"I'm a little nervous. But I'm mostly excited," replied Sky. "My muggle school was so boring." She spotted an empty compartment and open the door. "Do you wanna sit here?"

Pam walked through the train, trying to find a good seat. She didn't want to sit in the front, but the back seemed too far to walk. So she grabbed a compartment in the middle section. She motioned for her friend, Nate, to follow.

He was not very far behind (he never was when he was with Pam) and they sat in the nearest empty compartment. "You know, I think we ought to meet some other ravenclaws if there are any on this particular cabin."

"Meeting people sounds fun." She said, trying her hardest to sound excited. All last night Pam had a hard time sleeping, and right now, she was just glad to be sitting and watching the scenery go by. "But I do wish to sit here a bit." She looked back, and smiled at Nate.

Presley hopped onto the train, carrying Mercury. The only item she hadn't trusted Leo to stow for her. She whistled softly to her owl, and glanced behind her, just to make sure Luna was following. Assured, she continued on to an empty compartment, which wasn't too hard to find, as the train was mostly empty. She sat down and smoothed her skirt, fidgeted with her top and settled Mercury next to her. She was so ready for another year at Hogwarts.

He returned a warm smile and started to inspect the cabin. It was clean, that was a good thing. The seats were comfortable, Pam was pretty as always, but he didn't ever like to linger on that for too long. The scenery outside was a blur of green at first glance, but the woods on either side were close enough to be in striking detail if one were to focus on them (which Nate did not). Then he stood up and poked his head out into the aisle, looking up and down the row and into the other cabins. Most were empty, but there was one man who stood out to him. "Hey, Pam? Is that the headmaster over there?"

Pam got up, looked down the aisle, and shrugged. "I don't know. I've never been, so I don't know what he looks like." She said, sitting back down against the window. She yawned and closed her eyes a bit. Staying up late the night before leaving is not a good idea. Thought Pam.

Sarah wandered down the corridors of the train, looking for an empty compartment. She figured she'd meet up with Evangeline, Amethyst, and Jamey later.

Sarah spotted an empty compartment and went to sit inside, leaving the door slightly ajar so her friends would notice.

"Hey, did you see that girl walk in with her owl?" Nate asked, looking back down at Pam, who had started to doze off. He thought he heard some sort of grunting noise, and took it as a no. "Well, I think I'm going to go talk to her. She is a ravenclaw, so I guess it would be a good idea. If you don't want to come thats fine--" by this point, Pam was likely not even listening, but Nate continued to talk anyway "--but I find it intelligent to do as much research as possible, especially before doing anything like walking into a magical castle with moving stairs, and ghosts, and dungeons--" Nate shuddered at this "-- and deciding to stay at said castle for an entire term to study magic!" Nate paused. He was sure he heard a small snore. "Right then, I'll be off!"

Pam was glad she didn't have to go anywere, yet kinda annoyed at the fact that she was now alone. She sighed and grabed her bag. She took out a box of crystalised pineapple, and ate a piece staring out the window, hoping someone would talk to her soon.

Nathaniel approached the girl's cabin walking rather briskly.
"Hello, I'm Nathaniel Zacharias Stone, first year Ravenclaw. What's your name? Oh, and is this seat taken?" He asked, gesturing to an open seat in the compartment.

Elliot lugged her suitcase and other luggage onto the train, down the corridor a little, and then stopped. She peered into a few compartments that had people already. Elliot wasn't feeling friendly today. She simply wanted to relax on the train ride to school. She felt a little excited, not nervous at all, but mostly happy to be away from her overbearing and overly cheerful mother. She finally found an empty compartment, shoved all of her stuff into it, and plopped down gracefully onto the seat. She folded one leg over the other and crossed her hands at her knees. She looked very proper(ha!). Elliot sighed, wondering only vaguely about what Hogwarts would be like. She didn't really care at the moment...

Jamey followed Sarah into the compartment, thankful her stuff wasn't with her. She sank into a cushy seat and relaxed. Whatever was about to come, she couldn't stop it now, so she just wasn't going to bother worrying about it. If magic didn't exist and these people really were a bunch of loony's with cool tricks, well at least she woulod get to watch them, and possibly learn to fit in with them. Despite the proof she'd had, Jamey was still kind of dubious about this whole idea. It was just too good to be true. "Hey, Sarah," she smiled at the girl. Like them or not (and Jamey didn't really know at this point) these were the kids she was going to stick with if she wanted to ever be able to figure this world out.

"Hey, Jamey!" Sarah replied enthusiastically. Perhaps too enthusiastically. The excitement of going to Hogwarts was going to her head. She was practically vibrating in her seat.

"So you met Amethyst? I think you'll like her. She's really cool, and really nice. Also, sometimes she acts like a cat. Which, I think, is part of what makes her cool." Sarah grinned, mostly to herself, "And I, as you already know, am Sarah Oliver. I am the uber-hyper girl who will end up getting on your nerves at some point."

This was true. When Sarah went into hyper mode, she annoyed most people.

"I'm sorry, but I'm sort of having an adrenaline rush right now. I'll calm down in a bit. I'm not so bad, don't worry."

Jamey laughed at the antics of her new friend. Sarah kind of reminded her of her best friend at home. But not really. Her energy matched, but personality and face-wise, they were not really alike. Then she asked the crucial question, "So, did you just find out about this place too?"

