Lilly sat down at the Gryffie table, grabbing a sandwich and some pumkin juice, her usual meal. It must've been quite early, as she was the only one at the table. Maybe she could see if Minnie or Justin or Amethyst were at the Puff's table. Or Harvey at the Ravvie's. Lilly gobbled her sandwich and juice down quickly, standing up and smoothing down her dress, before heading towards the Hufflepuff table.

Felix walked into the Great Hall, his shirt tails not even close to being tucked in and his tie not tied yet. He sat down at the Gryffindor table and looked around. Suddenly, he realised that he was the only one there. He was not a morning person. Wow, he thought. Either I must have gotten up really early or everyone else is going to get up really late.
Felix shrugged the weird feeling off and grabbed a bagel and began to butter it, hoping someone else would come along so he could chat with them.

Matt went into the great hall, yawning. There were only two people there, including Lilly and an ickle firstie. He sat down next to the first-year, wearily pouring himself a glass of pumpkin juice. Everyone was already over at the other tables. Just not here. Matthew dipped his hand in the pocket of his trousers, pulling out the note he'd got from his mother. It was the reason he got up so early. His father had died. The day before. Right after his parents were divorced. His younger sister didn't really understand- she was only three.

Oh, intoductions. He'd just sat by someone without saying anything. "Morning," Matt smiled. "I'm Matthew Fowell, second-year Gryffindor," he said. He hadn't seen this boy around and he seemed pretty small, so Matt assumed he was a first-year.

Adam walked into the Great Hall an went straight for the Gryffindor table. At the moment there wasn't exactly any other of his friends from different houses that he saw in the hall, so he might have as well sat there.When he did sit down Adam went straight for some of the pancakes an smeared syrup all over the fluffy cake, an then he grabbed a handle of bacon an also enveloped the bacon bits in syrup. He grabbed his fork an napkin an began to chug down the food, not realizing that a few drops of the syrup had already stained his robe. He was only so hungry because walking around the corridors constantly made his feet tired an his stomach to growling uncontrollably.

Heading into the Great Hall and making her way towards the Gryffindor table, Kurumi intended to eat her breakfast as quickly as she could so that she could head off to the library to get some studying in for her OWLs before she took care of other things. Nodding to students who had woken up early as she made her way towards the front of the table, she stopped when she saw someone sitting where she usually sat.
"Well, look who finally decided to show....up," Kurumi said, her eyes landing on the badge on his robes. You have got to be kidding me... When Kurumi had heard Professor Bentley tell her that Adam was prefect with her, she had assumed the other Adam and not the liar who was sitting in front of her.

She suddenly lost her appetite.

Adam was about to stuff a piece of the pancake into his mouth when he heard Kurumi speaking towards him. "Well, hello to you too." He responded kindly as he set down the fork in his hand. "I only just decided to show up because I got sick. Dragon Pox in fact, but don't worry St. Mungo's cured me an I just got a check up at the Hospital Wing. Nothing to worry about-all cleared." In case you were wondering what was happening to me.

He wasn't sure whether to tell her the news himself or just have her eye notice it an then she would comment on the situation. "I'm-I'm-I'm..." To him, this felt harder than saying 'I love you' or 'I do' "I'm-I'm your co-prefect." He expressed a odd scared smile.

Dragon Pox? Kurumi sort of wished that he had been out longer. A more severe case of it. But, here he was now. Practically sitting in her spot and her without an appetite. She was going to have to work WITH him? After everything he had done to her? She didn't even know what sort of things he might have planned - not that she wanted to know either. Her and Jai and had a good working relationship and had been able to accomplish a lot together for the Around the World in a Hogwarts Day last term, she could not imagine being able to do this with Adam. No way.

"Yeah...I noticed," she said, obviously grumbling. "Look, Adam, I am going to be honest here. I am NOT happy about this. But this isn't about me and it isn't about you. It's about our house." And she wasn't going to but personal things in front of what was important for her house. It was her family and you can't pick and choose family no matter how much you may wish you could.

Ryan walked into the Great Hall frowning.He had problems to deal with but he didn't know how to deal with them.He sat don and got some toast and juice and ran his hands through his hair.Ah,Girls,So much trouble.

