Minerva went right into the lab after leaving Professor Lafay's office. She knew exactly what she wanted to do. She was tired of take the anxiety medicine, but she did not want to tell anyone why the muggle doctor put her on the medicine for her anxiety and panic attacks. She was so tired of the dizziness that went with the medicine. She grabbed the book of potions skimming through hoping it was in there and YES it was. The calming potion she smiled to her self and got her note book out. Writing down the ingredients she took the note book to the storage area and got out everything she would need and went back to her table. It seemed like a quick and easy spell she wondered if she could make the potion double so there would be more.. She decided not to just make it how it says at first if it worked she would come back.

Nate walks in. "Hi Minerva." Nate walks over to one of the tables with a bag full of ingriedients. "If you're wondering what's in the bag it's herbs and spices for a potion. I picked the herbs myself at my house. Well my sister did, and sent it by owl."

Minerva smiled at Nate "Nate call me Minnie that's what all my friends call me." She looked concerned with the bag "Umm Nate make sure it is a proper potion you are making I would hate to see Professor Lafay get upset with you. She has to check all potions after you have finished there are a book of potions right here if you ever need to look through it." She turned back to her own potion getting her cauldron out she looked back to Nate. "Oh Nate make sure you clean your tools before you use them every time you do a potion." she remembered seeing Professor Lafay getting upset with students that forgot last term. She pulled her want " Scourgify" there cauldron was clean. Then she looked at her notes She pulled her wand again "Aguamenti" and filled a pint of water into the cauldron. She started her fire under the cauldron to warm the water. Once the water was warmed she put 6 drops of fluxweed oil into the warm water.

She hadn't expected this but it was true. At last, the Potions Laboratory was now open. She had been excited to try out brewing another potion just as much as she wanted to be taught how to bake a cake. And now, that it was open, her mission would surely commence. Hehe.

Taking a peek first, she pulled the strap of her backpack tightly on one of her shoulders. Lessons just finished a while ago which meant that all her references for the various subject she attended were still in her bag. Seeing as Professor Lafay wasn't around yet, she hesitated for a moment but since she had not broken in or anything and as long as she does her brewing correctly and carefully, then won't need to answer for anything.

Beatrice took light steps as she approached a vacant table, placed her backpack on it and proceeded to where the Potions Recipe book was placed. She was going to brew a Wit-Sharpening Potion, she'll be needing that soon, since she was already a second year and for sure, lessons would be much harder. "Wit Sharpening Potion by Potion Mistress Kris Airlia.." She muttered as she quickly scribbled down the ingredients and steps on a tiny parchment for they were not allowed to bring the Recipe book anywhere else.

Once she was finished, she headed to the wall where she took out her needed apparatuses then proceeded to the closet where she got her ingredients and protective gear.

"Time to start.." The young Ravenclaw said as she put on her gloves and goggles.

Starting off with the first step, she poured the 500 ml water into the cauldron and lighted the burner under it with a low flame, just allowing it to simmer. Next, she added the coarsely ground scarab beetles into the water, stirring the mixture five times in a clockwise direction. Referring to her parchment, she read the third step, "Allow to simmer for 5 minutes," More simmering..So she covered the cauldron, and looked at her watch to take track of the time.

After five minutes, Beezus added the ginger and allowed it to simmer once more, because that was what it says in the instructions. Then after twenty more minutes, she removed the cover of the cauldron so that its contents would be cooled while she started cleaning up the apparatuses she had used and the remaining ingredients back on their respective shelves and places yet also taking note of stirring the potion seven times every three minutes in an alternating clockwise and counter-clockwise direction.

Referring once more to the parchment, she silently read the next step and tested it. "No more heat," she mumbled as she pulled away her wand which was a second ago placed above the potion. Then...she added the armadillo bile.

Allowing the potion to sit, she continued cleaning up, when she was finished, a foul smell was already covering the Laboratory and as she looked at her watch, exactly eight minutes has passed.

"Done. Done. Done!" She said happily.. As is she was very much engrossed in her potion making, she hadn't noticed that the Potion Mistress had arrived and so when she was heading to get some vials, she greeted the Professor courteously, "Hello Professor Lafay. I'm done with the Wit Sharpening Potion. I'll just place it on the vials," she held up the vials, "And I'll clean up."

"Four, five..five vials.." All in all, the potion she brewed had consumed five vials so of course, she needed to leave behind the remaining four. The eaglet then labeled the four vials that she'd be leaving in the laboratory with her name and the name of the potion then she placed her own vial safely tucked on the side pocket of her backpack.

"Professor, here are the vials.." She said as she handed over the four vials to the Potions Mistress. She had cleaned up the cauldron, the table and all the apparatuses she used. She had successfully brewed the Wit Sharpening Potion!