Sarah jumped on the train quickly as she wanted to get seat as fast as possible. Since her parents had already said goodbye before sticking her on the Knight bus, she boarded the middle of the train and took the first empty cabin she found. She stowed her trunk and owl cage before quickly changing into her school robes. She wanted students to be able to tell what house she was in easily, as it seemed a decent way to break the ice. Sarah didn't have many friends, as she grew up babysitting her younger siblings for her parents, who were both busy at work most of the time. "Things are going to be different now," she thought to herself. "At least at Hogwarts I will be on my own and I can make some friends." But the dreaded fear of being isolated and completely alone still lingered in the back of her mind. Sarah sat down in her cabin, watching students saying "goodbye's" to their parents and "hello's" to their friends from the window, as she waited for someone noticed her...

Melania wandered down to the middle of the train. She hadn't made any friends yet so she felt really awkward. She looked around aimlessly trying to decide where she should take a seat. A few compartments down, she noticed one was slightly open. She took a peak inside and noticed two girls inside. She looked at them shyly and immediately shifted her eyes as not to make eye contact when they saw her. She was still facing in their direction. "H-Hi there. Do you two mind if I join you?" She hoped she wasn't making a fool of herself.

Sarah grinned, she figured that she and Jamey would get along just fine as long as Jamey could put up her antics.

"Yeah," Sarah said, "I never even knew magic was real until I got my letter. But I've run into a lot of kids who grew up with magic, and I'm pretty sure it's all real. I assume you're a muggleborn too?"

Sarah paused. She really did talk too much...

Jamey turned to look at the new girl. She looked just about as nervous as Jamey felt. As she asked to jion them, Jamey felt a surge of concern for the girl. She was acting super nervous. If there was one thing Jamey knew, it was that you didn't betray emotion. You pretended as if you owned the world if it would keep people from seeing your weaknesses. Her father had always said "Kolie's never look down. Keep your chin up, and you'll do fine." She used that advice, but obviously this poor girl had never received it. Jamey was as nervous as a turkey at thanksgiving, and she understood how this girl felt. So she offered her a bubbly smile. "Sure! Come on in! I'm Jameyson, but you can call me Jamey, or just Jay is fine too." She looked to Sarah for confirmation that this was the correct step. Maybe things worked differently here.
"Muggleborn?" Jamey questioned. She'd already heard the word several times, but still she didn't know what it meant. But thank goodness Sarah was new to this too. At least they could stumble through the first weeks together.

Amethyst panted wildly as she got to the middle train car. She had had a work out getting Sarah and Jamey's luggage into the compartment. She did complian. She needed that workout! Where are they...she thought. As soon as she'd asked the question, she saw familiar Black feathers. "Onyx.." She smiled as jogged, following the feathers. When she reach the opened compartment. "Oh my gosh...I...ran!" She managed to pant out. She noticed a third girl and smiled, leading her into the compartment. "We don't mind! Come on in!" Amethyst smiled, seeing Onyx resting on her backpack full of treats. "You guys hungry?"

Sarah noticed Jamey shoot her an apprehensive look, almost like she was asking permission.

"Absolutely!" Sarah exclaimed, "You're more than welcome. We've got plenty of room. What's your name? I'm Sarah." she smiled, the more the merrier!

"Yeah," Sarah said. "Muggle's are the wizards word for non magic people. When they say 'muggleborn', they mean that you were born to non magic parents but you.re magic. Theres also half blood, mixed blood, and pure blood."

Fallon stumbled through the train, having barely just stepped through the platform as steam began to rise out of the gleaming red contraption. She'd shouted a hasty goodbye to her parents and younger brother through the window, promising to owl them upon her arrival. She began roaming through the hall and came across a nearly empty compartment, save for a girl around her age who was sitting by herself, already dressed in her robes.

She's a Ravenclaw like me! Fallon thought gleefully, after noticing the blue stripped tie. She had been hoping to make friends with someone in her house to sit with at the table.

"Hello!" Fallon greeted happily, knocking on the doorframe to get the girl's attention. "Would you mind terribly if I sat here with you?"

Melania flashed a huge grin as one of the girls started to introduce herself. The girl stated her name along with two nicknames. Melania picked one that she liked and said, "Hi, Jamey. I'm Melania, but I prefer Lana," and extended her hand.

Melania noticed another a girl practically sprint into the compartment. She smiled shyly at the girl and waved. "Hi, I'm Lana." as she put her hand out for a handshake.

Melania was happy that the girls greeted her with open arms. Growing up she didn't really have many friends seeing as her two older brothers were too protective of her. "Nice to meet you Sarah. I'm Lana," she said as she extended her hand once more.

Having lost track of either of the two girls he had met on the platform and no sight of any of the other acquaintance he knew, Gideon got on the train by himself. His trunk pulled behind him and the shrunken cage in his opposite hand, the fourth year boy went in search of a compartment. He wasn't going to be picky as previous years having made deals with himself and his fellow students to be more open to others. Finding an empty one however since the train had only just begun load, the Gryffindor chose it, loading his belongings into the upper carrier before taking a seat by the window. His long legs stretched out in front of him almost reaching the opposite seat.
