Misc. School Notes: Spent as much time in the dungeons as he did in the classroom, so it's a bit surprising to many that he actually graduated Hogwarts and managed to complete two university degrees all while playing Quidditch. If you look carefully in the corner of his office, you will find his favorite chair . . . the chair he spent many hours sitting in (which he took from the dungeons during his first term teaching).
Personality: Max loves to have fun as much as he loves his wife and children, and Quidditch. He is a good-natured man, but he can't abide students/individuals who snap their fingers or are outright rude to him.
Personal History:
Max is the youngest child in the Vindictus family, and has a twin brother, Marcus Kostandin Vindictus, (who is 1 minute older than him), and an older brother, Rex Altair Vindictus. His father, Reginald Kostandin Vindictus (Reg is the only son of Swedish singing sensation [and one-hit wonder] Kajsa Regina Henriksson), a Durmstrang alumnus, was the head coach of the Vratsa Vultures for 45 years. Max’s mother, Maureen Fiona Vindictus, a Hogwarts alumnus, is a homemaker and a garden-design specialist. Brother Rex is the current Head of Magical Games and Sports in the Ministry of Magic, and twin brother Marcus is a Healer at St. Mungo's in the Artefact Accidents ward.
When Max and Marcus were two years old, their older brother Rex decided to show the twins how to fly on their toy broomsticks and it was revealed that little Marcus was not gifted in the flying department (this incident explains why he currently lobbies for safer flying methods, including the use of a patented flying harness for broomsticks). However, little Max was a natural at flying and proceeded to break all vases in the house to his mother’s chagrin and his father’s delight. Childhood summers were spent with the entire Vindictus family visiting their Irish cousins (Maureen’s sister married a Shackleton) and traveling to watch Reginald train his Vratsa Vultures.
At the age eleven, like hundreds of wizarding children before him, Max received his letter and arrived at Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat had an easy time placing him in Ravenclaw and the adventure began. During his first year, he became friends with Fabian Clark and Doyle Branxton. It was also during his first month at Hogwarts that he earned his very first detention with Valon Kazimeriz (he broke the man’s favorite teapot). It was the first of many detentions with Kazimeriz who seemed to appear wherever Max happened. His third year at Hogwarts saw Max make the starting Quidditch team, captained by his brother Rex, as a Beater. It was also during his third year that the infamous Vindictus broom-smashing incident in the Ravenclaw Common Room took place when the brothers got into a heated argument - look carefully, and you might find a large sliver of mahogany jutting out of a section of the stone wall to the right of the fireplace. He had to learn quickly how to balance homework, detention and practice, and became quite good at it. Whatever the strategy was, it seemed to work because Max earned 9 OWLs and 5 NEWTs before graduating from Hogwarts.
Hours after graduation, Max tried out and made the reserve squad of the Heidelberg Harriers to the delight of his father. To appease his disapproving mother who told him to use his brain and get a degree, he enrolled in the local university and worked as a model for a German sportswear company so that he could pay the bills. Two years passed before Max finally made the starting squad as a Beater. From then on, the sky was the limit for Max who was considered one of the fiercest Beaters the sport had ever known.
After twenty-two years of playing Quidditch and five Quidditch World Cup appearances for England, Max decided to hang up his bat and broom, and try something else less physical instead – he bought Quality Quidditch Supplies and decided to run the store on his own. He had only been in Diagon Alley for two years when one day, a nervous-looking Cassandra Rae-Branxton approached him and offered him the position of Flying Instructor and Quidditch Official at Hogwarts. At first, he thought that Doyle had put his wife up to playing a joke on him, but after a few uneasy moments of silence he realized she was serious and he accepted the job.
Max's goal when accepting the Flying and Quidditch position at Hogwarts was to improve the flying skills of the students, reinforce safety when flying, teach them proper broomcare techniques, and to re-live flying history. Creative lessons have been the norm for him - from Creaothceann lessons with falling marshmallows and trying to fly on carpets to Quodpot and bashing pinatas. Even the final exams left some students with a healthy dose of respect for flying. Quidditch, however, has been his biggest challenge because the teams are always in a constant state of change. Max set forth the rules and enforced them. It's not uncommon for him to be seen watching team tryouts and practices, or pulling student-athletes to one side and making sure they were staying out of trouble and keeping their grades up. Same thing goes for the Ravenclaw students - Max is always keeping an eye out on his Ravenclaws, especially since becoming Head of House.

During her time at Hogwarts:
Seren was a reasonably birght and bubbly student, and though she excelled in most subjects, she was often known for being a socialite. Gracing the library with cheerful laughter- often resulting in a scalding and a detention or two. And though Seren was in no way a trouble maker, she often found herself on the recieving end of punishment. Between starting or being involved in ferocious foodfights, and wandering the halls after curfew... or tracking mud and dung through the castle, not to mention attempting to enter the forbidden forest whilst skipping Ancient Runes... no, she didn't have a clean record, but in many ways she was a model student.
Needless to say her grades did not suffer, even if her mothers nerves did. Seren took pride in her studies and in her sports, excelling in quidditch since her second year, she played as a chaser until she graduated- after which she stopped, under her mothers' influence.

