THAT, was a rough first Feast. Oakey felt like he weighed 30 pounds heavier than he did when he made it into the Great Hall. But he made it to the common room with no problem. He laid himself onto one of the tables lying face up starring at the ceiling. He probably wasn't supposed to lye on the table but he didn't see anybody else around just yet, and if one of his prefects tell him to roll of the table he'd ask them to where and how far. Holding his stomach with his hands He felt a churning feeling that slowly inched it's way up to his throat.

BBBUUUUUUUURRRRRPPPP!

He let out a the largest belch he could possibly release.

Alyssa stepped into the Common Room just in time to hear Oakey belch. She stifled a giggle knowing that it would embarrass him. "Hey Oakey. Looks like you still remember how to get to our Common Room. I want to officially congratulate you on winning the bet,"Alyssa grinned knowing that he must be feeling pretty stuffed right now. "Uh! Would you like a bag of potato chips now?" Alyssa tried to hold in her giggle but failed the moment she recalled how fast he started eating once the food was served. "I'm sorry. I know that I shouldn't have dared you. But I just couldn't help myself. Are you sure you're okay though? You do look like you won't be eating for the next few days....heeeeeheeeeheeee,"Alyssa busted up laughing again. "I'm sorry. I'm really not laughing at you. I'm really not. It's just that I haven't laughed in awhile and it just feels so good to laugh again."

'It's either I laugh or I'll start crying again and I'm not going to do that in front of him' Alyssa thought to herself.

Oakey uneasily turned to his side and looked at Alyssa giggling a little. must've heard my burp he thought. I wonder how far it traveled? Noooooo, it's cool, it's cool. He began to smile. He pulled himself up so that he would be sitting at the edge of the table. I think I'm fine, just really really heavy right now. Oakey grinned again when she told him that she hadn't smiled like that in a long while. Don't stop then. he told her. Do you mind if I join in with you, laughing is a great way to get in shape.
he started this fake laughter, that just as quickly turned into an actual cackle.

Nate enters the common room and is astonished by what he is seeing. "Wow it's amazing. It's like I'm in a dream." Nate decides to head up to his room so he can unppack his stuff and find a bed.

After the feast, Jessie followed the older students down to their common room. While she was trying to remember which barrel to tap and for how many times, the door opened and she beheld the Hufflepuff Common Room. Jessie gasped. It was so cozy! Jessie felt at home immediately, and would have jumped on one of the cushions but older students were milling around. Deciding she could flop on a bright yellow cushion later, she opened a door labeled "Girl's Dormitory" and went to find her room.

Justin thought he'd be the first back to the common room... Nope. Alssya had beat him to it. Before speaking he slid into his favourite overstuffed chair .
" Hey, Lyssie. Do you know when trry-outs are? I'd like to try my new broom before that way I hopefully won't make a fool of myself. " he smiled.

Laura walked into the Common Room, she was a bit scared she didn't have Lana with her but there was nothing she could do about that the sorting hat had decided to split them up, saying that she still wasn't sure if the sorting hat was real or if there was something else going on like a teacher hiding somewhere, it has happened before and surely it could happen again, well anyway Laura wasn't going to be sad about it she was going to see if she can make a few friends.

Sophie walked quickly through the entrance door and stopped, astonished. It was all so amazing! So beautiful and cozy! Not looking at anyone, she began walking around the common room a bit slower, in a way she could see each and every detail of everything. "Oh look!" she thought to herself. "Dancing badgers!! I'm sure Carigan's gonna love this!" she laughed softly, remembering her friend's crazy dance in the Great Hall.

She went to the windows and stood there, looking outside. It was night, but it was still all so pretty! Ok, she couldn't see much, but still. "So pretty!" she thought with her eyes twinkling.

Laura had just been stood there thinking when Sophie came into the room, well she might as well see how Sophie was liking it, she walked upto Sophie and smiled. "How are you liking Hogwarts so far?" She looked out of the window for a minute. "I think I'm going to love it here, everything is so great." Laura thought about Lana then, she was hoping Lana was enjoying it as much as she was. "Anyway I can't wait for the first lesson to start, I wonder what we will be taught."

Sophie turned her head to Laura and smiled back. "I'm loving everything so far! I really couldn't love it more!" Hogwarts was as awesome as her parents had told her. They were right. They were always right! "Yeah, I can't wait either! It's gonna be great, I'm sure!" she said happily. "Which subject do you think you'll like the best?" she couldn't remember if she had asked this to Laura yet, so she asked it anyway.

Laura smiled at Sophie, she was glad she had made a friend and they would probably share a dormitory together which would also be fun maybe they could have a play circus in the dormitory or maybe a midnight feast there was plenty of things they could do as long as they didn't get into mischieve she was sure she would be alright at the school. "I think i'm going to like learning about the History of the school and wizard world, so History of Magic, my worst one is going to be Flying see I have this saying if we were meant to fly surely we would have wings." Laura giggled. "What about you?"

Minerva went into the common room and sat down in her favorite chair. she was ready to sit and relax a bit it was so nice to be at her second home.

