A quiet tea shop where you can meet up with your friends.
Madam Puddifoot's is laid out in a typical English tea room fashion. Lace doilies cover each table, on top of the flower patterned table cloths. In the middle of each is a small container with a tea light in, ready to be lit for those there on a romantic retreat. The windows are half covered by fancy net curtains, leaving just enough room at the top to see over and down Hogsmeade high street. Little flower and heart covered cushions are on each seat awaiting your arrival.
Sapphira Puddifoot keeps the shop this way because she has to. But she has no desire to look upon all the fancy decoration herself, which is why you'll most likely find her in the back room. She'll come and serve you, but make sure you know what you want to order as she doesn't have all day.

Narumi walked into Madame Puddifoots, took a swift look at the menu. Well there were so many things to choose from, how ever was she going to decide! She looked at the the place it was awfully fancy, not that it was a probelm, it was just fancier than some of the other places on Hogsmeade. She sat down and waited to be waited upon or did she go up to the counter???
Selina had been wandering around Hogesmeade alone all day. She had some errands to run and she was not particularly in the mood to deal with a ton of people at the moment. Ever since she and Gideon had their little conversation almost two weeks prior she had been in a funk. There was very little that she did where she stopped thinking about it, what she could of done, how she could have fixed everything. It had literally been driving her mad and sad... But she had things she had to do and she did not have the luxury to sit around and mope all day. She had to get up and do things productive, she had to keep living because time was not going to stop just because she wanted it to.
After walking around Hogesmeade and picking up quills and parchment, Selina was hungry. So she headed over to the Three Broomsticks, but the line was up the wall and she was too hungry to wait. Then she went to Hogshead and she saw that it was also crowded. Her stomach rumbled so she knew she needed food. That left her one option- Madame Puddipukes Puddifoot's.
As she walked into the shop Selina could not help, but be annoyed by all of the romantic and love filled decorations. It was like it was mocking her, but she was hungry so she would just ignore it. Or not, it was everyone. MERLIN SHE HATED THIS!
Walking up to the counter she said, "Hello can I have a steak and kidney pie, some pumpkin juice, a banana split, bread and butter pudding, a slice of cheesecake, and a crumpet... please."

Urggh, the bell above the door had sounded. That meant only one thing - given what weekend it was. Children. Slamming her book shut, Sapphira put it down on the side and moved off her stool. Sure enough, there was a kid stood at the counter waiting for her. But at least she looked as miserable as her.
Not even being given a chance to speak was highly irritating, but at least the kid knew what she wanted. And it was quite a list. Making a mental note rather than write it down, Sapphira raised an eyebrow as the food order went on. "You sure you've got room for all that?" Kids these days. Still, she was getting paid for it.
Sniffing she went back into the kitchen and clattered about, slicing up what needed to be, and placing other things in dishes. Bunging it all on a tray, she took it back to the counter and placed it down. Pouring the bottle of pumpkin juice into a glass, she eyed the girl. "1 galleon, 8 sickles and 8 knuts." Please say she didn't have one of those blasted coupons.

As Selina riddled off her list of food she could see in the woman's eyes that she was not too pleased with Selina for just shoving her order down the woman's throat. The redhead did feel a patter of guilt for being rude, but she was not in the mood to really care about anything. All she felt was hunger and all of the rest of her feelings she wanted to just block out. It was not anything that the woman did, Selina was just too upset to really deal with anyone. That was why she had come into Puddipukes Puddifoot's alone. It was not exactly the kind of establishment that people went into without a significant other. And right now Selina was not sure she had one of those and it was her fault. UGH MERLIN! She did not want to even think about this right now.
When the woman inquired if she had room for it Selina was a little offended. Why did people always ask that question? Sure, Selina was just under seven stone and she was the size of a second year, but that did not mean that she could not hold her food. She was the Quidditch Captain for Gryffindor, which meant that food was in her blood... that was all athletes really did anyway- eat and play. But she could not be mad at this woman. She did not know who Selina was and by her attitude the redhead did not think that the woman cared much who she was anyway. So curtly the fifth year replied, "Yeah... I can handle it." That was Selina eating LIGHT.
Then she waited for the woman to ring up her check. As she waited her eyes wandered the room and she saw that Puddifoot's was CRAWLING with romance all over the place. No wonder why this woman was in such a bad mood... all of this all day long was enough to drive anyone mad. It was just too much and life wasn't as simple as love and hearts and all of that nonsense.
Her attention went back to the woman when she gave her bill. Selina's mind had been all over the place since the whole Gideon fiasco, so she payed full price without thinking of the coupon, "Here you go... do I just wait here or sit... or what?"