Next Minerva got the bloodroot stems out and with her clean knife she cut the stems length wise and began to scrape out all fluid and fibrous material. Once it was all out Minerva began crushing with her clean mortar. Once it was in a paste Minerva added the paste to her cauldron. She then began stirring her potion clocking wise and then counterclockwise. The cauldron began to steam lightly so Minerva knew she was done smiling that she had just completed her first potion. She put the potion into the container and went to Professor Lafay. "Could you approve my calming potion Professor."

It was open! The Potions Labortory! She loved Potions it was her favourite class defently and Proffeser Lafay didn't bite unless you agrevated her with questions and nasty remarks or did your work wrong if you just stayed quiet and answered the questions correctly the chances of being killed by the end of the class are much lower

She was making today... Camraderie Concotion... Taught by Valon Kazimeriz! She wasn't making it for any praticular reason she could possibly useit on Lafay on somtime in the future but for now it was just testing out her potions skills again




''Ingrediants...,'' she muttered to herself she walked over to the long..long, long shelf of phials, ingrediants and other Potion objects
She smiled to herself at the thoughts of the potion she'd have to test it somone right.. Ok-aY she got her phials and ingrediants and took them back one at a time to the table she was working at

She put on her gloves and goggles ''NOW! to start,'' she whispered glancing at the two girls that had already started their Potions but looked back you had to have concentaration when you were Potion making it was one of the 5 C's of Potion making! ''Scourgify,'' she said just to be sure, she put in the three phials water and turned the burner on low... She then waited for the steam to raise, hopfully that wouldn't take to long she wanted her Potion done and dusted and cleaned up before Proffeser Lafay came well she wouldn't mind but she would rather it been wrong and went off and tried it on somone than Lafay snapping at her

The steam was now rising upwards she decided she should go on.. She crushed her one snake fang, then put it into the cauldron, then stured clockwise one, then she added one dram of the dried nettles and stirred once clockwise again, She read through the ingrediants again quite emm presise I mean A light silver smoke... She waited for that to happen

After a while the light silvery smoke started rising FINALLY! She then added the 1 ounce of raindrops and then the 12 dried daisies now she had to wait for the mixture to come to a boil... Tick Tock

Aurora made her way down to the laboratory. She hadn't brewed anything for over two weeks and she was itching to get back to it.

Hmm, but what to make..? She flicked through the potions recipe book and picked a page at random. Oooh! This looked fun.


First things first, Aurora collected her necessary equipment - measuring jug, stirring rod, three dishes, mortar and pestle - produced her wand and scourgified everything, including her cauldron and her work space. Then she took the measuring jug and, using aguamenti carefully measured out 500ml of water. Then she poured it into her cauldron and lit a fire underneath it. "Incendio."

Right... now all she had to do was wait for the water to boil and she could carry on.

As she was waiting she measured out the rest of her ingredients. 2 Acorns... she pulled the caps off and crushed them, placing the crushed meat into one of the dishes. Then she placed a pinch of billywig wings into another dish and one dram of scurvy-grass into the final one. That's that prepared... now to wait for the water to boil, can't be long now.

She looked at the vials and took them. "I'll test them later." Then she put the vials in her desk. They looked right anyway.

She took the container and looked it over. She drew her stirring rod and dipped it in. "Consistency and color are good. I'll approve it." She told the girl.

She watched the girl waiting to see if her cauldron would blow up... it shouldn't...

Minerva took the container back "Thank you Professor Lafay" she was excited to head and try the potion. She would wait until it was time to take her medicine again, instead she will drink this she thought looking at the container. She went back to her work station and cleaned up her area. Make sure the tools she used were sparkling clean and that nothing was left out of place. She then headed out of the lab know she would be back soon.

Isabelle opened her book to the tagged page which had the swelling solution on it. She quickly went and got all of the ingredients she needed to make her potion and sat down at her lab station. Putting her saftey googles on she began to read.


"Scourgify," she said as she cleaned out her cauldron first. Carefully she filled her cauldron with exactly 500mL of water. "Incendio," she muttered and a small fire began under her cauldron. She waited as the water slowly came to a slow boil.

Then Izzy took her houndstongue and ground it using her mortar and pestel. Weighing it she got there to be exactly .5 grams of it. She threw it into the slow boiling water and grabbed her spoon. "Scourgify," she pointed her wand at her spoon. It should be clean also. She then used the spoon to steadily stir in a clockwise motion around once, twice, three times...22 times.

Then she carefully grabbed her lionfish quills and dropped them in, careful not to stir them. She watched as the solution boiled for about five minutes. Then the solution looked a dull yellow.

Carefully handling the dragon saliva she used a dropper and took a drop of it, and dropped it into the solution. It sat on top of the surface so she watched and waited for a couple of minutes before it finally sank into the rest of the solution.