Occupation Careers: After graduating from Hogwarts, Seren began work as a Garden Designer. However, after a year of this she realised that she wasn’t satisfied and so began her studies in the field of Herbology- a passion of hers. Travelling to the four corners of the world Seren studied a variety of magical plants, trees and herbs. She began her journey in the Amazon Rainforest, though she also explored the untamed wilderness of the Swiss Alps, the Australian Outback and Daintree Rainforest, and Snowdonia National Park. She was particularly fascinated by plants of the Flesh-Eating variety, though she was also partial to plants with fangs. Seren Bentley, pureblood, was born to Addiena Monique Bentley- single mother and was raised in Cardiff, Wales. Though Seren grew up in a loving and caring environment with her mother and her grandparents, she always had an untameable curiosity to discover who her biological father was. Much to her dismay, her mother refused to disclose the information- for reasons unknown. This mystery had haunted Seren throughout her childhood and adolescence and still haunts her today. This is the reason why her boggart is a disembodied male voice, she fears being rejected by a man who wasn’t around for her. Despite this, Seren grew up to be an independent, cheerful young woman. Driven by her passions and motivated to make a difference in the world through the education of witches and wizards of the next generation. She plans to encourage children to explore their world, to understand it and to never stop learning, but most importantly to never stop asking questions. Because without questions, there wouldn’t be answers; questions are the most important weapons in an academic’s arsenal.
Friendship is something that comes naturally to Seren, she has the uncanny knack of making friends with almost everyone she meets. Love on the other hand is something that does not come easily to her. Since she was young Seren had never been able to trust a man so much as to get close enough to him to form a serious romantic relationship. She fears heartbreak, this also stems from her issues concerning her absent father.

Eino was born in Lancaster, England to Arthur Conan Byron and Elisabet Heleena (Elizabeth Helena) Byron, both pureblood. Elizabeth was originally from Finland but because of Arthur’s job, she agreed to live in England.
His father, Arthur, was an unregistered animagus (chuckwalla) and took advantage of it by committing crimes, such as theft and murder, unknown to anyone. When his mother, Elizabeth, discovered he was unregistered, she urged him to register himself to avoid any problems and complications with the Ministry of Magic, but she didn’t know what he was up to. He promised her he would but never did. Finally, when she found out his crimes she was horrified and threatened to turn him in. She sent five year old Phillip to stay with her parents in Finland so he would not become involved. To protect himself, Arthur made her forget his animagus ability by erasing her memory, and afraid Phillip knew about it, he brought him back from Finland and did the same to him. Every time they re-discovered he would recast the spell.
After three years, the Ministry finally found out, arrested Arthur and sent him to Azkaban, Elizabeth’s memory was restored but she chose to keep Eino’s erased. Concerned, The Ministry advised that Elizabeth and Phillip change identities and move away so that the families who had been harmed by Arthur wouldn’t seek revenge on them (namely an individual who had sworn to kill both of them). In fear, Elizabeth changed her name to Elenoora and Phillip’s to Eino. She moved to Finland, and within a few months got remarried Marcus Uronen.

When it was time for Eino to go to school, the wizarding school in Finland did not invite him because he couldn’t speak Finnish fluently, so she decided to move back to England, with Marcus, and send Eino to where he was supposed to go, Hogwarts. Both Elenoora and Marcus are very strict in regards to Eino’s studies, and expect nothing but excellence from him, or at least that’s what they want him to think. Because of his memory problem, Eino hasn’t been a very bright child, so his parents want him to work his hardest just so he can measure up to average.
Thinking the ability to be hereditary, Elenoora is very afraid that Eino will turn out to be an animagus like his father and keep it as a secret from her. She gets especially worried when she sees him talking to animals, even dead ones, and other inanimate objects, but she worries too much, he is just an odd kid. In Finland, Eino used to leave home and wander off to forests, where he would often get lost for days, leaving poor Elenoora to die. Eino loves animals very much, even though he has killed many by accident, and has been nearly been killed in return at various occasions. He has been attacked by bears, wolves, dogs, snakes, etc. He has also gotten in trouble many times for accidentally freeing house-elves; Aware of his “condition,” house-elves would trick Eino into freeing them, which Marcus was not happy about.
Eino is an excellent fencer and has won numerous fencing tournaments; he has even traveled to other countries to compete, such as France, Germany, Colombia, and the United States. He has a collection of rapiers, but his favorite is Valentine. Eino also plays the piano, harp, and organ.
Eino sometimes stays with his grandparents, especially during summers. They both live in a small cottage away from the city and own an herb store on the outskirts of town, where they sell special “tea” (magical herbs) to Muggles to help them with small problems, such as relaxation and minor pains. They both speak Finnish only, which limits Eino’s communication with them, so he spends most of the time by himself.
Eino is terribly afraid of Muggle vehicles, such as cars, trains, and airplanes. He rarely even ventures into Muggle populated areas because of them. He also dislikes Politics and ambiguity! He has a really hard problem keeping his mouth shut in regards to magic and will start random conversations with strange Muggles about current events in the wizard world.
Elenoora never told Eino about his biological father and his real identity, and has led him to believe Marcus is his real father, until last summer. Eino now knows his true identity as well as his father's, but hasn't been affected by it. He worries that he will become the person his mother has prevented him from becoming, and wants to be the same Eino he has always been. He has met some of the Byrons but isn't interested in them at all. All he wants is to continue living his life as though he had never known about his past.