Daichi held the door open for Indy to walk in. He had been thirsty and they had decided to grab something to drink. He loosened his scarf as the warmth from the place hit his face and he looked around.
Daichi had never been in this place before . Neither did he know if he could actually buy drinks in this shop. He walked further inside and went straight to the counter. Daichi looked at the list and his mouth began to water as he read the words.
"Can i have a pineapple juice and a fruit cake please~?" he asked before looking at the Ravenclaw. "What do you want?"

Hmm. The first thing that Indy actually noticed when they walked in here was that it looked rather romantic. Indy hadn't even known that there was a romantic place in Hogmeade. This was a little weird. But it looked nice and cute. Hopefully people wouldn't think they had come in here on purpose though, they had just been thirsty, and it was a little cafe. That was all. There wasn't many people in here either, so it was all good really. Indy followed Daichi up to the counter, and looked at the menu. Oooh. There was lots of choice.
Oh....what did she want. She glanced up again, before looking at the nice lady. "Er....I'll have a orange jucie..." And errm...."And a chelsea Bun please." mmm. Yummy.

After he had ordered he waited to see what Indy would get. A Chelsea Bun.. Yuck! He didn't comment on it though as he looked at the Ravenclaw. "I'll pay for it" he smiled. It was only natural for the guy to pay right? Even if they were only friends. Besides, he didn't mind it when it was her.
"Shall we find a seat?" he asked as he moved towards one of the many flowery and heart print cushions. It squeaked a little as he sat down and he checked out the tealight on the table in front of him. It was not lit thank Merlin and he hoped it didn't either. "You were really great at the Quidditch match.. I cheered for youIMEAN your team!" awkward safe right there.

Daichi was gonna pay for her? Indy looked up at him smiling, and not blushing for once. Nobody had ever paid for something for her before. Apart from her brother anyway. And he had to pay for her, because he was her brother, and their mother made him do it. So it was nice to finally have someone pay something for her. She could get used to this. hehe.
"Okay..." She smiled, following him over to one of the tables. Aw. They were pretty, and looked rather girly. Indy smiled as she sat down. She hadn't considered that the place was rather romantic yet. Oh? He'd come to watch her play? That was nice. "Oh..." She blushed with a smile. "I can't wait to see you play..." She mused with a smile. Hopefully that wouldnt' be playing up against him though. Because that wouldn't be fun.

Damon walked in quietly, he looked back for Taylor, he'd honestly was ready to eat something he didn't have to worry about making him want to gag like he did with the E.F.B.'s they'd gotten at the candy shop, "Hello, may I please have a slice of cheesecake and a glass of water?" He looked at Taylor again, "Do you want anything?"
Tay nodded, "I'll take the same, if you wouldnt mind." She smiled and got out enough to cover both of their bills. "Here." Taylor held the money out to Damon.
He shook his head to her money, only taking half, "I told you that you weren't paying for anything else for me." He sighed, "If you want to pay for yours, go ahead, but I'm paying for my own at least, if you won't let me pay for yours."

Taylor sighed. "Fine, just take my half of the money." She smiled and slipped the other half back into her purse. Tay reached for his hand and kissed him on the cheek. "You are sweet though, Damon." She laid her head on his shoulder.

The Prefect frowned in an amused sort of way, yet another grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. Yeah, he's heard a fair share of what people thought Sierra was like. And all those times he's disagreed with them because he didn't care of what they thought. "I don't listen to what others say about you. They haven't got to know you like I have." He wasn't saying he knew knew her because there was a lot he still wanted to learn about her, but he had a feeling she hasn't shared things she's told him with others. "Plus, I like your attitude." Now that was something he wouldn't change, hehe.
About to speak again, Kennedy paused, his lips slightly parted. "You've had a birthday?" Of course, she has one, but a recent one he didn't KNOW about. Well, in this case a picnic was not enough. He got a twinkle in his green eyes and grinned mischievously. "You wouldn't mind a change of plans, would you?" He unhooked his arm from hers and instead linked their hands together, walking a different direction.
If she did mind she could stop him whenever she wanted.
Back at the Kite Flying Station...
"I am, too," Sierra said. What really made her happy, though, was that she'd found this great boy--this boy she could trust and be proud to call her own. Well, maybe not her own, not yet at least, but Sierra really hoped one day they'd be official. They somewhat were, in a way. At least, they were going on a date. That had to have some officialness behind it, right?
Sierra smirked. "I don't even listen to what others say about me," she said with a laugh. "I'm not really one of those people who get a kick out of hanging with large groups of people, though." She shrugged...then smiled. "Just one special person is good enough for me." Cue 'girl who's gushing over boy-'type look toward Kennedy. She winked when he said he liked her attitude. She liked her attitude, too.
Their arms were unlinking then, and Sierra was about to wonder if she'd said something wrong when he took a hold of her hand. She felt those butterflies flutter around in her stomach again, a feeling she was almost starting to welcome. They were crossing over into Hogsmeade, her hometown. She wondered if he knew she lived here. "Yeah, my sixteenth birthday. It's been a few weeks ago now, so...I'm guess I'm still getting used to the change in age," she said. She suddenly stopped. They were at the door to Madame Puddifoots now, and she felt even more butterflies flutter around in her stomach.

