As per the announcement made earlier, the second Charms lesson of the term is to take place, not on the room on the third floor, but in an enclosure in the grounds. This enclosure looks small but is, inside, much larger than a regular classroom. The roof is a mild cream-white and, once you step through the archway that serves as a door, you will see darker desks lining all four walls, leaving most of the space inside the room vacant.
The are large French windows set in each wall, letting light pleasantly flood in. The Professor's desk stands at the front of the classroom, and Jared is standing by it, gloved hands tucked into the pockets of deep black robes, as he waits for the students to start trickling in. Despite the weather outside, the insides of the temporary classroom are pleasantly warm, not too hot but certainly not too cold either.
OOC: Helloooo! Sowwee for the delay. You can RP your charries arriving, but the lesson will probably reaaaally start in five to ten hours. ^__^
Leaning against his desk, Jared turned his attention to the class as a whole. "Today, we're going to practice two charms, both effecting the movement of the target - and both that muggles might find quite useful." If they could use them. Which they couldn't. "Any guesses?"
On the charms. Obviously.

Belle heard the question. She only knew Wingardium leviosa the locomotor spell to help move the target.

Belle saw the soft balls appear on her desk. "woah that is soo cool." she said. She said "immobulus" in her head a few times. "immobulus, immobolos?, no immobulus!." she said sternly. She saw her puffs and flick, flicked and said "immbolos." and nothing happened. "Gah! i said it wrong!" she said. She tried again, flick flick, "Immobulus!" and the ball slowed down a little bit. "Hmm i must concentrate harder.."
"Flick flick then spell" Kyle whispered, biting her lip. She looked at the balls bouncing, it was rather distracting - she lauhged softly. Pointing her wand and flick-flop "darn it" she exclaimed. The balls bouncing faster and faster now.
"Immobulus" she spoke flicking her wand two short times. The balls slowed to the regular speed. "Thats better but not good enough, concentrate concentrate." She whispered.
Third times the charm. She thought hopefully. "Immobulus" she called out strongly - flicking her wand two short times. The balls stopped. Suspended in mid air.
All of a sudden she froze, her body unable to move at all. Someone's spell had hit her.

Giving it a little harder throw, the ball bounce up...and down....and up....and down on her desk.
"Visualize, visualize," she commanded herself as she pointed her wand at the ball. Up...and down....up....and down...
Once she thought she had memorized the timing of the ball, Kurumi gave her wand two quick flicks. "Immobulus!"

The ball's movement was altered by a slight breeze that entered the classroom and her spell missed it by mere centimeters. Frowning a bit, Kurumi then gasped wondering just where her spell had hit. Clearly, seeing as the ball was still bouncing up and down on her desk, she had not immobilized her ball...
Having hit its mark, the bouncing ball landed back onto the desk and continued its bounce-bounce routine. Salander was rubbing the spot on his head, extremely annoyed but relieved that the ball was soft. Goodness knows what he'd be like now had it been a real baseball.
He huffed as he readied his wand again. Just as he flicked he felt something brush against his elbow as he uttered "Immobulus..."
And it froze. No not the ball-- his arm did.
He stared back at his arm, suspended in mid-flick. Wha???

Selina's quill moved fast against her parchment trying to get down every word her Professor uttered. He seemed to be intent on making his class period on the grounds as productive as possible. She could not blame him. Out of all of her classes Charms had seemed to be on a path to infuse fun with fundamentals.
When he instructed that books be put away Selina did so. She then listened to the instructions and watched as a small yellow ball bounced up and down before her. Selina snapped her wrist twice and said the incantation, "Immobulus." Nothing happened. Perhaps her wrist had not flicked enough. So she went for a second go and whipped her wrist in the flick motion. Once that was done she said, "Immobulus!" Again nothing. In a fit of anger she flicked her wrist and shouted "Immobulus!" Then the ball stopped mid-air. She had done it and all it took was a little anger.

Charley slid her books into her bag and grabbed her wand. A smile crept across her face as Professor Descotaux continued; the two charms had been taught to her by her mother and she was confident she'd do perfectly. After the balls appeared in front of her, she froze them midair, then turned to see how Belle was doing.

Right right, Emmaleigh nodded as she jotted down some notes. Freezing charm
-Incantation: Immobulus
-Wand movement: two flicks
Setting her notes aside, she stood up, and with a quick flick of her wrist, her wand came into her left hand. Taking a step back, she practiced the movement a couple of time. When she was ready, she pointed her wand towards the bouncing ball, and with two quick flicks, said Immobolus. The ball, instead of stopping, Began to bounce faster. Sighing, she was just about to try again when she saw Salander moving with his arm stuck out. It seemed rather odd. "Is Everything alright?" she asked.

Emily sighed... the Freezing Charm... she had learnt that one in her second year... five years ago. "Oh Well"...
After taking down a few notes on her parchment she turned to her bouncing ball and picked up her wand. "Doesn't hurt to practice", she said to herself.
*flick flick* "Immobulus"
... her ball froze mid bounce. Brilliant.
She undid the effects of the freezing charm and tried again for good measure.
*flick flick* "Immobulus"
Again she succeeded.
Emily waited for the other students to practice the charm before they could move onto the banishing charm. Emily hadn't tried the Banishing charm before, she had read about it though.

Nika held up her wand and said the spell in her head a couple of times. Immobulus, immobulus, immobulus... She flicked her wand and counted to three silently before muttering "Immobulus" She wasn't surprised when it didn't work. The same thing had happened during transfiguration class. It took her many tries to get it right. But the Gryffindor was determined and never gave up. "Immobulus. Immobulus. Immobulus." Nothing happened. Maybe if she concentrated some more.