Stella is the quintessential popular girl, so to speak. Somehow, she’s avoided going down the path of being a mean girl, though. Instead, she earned her popularity by talking to just about everyone, and making friends with whoever seems willing. Not to mention, she just wouldn’t be able to be a mean girl anyhow, as it’s physically impossible for her to look down on people. That’s not to say she’s pathologically nice. She has a bit of a rebel streak, a side to her that can be a bit sarcastic and is unafraid to bite back if anyone attacks her. She does have the ability of coming up with responses for any situation, and sometimes even will revert to speaking in French if she’s particularly irritated, playful, or angry. She also is rather artistic, although she’s always channeled that into acting as opposed to anything else. (She occasionally sings as well.) Not to mention, she is quite a fan of Shakespeare, and can quote almost every one of his plays if she feels like it.
Like most other girls, boys can distract Stella, and she’s not afraid to approach them. Talking to them proves to be no problem to her, but sometimes the physical can make her step back a little. She’s not the type to give herself if it’s not serious, so she tends to look for boyfriend material. As opposed to simply friends who are boys and fun to play with. She does have male friends, though. Things just stay very platonic with them. Enemies are few and far between when it comes to her, simply because she’ll just continue to be nice until they cave unless they are particularly mean. In those situations, she’ll ignore them. History:
Stella has never thought of herself as French. That’s the easiest way to explain her, and in the strictest sense, she isn’t. She was born in England, the second daughter of a Muggleborn Wizard and a pureblood witch who is a descendant of Perpetua Fancourt. She spent the first four years of her life in Wiltshire, running around the family home with her older sister while her mother painted and her father was looking for a job, but after her fourth birthday, that idyllic childhood ceased. Desmond found a job working for the Department of International Cooperation at the French Ministry, and he uprooted the entire family and moved them to France, meaning that little Stella had to leave any of her friends she’d made at home. That was hard on her, even though she still had Talia. The move was easier on an eight-year-old Talia, as she’d known she only had a few years before she’d go to school and she’d been determined to still go to Hogwarts, where both their parents had attended. Therefore, she only had to wait until then to see her old friends. Stella had longer to wait, and it took a year or two before she’d even settled into the new family home just outside Paris proper.
Coinciding with Talia’s acceptance into Hogwarts, Stella met a new neighbor’s daughter, also seven years old at the time. Clarise was just as outgoing as a young Stella, and just as magical, and they bonded almost instantly, with Stella settling on calling her new friend by the nickname she’d created. Risa, while Stella was friendly and outgoing, was the slightest bit more adventurous and boy-crazy, and they ended up getting into all sorts of scrapes before both ended up enrolled at Beauxbatons. That disappointed Stella the slightest bit, as she’d always had a secret desire to follow Talia to Hogwarts and back to England, but at least she still had Risa with her. And she made the best out of going to Beauxbatons, earning high grades and even ending up in a relationship of sorts with another English expatriate at the school, Ethan Wood. He was a bit of a Quidditch savant, and just as popular as the duo of Stella and Risa. However, while the two girls never let that get to their heads, it influenced Ethan more until it reached a breaking point the middle of their fourth years at Beauxbatons. Stella severed her ties with him, supported by Risa, but it also brought back her desires to leave France and go to Hogwarts.
Even though she also didn’t want to leave Risa behind, she asked her father if he could do anything, and that was helped along by the fact that Talia had stayed in London after her own Hogwarts graduation, enrolling in Wizarding university there to try and study law (with the goal of becoming some sort of Wizarding private investigator). Desmond contacted some people and got her a transfer, as long as she stayed with Talia when she wasn’t at school. Stella was ecstatic, especially as she’d gotten to take a brief trip to London the summer before her last term at Beauxbatons, so she had a tiny idea what she could expect. Risa took the news okay, although it seemed that made her double her attempts to have fun with Stella while she could. Either way, the parting of the two friends was sad, but Stella had promised to write as much as she could and the same promise was made to her. She’d keep in touch with her parents, Carter (who had been born several years into their residence in France), and Risa, and Stella set off for her new adventure. Going to Hogwarts, where she’d always wanted to go.

