This particular room has served as an office to a number of different professors over the years. Some of which include revered professors such as Septima Vector, Bree Geltz, Kali O'hara, Lesley Modulo Fox, Matthias Pythagoras Wenlock, Onyx Xavier Frost, and of course, Macadrian Ashling Shackleton-Clark. With each new Professor that has made this office homey, Josephina is sure they each brought their own particular flair to its decorations to accommodate their tastes. Just as Josephina did when she first entered upon this room just several years ago now.
The walls have been painted a light blue-gray color and there are a handful of paintings hung around the room, giving off a rather comfortable aura. One of the paintings is a rendition repainted by Josephina, herself, of a canal near her hometown in Perugia, Italy. There is a framed miniature Italian flag, as well as a third painting of of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
As with typical office decorum, there is a large, polished wooden desk, that once belonged to each of her predecessors. There are a few neat stacks of papers and worksheets on the desk. There are also a few framed photographs sitting on her desk; one of Josephina posed with her two sisters, one of her parents, Nicole and Marcus, sitting on their couch. A new photograph has been recently added though of a baby girl, about toddler-aged, who will crawl around in the photo and maybe even disappear completely if you watch long enough, but have no fear, she'll be back! Behind the large wooden desk sits a black executive style chair. Directly on the other side of the desk - where visitors may sit - are two smaller black chairs, but still just as comfortable.
There's a bookcase on the left side, which contains various titles that Josephina collected over the years. Some these include, but are not limited to, The Complete Book of Numerology, New Theory of Numerology, Numerology and Gramatica, A Look Into The Future, and Olde and Forgotten Bewitchments and Charmes. There are also muggle classic books by Charles Dickens and Jane Austen, for which are a few of Fina's guilty pleasures.
Though the door is nearly always open, proper etiquette dictates knocking and addressing your identity before entering. Especially as Professor Hadley likely has her back to the door where she is playing with her puppy named Baisley or her kitten received from recent graduate, Lorelai Bristol, in which she conveniently named Bristol. Just entering without permission is rude and punishable with either point deduction and/or detention for being disrespectful.
OOC: No, there is no waiting area, but please do not clog up this thread with useless chatter of 'waiting to enter'. Have your character knock and then wait for Professor Hadley to respond to either enter or to come back later.
There are plenty of places around the school that allow for chat with your friends; Professor Hadley's office is NOT the place for it and doing as such will be cause for appropriate discipline actions.

Ronnie thought she would pay her Professor a visit. She had met her in Diagon Alley and now wanted to see her again. She had promised she would visit. Perhaps she was coming a bit too soon, but Ronnie couldn't be around the rest of the students. They were all so happy all the time and she couldn't be around THAT many happy people at once.

Destiny really hated visiting Professors in their office, and she had only done it about five times her whole time at Hogwarts. She felt weird, like she was walking into their home. Because really, where do they sleep at night!? At their desks, of course! It was the reason they were always so miserable.
But she was getting off track. She needed to speak to a Professor, and it had to be Professor Hadley. Sure, she wasn't a big Arithmancy fan, but she did attend the classes.. once in a while. Hadley, though, she was the only one with the skill to help.
Since Professor Bishop had disappeared.
Practically running down the corridor, not scared of getting in trouble by a Prefect, pfft, she was wearing Carter's Gryffindor Quidditch Captain badge and the Head Girl was her BEST friend, Destiny came to a halt right out front of the Professor's door, noticing that it was opened slightly. She tried to get a peek inside, but it was like someone's big head was in the way.. unless.. that big head belonged to Hadley? Ehh, big head or not, she needed to see her!
Knock, knock, knock.

Erin really had guts. A first year paying a visit to a professor! But she's doing this ever since, and it always pays her right. In Muggleworld, Erin's quite used to talking to her teachers before classes start. It was her way of giving the teacher an impression about her. It was actually a tricky move. Will the visit earn her points or lose her face in the front of the professor forever? That thought made her stomach churn a bit.
Her hand put together ready to knock at once. She thought twice, put it down and walk away from the door but without thinking, she leaned closer to the door and slowly placed her ear there. Seems like she's trying to hear what's happening inside. She's DECIDED.

