Laura looked around nervously, she was going to do this but first of all she would have to think of the spell, though at the minute her mind was blank.

Minerva came into the kitchen area and found Laura. Her heart was racing and everything in her was saying get out. She was terrified of losing points and more terrified of anything else happening. "Laura, what have you talked me into." she gave a weak smile. She looked at her second year friend, "Okay, what are we doing now?"

Laura was glad that Minerva had come she had this funny feeling that she wouldn't have but well she did and that was great. "Oh we are doing anything major I just think we should celebrate last years wins." Laura giggled, as she took out a sign.

Laura looked at the wall where she was going to put it. "You know you changed my hair Hufflepuff colour can you do that to this wall, and then I can put this poster up?" Laura hoped her friend would like the idea.

Minerva was already starting to freak out. She had lost points before and hated it, she knew she wanted to have more fun this term, but she didn't know if her nerves could handle it. Minerva looked at the sign, "Oh I like it, but wouldn't it be seen better in like our common room?" just a suggestion really, that's all.

The she told her her plan, Oh no, she was going to get into trouble, wasn't she. "Umm Laura the spell I used for your hair, I don't think will work on the wall. I think you need a different spell to do that and I don't know it." she was good at spells, but she was only a third year, she hadn't learned everything yet.

Laura looked at Minerva and smiled. "Come on we won't get into trouble, do you see any Professor around?" Laura giggled. "Seriously by the time one finds this we will be long gone, it's either this or we go and dungbomb Professor Lafay's office, so take your pick and don't take too long or a Professor will come." Laura smiled nicely at Minerva.

Minerva looked at her in shock "You wouldn't..." she loved her friend, but was she nuts.. Minerva looked at the wall, "I'm telling you the hair spell will not do these walls." she pointed her wand hitting the wall "Ristaris!" She then looked at Laura, "See it's not the right spell. I'm really not sure what spell to use." she looked at the walls and tried to think of the correct spell. She then looked at Laura "Did you grow up in a wizard house, maybe she have heard one before." she didn't live in a wizard house so unless she learned it here or saw it in a book, she didn't know.

Laura looked at Minerva. "I would you know." Laura giggled, she wasn't scared of Professor Lafay, she was probably just a giant softy at heart. "Well we could paint the wall." Laura giggled, she had no idea what the professor would say to that. "Well nope I didn't my parents hoped I wouldn't get my letter for hogwarts." Laura sighed. "Well anyway what should we do?" Laura thought for a few minutes but couldn't think of anything, "We need something to go with the banner." Laura didn't think it looked right on the wall on it's own.

Minerva looked at her and felt her heart race. She wanted so bad to do this, to prove she was different then before, but she could feel herself screaming run out of here.. She rolled her eyes at Laura knowing she would go straight to Lafay's office and get them both burned at a stake. She turned her head to the wall and thought.. Think..think.. you have read enough books in that library the last two terms. There had to be something...

Then her face lit up.. Could she actually do it and get away with it. She was terrified, but was excited at the same time. "I swear if you get me locked away or something I am not helping you in any classes this term." she gave a small teasing smirk to Laura and pointed her wand "Multicorfors" nothing happened. She sighed maybe she couldn't do it. Then she pointed again "Multicorfors" still nothing.. "See Laura I'm not as good as you thought I was. I can't get this bloody charm to work." she closed her eyes trying to relax. She need to calm down that was the problem, points, detention, being expelled all jumped through her head. Breath your proving you can have fun even if you worry about classes and points. She opened her eyes and pointed again "Multicorfors" that time the wall changed to a nice Hufflepuff yellow. She smiled at her accomplishment and then it sunk in what she just did. "Let's get the sign up and get out of here..."

Laura looked at Minerva, "you can do it, I know you.." Laura started to say when the wall was yellow, "Cool I told you that you could do it." Laura giggled as she put the sign up where it was supposed to go, now though there was still something missing. "There's something missing but I can't figure out what, you should go and I'll catch you up when I think what it is."

Minerva looked at her.. Something missing?? What could be missing, she thought it looked great. "What do you think is missing?" She looked around. "Well maybe a nice badger, but I don't know how to make one." She looked at the door thinking about running, but didn't want to leave Laura behind either. She was so confused on what to do, so she just stood there looking at the wall figuring out what might be missing. "Laura I think it looks good, lets both go."

Laura looked at the wall and then smiled. "I don't know but surely there is something missing." Laura sighed, she would hate it to get in trouble but she didn't want her work to go in vain." Laura looked at the wall again and then back at Minerva. "I don't know what to do about the missing thing but maybe we should go."

Minerva sighed a bit and looked at the wall. She couldn't see anything missing. The sign looked great and so did the color. "Let's head out and then if we think of it we can come back and do it." she smiled at her friend hoping that would be enough to get her out before they were caught. She started heading to the door. "Let's get back to the common room." it was close she could see the portrait to go through. "Laura you coming?" she said as she walked out of the kitchen doors and headed straight for anywhere but there..

Nerida skipped through the corrider and stopped suddenly, YELLOW WALL?? HUFFLEPUFFS STUDENTS RULE THE WORLD?? What was going on? What did those Hufflepuffs do to their beautiful wall...Now it was a weird gross yellow color... She just couldnt stop stairing at the wall...

Laura was just about the leave when this Ravenclaw child came into the corridor, great well she couldn't get away now. "What do you think of this?" Laura smiled. "I just saw it, it looks great right." Laura really had no idea if the girl would believe her but she didn't care.