Ivory Vitya Erised was born to Mary Vitya and Joseph Asclepius. Mr.Asclepius, a Healer a St. Mungo's, being of muggle upbringing ( Or so he thought) was still quite partial to the muggle life and had decided together with his wife to raise their children among them.
Their first and only daughter, for only sons followed, was a perfectly normal little baby albeit a very small one. It wasn't until shortly after her 4th birthday that her mother noticed that her daughter's eye color seemed to change depending on her mood and although she was seen constantly biting her nails every time Mariana asked to see her hands, her nails appeared long and even. Worried that she was victim of some passing curse or jinx, she was taken to St Mungo's Hospital where she was finally identified as a metamorphmagus. It was a fact that mystified many a healer and her family alike. Her father had been thought to be of muggle descent while the Vitya line was one who could trace their magical roots centuries back and had no known history of any metamorphmagi in the family. It was considered a geneological oddity for Ivory to have been born one. Stumped for the moment, the Ascelpius family raised Ivory as they thought best. And because she would be attending a muggle elementary school, she was warned against changing her appearance and grew up with the phrase "Real beauty is on the inside" stamped into her subconscious. So with no one to teach her and no real idea of what her abilities meant or could progress to, her abilities were sadly lacking by the age of eleven and she was consequently labeled as being "underdeveloped."
II. Growing up....
Ivory grew up knowing she didn't quite fit in with the other muggle kids and the only time she felt completely at ease was during the holidays when the family spent them with her mum's blatantly magical relatives.
She was small even by an eleven year old's standards coming in at about 4'3" with average brown hair that falls in straight waves to her shoulders with large thickly lashed dark brown eyes which her mother says are best features saying everyone can read her emotions like an open book. Her mother’s side of the family is very curvaceous but unfortunately in her opinion there are only hints of that as of yet.
And so Ivory sought refuge in music and reading...everything from her mother's old transfiguration and charms textbooks to the newest muggle fiction and she was rarely seen without a book in hand and a MEBAD (Musical Earpiece Bewitched for Auditory Duplication) in ear, which she sometimes plays her violin along to.
Of course, growing up with 3 younger brothers did not make it any easier on her, and she consequently has a few hobbies that aren’t quite as mundane. Playing a rough game of quidditch in the enchanted-to-look-normal backyard, is a favorite pastime when she actually feels like putting up with Artemis and the twins.
Due to her mother’s steady stream of community involvement, she has been an unpaid babysitter for more times than she’s ready to admit and has thus developed a very protective, nurturing side for those she cares about. Shy at first glance, it wasn’t until one really talked to her that it was noticed that she had a quick wit and excellent sense of humor although it wasn't too hard to see she was indefinitely very self conscious.
III. Finding out the Family History…
It was right around the time that Ivory received her Hogwarts Letter that another was received. A letter requiring the family to attend the reading of the last will and testament of a certain Tomas Dantes Erised. The reading was one that detailed the truth about Joseph’s birth.
It was many years ago, when Tomas, a young man then, had toured Europe in search of a good time. He’d already known he’d inherit his father’s legacy one day but for now he was content to live his life one day at a time. That is until the day he visited the children’s ward of St. Mungo’s and stumbled across a certain female healer, engaged in trying to make the injured children laugh by changing the color of her hair. Fascinated by her genuine smile and character, Thomas knew right then that she would one day be his wife.
Gloria Turquoi came from a mainly matriarchal family , metamorphmagi blood running strong in her veins just like it had in her mother, and her mother before her. Beautiful, alluring, and intelligent, she was everything Tomas ever wanted.
And so they were wed. Never had two people ever been so much in love. Eventually, thoughts of starting a family together took hold and deciding it was time to put some roots down the couple began to make a home for themselves away from their overbearing families. But alas it was all too good to be true. For years, they tried and tried to have children, always trying to be optimistic but knowing their time was almost running out as their biological clocks were ticking. And yet one day the impossible happened. Joyously pregnant, they planned for the new baby boy, taking every precaution knowing full well that at Gloria’s age it would be a high risk pregnancy.
That should've been their happy ending. It should've been where they walked off into the sunset hand in hand to live happily ever after all together as a happy little family, but life oft times has other plans. As a new life was born another was taken , the complications during the birth too strenuous. Gloria Turquoi Erised was gone not moments after first holding her son. Devastated at the loss of his one true love, Tomas couldn’t bear the thought of raising their son without her. In that one quick moment of despair he did something he’d come to regret for the rest of his life: He gave up his only son for adoption.
The will went on to express Tomas’s sorrow and embarrassment at his cowardice especially in his attempt to keep the whole ordeal hidden from the rest of the Erised and Turquoi family; However, it also confessed to the fact that he kept tabs on Joseph throughout his life. A man of considerable power, he’d indirectly influenced quite a few aspects of his son's life and now named him his only legal heir. Leaving to him all his holdings, properties, and amassed fortune.
While Ivory’s father had no other siblings there were many an Erised family member that saw it in their best interest to contend the will seeing as almost none of them knew of Jospeh’s existence with the exception of his mother’s favorite sister, Emmaline whom no one seemed to be able to locate. Out of the woodwork appeared cousins, aunts, uncles and distant relatives all clamoring for their part of the inheritance.
IV. The bright side…
The legal proceedings that followed were long and tedious, legally resulting in the name change from Asclepius to Erised. Ivory now Ivory Erised had not only inherited a new family but a new heritage as well, the answer of where her abilities had come from finally answered. Not only that, but Tomas whom had become aware of little Ivory’s condition had willed her her grandmother’s wand. An aged wand with intricate carvings, it stood proud at 11.3 inches of Bois de rose wood with a core of Gubraithian fire. An ancient coveted Torquoi family heir loom that was passed down through generations and was said to only respond to the touch of a Turquoi descendent with metamorphmagi blood in her veins. Since the first moment Ivory held that wand, there was never a doubt in her mind that it belonged to her. A fact only emphasized by the small flare of blue flame that blossomed at the tip every time the smooth wood came into contact with her hand.
V. Time at Hogwarts
❶It was during her first year at Hogwarts that Ivory met her best friend and partner in crime for life, Arya Lovegoods. The year was passed voraciously reading everything she could get her hands on and trying her best in every class she could, finding a soft spot for a certain grandfatherly Professor Kazimeriz and finding a mother away from home in Professor Morgan-Lawson. Being awfully selfconconcious as she was, she usually hesitated before doing spells in front of people for fear of causing a fire however eventually she grew more confident in her magical abilities and grew to love her wand as an extension of herself. Many memories were made that year, although not all of them good.
❶That year was also the year that Ivory was victim of the Imperius unforgivable curse and forced to duel for the entertainment of sick minded individuals along with being forced to fight against her fellow classmates and professors. Although she'd like to think that she's moved past it all, she still wakes up every once in a while from horrid nightmares that involve her being a puppet and forced to hurt the people she cares most about. Keeping all of that in a tightly closed box in the dark recesses of her mind however the only obvious result of the whole thing was that she developed a strong adversion to butterbeer.
❷After many a debate among her family, it was finally decided that Ivory would in fact be returning to Hogwarts. Between having fun with her best friend, making new friends and still being the book worm she's always been, Ivory has grown to think of Hogwarts as a second home.
❸It was in the summer of her third year, that her Great Aunt Emma came into the picture with no explanation as to where she’d disappeared for all those years. The woman was old and eccentric but didn’t appear to want any part in the legal proceedings. However, she had been hemming and hawing for Ivory to spend some time with her after discovering the young girl was also a metamorphmagi. Her father, rightfully suspicious of the old woman and the fact that she'd let him believe his whole life that he had no living relatives even though she’d known of his existence, had had his misgivings but her mother had conceded, sure Great Aunt Emma had just gotten lonely in her old age since her own grandchildren rarely visited.
❸And so it had come to pass that Ivory and her three brothers spent a large chunk of that summer listening halfheartedly to an old woman's rambling and on Ivory's part many, maaaaany reprimands and deprecating comments. Oh, you would have had so much potential....its a pity.... That's all you can do??Why at your age I could... and who could forget the ever offensive 'And your not adopted, your sure of it?' Aunt Emma was convinced that something was horribly wrong with Ivory and her underdeveloped talent. It did not help matters, that Tiffany, the only one of Emma’s grandchildren to have inherited Metamorphmagi abilities decided quite conveniently out of the blue to visit. Having of course been instructed in the mystery of her abilities since birth, Tiffany was eveything Ivory wasn’t. She could control her emotions to not change involuntarily and could change everything and anything at will from body mass to skin tone without so much as breaking a sweat. To say Ivory’s feeling of self worth decreased would be an understatement.
❹Unbeknowst to Ivory, Tiffany was in fact sizing her up. For all intents and purposes, gathering intel. She’d gotten the idea that she was the rightful heir to Turquoi heirloom wand. So during Ivory’s fourth year, while she was preoccupied with new Prefect responsibilities and her studies, Tiffany decided to take legal action against Ivory’s ownership of the wand.
❹The summer of her fourth year had her traveling from courtroom to courtroom as the legal proceeding progressed. With Tiffany and her family even going as far as to call in medical experts to ascertain that Ivory’s abilities were so underdeveloped that a Metamorphmagis wand would be of no use to her. Forced to show the extend of her lack of abilities in court, Ivory was put through a series of magical and medical tests to discover whether the problem was an inborn one.
❺It wasn’t until she was evaluated by a psychiatrist in Switzerland whom after finally convincing Ivory to divulge the happenings of her first year determined that she was not underdeveloped so much that her fear of not being in control was inhibiting her from fully developing her potential. The case dismissed until further notice, Ivory went home exhausted, drained, and feeling used. Her fifth year passed in a whirl of studying for owls and reading up on any helpful techniques for improving her underdeveloped abilities.
6. Exhausted from her OWLs but satisfied with her results, Ivory spent the beginning of her summer volunteering at St. Mungo's, hoping to finally start making some form of decision involving what her future career path would be. However, a large part of her time was spent worrying over the hearing that would take place in August. The hearing itself was again an overbearing horrid affair but luckily the judge ruled in her favor at least for the time being. His ruling being that the court would reconvene in 2 years when both participants were of legal age. The lucky part being that Ivory would be able to keep her wand for the duration of the rest of her studies.
As for the beginning of her sixth year, well it's happening...right. Now.

