Harvey is sorted into Ravenclaw and takes his seat at the table. But is gutted as his friend Minerva is sorted into Hufflepuff, but he knows they can meet in and between classes

Minerva leans herself back in her seat so she can reach her head over to the next table. "Harvey... Harvey" she says in a loud whisper. "Congrats on Ravenclaw! This is exciting isn't it. I can not believe how many first years there really are. How many students there are all together for that matter."

Valeria excitedly walked towards the Ravenclaw table. The Sorting Hat had placed her in Ravenclaw! She was so excited. As she sat on one of the empty chairs, she looked around, trying to spot one of her friends...

Jayden was ecstatic! She had been sorted into Ravenclaw, along with her new found friends, Erin, and Valeria! It was already looking like it was going to be a fabulous year.

Erin walked into the Great Hall hand in hand with her friend Jayden and the others. She was nervous as she saw the enchanted ceiling with floating candles in their. She suddenly noticed a lot of ghosts floating in the air. A lot of students are sitting on their respective tables. She saw some of her new friends she had met at the Diagon Alley and thoss she met at the train. She waved to all of them looking forward for a great year and genuine friendship with them.

Gaby made her way over to the Ravenclaw table, practically skipping with glee. She was officially a Ravenclaw! She knew her parents would be disappointed - scratch that, they'd be furious - but she had secretly been hoping that she'd be in Ravenclaw ever since she had gotten her letter. Grinning like a loon on loon tablets, she plonked herself down onto one of the benches, looking around the Great Hall in awe. It was so amazing! Especially the ceiling, although it was raining outside, so it was a little grey. Well, a lot grey, but still - it was all good, because she was in Ravenclaw!

She took a sip of water, and then looked around at her fellow 'Claws. There seemed to be a few first years, like her, and the Sorting was still going on, so hopefully there would be a few more as well. She hoped that she'd make some new friends in her house - or that some of the friends she had already made would be sorted into Ravenclaw. She didn't mind if they weren't - they could still see each other in lessons and breaks and things - but it would be nice to have at least one familiar face to share a dorm with. And a Common Room. And a dining table. And - yeah, she should probably stop now. She sighed as Arianna was made a Gryffindor. Well, that was one friend down. There was still Ashley, and Elliot, and Cora. She knew Kita was a Hufflepuff, seeing as she was older and had already been sorted.

Hmm. Seeing as there was no one she knew here yet, she may as well talk to someone new. Gaby turned and smiled broadly at the girl next to her, giving a little wave as well. 'Hi, I'm Gaby,' she said in her Southern drawl. 'What's your name?' she added, to be polite. And obviously because she wanted to know the girl's name. She couldn't form a friendship with her if she didn't know her name! Duuh. 'Are you a First Year too?' she asked, looking her up and down. She looked like a First Year, but Gaby could never really tell for sure. She was awful at judging these things.

Jayden was soo happy to have two of her friends that she had met on the train in the same house with her. "This is SO cool!" Jayden said, giggling with delight.

Valeria grinned as she noticed Jayden and Erin sit at the Ravenclaw Table. Oh she's glad they're in Ravenclaw..

"Hey!" She called out to them. "Oh it's wonderful that we're in the same house!" She exclaimed, excitedly.

Valeria also noticed the other first years in Ravenclaw Table. They all seem like nice people, and she hoped that she'll get along with everyone..

Harvey turns around to see who is calling him and is face to face with Minerva
"Thanks, congrats to you too on Hufflepuff. Yeah I can't believe it either, there are soo many students old and new. This hall is really big, well it has to be to accomodate this many students." Harvey says looking over the Great Hall in complete awe. Harvey spots Erin and waves at her and gestures her to come and sit next to him

Damon made his way off the train and headed over to his table... He was home away from home again at last for another year and he was very pleased. Looking around at the other students he especially was happy to see that the majority of them were returning, he was sure though that many of them were hungry and could not wait until the feast actually started. Damon's stomach was growling and he himself knew that he needed a proper meal, he continued to sit on the bench just looking expectantly at his plate..

Pam walked up to the ravenclaw table, happy to be a ravenclaw. She sat, excitedly, awaiting for her friend, Nate, hopping he is also a fellow ravenclaw.

Cael smirked as he made his way over to the Ravenclaw table. He hadn't gotten the chance to meet many of his housemates yet, but hopefully he'd be able to change that soon. Nodding to his fellow 'Claws, Cael sat regally amidst the sea of blue, looking forward to what he knew to be a delicious tradition at the start of each new year.

He paused, however, when he noticed the rather disgusting silverware strewn about the table. Insulting! Every Pureblood knew that to host a dinner party was a show of one's own wealth and prosperity. If this was the way Hogwarts treated its students, Cael assumed they would have a very poor year indeed.