Nerida looked at the Hufflepuff and said You know what I think, I think you did it! How did you change the color of the wall? Not that Nerida wanted to know in all she was just a nerd and needed to know these kind of things...She was a Ravenclaw, she needed the knowledge!! Nerida probablly was wrong about this girl being the culprat but she would have sworn these walls used to be un-yellow and un-Huffelpuff...

Laura looked at the Nerida and smiled. "Yeah I'm a second year and I know advanced spells." Laura giggled, she wasn't going to tell the Ravenclaw that she had a friend Minerva who did the spell, she was sure she had met the girl before but couldn't think of where. "I'm Laura anyway nice to meet you."

Nerida laughed and said Hmm, well I think we'll be great friends. She smiled even if she was just kidding with her they could still be friends... She said Oh yes where did my manners go. Its wonderful to meet you Laura, my name is Nerida! Its very nice to meet you too!

SECOND YEAR EXPLORATION OF THE CASTLE WAS UNDERWAY.

Okay, so Darwin was only really down here because he needed to speak to Brooke, and he was pretty sure that if he wandered down near to her Common Room someone would come out and he could get them to ask her to. Or something of the sort. Either way, it wasn't until he could smell FOOD that he realised that he'd ventured down the wrong staircase and was near the kitchens instead of the dungeons.

He blamed the summer break wiping his memory.

OOH, but there was someone down here, someone he knew! The first person (well, other than Brooke, but she didn't count right now) that he'd met in Diagon Alley. "Laura!" he called out, hurrying his steps toward her. "And person I don't know! HI!" Maybe he'd had one too many packets of Skittles today. Or maybe it was his ADHD. Either way, he was a bit hyper right then.

And that was when he caught sight of the wall. "Uh, what HAPPENED? Who did THAT?" Surely they were gonna get into some trouble...

Nerida said back to boy Hello, strange Ravenclaw, I dont know either! After she finished laughing she told him I am Nerida Eventide. She liked this kid, he was very hyper!
She looked at the wall once more and said Not to say any names but, Laura did that... She looking at the yellow wall again and thought what would be her punishment, if the professors found out.

Laura looked around and saw Damon. "Hi Damon, where have you been hiding?" Laura pouted, seriously this boy seemed to like hiding. "Oh it's okay we won't get into trouble, Professor don't come down here, well I've never seen one around here before.

Laura looked at Nerida and glared. "I have told you 1000 times I couldn't do it if I wanted to." Seriously this girl needed her ears cheeking. "Where would I learn such a spell?"

"Damon Riley," Darwin replied, grin flashing across his face. At least she hadn't been offended by his bluntness, as some people would have done, and she'd been amused by it. He hoped she was amused by it, and not just laughing at him, anyway. The thought that someone would laugh at him was not a nice one, Darwin didn't think anyway. But it hadn't been a mean laugh, so he'd go with the former.

Looking back at Laura, he poked lightly at her chin. "Don't pout," he said, pouting a bit himself. "I haven't been hiding anywhere!" 'Course he hadn't, they just hadn't crossed paths for a while, which was a shame, really. "They don't? Well, that's alright then." And he did hope he himself wouldn't get into trouble if the teachers did turn up. This was obviously a Hufflepuff's doing.

And he was a Ravenclaw.

That meant he was fine, yeah?

Yeah. He glanced back at the wall, and then once again between the two girls. "LAURA, did you REALLY?" No, she couldn't have done! She was only a second year, wasn't she? Like him! And unless she was super dooper clever.... No, she'd just admitted to not doing it, so he was going to believe her. "I believe you, but if it wasn't you... well, who was it?" THAT was the question.

Lana had no idea what had lead her down this way toward the kitchen and the Hufflepuff Common Room, but since she was already on her way; she continued on. There was a sinking feeling in her stomach and just as she rounded the corner she blinked as she took in wall. For some odd reason she feeling she had in her stomach had lead her there and usually with that feeling, one person was involved.

Hearing voices, she turned in that direction and rested her hands on her hips. "LAURA!"

Laura looked at Damon and smiled. "I have no idea, I just got here before this idiot did." She pointed to Nerida. "Who seems to think I'm so great at spells I can say anything and do spells so advanced that it would take me ages to learn, I'm surprise she hasn't said that I invented the wheel, since i'm mighty clever." Laura giggled and then stopped when she heard her name.

Laura slowly turned around, she recognised the voice and it wasn't very good news if Lana investigated then she was sure that she would know she was lying. "Sis, I er, I er, I was just telling Damon that this wall looks great, even if I don't know who it was that did this." Laura smiled nerviously at her sister. "Anyway what are you doing down here? I don't see you here much."

Only catching bits and pieces of the conversation, Lana made her way over; her hands still on her hips. She knew better than to think that this was all a coincidence. The walls were not supposed to be this colour and she knew what that nervousness that her twin was projecting could possible mean. Something fishy was going on and Laura was somehow part of it.

Eyeing her twin, she stopped beside her and crossed her arms over her chest as she looked the wall up and down. "I'll admit that the colour is nice and it does add some brightness to the corridor, but whomever did this might get in trouble if a professor sees it." she replied. It was still school property after all and getting in trouble wasn't something she wanted to get into.

Turning back to Laura, she shrugged. "A funny feeling lead me down here. I was actually on my way to the library actually."
