Two years have passed and I have never actually been here, the girl thought as she walked slowly along the corridor. Finally stopping in front of a closed door, Gwendolyn thought something interesting might be kept inside. Well…let’s see what it is, she told herself and looked around, just to make sure no one was around.

After opening the door slowly and making it squeak, Gwen scanned the place. BLAH. Nothing interesting to see in here, she thought and frowned. Everything covered with white sheets and dusk, cobwebs and useless stuff. Phew. Why didn’t anyone clean this place up?, she thought and was about to enter the room, just to make sure there wasn’t anything else she couldn’t have spotted from outside.

‘What….?’, the third year mumbled when realizing there was some kind of a barrier. O______________o Why can’t I get in? This is odd, Gwendolyn thought and made a step back.

Nate was wondering around and then he saw someone. "Hello. I'm Nate."

‘So this was charmed…’, the girl mumbled and stared at the room, trying to understand what was going on there. Something stopped her from getting in. A spell. A charm. Somewhat. I understand- I can’t get in… but there’s one more question remaining- WHY?, the third year thought and kept scanning the place. Why? It’s not like there’s anything precious in here!

‘Hmm?’, Gwen said when she thought she heard a voice. Turning around, the girl hoped it was some other student, and not some voice coming from …there. ‘Oh… hi’, the ravie said looking at the younger boy. ‘Err… I don’t think we met before’ You are probably a first year. ‘Nice to meet you’, Gwen added after a short pause.

After a few minutes, in which she kept thinking what was so special about the room, the Ravenclaw realized she hadn’t introduced herself. ‘I’m Gwen, by the way. Gwen Greene’, she smirked to the boy and then closed the door before he could start asking questions she couldn’t answer. ‘What are you doing here?’

"I was heading down to the library then I heard a voice."

While closing the door carefully, Gwendolyn listened to the younger student talk. 'Oh...', she only said, looking a bit puzzled. Why did he even decide to come along the corridor, when he could have simply climbed down the stairs...? Ah... he's probably new around. 'So you are a first year?', the Ravenclaw wanted to see if she was right.

'What house are you in?', she then asked, moving slowly away from the door. This place is not one of my favorite at Hogwarts, the girl told herself while waiting for Nate to respond.

"Yes I'm a first year and I'm a hufflepuff. All of my family was a raveclaw. I like being different though. What year are you? And what house are you in?" He said with a warm smile.

So I was right. 'How do you like it here so far?', the third year asked Nate. Truth be told, Gwen didn't really care what other people said, but she had to admit, it was always interesting to see what the new ones think of Hogwarts.

'Hufflepuff?', the girl mumbled. O___o When did I start meeting all the puffs? In the past two years, she only spoke to one student from that house- Jory. And now, all of a sudden... Let's see- there was Daisy on the train, the one I met at the feast, but can't remember her name... and now another one?! Odd.

Realizing that she'd been acting a little odd since Nate said he was in Hufflepuff, Gwen smirked and hoped he didn't think she was crazy. 'Congratulations', the third year finally said. 'Oh, I'm in Ravenclaw, like my mom', she said proudly. 'My dad was in Slytherin, and I kind of wanted to be a Snake too', she announced and, after a short break she added: 'But I don't feel sorry I got Ravenclaw. Once you are sorted into a house you start liking it way more than the others'

'Third', Gwen said curtly. There wasn't much else she could have said about it...

"My cousin Taylor is in ravenclaw and it is awsome."

'Awesome?', Gwen mumbled and raised her eyebrows. So Joanna wasn't the only one to use this word. Hmm... Then again, Ravenclaw is awesome. 'No doubt', she smirked and looked at the younger boy. It was way better than some other houses, anyway.

'Taylor?', the girl mused. I don't know any Taylor in Ravenclaw. I don't know many students from my own house. 'Haven't met', she raised her shoulders. And she pretty much didn't care either. However, the ravie felt the need to ask: 'So what year is your cousin in?' Didn't graduate yet, right?

A bit upset that Nate ignored her previous question about Hogwarts, Gwen thought it would be best to just drop it. Or not. 'Anyway', she said after a short pause- 'What do you think of the classes?'

Tayla wandered around the castle carrying the only vase she still hadn't chosen a place for. It was a rainbow-coloured vase with yellow tulips - the brightest-looking vase and arrangement she had made.

Almost half an hour walking around the castle, she reached a sad-looking door at the fifth floor. "I don't think I've been here before," Tayla thought curiously. "I wonder what's inside."

Tayla approached the door and was a little surprised how easily it swung open. She expected it to be locked.

She stared at what met her eyes. It was dank, dusty, and vacant. She felt sad just looking at the room filled with cobwebs, dust, and old sheets over the furniture. She took another step, wanting to explore the room and feeling she had found a place for the flowers she was carrying.

"Huh?" she stopped suddenly, unable to enter. She tried going through the doorway again but couldn't. She looked around the doorway and touched the invisible barrier with her hand. She couldn't get through it no matter how hard she pushed.

Tayla sighed, but still wanted to leave her vase here. She bent down and put it beside the door. "Erm..." she began. "I hope...you like these flowers. I hope they remind you of...happiness. And...I hope...you find peace."

Tayla shook her head and blushed, not knowing why she said anything in the first place. Then she took one more look about the room and left.

While exploring the castle, Ella came to an old door she had never noticed before. She looked around quickly to check and see if anyone was around and then placed her hand on the doorknob gingerly, curious to see what was behind the door.

It was surprising how easily the door opened despite the fact that this room had clearly not been occupied in a long time. The white sheets and cobwebs that covered nearly everything gave the room an eerie feeling and Ella shivered, wishing she hadn't decided to wander the castle alone. She attempted to step forward, moved by her inquisitive nature, but was surprised to find her path blocked. She put her hands out in front of her, as her eyes could not detect whatever was blocking her path, and they too could not penetrate the invisible barrier. "Curious..." she whispered.