"So...sorr....sorry." Ronnie said sniffling trying really hard not to competely break down. This meeting wasn't going well at all. she was determined not to cry and she still did. She felt very embarassed and didn't know what to do about it, but she couldn't stop. Loosing her dad was the ultimate problem.

Before she could get too settled with the Hufflepuff girl - in comforting her, was it? - there was a knock. Actually three consecutive knocks, which meant clearly someone was impatient to see her. Looking past Ronnie, Fina frowned at the sight of a familiar seventh year. Not that she was disappointed to see her, but quite the opposite. She was confused.
Her best friend - they WERE friends again, right? - had come to see her last year, but Destiny Shepard had NEVER visited her. Heck, Josephina hadn't even been sure that the girl even liked Arithmancy.
"Miss Shepard... Come in... take a seat. What can i do for you?" Just ignore the Badger girl with the sad face . . .

Another impatient one? Probably, considering this one too knocked thrice. But unlike the seventh year of whom Josephina recognized from prior years, she had NO idea who this one was. Except judging from the colors of her robes, she was not in her house, but rather the house of her sisters.
"Come in, dear. If you like." Which why else would she have been here if she didn't want to come in?

Err... Perhaps she should have asked Veronica before inviting two people to invade on her crying episode? Nodding at her, she blinked as she started to cry with the peppermint. Was the peppermint bad? Had it brought back some sad memory?
"It's okay... it's okay..." Fina consoled, wondering if she should offer her to visit Lafay for a Pepperup Potion? Deciding against it for now, she just smiled and offered a tissue. "Care to tell me what's wrong, dear?" Or at least why you're here? Hopefully not to flood out her office with teenage tears; Hadley winched at that thought.

Oopsie! This one is different from Erin's visit to Professor Bentley. In here, they were not alone together. There were two other students, one was crying and the other one, judging from her look, had just entered the room as well. This is getting really embarassing. The other two seems to have important matters to discuss with Professor Hadley. On Erin's part, she just wanted to know the Arithmancy professor and make a good impression or a good head start before the class.
Erin had done this many times before in Muggle school. She meets up with her teachers before classes officially start to let them be familiar to her. "Thank you Professor," she said as Professor Hadley invited her in. "I am Erin Heyman, first year Ravenclaw," Erin said, smiling. "The truth is I just wanted to see you before classes start and ask for pointers on how to get a good grade in Arithmancy. I really love Math and I heard from others, if I heard it right," Erin said a little stiff then added, "It's all about Math."

Destiny was getting impatient, and began bouncing on her feet a little, trying to quicken up the time. How hard was it to call out and let her in!? What needed to be talked about was important! And the fact that she, Destiny Shepard, had walked up all those steps to visit a Professor, a Professor that taught a lesson that only gave her a migraine, had to mean something. Right!?
It did, so when she heard her name FINALLY being called to be let in, she didn't hesitate to open the door more and slip inside the room. And the first thing she noticed was.. the lack of bed inside. That just let everyone know that her theory of Professor's sleeping at their desk was indeed, correct. And another thing that made her theory correct.. a girl.. was sitting in front of the woman CRYING.
Professor Hadley. Destiny didn't know the woman had it in her to make a student cry. She received a mental thumbs up.
But back to business. Not that they started.. Err, she was getting distracted.
"Professor!" she called out, moving further into the room and taking the free seat. "I need to talk to you." Obviously.
Ohh! Is that a PUPPY!? And a KITTY!?

Aw! She was sooo cute! The sight of the small girl totally made Fina temporarily forget about the crying Puff and the anxious She-Snake. Especially with her eagerness for the subject. Except there was one minor fault with what she asked, but her eagerness and such seemed to counter-balance it. Didn't it?
"Nice to meet you, Miss Heyman." Ravenclaw. That figured. But clearly she was young to not know that she shouldn't believe everything she hears. "Not all about math, but yes, basic math skills are important. As for pointers? I can't give you too much as it wouldn't be fair to others, but I will say this; show up to the lessons and try. If you have troubles after a lesson with any of the material I taught, don't hesitate to ask myself or someone else." She could think of a few students that would be more than willing to help with Arithmancy.

