Max didn't wait around in the stands too long after Ellie caught the snitch. He knew there would be a huge party, so he had put his eagle head back on and ran(while waving his wings and cawing at people as he passed, so perhaps a better term would be flew?) up to the castle and wanted to be one of the first at the common room. When the team entered, they deserved a room packed with supportive housemates. Especially one still donning a costume of their house mascot.

Upon entering the room and seeing the banner above the fireplace, a smile spread widely across Max's hidden face. Quidditch Cup Champions. Those were words that he always hoped to hear in the past terms, mostly for his own benefit. This time, his elation was all for Ellie - and the other teammates, of course, but his best friend had just lead the team to victory as both a Captain and a star Seeker in her last Quidditch game at Hogwarts. That was something beyond impressive or heartwarming.

And then Max saw the CAKE. It was quite the dessert. He started to walk toward it, but thought better of it. The team should be the first to dig in, he thought. Or at least, Max wasn't going to be the one to dig in first, to ANY of the treats, not just the cake, so he leaped onto the sofa and anxiously awaited the arrival of the stars of the party - particularly one redheaded Seeker.

Ellie led the way into the Common Room, still hollering about their victory, Cup still high over her head. If she lost her voice and was sore for days because of the extraneous work she was making her arms and lungs do...then SO BE IT! It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth it!!!

Upon entering, she couldn't help but notice the decorations. OBVIOUSLY. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.

And as much as she wanted to hang on to the Cup for forever and never ever let it go, it would just look SO pretty next to that Snitch cake. So that's where she set it down.

Then she turned to her team, the other 'Claws that made their way back into the Common Room already, and Max who looked like he'd been there already, but she hadn't noticed at first, being too overwhelmed by EVERYTHING, and squealed, "WE DID IT!!!"

ELATED, she was.

Isidora hadn't painted her face or decorated her curls with anything special besides blue and bronze ribbons, she hadn't made signs and she didn't cheer louder than anyone else cause they were really really LOUD.

But she was JUST as excited as everyone else.

THEY WON!!

Her first year here and her house had WON the quidditch cup! Dora bounced from foot to foot in front of the table piled with sweets. It had been her first stop naturally, since the captain was here and she figured that she of all people should get dibs on that first.

But the sweets were a totally first come first serve, and SHE WAS FIRST.

She snatched up a licorice wand and sucked on it, eyes still admiring the large pile in front of her.

After walking back from the quidditch pitch. Nigel enters the common room to see a party going on. Walking in Nigel starts yelling raising his fist in the air.

"THIS IS AWESOME, YEAH!!!"

He already saw the Ellie was here with some other claws. Next he spotted the food and ran over to get some because boy was he hungry. Then he saw the awesome cake and immediately wanted some. But he would save that for later. He took some chocolate frogs and went to enjoy the party.

Anna, who was on her way back from the library, stopped dead in her tracks when she entered the common room. The first thing that caught her eye were the streamers. She looked up, shifting her school bag from her front of her back and stuffing a book inside it. Next she saw the banner. Quidditch Cup Champions.

"Oh," she said lightly, nodding to herself. That was today, huh? Well, congratulations Ravenclaw and all that. She looked around the room at the few people that were at the party. Maybe it had just started or something, because it didn't seem very hopping. Besides the Captain being all excited.

Well. Anna wouldn't stick around for long. She'd just like some goodies... and maybe a piece of cake to take up to her dorm.

Elliot had decided to trump back to the common room...taking her time. There would probably be a little party, right? How great...this was all SO GREAT. Elliot was smiling, genuinely, for the first time in AWHILE.

That took a lot, it did. TheQueen of Smirks could smile sometimes, too.

AAANNNDD She had passed the house points on the way up...they were SO CLOSE to the puffers! IF ONLY THEY COULD GET SOME MORE POINTS! They might have a chance! They could very well win the house cup! Which would be AMAZING!

Elliot sauntered into the common room to find the place...completely decorated. Wow. It looked pretty nice. It was just missing some...lace. "Congratulations, team!" she shouted out to the team in general...they deserved this, they did.

Taylor hobbled into the room, smiling, "Congrats, guys! You were awesome!" Tay wished she hadnt hurt her ankle so close to the game or she could of played but it was an amazing game either way.

Milton ran into the room after Ellie and Nigel and thrust his fist into the air.

"CHAMPIONS!" he cheered, grinning like an idiot. And it was his first time playing for a team, too. This was a good sign, right? It better be!

He was still so excited. So happy and elated and WOW. Milton spotted Anna as he made his way in and suddenly threw his arms around his step-sister in a big hug. "WE WON!" Not that she cared. At least Milton didn't think she cared. Anna probably didn't even go to the game. But he had to celebrate with SOMEONE. And she was there, so that's what she got.

And was that a snitch cake? Because it looked good.

They'd woon. They'd wonn. Yaay. Indiana was so happy. They'd done so well. Her first championship, and the start of many more to come. Even though she had taken that bludger hit, nothing could get better than thing. Sure she was gonna have a huge bruise on her thigh, but they'd won. They'd won. Indy was a very excited fourteen year old right now. It made making her brother end up in the hospital wing totally work it. Spike would be so happy.