He could hear in her voice obviously she was not happy at this, as he had suspected but there wouldn't be much to do about it. Unless she talked to the Head of House to give her opinion on the matter. But he could not blame her for feeling that way. He too had been extremely confused about the choice, but he gladly took it.

"I know you're not happy. An I can understand why, even I am confused on the decision, after all I've done, but it won't be the same anymore." This was his time to change, though he had all the chances to change before, but now this had been an extra push. "It is about the house. We have to show we have pride in it an that we are proud to be in the family of Gryffindors."

After all he had done? What he had done had nothing to do with the school or its staff. It had only been in his personal relationships with a few select people. Why would the school care about that? Professor Bentley probably wasn't even aware of how he had made her feel. How he had broken her and Selina and her friends had been left to pick up the pieces.

"It won't be the same anymore?" she repeated, raising her eyebrow once more. "I've heard that before." Like, when he said that he wasn't going to try and push himself and there never-again relationship on her. And now he was preaching to the choir about what they had to do. "I am," she replied sternly. She had been for a long time now, proud to be a lion. Patroclus' words echoed in her head again. See, Patroclus, she wasn't letting you down, not like she had done with Simon at least. "You have a lot to prove, Adam Burn. That is all I am saying."

He couldn't blame her, questioning his words about it 'not being the same anymore'. Something like that coming out of him sounded like a pure lie to her an to anybody else, Selina, that he had hurt. " I can understand why you wouldn't be happy about this." Even if he let the idea of all the personal problems he had, well, although he had never gotten into trouble in terms of school, minus that one detention, Adam hadn't been a scholar. Not like Kurumi turned out to be. His feet had to drag him to get to class. But, ever since he had returned he had, in fact, decided to attend classes more than he had his younger years. "A lot"

Kurumi leaned over and grabbed a banana to eat for breakfast, deciding that she wasn't going to stay long. Bananas had natural sugars that were combined with fiber to give an instant, sustained, and substantial boost of energy, just the thing she needed to help her plow through some textbooks and old magical studies articles to help her prepare for her Transfiguration OWL. Kurumi then grabbed a blueberry muffin from the table as well and eyed Adam.

"Well, I guess I'll get going," she said as she eyed the exit. She didn't have anything else to say on the matter, unless he did.

Tayla sat down at the Gryffindor table and helped herself right away to a chocolate pastry. She waited for Ari to settle herself. She had a feeling there was something troubling her friend.

Daisy led the way into the Great Hall, heading instinctively towards the Gryffindor table. She skirted around two Hufflpuffs, certain Freeman wouldn’t have a problem navigating the busy space considering he was so small. Finding an open spot, she pulled her bag off over her head, knocking some hair loose from her pony tail and then put it down on the ground next to her feet before sliding into the spot at the table.

There were plenty of tea cakes and cucumber sandwiches left and a large pot of tea nearby. I hope it’s Earl Gray she thought as she reached forward around a burly 7th year boy and slid the pot over. “Do you like sugar, cream, or honey with your tea Freeman?”

Absorbed in her own thoughts, Ari was slow at keeping pace with her housemate, so by the time she eventually sat at the Gryffindor table, Tayla had already started on something sweet. Chocolate's a good idea actually, Ariadne thought, taking one of those pastries for herself. Tayla was waiting for her to speak, right?

'I...' she tried, but couldn't go on until she made sure no one was eavesdropping. 'I don't know where to start.' the third year said hopelessly. 'It's about my family. My mum is dating someone, which is good, because she hadn't had a boyfriend (Ari still cringed inwardly at the word) since dad left, and he's really nice. The thing is, they've decided to get married next summer, and I don't know where I fit in. I've always lived only with my mum, the two of us were like a team, and I have a feeling this is going to change now.' Ariadne explained. And that was not all. She took another bite before figuring how to continue.

Tayla chewed more slowly as she listened to Ari. She wasn't expecting this and didn't know exactly what to say.

"I..." she began, rather unsurely. "But your mum loves you, Ari. Things might change a bit but...I'm sure the love your mum has for you will never change."

Tayla took another bite. "Don't you like the guy she's marrying? Does he have...I mean...will you have, like...step-siblings?" She waited for Ari to speak and hoped the chocolate was helping cheer her up, even just a little bit.