OH MY MERLIN, this was really a DATE, wasn't it?!
As they made their way down to Hogsmeade, Kennedy wondered if Sierra knew where they were going. Since they were on a date, mixed with celebrating her belated birthday, maybe she'd be curious. And she hadn't stopped him from bringing her here...which caused him to grin like an idiot. What? He was happy, 'k.
Just one special person is good enough for me.
Now, that and the way she looked at him would have made him blush madly back in the day, but now it made him smile a confident smile...but still, old habits were hard to kill and only a ghost of blush appeared on his cheeks. It wasn't enough to be labeled as one, which he was glad for. "That, Miss Greingoth, means we have a lot in common," he said with a waggle of his eyebrows. Yes, because Kennedy wasn't the kind to surround himself with a lot of people. As for special people, well, he was looking at her right now.
When they entered Hogsmeade, Kennedy scanned the shops, his eyes landing on the place he had in mind. "You'll get used to it," he said, stopping in front of Madame Puddifoot's door. "I've somewhat gotten used to saying I'm seventeen." Though, some times he still said he was sixteen.
Kennedy then opened the door with his free hand - he wasn't planning on letting go until they sat down, maybe not even then - and waited for her to enter first. "Welcome to Madame Puddifoot's, Madam," he said with a crooked smile.

Since Sierra lived in Hogsmeade, walking there was like second nature to her. She could probably walk there blindfolded, which was a good thing considering she'd been turned toward Kennedy and talking to him the entire time. Although now, she was staring up at the Madame Puddifoot's sign, trying to will her stomach full of butterflies to settle down.
Finally, she looked away and smiled at Kennedy. "You know, for a person who lives here, in Hogsmeade, I mean, I've never actually eaten here," she said. It was labeled the 'date place', which would likely why Sierra had never been there. She bet her mom and dad had, though. "Well, there's a first time for everything. Let's go."
So, errr...what now? Was she supposed to wait for him to open the door for her, or should she just take the initiative to bound on inside? She shifted from one foot to the other, her hand still clutched to Kennedy, until she noticed that he'd reached over at opened the door with his free hand. Hmm...impressive. Daddy Greingoth would be proud. Only, Daddy Greingoth didn't know about this date just yet. Maybe she should have told him first? It wasn't like she had any warning, though...
"Impressive, Escalante," she said, stepping through the doorway. Oh, dear Merlin! She was at the 'date place'!