Justin saw Minnie come into the common room and last term flashed in his memory. " Hey Min. Good to be back here...huh? I've missed this warm and cozy room.... So many wonderful memories made in here. We definately need to start planning our back at Hogwarts party. " He said excitedly.

"Hi Justin. I don't know when tryouts are. I know that Keefer is recruiting right now. Maybe he'll hold tryouts after he's got enough students signed up. Maybe you could check with him." Alyssa suggested to him.



Alyssa saw Laura walk into the common room. She looked a little scared. 'Oh dear, I should have made sure that I had helped escort the first years up here. I should have remembered how scared and alone I felt last term.' Alyssa berated herself. She quickly walked up to Laura.

"Hi Laura. I see that you managed to find the Common Room. I'm sorry that I didn't wait to come up here with you." Alyssa apologized to the younger girl. "Here, why don't you take a seat and get some rest or would like to go up to the Girl's Dorm now? I won't be in the same room as you, but who know's some of your friends may already be up there right now." Alyssa suggested.

Minerva smiled and got up and went over next to him. "Yes it is good to be back." she sat down and got cozy in the chair not her favorite, but it would do. "Justin I wasn't the reason you two ended it was I? I got a letter from Ame on the train.." she didn't know what else to say she was confused on what was going on with the two of them.

" Yeah, I know. I already signed the board. I was thinking maybe you might have known more about it, is all. " Justin sad with a smile. " Say , Alyssa.... Would you like to go and practice tomorrow with Harvey and I. I know he could use a few tips as well ? " Justin asked.

Laura turned away from Sophie in time to see Alyssa coming over to her. "I'm sorry I've been ignore you." Laura sighed, I sort of made a mistake in thinking that it was your fault Aaron left, can you forgive me?" Laura suddenly broke down she was missing home so much and this place was huge and scary, "I want my mummy." Laura cried, she was really lonely. "Y...o....u a...l...l k....n....o....w each other but I only know S....o.....p...h...i...e and my s....i...s...t....e....r L....a...n...a but she's in R...a....v....e....n....c....l...a....w."

"Ummm excuse me. I was wondering when classes start." Nate said nervously. Being a first year he is going to be at least a bit nervous about the classes.

" No, not all. I just needed some time to straighten out my head really. It was pretty intense... The hold he had on me. " Justin said, but he didn't want to start talking about all that and get Minnie upset. " Plus... I ...I wanted to be fair to her... " He trailed off . He didn't really know how to sy what he wanted to with oout her smacking the crap out of him.
Then a first year walked over and asked him about classes. Justin turned and smiled at the boy, " Hi, there... Yeah... Ummm... Classes will be posted on the Hufflepuff board , just there in the foyor. " Justin pointed to where the boy should look. " I'm Justin by the way. What's your name? " Justin said as he outstrenched his hand to shae the boy's hand.

"My name is Nate." He said while shakeing Justins hand. "All of my family was a ravenclaw, but I'm glad I'm a hufflepuff. I like being different."

" Glad to meet ya , Nate. " Justin smiled as the boy shook his hand. " Well, we all believe Puff are the best, but That's just House Pride talkin. My best mate is a Ravenclaw. " he said as he took a sip of the milk he had brought with him from the Great Hall.

Minerva looked around to see how alone the really were then she got up and moved into the same chair he was. "Good thing these chairs are over sized to fit more then one person." she joked as she got cozy with her best guy friend. She felt a little uncomfortable being that close to him in fear someone might get the wrong idea, but what she wanted to talk about needed to be hushed so she shook her head and looked at him a little concerned. "Justin what went on this summer. I remember hearing something about you and Ame being able to hear his thoughts when I was on the sofa that one day. I asked, but no one seemed to hear me why was it that he didn't do that to me. If he can do it why not do it when he was tracking me?"

"Oh, I don't think I'll enjoy History of Magic so much... I'm more into practical things, like charms!! Or even transfiguration, I think. Dunno!" Sophie said, then laughed at Laura's comment abou tflying. "I guess I kind of agree with that, but it should be fun, anyway! I think..." she didn't like playing quidditch that much because they had to fly extremely fast and she wasn't sure she could do such thing. But oh well, she would have time to get used to it. Hopefully.

When Alyssa came over she looked up at her and gave her a small smile. She watched as Laura talked to Alyssa and jumped when the younger girl started crying. "Something really bad must have happened to make her cry like this in the first day of being in Hogwarts!" Sophie thought. "She should be happy and excited, not crying!"
"Oh my gosh, Laura! What's wrong??" she said turning Laura over to her again with her hands on her shoulder. She liked looking people in the eye when talking seriously to them. "What happened? Are you ok?" She didn't understand Laura's words since she was worried and a bit surprised. Sophie didn't like it when anyone was sad, especially a friend of hers.

Oakey finally managed to stop laughing, not only was he too full of food, but now he was tired. Not wanting to get back up he laid himself back onto the table with his legs dangling off of it. He would drag himself to the Boy's dorm, but he didn't want to leave the common room just yet. He wanted to interact, to mingle, and make new friends.
