Upon entering the arena, it may have been a familiar sight for those who attended the first defense against the dark arts lesson last term, though slight changes were taken. The arena was exceedingly dark, windows having been closed off with dark burgundy, almost black looking, drapes that hung from ceiling to floor. Deep purple colored mats were lined perfectly from one another in the middle of floor in rows of eight while a deep red mat sat in the front of them all where Professor Medea currently was lazily sitting upon. However, one could still find their way around the room, for scattered around the edges of the arena, far away from where they all would be sitting, were a great deal of candles, both lighting portions of the walls, floors, and ceiling itself in a rather ghostly glow fashion. Candles that floated in water surrounded with the stationary ones to light up the particularly extra shiny floor were flickering, while the ceiling was lit with an orange glow from the hovering candles, most commonly seen in the Great Hall. Don't worry though. No candle wax will be dripping to the floor.
In front of each mat is a parchment already shaped into a long triangle to be easily placed in front of you to read, exactly as how they were last term. What they are for, returning students may know, but for those who don't, fret not. The Professor will say what to do eventually. So please come in and become comfortable on one of the mats. Class will be starting shortly!

Zhenya walked into her first DADA lesson as a third year and was momentarily blown away. It looked incredible in here! She walked in with an amazed smile on her face and, not wanting to disturb the peaceful vibe she was getting, waved at Professor Medea with a bit smile. She took a seat near the middle of the class and closed her eyes for a moment.

Defence Against the Dark Arts! One of the classes Nora was looking forward to attending the most!
Although... she was a bit tired. Sleepily making her way to the first floor, the girl finally reached the classroom. Rubbing her eyes, she stepped inside to see that it was barely lit, which was good. Maybe she could take a nap before the class would start. "Hello, professor," she smiled at the woman, after which took a seat on one of those mats. Were they going to practice some yoga positions... again? Not that she didn't like it, but she was too sleepy to start bending in all sorts of positions.
The Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom isn't difficult to find. He doesn't have to climb up to the seventh floor like he had to during Divination. Slytherin's common room is in the dungeon, for bacon's sake! Xing doesn't have enough calories to burn to walk up seven floors of staircases. Lucky D.A.D.A. is on the first floor!
Pushing the classroom door open, the fourth year doesn't enter just yet. Instead, he peeks in his head to see a dark classroom only to be illuminated by dim candles light. Yup. Seems like Defense Against the Dark Arts to him. Xing pushes the door open wider before shutting it back behind him. "Hello, Professor..." What's her name again? Romananoes... Romataniff... Romatov! "Professor Romatov!" he greets cheerfully. "I Xing Canterbury. Nice to meet you." After bowing ninety degree, he walks away to find a seat only to realise there aren't any... Other than... Are those yoga mats?

Now, this sounded like a very cool lesson. Theodore hadn't a clue about any kind of dark arts, and it kinda freaked him out to know they were out there. And the fact that they needed to learn defense skills at SCHOOL made it worse.
Anyway, Theo skipped into the daaaaaark arena, and quickly sat upon one of the purple mats. Meep. This was kinda freaky.
"Hello... Professor." He whispered.

Defense Against the Dark Art class, finally! Gary walked from the dungeons to the classroom. But now, where was the classroom? He tried to remember the location. Good, next time he should memorize where were the classrooms, or maybe he must write it at his journal.
After wandered around the first floor. Finally! The blonde guy found the classroom. Thank Merlin he didn't reach the upper floor first! He entered the classroom and amazed. Was it a classroom or mediation room? He noticed purple mats around the class, candles were floating around. "Wow.." he whispered to himself.
"Good day Professor..." said him calm. What was her name? Okay, he didn't know yet. Then.. where should he sit now? Maybe it would be better if he sat at the corner as usual. His favorite spot.

Alex entered the classroom excitedly. Defense Against the Dark Arts was her favorite class last year and she was looking forward to the first class of the new term. "Hi Professor", Alex said as she passed by her on the way to finding a mat. Choosing one in the middle of the classroom, Alex sat down and allowed herself to relax. She waited for the class to begin.
Damon sighed, ugh... Time for one of his least favorite classes... He knew how to defend himself already, Puck made sure that did, and that was without magic. But noverre the less, here he was... "Good day Professor." He said politely before sitting down on a mat in the back of the room, Please let this class end quickly...
Ah! The sweet and wondrous joy of being back in this room made Jezzabelle's heart take flight. She walked in with a cheerful, "Hello Professor Medea," and found the perfect spot on one of the mats. If this was anything like last year she was more than excited for it. She was ready. She had even practiced at home.
She stared around the room and couldn't stop the laugh that escaped her lips. To think she had probably found this room to be creepy. No, there was nothing creepy about it. It was calming and it was the calming effects of the room that caused the young lion to relax. Something she had failed at doing since coming back to the school. Yes, this was the class she needed.

Taylor waved to Damon then motioned for him to sit on the mat next to her. She did a little pleading face.

did the Professors hate him or something?
Daichi stepped reluctantly inside the classroom. It looked the same as it had done last term during their first lesson but Daichi's mind wasn't thinking about if they were going to do the same thing. It was blank as he shuffled through the room in a very slow motion.
The Slytherin sat down on one of the purple mats. Eyes still looking suspiciously at the candles around them and he grabbed his phoenix feather wand in case something happened. Turning his gaze away from the scary fire he looked at the Professor at the front he raised his hand in the air. "P-professor...h-hello" he stuttered , absolutely not like his normal bubbly self. Holding his arm down, Daichi let out a shaky breath as he staaaaared at the fire with fear in his eyes as though it could attack him any second. Hence why he was holding his wand.