Professor Hadley was as welcoming as Porfessor Bentley. They both are just so sweet. Ooooh! Basic Math skills only? Erin thought, she'll going to excel here since it's a Muggle subject, probably the only one she knew apart from Astronomy which, she was sure, is not science-based but fortune-based.
Just like other fair teachers, she did not gave Erin some pointers. So, Erin's visit was just a waste of time? Well, on the positive side, the Professor get to know her now. She should feel grateful that Professor Hadley even gave her time at the least. "Thank you for that, Professor," said Erin hiding her slight disappointment. "I will make sure that I am always prepared at your class. And when will it start again, Professor?" Now that she's already here, why not ask her?

If Destiny hadn't been in the office for something of utmost importance, she would have asked if she could play with the puppy and kitten in the room. They were so cute! Of course, she could always go back to the woman for a social visit, but after seeing the girl in the room crying, she decided she shouldn't ever return.
So, she was just going to mention why she was there. The sooner she did, the sooner she could get out of there.
And Professor Hadley looked ever so excited to hear what she had to say.
Taking a deep breath, she eyed the bowl of peppermints. No, she didn't want any of them.. She was getting distracted again.
"Well, you see. I was going to go to the Divination Professor for this, but then I heard that the new Professor is not a Professor at all! It's a Centaur! Did you know about this?" Not that that had anything to do with why she was there..

We've missed you. Treyen wasn't going to say he'd missed her brilliant mind, though, but he had. And he was very much ashamed that he'd failed to know that SHE was HIS Head of House! Like, how incredibly brilliant that was!
Truthfully, he was going to miss the pretty Healer Moretti a lot...but having Hadley as HoH was amazing. Really. Because he liked her. She was cool. And used to be a Hufflepuff, with Nolan.

"You're a Ravenclaw. Being prepared is like second nature to you lot." Unless of course your name was Ellie Stone, but that girl was like an entirely different breed of Ravenclaws. For starters, she was an athlete. But anyway, Erin had asked a question, hadn't she? "Soon. I haven't confirmed an actual date yet, but once I have, you will know about it. No worries." Giving the girl a smile, she turned toward the anxious seventh year now instead.

"Headmaster Tate has reasons and logic behind his decisions for putting someone in a position," Fina said simply. Even she didn't know them, but she was sure that the centaur was well-qualified to teach the subject if Tate thought he was. "But we're skipping around the point. What did you need to speak with me about?"

Treyen heard correctly, yes? He was free to step inside? Soooo no one inside was having a private conversation? Awesome! He didn't need to have one, so he stepped inside, with a big smile on his face.
He first nodded to the girl sitting there, and..., "Hi Destiny," the Slytherin genius got a smile of her own.
Hmmm, he'll have to wait for a seat to empty, right? Well, he took a peppermint from Hadley's desk, and stood close by, "How are you, Professor?" he said, but why was he still smiling so widely?

The professor understands a Ravenclaw. That's good. "I am so proud to be a Ravenclaw, Professor. But, I have these insecurities like not knowing basic wizarding history. I feel so ashamed when I converse with other students from other houses and they give me a nasty look. I guess I needed to work extra hard to keep up with Ravenclaws' minds." Why is Erin so comfortable talking to Professor Hadley? She has this aura that draws people's honesty and emotion.
Erin heard the conversation of one girl and Professor Hadley about Divination. She took that subject. And what? A centaur is going to be their Professor? What is a centaur anyway? She didn't bother ask, or even intervene the conversation. Erin smiled when she caught the girl's eyes.

Nervously Ness walked down the second floor corridor and headed to Professor Hadley's office. She needed to get permission from a Professor about her birthday party that was coming up soon as she had heard that it wasn't allowed to have a party without permisson. Nessie was a birthday freak, and her birthday was the most important day to her, so she always tried to make sure she had some sort of a party, though last year she didn't worry about her party at all. She was going through a tough patch and having a party was the last thing on her mind but even so her best friend Zara had surprised her with a massive party in the awsome Room of Requirement.
Obviously Professor Hadley was the best Professor to come to, to get permisson. She was a one of a kind professor and she was also the best Head of House Ness had, had.
Anxiously looking at the slightly open door, Ness thought of comming back later but she knew she wouldn't come back if she left now.
Politely Ness knocked on the door waiting for the Professor's reply.