Slipping his ebony wand from the holster on his left forearm, Cael twirled it above their heads, Scourgifying both his and several other's settings until they gleamed. Tucking his wand back into the sleeve of his robes, Cael grimaced as he imagined the state of the kitchens they would soon be eating food from. Urgh.

Erin was still at awe with how the ceiling looks like. It feels like the sky was built closer to her. Suddenly, a girl talked from her right. She saw a rather beautiful witch that seems willing to know quite some friends. "Hi there!" she waved her hand even though she was just inches from her. She's quite used to this. "I'm Erin. Nice to meet you Gaby. I'm starving," she muttered with a small smile on her face. "These are my friends," she pointed to her left "Jayden and there is Valeria."



"Yeah!" she said not looking at her but the ongoing sorting ceremony.

"Now! It's on!" she said with a high voice.

"Yeah it has to be big to fit everyone. The sky and stars are so cool on the ceiling." Minerva notices Harvey's gaze and see Erin at the Ravenclaw table as well. She looks down a little sad that Harvey and Erin weren't in her house with her.

Nathaniel Stone was beaming to sit down next to his best friend, Pamphylia Barstow at the Ravenclaw table. He was excited to have an old friend in the same house, but he was also looking forward to making new friends. "Hello, anyone and everyone!" he said, addressing every single person at the table, hoping to at least get one response.

Jayden noticed a boy, about her age grimacing as he surveyed the table, maybe he was homesick... or in a bad mood. Being the curious type, Jayden went to go see what was up.

"Hey, my name is Jayden." She said, flashing a smile. "Is everything okay?"

"Are the dishes always so utterly filthy at our table?" Cael asked an older boy who seemed to be staring at his plate in very well-concealed horror. "Everything I've ever read about Hogwarts stated nearly the exact opposite. I do hope you all don't let them treat you this poorly," Cael shuddered, imaging their neglect extending far beyond that of the cleanliness of the silverware.

She excused herself to her friends then headed toward Harvey. "I can't believe it Harvey! We're on the same house. However, I cannot sit with you right now. I'm with my friends from the compartment. See you at the common room, I guess?" she said then exited toward the other girls at the middle of the table.

She looked at Minerva and said, "And hi there Minerva!"

Valeria smiled and glanced around the Great Hall. The ceiling were like the sky, bright at the moment and as blue as the sea. Candles were hovering high above them, and students filled the Hall, chatting amongst themselves. Valeria glanced at the Staff Table, looking at the different teachers that sat there. She inwardly wondered whether they all will be her teacher this year.

Then Valeria heard Erin introduced her to a new girl. Gaby she believed her name is? Deciding to greet her, Valeria smiled at Gaby.

"Oh, hello...it's nice to meet you" She offered her hand. "My name is Valeria, hope we can be friends" She grinned.

Harvey watches Erin take a seat not far from him, and is introducing people to each other then he is about to say something to Minerva when he notices her sad face
"Hey don't be sad, remember what we were talking about on the train, we can meet in between classes and in classes also, its just when we are here that we are not sitting together. But look we are still together right now even though you are over there on the Hufflepuff table and I am here on the Ravenclaw table" Harvey says trying to cheer her up, even though he himself was hoping she would be sorted into the same house as him. Erin comes over and says that she is with other friends and that they will meet later and she goes sits down where she was, well they will be able to meet in the common room as she said

Cael laughed somewhat weakly, "I'm not sure, you tell me..." Cael gestured to the heaps of tarnished, dirty silverware scattered willy-nilly atop the table before them. "I guess what I was expecting at Hogwarts fell extremely short of reality," he heaved a disappointed sigh.

"My name is Caelius, sorry if I seemed upset. I was just a bit surprised is all."

"Hi Erin. Congrats on Ravenclaw. Harvey look I'm already being a bad friend. Go join Erin with her friends and meet your new house family. We will catch up tomorrow." Then Minerva gave a big grin to Harvey and turned back to her table.

Jayden glanced down at the table... "Oh. Wow, I hadn't noticed that until now.." She made a face, and then glanced up at Caelius. He showed signs of good upbringing. "So I take it you're a pureblood? Me too." She said, flashing him a knowing smile.

Harvey taps Minerva on her shoulder, she turns around
"You are not being a bad friend, you don't know many people from your table so you are talking to me, and besides Erin is with other friends and I am with you" Harvey says looking at her face. "I can meet her in the common room later just like she said, we can talk with each other only while we are here, then it is to our respective common rooms until classes start. So you aren't being a bad friend" He smiles at her