What’s there to say about me? A lot, I suppose. Everyone has a story to tell. Mine is just more, um, boring? It all started back when the stork delivered me to my parents back in the day and, boy, were they happy campers. My dad filmed the whole thing on his old video camera although to this day, even I’m afraid to watch the footage. I don’t even have the nerve to go search through all of our old crates and home videos in the shed out behind our house; there are spiders and other creepy crawlers there! But I digress.
When I was four, my dad’s job shipped him off to New York. Moving to another country wasn’t a huge issue for me. I only cared whether or not my mom was going to let me play with her old Comet 360, which she rarely did, and if my dad was going to pick me up some candy on his way home from work. My mom was and has been a housewife for as long as I can remember; she was a Hufflepuff when she went to school and never had the most excellent grades. Even though she’s not as witty as dear old dad, I think they’re pretty even on the scale of usefulness. My mom’s magical prowess and my dad’s degree from a muggle university and skills with everything muggle-esque pretty much even them out in my eyes. While my dad went off to work, my mom homeschooled me and did most of the household chores. I was never privy to making anyone’s acquaintance, so my mom was my best friend throughout my years in America.
I moved back to England this summer, my dad’s job relocating my family again. I took it a bit harder this time that I did about ten years ago. Even though I really didn’t have any friends back in New York, I was used to my Americanisms and barely even recalled living across the pond at all. The move was made a bit better because my parents got me my first pet, a cat. They know I’m fond of their cute little noses and whiskers. I’m excited to be able to bring her to Hogwarts. I think she’ll like living with me in Ravenclaw, whatever that’s supposed to mean. I hope no ravens will be around; I don’t need my kitty trying to eat the mascot of a house that I barely got inducted into.
I’ve got a lot to learn and even though I’m technically home again, I feel like the biggest foreigner. Thanks to my mom, I mean, mum, I’m learning to adjust to differences in the language, the weather, and everything that’s different in both the muggle and wizarding worlds. My dad is helping me along with the muggle side of the spectrum, him being a full-blown muggle, and my mum is helping my along with the wizarding part, her being a halfblood, telling me all about Diagon Alley and Hogwarts and everything else there is to know. I’ll admit that I’m nervous about a lot of things, but I can’t help but be somewhat excited about this new, crazy adventure. Let’s hope that I’ll survive the train ride to Hogwarts and adjust to living in a medieval castle sooner than later.[/SIZE][/s]

That crossed out spiel above was me at this time last year. Things have definitely changed since then. Some facts about me still remain the same: I'm an England-born boy who moved to America and was homeschooled for years before returning to his homeland because of his muggle father's crazy job. I'm still a halfblood. I still have curly hair. I still have that tabby cat who I eventually named Bree, although she should have been named Brat. I still retain my American accent. Alas, I think the similarities between the then and now stop here. Never before did I think I'd change so quickly, be able to play quidditch and actually enjoy it (to a certain extent, because practice is murder), ace my OWLs, become a prefect, make so many friends, and assimilate so easily.
Am I still an unnervingly anxious who gets the willies every time someone surprises me? Yes. Do I still fiddle with my hands when I'm nervous or have nothing better to do? Yes. Do I still self-deprecate my dorky self on a near-daily basis? Not always. I owe a great debt to Hogwarts and the people I've had the good fortune to meet here. If not for their motivation (and by that I mean badgering and occasional bullying because I didn't know what was best for myself), my first year at an actual institution for magical learning was better than I had wished for. The accrual of some confidence, knowledge, friends, a girlfriend, and stability in general has truly helped set me on the right path. I shudder to think what would have happened had my family never moved from NYC to England.
As for what this year holds, no one can be sure. For me, it's needless to say that whatever may happen, my final year of schooling should be filled with humor, adventure, stress, more responsibility, late-night kitchen runs, and fooling around with my cake cannon. I hope the house elves behind the portrait of fruit can help me with the ammo.