"Why thank you, Greingoth," he said, amused, as they walked inside. His eyes searched for a comfortable table that said 'Sierra and Kennedy belong here'. Of course, none of them said that, but a table by the window looked just as perfect. It gave them a nice view of Hogsmeade.
He had something on his mind as he escorted them both to said table. Something she just said. Kennedy stopped at the table and pulled out a chair for her. "How is it that beautiful girl like you hasn't been here?" he asked, waiting for her to take a seat first.
That really didn't make sense to him because he was sure he wasn't the only guy to have his eyes on her. She smart, beautiful and an awesome Quidditch player. What guy wouldn't be attracted to that? Then again, he hasn't been here either. This was his first time as well.
Urgh. The blasted door bell had gone again. More kids no doubt, going by the sound of the voices. Frowning, Sapphira walked out from the back room and over to their table, pad and quill in hand ready to take whatever order they had. Quickly.
But they didn't seem to be in any rush. Rolling her eyes at the sickly sweet conversation going on, she tapped the end of her quill against the pad impatiently. "Are you ordering today, or just going to sit there whispering sweet nothings to each other?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. Because she had things to do.
Sarah walked in to the shop, she had talen a break from her shopping to gets something to eat. She was RAVENOUS!
She took out the menu and began too look through it -looked interesting. Crossiant or chelsea bun- she did not know, as for each one she had a particular request. She did not like raisins in he rChelsea buns or crosants with poppy seeds.
She walked up to the counter to order "Hello! I would like a chelsea bun sans the raisins please. Raisins in chelsea buns give me the heeby jeebys. Is that okay?"
Holding open the door to Madam Puddifoot’s for Cecelia, Leobald nudged her inside. She had been reluctant to come to this place since well it was a popular hangout place for the student population. Why that mattered Leo didn't know and really didn't care about, all he was interested in was getting some nice apple pie to go with his afternoon tea. And well Madam Puddifoot served the best in Hogsmeade. Tempting her with sugar and pie had finally caused Cecelia to give in and now they were here.
Gesturing towards a window table he said to her "Let's go sit over there. It will give us a nice view of the street and it will be in a less crowded corner." Going over to hold out her chair like a proper gentleman Leo surveyed the surroundings. A few students were there including two prefects. When Cecelia had sat down he went to sit down in his own chair.

The way they were starting to interact with one another sort of reminded Sierra of how her mother and father interacted with one another. Only, they called each other 'Captain' and 'Potions Mistress'. Seeing Kennedy's eyes search the area, Sierra, too, started to look around. Why was she so nervous anyway? This was Kennedy Escalante. It was just 'Kennedy the Date' instead of 'Kennedy the Co-prefect'.
Yeah. That's what her so nervous. That right there.
She followed him to the table then took her seat. She'd just gotten settled when he surprised her with a question she wasn't expected. "Well..." She'd just be honest here, in a cool sort of way, though. "Let's just say that you, Kennedy Escalante, are my first date." She shrugged. It really hadn't bothered her. Not that much. "So my very first impression of dating lies in your hands." Then she smirked. "No pressure, though."

...and then someone had joined them. Only, it was the waitress and not some third wheel. Even still, Sierra almost wished it had been some fellow student, because the first sentence out of the woman's mouth left the fifth year with her jaw dropped wide open.
Now she couldn't decide if she wanted to hex the woman or just crawl into a hole. Not hex. No, not with her father just down the street. Now crawl into a hole either, though. "Oh, err..." She wondered what the woman would say if she decided the 'sweet nothings' instead of ordering. She was enjoying talking to Kennedy.
"I'll take..." She hadn't even looked at the menu yet. She glanced at the menu, mentally flailing at being put on the spot.

After Sierra sat down, Kennedy did the same, slightly moving his chair so that he was almost next to her rather than across. He looked up to meet her eyes when she said he was her first date. He liked that. He liked that a LOT.
No pressure, though.
Kennedy hadn't thought of that until she mentioned it and now...well, the pressure was there. Not the bad kind, though. It was the kind of pressure that made him want to impress her even more. "Then I'll do more than my best to leave you with the greatest of impressions," he said with a grin mixed with a smirk. No pressure at all, right?

But they didn't seem to be in any rush. Rolling her eyes at the sickly sweet conversation going on, she tapped the end of her quill against the pad impatiently. "Are you ordering today, or just going to sit there whispering sweet nothings to each other?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. Because she had things to do.
...
Then they were interrupted. And rather rudely if anyone asked the Slytherin.
Kennedy refrained from frowning and instead picked up the menu, but didn't look over it. He was more displeased that Sierra was approached this way. "We'll need a few more minutes, Ma'am, we did just get here, but thank you," he said in his utmost politest tone, even sending her a little grin. The kind his father used when he was in the same room with someone he disliked.
He then turned to Sierra and grinned a true grin. She could take all the time in the world to choose what she wanted.

Why had she agreed to this outing with Leo? She had sworn to herself that she would never come to Hogsmeade again when it was a student weekend. Yet here she was, in Hogsmeade, going into Madam Puddifoot's of all places.
Looking towards the area Leo suggested, Cece agreed. "Yes, a less crowded area would be nice." Less crowded meaning no students around them to be nosy. Then again, if the rumors were true about this place the students wouldn't be paying any attention to Cece and Leo, they'd have way too many other things on their minds. After sitting Cece finally looked around the place. Not too many students in here... yet. Maybe this wouldn't be such a bad trip after all.