She then crushed her rattlesnake fang and combined it was 5 grams of thinly sliced ginger roots which she ground together. Then she added this to the potion and stirred clockwise for 2 minutes. Finally she removed her cauldron from the fire and continued stirring for 10 minutes. There it was finished. She grabbed a phial and placed her swelling solution inside it and stoppered it.

Isabelle carefully cleaned up her workspace before taking her phial to Professor Lafay. "Professor, here is my swelling solution," she said as she gave her the phial of solution.

Right, the water was just boiling, Aurora tipped in the rest of the ingredients and began to stir, taking note of the time so that she could be sure not to stir for more or less than five minutes.

Nate cleans off his cauldron and ladle. "Aguamenti." He says while pointing his wand at the cauldron. Water fills the cauldron. "Incendio." He says while pointing his wand at the burner his cauldron was on top of. "Now while that's coming to a boil I might as well get the ingriedients ready. The armadillo bile. Got that good. Pepsi, got that. Some cherry syrup. 1 powdered moonstone and a chocolate bar." The water starts to come to a boil. "Okay so add the armadillo bile first." He says while looking in the potion book. He adds that to boiling water. "Now add the pepsi, and the cherry syrup." He puts in the pepsi first and the cherry syrup after that. "Now it looks like I have to stir it." He takes the ladle and starts to stir it. It changes from a pink red to a pale purple. "Now for the powdered moonstone." He adds that to. "Now for the final ingriedient the chocolate bar." He adds that, and it starts to disolve rapidly. Then a whisps of white smoke erupt from the surface. "Now I have to let it cool, and it will be finished." After about five minutes it finally cools down. Nate takes out a vial and fills it up with the liquid.

Okay, that was five minutes up and her arm was aching so Aurora put out the fire under her cauldron. Then, taking up the rod once more, gave it another stir -just one - and then waited another minute.

Then she stirred again and waited a minute.

Then again.

and Again.

And finally, one last stir.

Aha! Done. Aurora removed her stirring rod from her cauldron and set about cleaning everything she had used as the potion cooled. Then she replaced all her equipment and retrieved some phials.

By this time the potion had cooled, so Aurora decanted it into phials and labeled them.



Then she finished by cleaning her cauldron and work area, picking up her bag and taking the phials to the front of the laboratory where she placed them on Professor Lafay's desk, nodding politely at her, "Good afternoon, Professor." and turning to leave, not wanting to disturb the potions mistress any more than was necessary.

Lafay seemed to always want for somthing to wrong with her Potion, What she ever do but listen in class and follow the instrutions, there was one time in first year but that was an acception since she never did Potion making ever before hand... She didn't know she'd like the subject

She watched her Potion carefully the mixture seemed to have came to a boil no not seemed it had perfect time to add the fluxweed she looked at the mixture it looked okay nothing was bad... So she added the 1 ounce of fresh fluxweed, she then stirred slowly, alternating clockwise and counter-clockwise motions and while doing so she added the cruppie hairs one after another took a while since there were ten

When she was putting the last cruppie hair in, the mixture then turned a pinky colour bubblegum pink she LOVED pink it was such a happy and bubbly colour wasn't it she grinned

She then added the three drops drops of kneazle breath... Ewwww!!! Why were Potion ingrediants so gr-oss... Then she added the 1/2 ounce of passion fruit juice, carefully

She looked inside the Potion again and then to the next instruction ''Cool and strain the Potion...,'' Easy enough! She turned off the burner and let it cool down to a lower temperature, it was on quite low so it wouldn't take long.. Hopfully! She then strained the Potion very carefully! Then right after she did so she bottled and corked the Potion it was a yellow colour she didn't like yellow well she did but not as much as PINK!!!

''Now the worst part cleaning...,'' she muttered, then took out her wand to do so ''Scourgify,'' she smiled all cleaned itself, she closed and picked up her Potion Recipe Book and walked over to Lafay! One step at a time apparently...

''Hello, Proffeser Lafay,'' she handed her the bottled Potion, and almost expected her to kill her she didn't know why but she was expecting fault... Eeep.... She'd say congrats and all but she didn't think the Potions master would.. enjoy that!

"Good afternoon to you too Miss Stewart-Quinn," She said putting the vials into her desk.

"Thank you," she said taking the bottled potion.

Even though Jory mocked her for brewing potions in her free time last year, Gwen decided she would be doing the same now. Taking a deep breath, the Ravenclaw opened the door quickly and entered the potions laboratory. Why.Was.It.So.Full?!?!

*blink blink*

‘Professor Lafay’, Gwen greeted and went straight towards a table, as far as possible from the others. Looking around for the second time, the girl noticed Luna was there too. She seemed busy, so Gwen decided not to bother her.