Pre-Hogwarts Hugo was born at home in London. He lived there untill he was about 5, when he moved to Edinburgh to attend Muggle School there because his father thought it was important he had muggle knowledge before he headed off to Hogwarts. He had a horrible time in Muggle School. He was bullied and the subjects were boring and too easy. He was jealous of his brother, who was in Ravenclaw and his sister who was about to go off to Hogwarts. When he was 7, he tried to get on the Hogwarts Express but failed. After that he realized that it was no use to long for Hogwarts and decided to put his frustration in studying and reading. He was in his room all day reading books about the magical world and learning new languages. On his eleventh birthday, he finally received his letter.
First Year Although meeting his first two friends even before stepping foot on the Hogwarts Express, Hugo felt lonely and isolated from the rest. He didn't feel like he had a lot of friends. Hugo wasn't very good at earning much points for his house, and was socially very awkward. That changed when he met Feenella Schwarzberg at his first flying lesson. He instantly had a crush on her. He started meeting some more friends and suddenly found himself in an awkward situation where two girls liked him, and the girl he liked started dating a bloke named Edmond. Their relationship had turned a bit awkward, and it took Hugo a while to feel comfortable again. Near the end of the year, he met his now best friends Kurumi through the wonders of a cookie and Eino in the common room, practising a spell they had learned in Care of Magical Creatures.
Second Year Second year arrived and that meant Hugo got to buy his own broom! He brought a shiny Firebolt 600 to school, though he never got to use it. The train ride to Hogwarts where he had met his friend Selina was a lot of fun and Hugo was ready to do good. He had a great summer with Fee, though she had been a little bit depressed because her boyfriend Edmond had left for Durmstrang. He had joined Eino's club the Y.W.H.O. too. After a while into the year he started dating Fee. He started to show interest in ukulele playing and wandlore. In February, his sister and a guy named Thanatos McFinnigan decided to get married. Hugo didn't even know him.

Boggart: Encountered in wardrobe at the age of 6, Jez got a quick snapshot of her brothers Keegan and Than dead, before Keegan turned it into a Howler meant for her other siblings, which they both thought was hilarious.

Pet: Many family pets (mostly owls), but her kitten Rowena is exclusively hers. Rowena is a blue-spotted black kitten who fell into an unknown potion when she was very young - the side effects other than her abnormal colouring is also unknown Rowena can also talk, and uses this talent inappropriately a lot.
Physical Description: Jez has waist-length black hair that is completely untameable, and violet eyes. She is quite tall and slim, but can be a bit klutzy at times. When she smiles her eyes light up, but when she's angry they look to have sparks in them.
Background - Jez is the 6th of 7 children, and was born to Maurice and Cassandra Black. She dislikes her family with ferocity, except for her 18-year-old brother Keegan and her nine-year-old brother Than. She and her siblings are continually playing pranks on each other. She is a pureblood, but dislikes people who are prejudiced against Muggles and Muggle-borns. Unfortunately her parents and most of her family fall in this category. She believes wizards can learn a lot from Muggles, because they are very resourceful.
Personality: Jez is very bookish and adores reading and learning, making the Sorting Hat's choice to put her in Ravenclaw quite easy! She is independent and determined, but can be withdrawn around new people. Be warned - she's not afraid to speak or jinx her mind to people to annoy her! She's already learnt heaps of spells before she's even gotten into the classroom. Jez is really interested in wandlore, and wants to be a wandmaker when she leaves Hogwarts. She has a hot head, and can blow up into a fury quite quickly if provoked. She likes books, learning, Chocolate Frogs, and doing things that will hopefully probably get her siblings into trouble.

ABOUT ME/HISTORY
Well, my history isn't really that interesting, because there's not a lot of. My story is kinda like a work in progress, y'know? But still, I'll put down what little I've got for y'all.
I was born in the teeny-tiny town of Bowling Green, Virginia. My parents - both British - decided to move out there after my father was offered a job working with the American Ministry. Both Pureblood Slytherins, I was raised to hate Muggles and Muggleborns - and yet they sent me to a Muggle school, which I don't get - but I can't really say that I agree with them on that point. They are people too and they deserve to be treated with respect... just don't tell mom and daddy I said that, or I'll thump you. Honest, I will.
When I was younger - and still now, I guess - I pretty much had whatever I wanted. Neither of my parents are around much; mom because she's got a group of friends who go out and do grown-up things that I'm not allowed to join in with, and daddy because his job is 'very demanding', apparently. So I was pretty much raised by the family House Elves, Pokey and Mitzy. I always try to be nice to them, because they're nice to me. I don't think it's fair that people treat House Elves so badly.
When I was five, my parents decided to send me to a Muggle 'primary school', for reasons unbeknownst to me. Either way, it was called Hanover Academy, and I loved it. I made a few really good friends who I intend to write to once a week from Hogwarts.
When I turned eleven and I got my Hogwarts, my parents considered sending me to the American Institute of Magic instead - after all, it is in the same country. After some deliberation, they decided that they wanted me to go to the same school as they went to, so I was sent packing. During the Christmas and Easter holidays I'm going to be staying with my Aunt Lucy and Uncle Ben, who live in Diagon Alley, and then I'll be going home to Bowling Green in the summer. I'm not all that pleased about the whole living-with-my-aunt thing, because she's a bit batty. My uncle's nice, though, so it shouldn't be too bad. And my cousins are awesome.

