Default Aparecium Term 29

OOC: This is ENTIRELY IC. As this is the case, in order for gossip to be posted and for your characters to find out the latest, we NEED people who witness things to owl us on this account so it can be reported on. This is to keep everything canon and IC. Please do not post in this thread, that is for us to do.

How do you get a hold of this magical gossip parchment IC? Well that is entirely up to you and be creative with it! Maybe it's under the Giant Squids tongue or clinging onto one of the many Hogwarts statues.

Exaggerations may be made on this parchment, but do not take these to heart, this is just for fun. Promise. If you are still unsure of what this is, think of it as a Merlin's beard for more personal plotlines, whereas Merlin's beard is dedicated to the school-wide plot. Hope you all read and enjoy!

P.S This has been Ern approved.

As most of you know, I am Athena, goddess of wisdom, strategy, and war, and I feel as if it is my duty to say to you all these few words that you should accept: A secret never last as a secret for long. Returning for another splendid year, it is in my knowledge that it is only inevitable that one of you will make a wrong move, step on a twig to announce your presence, or walk into the wrong part of the battlegrounds, declaring your utmost deepest secrets to the world and of course, I will be there waiting to see and hear everything.

Welcome back to all you readers out there and I would like to give a special warm welcome to those just joining us. Don't worry; I'll keep you in my radar just as much as everyone else is. My eyes are sharp and ears open for the next greatest scandals of the school that will surely be of your enjoyment to read. Some of you may not like it, and I accept that, but it's too bad considering I and everyone else find it rather good gossip. Embrace the fact that people will find out your little secrets eventually, and what better way than here? Secrets can only bring war. Let us bring what's laying in the dark into the light, for only then will we come to terms and bring peace to these battles.

Keep your eyes and ears open. You never know when the Aparecium may appear.

Yours very truly,
Athena

Mysterious as the dark side of the moon, I am Artemis, back yet again for another glorious cycle of illuminating the dark corners and secrets of all my dear Moon Children.

I am Artemis, the bright goddess and nimble speaker. Just like the moon I reign over, I am ever present, ever watching so that, like the huntress I am, I may track your secrets and let slip your whispers.

Remember, dear Moon Children, even the most innocent of doe, with their innocent eyes, harbors a hidden face. Which means none of you are safe from my divine gaze.

It's all moonshine,
Artemis

I am Helios, god of the sun.
I will circle around you everyday
to shine light on all your secrets.
I will make your darkest shadows visible
and enlighten you with knowledge.
Every petty problem will be in broad day light
because from Helios, you can not hide.

My little and not so innocent sweethearts, let me introduce you to your new favorite god: Dionysus. I am the god of wine, parties, festivals and madness. Especially madness. Madness that lies within you and in between many of you in the form of dirty, filthy secrets. Frankly, my sweethearts, they need to be unleashed for all of Hogwarts to see. Because gossip that causes chaos is delicious and everyone should get to taste it. I, Dionysus, am here to help you in just that. You can’t hide, dear sweethearts. My approach is sadistic but I love you all with my forever young heart. In my love, my advice to you all: let the inevitable happen.

- Dionysus

To all you sons and daughters, boys and girls, students and professors let me have the pleasure of introducing myself. I am Poseidon; one of the newest Gods of gossip. I will also be lurking around, watching the devious drama unfold from these castle walls with my fellow Gods and Goddesses, unleashing all your valuable secrets for all your classmates and friends to see. You see, I may be the protector of the sea but I certainly do not protect secrets when they are to be spread.

I am known for being quite unpredictable so who knows when I shall strike Hogwarts with juicy gossip. Oh wait...only I do. *smirks*

Try to find me, if you dare.

Mustaches, Feathers, and Everyday Weirdness

Perhaps an is article overdue, but the craziness that has been going on in the castle already has had me swamped and busy with avoiding them as much as possible. As well as keeping away from the Professors' ever watching gazes. As everyone should have heard by now and if you haven't then bravo to you for somehow pulling that one off the new rules the Professors have set into place have gone over the top of their usual, daily weirdness. Even our own Hogwarts Healer has been sucked into the mission on making sure that we can't get away from even walking through a random corridor without having to follow some ridiculous rule to amuse them.

Is it to amuse them though? Are all these rules some way to make our Professors feel young again? Or is there another reason behind this?