"We won...." She beamed, as she followed the rest of the team into the common room. Parttty time.

Louisa, despite her lack of enthusiasm in Quidditch, was grinning from ear to ear when she filed into the common room after her housemates. "YOU GUYS DID IT!" And the first rational thing to do was to squeeze through the Ravvies and throw her arms around the captain's neck. Yes, true they were never that close but this was a very rare and ecstatic moment. "Congratulations!" She squeaked into Ellie's ear before letting go of her and offering her the happy grin.

The Prefect then moved on to the next player, the kid Nigel. She tackled!hugged him too, "You guys were awesome!!" Squeeeeeezing before she pulled away from him and ruffled his hair a bit, "Our pride just got an extra boost!" Who knew that Louisa would be this excited and happy for anything Quidditch-related?

On to the next player she could find so far, Louisa wrapped her arms around the rude boy's neck, Milton, and shouted in his ear, "EVERYONE WAS JUST GREAT!" Even the rude ones! She gave him the same squeeze that Nigel got and pulled away with her hands still on his shoulders, grinning at him with twinkling eyes. "I'm so proud of all of you!" And no, she wasn't tearing up, that'd be too much.

THEY DID IT.

Well..her teammates did it without her but she was still a part of the team and a member of their house so she had EVERY right to celebrate. Following the victory team and the overjoyed crowd, Beezus couldn't help but grin upon entering their Common Room.

*insert WIDE grin here*

At once, the other eagles had gathered around the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. She wanted to approach their Captain and greet her personally, but there were just too many Ravenclaws around the girl so Beezus decided to save her congratulations for later. Meanwhile, her eyes searched the vicinity for a certain eagle and immediately scuttled to her side once she did. "So...we finally won, eh?"

Eeep. It was Bee! Indy beamed at her best friend. They hadn't really talked much lately. She'd thought Bee was just disappearing. She was kind of disappointed that Bee couldn't play with them. It would've been so much fun. Indy smiled, turning to her friend. "We did!" She nodded with a big big big big big big big smile. She was so happy. It was such a good feeling. Although she was a little worried about what Dylan was going to say. He wasn't going to be happy.

"I wish you could've played though." She missed having her bestie up there with her.

Whoooa. Whoooa. TOO BIG of a smile there. She couldn't help but laugh, Indy might as well swallow her whole with that huge smile of hers. "You seem very happy." she commented, trying to sound casual as she stated the obvious. She was very happy that they won too! It was the first time for her to experience a Quidditch victory since she stepped on Hogwarts and DAAANG! It felt so good!

"Yeah. I wish I could have." And emerge as winners? Who wouldn't?! "But...you guys did a really fantastic job even without me." That was absolute truth. "You should be proud of yourself!" Because she was proud of her bestie and everyone else who made up the team.

Anna had been innocently on her way to the food table when she was suddenly stopped. She yelped as she felt arms tightly around her and she was lifted off her feet. And she was going to protest... then she realized it was a hug. She hugged the person back, still not knowing who it was until he yelled in her ear.

"MILTON?!" She squeaked, staring up at him when her feet were finally on the ground again. Was he okay? He HUGGED her. He didn't do that kinda thing!

...Obviously he was on some sort of high from winning the championship. 'Cause it was a big deal, Anna supposed, if you were into that kinda thing. So... she would be happy for him. "Congratulations," she said, a genuine smile stretching across her lips. "I'm sure it was a great game." Beam.

No SOONER has he left the stands did Vickers hear some sort of fighting at the Pitch between the Eagles and the Snakes. He knew something like that would happen, a game that tight with only one winner some hot heads were bound to demand taking their anger out of the opposite team. And that was the players. He can only imagine how it would've been between fans. Good thing he left early eh?

He was on his way up to their Common Room but decided to stop by the Library to collect his selected reading materials for the week, so upon entering the common room he had a smallish sized box filled with books tucked under his arm. But then his eyes lit up at the banner and decorations-- and that cake! Oh yeah, he's definitely helping himself with some of that cake.

But first the greetings. "CONGRATULATIONS EAGLES!! YOU DID IT!!!" he called out so happily. He bade hello to Indy and Beezus, and to Milton and young Nigel, then made his way towards Ellie, just when the Louisa was stepping back from her hug "Cap'n, that was the most INTENSE game I've seen in my life. I really thought we were done for! I mean we were all over that pitch but no matter what we did we werent scoring..." and now his frustration has found a voice. He was royally ticked off with how the Snakes systematically blocked every shot while the got away with their own..."But you pulled through! You did Cap'n! You are so AWESOME! Thank you!" he laughed and gave her a big hug, well as big a hug as one arm can muster.

Spike had finally made his way into the Common Room, after a frustrated few minutes with the knocker outside. Didn't the thing know he had a Quidditch match to prepare for? It'd made his head hurt more than the swollen, bandaged bit already did. Hmph.