MY. STORY.
Elliot was born on a stormy day in November, in her mother and father's newly acquired family mansion(passed down to Darius by his father, Izzo). The mansion has been in the family for the past 500 or more years; no one really knows. It is extremely old, but very well kept. Her father was the only son, therefore the only one to carry on the family name. Darius and Josey needed to have a boy. They were part of one of the oldest pureblood families, and having an "heir" was practically vital. Darius was so sure and so much hoping that he would have a boy, he didn't care to check the sex of his unborn child before Elliot was born. Josey had the entire room decorated in baby blue, and all of Elliot's stuff were embroidered with her name. When she was born, Josey and Darius were surprised(and for Darius, rather angry) that Elliot was a girl. They kept her name the same, explaining why Elliot has a boy's name.
Darius was raised to despise muggles, and Josey was raised the opposite way. When they married, they simply set their differences aside. Something about the dark, mysterious Darius had attracted the light and airy Josey. Darius, on raising Elliot, made sure to instill in her all his ideals. Josey did the same. As a result, Elliot has a mixed collection of feelings. She does think she is the best thing on the earth due to her bloodline, but she doesn't exactly dislike muggles or muggle-borns. She finds them interesting, but she would never talk to a muggle or go to a muggle-born's house.
Five years later, after Elliot had been spoiled and brought up very comfortably, Josey was having another child. Elliot had been very close with her father and had acquired many of his traits over her mother's. She adored him. When he would come home, Elliot was simply stare up at him with her icy blue eyes with admiration. He would pat her on the head, and she would feel like the world was great. She lived for those pats on the head. The day that Danni was born, Elliot was in a rage. Her father was paying attention to the birth, and not her. Darius was so sure that he was going to have a little boy this time, named Dan. However, to his very dismay, he had another baby girl. They kept her name, Dan, but call her Danni, to make it a little less..male. Dan ni was such a happy little child, always laughing and screaming, and Elliot disliked her little sister. Josey fawned over Danni like she never did to Elliot...this creating this isolation between the two. Elliot favors her dad, while Danni favors her mother.
Four years later, Elliot was eight. She was turning out to be a cold, mean child. She would snap at the house elf, refuse to play outside, and read her books all day. Danni would run around like a normal child, not Elliot. Her father was seen less and less; he claimed that his job was becoming more demanding. Elliot never knew, and still doesn't know, what he does for a living. Whatever it is, it is top secret and makes a TON of money. Elliot become much more moody, considering that her father was rarely home. Josey became pregnant once again, and again the Morganzo's assumed that they would finally have a little boy. Once again, they were very wrong. His name was supposed to be Samuel with the nickname Sam. However, with the little girl arrived, they kept her name as Sam. This child was quiet, and her eyes matched Elliot's. Elliot liked her immediately, much more than her other sister.
They got their cruppie when Sam was one. He was a mean little thing, growling at the girls constantly. He favored Elliot, allowing only her to stroke him gently as she read. Elliot wishes she could have brought Moze, but, alas, she couldn't.
Darius has seemed to have given up on ever producing an heir; Elliot constantly feels like she has disappointed him in some way for not being a boy. He was a Slytherin, her mum a Gryffindor. She was expected to be pleased there, since the entire family on her father's side had been in that house. However, she was not. She is, instead, an Eagle. Elliot has been feeling increasingly like the biggest disappointment to her father EVER. However, she doesn't let it get to her.