Freeman had never sat at the Griffindor table before. He didn't know why but he felt a little nervous-- as if all the Lions would turn towards him, realize he was an outsider, and eject him across the room.

"Honey, please," he replied politely, eyeing the seventh-year boy next to Daisy. The guy was probably a Beater. Freeman had never tried out for Quidditch, mainly because the only part he would ever play well would be AS the quaffle. He dangled his feet, which barely brushed the floor, and reached for a sandwich triangle.

Freeman thought perhaps he should introduce a conversation topic. "What year are you, Daisy?" His new acquaintance looked older, but she didn't seem to mind hanging out with a second-year. As long as she didn't insist on blowing on his tea for him.

She poured him a cup and passed the saucer and teacup over before poring herself one. She reached past the burly guy next to her for the honey and slid that over to him. The cream was in the other direction and so she reached out for that and poured a nice helping into her tea before picking it up and taking a sip. Mmmm….this was exactly what she needed after the long day in the library with Damien. She didn’t know what she was going to do with him, but at least he was finally opening up to her.

“Mmm?” Freeman had asked her a question. “Year? Oh, sorry, I’m a sixth year. “ She didn’t return the question figuring that after their last conversation at the hour glasses, he would probably throw the hot tea in her face for asking. “Are you enjoying your classes? It wasn’t until close to the end of my second year that my aptitudes started showing themselves. “ Primarily researching and book-worming it, as her older brother Isador called it.

Rose bounced down the table, having just gotten an owl from Ronnie saying that she was coming back to Hogwarts for their fourth year. THIS WAS GONNA BE AWESOME! She sat down and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, grinning as she put some eggs on her plate and began to eat. She was just so happy, her best friend was coming back, the one person she trusted fully, who knew everything about her, was coming back. Well, maybe not everything, but still. She knew the most.
She grinned and crossed her legs, making herself look more approachable. She really needed to not scare people, she hoped she wasn't. Because she wasn't scary when people got to know her, it was just what she looked like, she used to have a scowl on her face the entire time. Now she was smiling a lot!

Hunter shrugged again at Aria's shock, it even made him want to laugh a little. What did she expect him to say? He said he'd do anything for her and he meant it. He knew that he would always feel bad about making her get so close to death and if he could gain her forgiveness the happier the world would be.

As they entered the Great Hall, he couldn't help but tense up when she mentioned that Mikey might be around. "Don't get me wrong, I like Mikey and all but....can you get him to stop calling me 'Killer Boy?' It's killing me!" Probably not the best word choice but he hoped it got the point across. Mikey was never going to let him forget the incident, unless Aria could make him. Both of them moved along to the Gryffindor table, and he wasn't sure how she was doing but he had to keep himself from running over and stuffing every last bit of food in his mouth. He didn't even know it was possible to be this hungry! Once they were seated, Hunter grabbed a chicken leg and turned to face her. "So, what exactly do I need to know to survive the Leahy house?" If Aria was crazy, he could only imagine the poor girl's family. He didn't exactly care for the exact details as to why she needed him to be there, he just wanted to make sure he did it right.

Logan walked into the Great Hall and made his way to the Gryffindor table. He looked for someone to sit with, and saw Rose. He smiled and sat next to her. "Heyy, Rose!" he said as he began to put food on his plate. "You seem cheerful." he said, grinning. He truly was not cheerful himself. He had been terrible lately. But he was sure good at hiding it.

Rose grinned as she saw Logan and hugged him with one arm. 'I am cheerful! Ronnie's coming back for our fourth year!' she gabbled, before taking a mouthful of egg. Needed to keep her protein up... 'How're you?' she asked, smiling at him. Logan had become quite a close friend, despite the two years age difference that was between them. She enjoyed talking to him, she was the only boy she'd spoken to in the school year, basically... That was a scary thought... She really needed to get out more...

Logan smiled. "Yeah I heard about that...that's great!" he said. Then he frowned a little. "I'm...er...alright." he said shrugging and taking a sip of his pumpkin juice.

Rose cocked her head to the side, blinking at him. 'You don't seem alright. Go on, you can tell me, I'll help you however I can!' she said, grinning. She would, she was good at helping people, especially as she wasn't that upset anymore, she could help him! And he was a friend, so it was her duty to help him! If he let her, which he had better, as she would just pursue the matter until he did.