Seeing his teammates already there, he waved to Ellie. "Wait for me before going down to the pitch? I got stuck in the..." Hang on, where'd he got stuck again? He rubbed his fingers on the back of his neck, catching the bandage wrapped tightly over his curls. Where had he just come from? The kitchens maybe. Or was it the Greenhouses?

Did it really matter when there was a Quidditch match to play against the Slythies? Sore head or not, he was ready to go!

"I just need to go grab my kit and broom from upstairs," he said to Ellie - oblivious to the massive cake and banner. And with that, he headed straight towards the girls dorms. "I'll only be five seconds..."

Presley would never admit it, but this was the entire reason she loved Hogwarts. Because over such a seemingly small thing, like a game, everybody let loose and screamed and hollered and allowed themselves to have a party unlike the kind Presley would ever have at home. A wide grin spread across her face. She was barely back to Hogwarts, just in time to see the Ravenclaws win the Quidditch cup for the first time since she'd been a Ravenclaw. It was a suprisingly wonderful feeling, not having to deal with the champion house's smirks. No, they were the champions this time! Presley cheered along with everyone else, and of course grabbed some delicious sweets. What was a party without sweets?

Elliot saw Presley come in, and immediately dashed over to her. It was the happiest Elliot had been in awhile, and the fact that Presley was back...well, it was the icing on the cake. If Elliot actually like icing.

"Don't eat too much, now, Presley, darling...youll ruin your figure..." she put on a really stuffy accent, joking completely. Elliot wished she liked sugar at times like these. And caked. But oh well. She would just get herself a drink or something.

Lily had taken her time getting off the pitch before heading to the locker room to take a shower. Even when she was in the locker room, she took her time, even though she was uber excited because they had just won the Quidditch Cup. She didn't really know why she was taking such a long time...she just was.

But eventually she made her way up to the common room, pausing to tell the knocker that they had managed to win. Quietly entering the common room, the second year arrived to a party going on celebrating their win. She beamed from ear to ear before heading over towards where the rest of the team was standing. "I still can't believe we did it!!!"

Taylor saw her friend and smiled, "Congrats, Lily!" She hobbled over to her friend and hugged her. "You and Harvey were amazing out there." Tay was happy for her two friends and had watched it all from the stands, still wishing that she hadnt broken her ankle before the game.

Presley heard Elliot's comment, and snickered. Elliot sounded just like one of the ladies who frequented the higher class parties. Presley couldn't recall her name, but she was sure that was who Elliot was mimicking. "That was a good game, wasn't it?" she asked excitedly. "I really didn't think we were going to get it, but we pulled through!" Presley adored quidditch, and almost nothing could get her as worked up.

Elliot nodded enthusiastically. "It was! I usually don't even enjoy Quidditch...but maybe now I do! Because it was awesome!" She sounded thrilled. Now she just needed to overcome her fear of brooms...and she would be all okay with Quidditch. Yep.

"I know...Merlin, I'm glad we won..." Sigh. "And its the first time its happened since we've been at Hogwarts! It was incredible. I've got to tell Father and Dani...Father won't be thrilled, SLytherin lost..." she snickered, fantasizing about his look of disproval. It was quite funny.

Yeah, that grin she was wearing was definitely permanent. It wouldn't go away. It wouldn't fade. And words couldn't describe how happy it made her to hear 'congratulations' and 'we did it' and 'you did it' from all over the Common Room.

AND TO BE HUGGED.

Ellie wrapped her arms around Louisa tightly. "Thank you!" She didn't want to release the Prefect. It felt SO GOOD to be hugged and congratulated for achieving something she's been striving for for YEARS. But eventually, the brunette pulled away to move onto others, and Ellie couldn't cling back. Besides, she didn't really know Louisa well enough for that.

MORE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

And suddenly, Vickers was right where Louisa had been just a moment ago. And....everything he was telling her just felt like a compliment. It was INTENSE and yet THEY persevered. He thought they were 'done for' and yet they WON!

Then he went on to the REAL compliments. The ones he MEANT to make. 'You pulled through' and 'you did it' and 'you are so AWESOME'

...But...thank you? She didn't know why he was thanking her, but she looked over it completely. THEY WON AND HE WAS COMPLIMENTING AND HUGGING HER! "THANK YOU!" Yes, SHE was thanking HIM. For the compliments and support and for being an amazing fan classmate. She wasn't tearing up AT ALL.

The books? Ellie was completely blind to those.

From over Vickers' shoulder, Ellie spotted Spike. SHAME the boy couldn't play. But lookit! He was feeling better! Out of the Hospital Wing and everything! "Spike!" she called to him, taking her arm off Vickers' back just for a brief moment so she could wave the curly haired boy over. "WE DID IT! Come celebrate!"

...WHAT was he going on about?

Curious, it was, but it didn't falter her grin in the slightest.

Taylor hobbled over to Ellie, on her broken ankle with her clutches, "Congrats on the wonderful game, Ellie." She smiled, "You all played brilliantly." Tay had wished she could of helped them but the best she could do with her ankle was cheer from the stands.