Extra Info Personality: Vashti can be a little shy when she is in a new place and knows absolutely nobody, but generally she's very bubbly, out-going, and fun-loving. She loves to laugh and have a good time, though she does know when to be serious. She's typically very even-tempered but can become very frustrated and angered by William Fullmer certain things, and she can be incredibly stubborn.
Being a Ravenclaw, Vashti is very intelligent though she tries not to act like a know-it-all. She likes to think logically but certainly isn't afraid to think outside the box, and she absolutely adores reading - she almost always has a book with her. However, she is often worried about her grades and can get really worked up if she thinks she's going to fail. When she's in such a state, it's usually in your best interests to just let her be, no matter how much she might try to force you to quiz her on everything something. Also, when she gets really nervous, she starts biting on her nails. She is also very disorganized and likes to multi-task, which isn't always good for her.
Also, Vashti likes to eat. A LOT. Especially candy, ice cream, and desserts in general.
Background: Born on May 2, 2059, to Victor and Vivian Greenwell, Vashti never expected to find out that magic existed and that she could be a part of it all. She had two wonderful, but non-magical, parents, went to a non-magical school for years, and had many non-magical friends. But then it all changed the day she turned eleven, and a person showed up on her family’s doorstep with a letter saying that she had been accepted into a school called Hogwarts. After many hours’ worth of discussion, her parents gladly accepted the fact that she was a witch and agreed that it would be best for her to attend this “Hogwarts” place. All three agreed it would certainly be cheaper than sending her to the school they had been planning on. Though not exactly poor, they never did have a whole lot of money they could just throw around willy-nilly on things.
Vashti’s first and second year went off pretty well, having not really been involved in the crazy “Fight Club” that affected the school in her first year, and became a huge Quidditch fanatic, even managing to join the team both years as a reserve. But with the start of her third year came a brand new stressful experience – just before her third year began, her father was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor. Reluctantly, she went back to Hogwarts and was further disappointed in the cancellation of Quidditch for the Triwizard Tournament. She corresponded with her mother and father through owls when she could and went home every time they were off for a holiday break. Some days were more stressful than others, depending on whether her mum’s last letter said her dad was doing better or worse. She was ready to come home at the end of the year, but the day she got back became the worst day of her life: Just a few hours after she arrived at the hospital, her father passed away while both Vashti and her mum were in the room with him.
It was a devastating blow to the Greenwell family, and they would never be the same. Victor’s death brought not only emotional stress, but financial as well. Vivian had to get a second job, and Vashti even took on a part-time job for awhile, to make ends meet. Whenever Vashti wasn’t working, she took care of their small house – cleaning, washing dishes, making the beds, all the little things like that so her mum wouldn’t have to worry about it when she got home after a long day at work. All this kept Vashti busy and nearly convinced her that she shouldn’t go back to Hogwarts for her fourth year – her mother needed her more than Hogwarts did, she reasoned. Her mother, however, did not agree to her quitting her education there, knowing her daughter would be better off getting away from all this. Vivian refused to let her go to a Muggle school and by the time the first of September rolled around, Vashti had reluctantly agreed to go back to Hogwarts, but only at the assurance that her mother would live at Aunt Grace’s, Vivian’s sister, house for awhile so she wouldn’t be alone.
So fourth year began against Vashti’s wishes, but there was perhaps one good thing about this year – Quidditch was back. So, of course, Vashti tried out and was thrilled to find out she’d made the team again. Quidditch practices and games helped keep her mind off of other things, at least while they lasted, and gradually she began to not think about her father’s death or start crying as often as she had over the summer. Her once-positive and friendly personality continued to become prominent once again, especially so after Ravenclaw won the Championship Quidditch match.
With the start of her fifth year, there's pretty much only one - okay, two - things on her mind: the OWLs, and Quidditch. As the year went on, though, she had a third thing to be concerned about - her mum's new "friend" (read: boyfriend), Marcus "Mark" MacDougal. Vashti didn't like the idea of her mother getting a boyfriend, as she didn't want anyone trying to replace her dad. She met him over Christmas break, and though he wasn't exactly a bad guy, she wasn't willing to give him a chance and disliked him from the start. On the last night before break was over, she cornered him and told him exactly what she thought of him and that she wanted him to go away, and then she stormed back to her room and said a brisk good-bye to her mum and aunt when she left for Hogwarts the next morning.
It took a few weeks before she started to regret her outburst toward Marcus, but she tried to drown out the guilt by studying even harder for the OWLs and practicing extra hard for the Quidditch games, but as Ravenclaw did not make it to the Championship Game this time, she spent most of her time focused on studying. She couldn't hide from her guilt forever though, and gradually it started to get worse. She slowly realized that Marcus actually wasn't that horrible of a guy and that he genuinely made her mum happy - certainly happier than she'd been in awhile - and wasn't that a good thing? Still, she procrastinated on apologizing until after she had taken her OWLs in June; then, she wrote a letter to both her mother and Marcus and sent it with her new pet owl, Calandra, just a few days before the term ended.
Reuniting with her mum (and Marcus) at King's Cross Station wasn't quite as painful as Vashti had expected it to be. Her mum didn't scold her quite as much as she'd thought she would, and even Marcus seemed pretty understanding of it all.
The following weeks were spent better than Christmas had been, and Vashti was starting to warm up to Marcus as well as his children, Kristina and Derek, who had just graduated from Beauxbatons. Then, a week before the end of July, her mum and Marcus announced that they were engaged - and though at first Vashti was shocked, and rather horrified, she has begun to accept it and is, perhaps a little, happy for her mum.

Alfie is difficult to describe, because a lot of her major emotions are rarely shown on her expression. Though far from mean, Alfie sometimes has difficulty going out of her way to show her caring side and meet new friends. She likes having people around her and prefers to have friends, but has found that her generally mousey outward appearance makes it difficult to meet people. Sometimes she can even seem like she doesn't want to speak with anyone, when in reality can't think of anything to say.
Though generally quiet around new people, after a couple weeks of knowing someone, Alfie can quickly warm up to them and show her more humourous, outgoing side. She's a very loyal friend, and once she knows a person, she has no problems speaking with them and having a good time. She has a bad, consistent habit of staring. Like, really staring. Oftentimes, her large blue eyes get stuck onto someone's expression out of curiosity or thoughtfulness, and she won't realize it at all. Alfie is very observant, and sweet, and seemingly quiet, but quickly grows happy and excited around her own friends.

At the age of eleven, instead of attending Hogwarts like most of the other wizarding youth her age, Alfie was at a boarding school that reached from age eight to thirteen. A small educational system, it provided her with any learning tools she needed in regards to both muggle things and wizarding knowledge up to the 3rd year standard in Hogwarts's eyes. Basically, it was the equivalent to a Hogwarts education, minus the fun. At boarding school, she found friends and small relationships, but never really found great happiness, her personality allowing her to fade into the background successfully with her small group of friends to keep her company now and then.
At the beginning of her fourth year, her parents allowed her to transfer over into Hogwarts, a large step for Alfie who hadn't ever been in a school with so much prestige. She eventually found her place, immensely enjoying the classes and even finding a group of people to be around that she greatly liked. Her new friends topped her old ones easily, and she enjoyed their company off the bat.
Now entering her fifth year, the little blonde Ravenclaw is equipped with a rejuvenated confidence of sorts, mainly as a result of the friends she has acquired over the last year of schooling. Finding herself in the midst of great classes, even better friends, and of course, her boyfriend, Theo, Alfie couldn't possibly be in a better mood to start a new term.

Alfie is an only child, and though she gets along with her parents, doesn't consider them to be her favourite people in the world. They provide her with a place to stay, and she can enjoy their company, but they don't exactly have heart to heart conversations. Alfie does perfectly fine on her own. Her father's strict rules have pretty much extinguished any chances of a healthy father-daughter relationship, constantly battling with his stern attitude. Alfie's own light-hearted, curious personality, can often clash with her father's more business-like one. ("Would you quit staring at people, Alfie!? Merlin, you're always doing that...")
Her mother is sweet but clueless, content to buy her way into happiness with the money gained from her husband's successful job in the Wizarding world. Seemingly oblivious to any and all problems, she sails through life with her shopping habits, speaking to her daughter about light topics occasionally before heading off to a massage or manicure or something of the sort. Alfie doesn't exactly mind though, her personality just differs greatly from that of her parents and she much prefers to be at school with the few friends she's gained at Hogwarts.
