still alseep on it. The sound had sounded like a bird flying into the window...or her door. Elwood stood up from her desk and reached to open her door to check and see if some student had just been playing outside or if there really was some injuryed bird out there.

"Oh hello Seren, sorry it took so long I was just..." but she stopped right there at the sight of the plant in the Herbology Professor's arms. "You brought it! Oh thank you so much! Come on in and help me find a good place for it!" Callie scooted out of the doorway and held it open for the other blonde to join her in the crowded office.

Nate walked down the corridor to Professor Elwood's office. He had a question to ask her. It was like really important of a question. So he went up to the door, and knocked three times.

Calista couldn't get past the one chapter she needed to read in her literature for her next lesson without the door being knocked on. Gahhh.

The Divination Professor stood up and answered the door, welcoming the Hufflepuff standing there. "Hello there, what can I do for you?"

Nate watched as the divination teacher walked up to him. "I was wondering if you could tell me what a seer is, because when I went to look it up a page was torn right from the middle." He replied to the professor.

Well that book had suffered an unfortunate demise.

"What a Seer is, huh?" Such a broad question but one answered easily enough. "A seer is a person who has the ability to connect with their Inner Eye into the Beyond and relay the information they 'see' either out loud to others, or within their own mind." She paused trying to think if there was something else to add but decided that was enough unless the Hufflepuff came up with some other question.