Because Professor Hadley was beginning to get waaay off topic by talking about Headmaster Tate, and she didn't want to have to correct her. How weird would it be to correct a Professor!? Very. Glancing at the door, as there was another knock at the door, she hadn't realized how very popular Arithmancy was, or maybe it was the mints that the Professor gave out?, Destiny gave Treyen a grin and a little wave as he walked into the room.
She liked him, he knew she was a genius.
But back to the reason why she was there. Turning back to Professor Hadley, Destiny leaned back in her seat, and placing her elbows on the armrests, she steepled her fingers together. An important meeting; she had to look the part. "Well, you see.. I had this dream the other night, right? And I went to talk to Evelyn about it, but she said something about something, I can't remember, but I DO remember her saying something about you." Did Professor Hadley get that?
"Can you help me?"

Hecate made her way to the office, she knocked on the door so loud it sounded as though she would break it down. She stood there quiet, waiting to be let in.

Aw. She really was so cute. Reminded her slightly of her sister - the younger one - with the pride within her. "You're young. Everyone comes from all different backgrounds and sometimes, first year is one of the toughest. Especially if the wizarding world is new to you. But eventually, things will even out.... and everything will be right." Of course it would be. "Right, little H." Yup. That was what she was gonna call this girl from now on Perhaps it would catch on?. Or at least until she was a fifth year.

Oh Merlin. She knew where this was heading. This was heading into one of those vague conversations that she gave Evelyn last year, which somehow HELPED Evelyn and yet she still had no IDEA what the dream was about.
Sigh.
She didn't do dream interpretations. She really didn't.
"I don't know if I can," Fina quipped automatically. "But I think the best way to help someone is to help them..." Into the black lake? Naw. That was mean. "... help themselves."

Peeking around the ajarred door, Fina saw first one of her young Hufflepuffs - Renesmee. And then right near the second year stood one of her colleagues. Hecate never came to see her; in fact, she was pretty sure the only conversations she had had with the woman existed of quick nods and hellos at the staff dais.
Looking around at the students in her office, she wondered if Hecate would mind them. No, right? But if they minded her, then they'd leave, she supposed.
"Professor Lafay! Miss Dixon!" Fina called. "Come in, come in. What can i do for you?"

"Thanks, Professor!" squealed Erin. That was truly enlightening. And did she heard it right? Little H? Nice one. 'H' stands for her surname Heyman. Her eyes glistened with the name. Blushing a little she said, "Little H!" She looked at her eyes for a while then said, "Professor, I think I need to go. The office is getting pretty crowded."

After their time in Arithmancy class, Alyssa decided that she needed to speak with Professor Hadley on how she could go about improving her knowledge on the subject. She has always been bad in Muggle Math, and from the looks of it, even though this was her first time taking the subject, she knew that without help, she was going to have lots of problems understanding it. "Hopefully, Professor Hadley will give me suggestions on what I can do, or read to help me catch up," Alyssa thought to herself.
She knocked on the door.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
...and waited for the Professor to answer the door. She checked her shoes to make sure that they were clean because she didn't want to be trudging any dirt into the Professor's office.

The Hufflepuff Prefect smiled at Destiny again as she gave him a little wave, and paid no attention to whatever she was talking about to the Arithmancy Professor. It was none of his business.
And...his question had been answered. Good. How was he? "Great." His smile widened, and soon became a smirk, "Even more so now that you're my Head of House, Professor." THAT was a compliment, Hadley, take it.
Merlin, he was smirking waaaay too much lately.
Distractions happened, because Lafay was suddenly at the door. He hadn't seen that one coming. Literally. Neither the Potions Mistress nor the visit. Were Lafay and Hadley even close?

Letting Professor Lafay in first Ness walked into the office. She wasn't too sure what Professor Lafay was doing in here. It didn't seem like Lafay came to visit regularly, there must have been something up. She decided to keep quiet and let Lafay speak as she knew what Lafay was like.
Ness gave Professor Hadley a wink hoping Hadley would see that she didn't mind waiting for Lafay to speak to her first. She then looked around as she waited and noticed there were three other students, Trey which obviously she knew and there were two other girls whom she had never met before in her life. Being a typical Hufflepuff she would have introduced herself, but now was not the time anyone would know that. So instead she just gave them all a sweet smile.