Alyssa arrived at the DADA classroom and but didn't enter immediately as she first had to adjust her eyesight. The room was very dark and it was hard to see where everything was. If there weren't so many candles lighting the way, some floating in water, while others stationery, she would not have even been able to see Professor Romanos, who was already in the room seated on a purple mat.
Alyssa made her way to the Professor, trying to avoid bumping into the other students who had arrived earlier, and greeted her.
"Hello Professor. It is good to be back here again." Alyssa told the Professor before making her way to the nearest empty purple mat. She placed her bag on the floor and sat down on the mat. She noticed in front of her a parchment shaped into a long triangle placed in front of her mat and smiled. It was good to be back in this class.
So as she waited for the Professor to start the lesson proper, Alyssa closed her eyes, cleared her mind and began to meditate. She knew that this was the one place that she could do that without anyone thinking that she was weird. Alyssa needed to feel at peace, even if it was only for a few minutes.

Sierra stepped hesitantly into the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom. She just really didn't want to do any yoga today. Were they going to have to do yoga? Sierra was feeling lazy today and didn't want to exercise while learning. She'd get up and cast spells, yeah, but that kind of thing came naturally. Yoga poses were just weird.
She paused when she saw the mats and made a slight frowning face. Blahh. Maybe they were for sleeping, though. One could only hope. Then there were the candles. Merlin, it looked like a candle fest in here. Sierra avoided looking at most of the candles, because she'd seen such decorations in lots of places before.
She sighed to herself, plopped down her bag, and took a seat on a nearby mat. "Hello, professor," she managed to say.

DADA lesson is finally up. Jonathan is really happy since it's one of his favorite subjects. Now to wait for Lafay for Potions to start the lecture too. What was taking that woman long?
Anyways, Jonathan knew that professor Romanos LOVES anything that has to do with yoga. Last term, when Jonathan was still around she made them do these yoga things. They were quite hard especially to people who doesn't do yoga or exercise at all. It was harder enough to answer while doing some weird positions.
So today, he is looking forward to another session of yoga with Professor lovely Romanos. Entering the room, Jonathan smiled. Same old same old. It was dark just like the usual. The windows were blocked with dark colored curtains and there are candles everywhere. Jonathan made his way to his usual spot, which is over to the front. He likes sitting in front when it is his favorite subject.
When he can finally see Professor Romanos, he smiled and gave her slight bow "Nice to see you again Professor" he said sitting down on one of the mats.
Silvia wasn't surprised when she stepped into the room for the first Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson of the term to find the same set up as last year; darkness and yoga mats, except that it seemed even darker than usual. Though that could have just been her imagination.
"Hello Professor Medea," she said as she made her way over to her chosen mat. Silvia sat down and placed her bag beside her. Taking a quick look around she spotted her friend Alex and gave a small wave. Then she turned her attention to the parchment in front of her and reached for it.

Maxwell walked into the classroom, it was very dark and he was not a fan of yoga...he found it far too challenging while he thought and while he knew this was the point he still didn't care for it. "Hello, Professor." He said with a slight nod. He took a mat next to Taylor. "Hey." He said quietly, offering her a smile.

Ella walked into DADA with a smile. She had loved this class last term. As she noted the familiar sight of the purple mats, she also spotted the professor sitting upon on her own red mat. "Hello Professor!" She greeted cheerfully before taking a seat and pulling the piece of parchment towards her.
Tay looked as Maxwell took the seat that she was motioning DAmon to sit in. "Hey..." She gave him a half smile and glanced at Damon, using her eyes to motion to the other seat. Taylor wanted to be near her... cousin.
Nigel walked into class excited for his first Defense Against the Dark Arts Class. When he went through the door he thought it was a yoga studio. All these mats were lying on the floor. Nigel had never done yoga and was a little nervous. He went over to a empty mat and sat down thinking what should he do to pass the time before class started

Maxwell sent a half smile back, feeling he did something wrong by taking the seat. 'It's whatever, I'm here to learn to defend myself so who cares right now.' He thought shrugging it off and preparing for the awful yoga that was to come.
Sophie could have been scared like last term, but since nothing bad happened to them, she was actually ready for whatever was going to happen in this class. She had a smile on her face that didn't fade this time.
"Hello, professor Romanos!" She said happily taking a seat on one of the purple mats. She quickly took a quill out of her bag and wrote her name on the nameplate.

Entering, Kurumi felt a little more nervous than usual when it came to Defense Against the Dark Arts for whatever reason. It wasn't that she didn't have any confidence in the subject. She had received an O on her OWL, so that meant she was doing something right, but Kurumi felt it had more to do with the extra lessons that Professor Romanos had given her last term - lessons she needed to set up with her again this term.
"Good day, professor," Kurumi said with a polite bow, as usual. Kurumi then made her way to the front of the room and tried to avoid eye contact with a certain Slytherin. He seemed to not want to look at her, so it was probably for the best if she didn't, right? That was how he wanted things, wasn't it. Thankfully, or not, Kurumi's attention was drawn to another Slytherin. "Daichi?" she whispered in a small voice. "Here, come sit by me." She even patted the empty mat next to her for emphasis.

Pyrsephonie looked around the room in awe. The area looked mysterious. She especially liked the candles. She noticed mats on the floor. The ones for the students are the purple ones, she figured, because a woman, the Professor, sat on a red mat in the front of the room.
"Hello Professor," Pyrsephonie said, smiling. "I'm Pyrsephonie Freja Oedegaard." After introducing herself to the Professor, she found herself a mat and sat down. She found the nameplate and wrote her name:

Damon did the same motion to the mat next to him, moving up, even for her would not happen... He did not like the class, when he didn't like a class he sat in the back.