First thing to do…, she thought as she searched for her wand- clean the cauldron. ‘Scourgify!’, the third year said loud and clear, pointing her wand at the cauldron. Good enough, she thought and grabbed a quill and a piece of parchment from her bag. She decided it was best to write down all the steps. That way maybe she wouldn’t screw anything up. Or at least she thought so.

After making sure she had all the ingredients gathered, Gwen started with the procedure. First of all, she chopped the roots of one daisy and then added them to the cauldron. Then, the girl added peeled Shrivelfig. So far so good, she thought and wrote down the two steps.

Next- the caterpillar… Let’s see… caterpillar…caterpillar, the third year told herself, still searching for it. ‘Here it is!’, she mumbled while opening a small jar. After adding the rat's spleen as well to the mixture, she grabbed her quill and wrote the steps on the piece of parchment. Measuring carefully the 2 spoonfuls of leech juice, Gwen added them to the mixture.

She then grabbed her wand for the second time and pointed it to the cauldron: ‘Incendio!’ Now I’ll just have to wait for it to bubble, Gwendolyn thought. It seems all right- it already is pea-green colored in appearance- that has to be good!

So, what did she do here right now?
Oh yeah, she need to brew the devomotion potion for her photography. She took her potions Journal and read the recipe of Devomotion Potions.

Okay... First, she took her cauldron and cleaned it. "Scourgify." then she filled it with water and heat it.

"Aguamenti."

Then she took 2 cups of elf-made wine vinegar and added it to the cauldron. What's next? She read again her journal. Tsk, she need leaves of dransul plants. She wore her gloves and took the leaves from the cupboard. Then she took a mortar and pestle. Eww.. It's so dirty.

"Scourgify." After the things became clean, she put a leaf to the mortar and crushed it. With a dropper, she took the acid and added 3 drops of it to her cauldron. And then she stirred it 3 times, counter-clockwise.

"One.. Two.. Three.." She murmured. Good. Then she took 3 billywig stingers and added them to her cauldron, until her potion became dark burgundy. Raven took of her gloves then she took her wand from her pocket. She Pointed wand at potion, moved in a spiraling motion upwards.

"Agitatum." The last step. "Glacius." She had finished it. Just let it simmer for a month until it became darker then she would back again to develop some flim.

She put a label to her cauldron

A shivering cold William MacGhilleseathenaich pushed open the heavy door to the Potions Laboratory and entered the drafty room. He was cold and miserable, but needed, or more so wanted, to work on his potions skills. He sat down at a table and placed his potions book and cauldron onto it. He leafed through the pages, looking for a not-terribly-hard potion. The Wit-Sharpening Potion caught his eye. Pushing the book back so he had some work space, he began reading the list of ingredients and the procedure.
"Doesn't seem too difficult," he said to himself. He stood up and headed for the equipment closet. A few moments later, he emerged sporting dragon hide gloves, protective goggles, and a coverobe. In his hands, he held his rather small bunch of ingredients; fluxweed, armadillo bile, scarab beetles, and ginger root. He clambered back to his table and gingerly laid the ingredients onto the table; he didn't want to spill and waste any of the ingredients and consequently face Professor Lafay's wrath. Turning around, he walked to the side of the room and picked up a couple of phials and returned them to the table. Taking a deep breath, he pointed his wand into his cauldron.
"Aguamenti," he muttered. Water shot out of the tip and filled the cauldron halfway. He then pointed his wand at the burner. "Incendio." The burner light, heating the cauldron. While waiting for his cauldron to heat up, he read the first task of the procedure. He picked up the flask of armadillo bile and poured it into the cauldron. It changed shades instantly. He then proceeded to crush the fluxweed and waited for his potion to begin boiling.

No matter how Sam felt before . . But every time he entered potions lab he feel . -confidence .This time only difference was. -actually he wasn't upset of melted down earlier. . .so he was so good.
At first. .he looked at his best friend Beth. . But it seemed she's running bit late. So he stood by a table. . Took out his potions book first. . -turned some pages. . Oh he has found what he wanted to find. . .back again to the bag. . Took out some ingredients he need to make today's potion. . "should I start? Or should I wait for Beth. . . . . May be I should arrange things. . . "
And he did. . .still no sign of her. .
"ok I'll start. . She can join me if she ever showed up"
He said to himself.

Final exams week was stressing Sierra out, and since Quidditch was off-limits at the moment, there was really only one other place she could think to go--the Potions Lab. Well, Quidditch wasn't technically off-limits, but since she'd really rather be quiet and alone at the moment, it wasn't really the activity to go for.

Approaching an empty work area, she tossed her bag onto the table then took a seat. Rummaging through her bag, she found a few things she'd need then began setting up. Lifting her cauldron and placing it onto the burner, she flicked out her wand. "Scourgify!" she said, aiming her wand toward the cauldron. A second later, she added, "Aguamenti!" Once she had enough water in her cauldron, she lit a small fire underneath it then waited a few moments.