I couldn't help but notice a particular rule down in the dungeons, while on my way to the potions lesson, informing us students that we must wear gloves due to a particular cauldron exploding incident. I myself have never heard of this incident until now, and I can't help but wonder if the Professors have been contaminated, causing them to make up these ridiculous rules: Conjure a mustache and put it on a statue? Give hugs if you pass a particular spot outside? Not being able to speak to a particular Potions mistress unless you have three freshly plucked owl feathers?

Perhaps these professors are fed up with our own rule-breaking and prank filled ways that they're finally having their own fun. On the other hand, perhaps some of these rules are just oozing with revenge. Has anyone ever thought that maybe Professor Lafay would not enjoy all the yelling and stomping we have to do down in the dungeons? Or that Professor McClane may not enjoy the fact that we have to painfully pluck feathers from owls? Not to mention how annoying it could be for our own Headmaster that we now have to sound like a guru meditating on top of a mountain under the wide open sky wishing for the universe to tell us our purpose in life while rubbing the gargoyle's bellies right outside his office whenever we want to speak to him.

Whatever the case is with these Professors, and I myself strongly believe they've been contaminated with something, I, Athena, Goddess of War and Strategy, ask that someone find the cure for our poor Professors! These new rules have gone on long enough in my opinion. The sanity of our Professors, and myself, depends on a cure! I advise you not to bug them too much about it, though. A few of our Professors enjoy point collecting if you know what I mean.

Keep your eyes and ears open,

Athena

Tiny Tots Should NOT Snog

My dear moon children. I come to you with the gravest of news: While we have all welcomed our beloved new students to our great school and truly are lucky to have such an active first year class... I am afraid that this goddess has spotted one too many of our new moon children mooning about things that they ought not to be.

Why, just the other day first year Slytherin Faina Malfoy and fellow first year Ravenclaw Nathaniel Stone were down at the lake SNOGGING. What is this madness, I ask!? We are only little over a month into the term and about to the point where our newest moon children SHOULD be getting adjusted to the school, yet they are already snogging!?

This lake situation only gets more alarming, my beloveds. Gryffindor first year Jordan Macey and Ravenclaw first year Jayden Troutwater were also spotted working together as they attempted to follow the too-young-to-be-in-a-relationship couple. Could it be that these two are jealous? Or perhaps they too are spying to pick up a few tricks for themselves? Clearly, we have two more young moon children that need to have their priorities examined.

I wish that were all, but there is more. In the Transfiguration training room, Hufflepuff first year Minerva Wheatborn was practicing spells when Ravenclaw first year Harvey Watson appeared out of nowhere clearly thinking that the young Hufflepuff hung the moon and stars. FURTHERMORE, in that very same room the same young Ravenclaw from the lake, Troutwater, was seen with another Ravenclaw first year Caelius Ashdown. Has this young lady already broken Macey’s heart? This goddess was under the impression that Ravenclaws studied books and not one another.

If this is the case, Macey is showing no signs of heart break as he is already plotting mischief with fellow Gryffindors Maxwell Evans and Josephine Parker just to see how long they can stay under water. Potions Mistress Lafay, you may want to keep a close eye on your precious potions storeroom. Not only are these two Gryffindors, Evans and Parker, planning on breaking a dozen school rules, they ALSO seem to be over the moon for one another. On top of it all, Macey claims to be shy and somewhat dislike his abilities of being a Metamorphmagus, yet he is agreeing to trying to alter his appearance and impersonate a professor! This goddess in in shock!

I hope that I am not asking for the moon when I say this – which is silly considering that I AM the goddess of the moon – but whatever happened to giving flowers and chocolate and promises you don’t intend to keep to someone that you are CRUSHING on and not professing their love for someone they have known for such a short time?

Perhaps prefects shouldn’t be worried about students being late to class and doing homework, and should instead walk around with spray bottles filled with icy cold water to cool down all these first years?

What is next? Will each of these too-young-to-be-a-couple couples march right up to the Headmaster’s office and request that he perform a wedding ceremony in the Great Hall? Will they reach for the moon and ask Lafay to be their caterer? Invite Professor Bentley to be their flower girl?

Let us all hope that it does not go this far – although I am sure that the Headmaster would look very handsome in priest robes.

It’s all moonshine,
Artemis