She hoped that made sence and she didn't come across as an idiot.
Nika turned her head back to Emily just in time to see her freeze the ball. "Woah. How did you do that?" She thought about her own pathetic tries and looked at her ball, which was still bouncing up and down. "I'm having some serious trouble." Why couldn't she do anything right?

Finally!
Helena put away her book cheerfully, then took her wand out and pointed it to a bouncing ball.
Flick, flick, "Immobulus."
It didn't stop. "Stop... please?" And yes, she was muttering to the ball.
Okay, again. Flick, flick, "Immobulus." It stopped! "Thank you," she whispered, now looking at the frozen ball.
"Charmscientist? Are you sure that's even a word?" Really? Cuz that sounded kinda.... dumb, frankly.
"It's a job," Jared said. The Department of Mysteries had several of those. Charmscientists.

Correction: It is a gentle flick.

Kurumi stood frozen in place. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, in her case this was not because she had been hit by the charm. No, she was in shock that her spell had manage to hit not one but two people. Worst of all, one of those people just happened to be her Slytherin Prince. Could she...go hide in a corner now? Or maybe just run away to the kitchens and bake until morning? Perhaps she needed to make two more batches of "I'm sorry" cookies.
Clutching her wand in her hands, Kurumi rushed over to where Salander and Ravenclaw girl stood. "I'msosorryIdidn'tmeantohityouwiththecharm!" Kurumi said without breathing. She then bowed over and over again. Hopefully they both spoke flustered-Kurumi?

To Kurumi's relief, the Professor appeared and fixed the two. No harm done, right?
"T-T-Thank you, Professor," Kurumi blushed still rather embarrassed about freezing two people. At least she knew that her magic worked, right?

"Immobulus -- just two short flick, flick, then the word, got it" Raven said, before the ready his wand, he now know the secret of magic, intention is essential, the final product is in his mind.
the incantation is simple and easy to say. "Immobulus, Immobulus" Raven say practicing the word without wand movement-
the movement is easy to just flick flick, flick flick, flick flick, as Raven practicing the wand movement.
now for the real one. Raven think of moving ball, he saw it bouncing, he copy the ball movement with his eyes, oh no, I'm a little dissy here. Raven make the wand movement, looking forward to stop the ball, flick flick, "Immobulus" he say, there is nothing happen, the ball still bouncing.
one more, flick flick, "Immobulus" his wand produce an icy like beam, hitting the ball, but the ball is still moving, seem like he do it easy but lack of force or intention.

another try. flick flick "Immobulus" he said loudly, there is again an icy like beam, erupted from Raven's wand, hitting the bouncing ball, but the same the ball is bouncing at more speed than before
"Oh no, you must be stop not move faster" Raven say, his eyes looking to the professor

Cass put away her books, and brought out her wand from its holster and eyed the balls that appeared in front of her. She pointed her wand at one of them and said "Immobulus!" but nothing happened... she eyed her wand doubtfully for a moment, this was her wand, right? and not some random stick from the ground...
Then she tried again "IMMOBULUS!" she cried out, then a flash of light and then a bang then she fell off her chair. OUCH
Nika turned her head back to Emily just in time to see her freeze the ball. "Woah. How did you do that?" She thought about her own pathetic tries and looked at her ball, which was still bouncing up and down. "I'm having some serious trouble." Why couldn't she do anything right?
Emily blushed slightly. "Thanks..." she muttered "Just in my genes I guess."
Flick, flick "Immobulus!" And again the ball froze.
"Try moving your wand with the speed of the ball" Emily suggested. She really wanted to help Nika! "And it helps me if I imagine the ball frozen as I cast it. I do the same thing with 'Incendio'. If I imagine a fire, one usually appears as I cast it."
She hoped she was helping, and not making Nika feel bad. She didn't want to do that to her best friend!

K-Lee made the ball bounce before casting the spell. "Immobulus!" Two wand flicks. The ball had stopped moving, but only because the ball had generally stopped moving.
Second try. "Immobulus!" The ball suddenly started speeding up, bouncing higher than before.
Concentrate K-Lee "Immobulus!" she cast and the ball stopped in mid air, before falling gracefully to the ground.
Finite incantatem. Jared negated the charm on Kyle first, before casting the spell on Salander's arm. There.
"Give it another try, now." He half-smiled.
And just like that, the professor fixed the boy. Well, it seemed like everything was alright, so she turned back to her ball. It was still bouncing faster. Taking a deep breath, she gave two sharp flicks, and said "Immobolus," more forcefully than she had last time. It started bouncing even faster than before, and continued to speed up. She groaned, "What am I doing wrong?" she said aloud.

Alex watched the ball bouncing in front of him, his brown eyes moving up and down and up and down and up and down as he watched it. Hehe. No wonder dogs were always mesmerized by these things, they were fun to watch! But ok, enough distractions. He had work to do.
Pulling out his wand, he loosen his wrist a few times before preparing to start. He pointed at the ball and flicked his wand twice just like the professor had done before shouting the incantation. "Immobulus!" he said, eagerly waiting to see if anything happened. Nothing.
He knew he'd gotten too distracted by the bouncing ball! Now his mind was all jumbled up.
"Immobulus!" he exclaimed again, doing the wand movement once more. For a split second, the ball froze in midair, but it was very brief--if Alex had been blinking at that moment, he'd have missed it. He was making progress!
He flicked his wand again, focusing on the ball and trying with extra care to aim right at it. "Immobulus!" he muttered again. Once again, the ball froze in midair for one...two...three...FOUR seconds before falling! ZOMG how awesome! He knew there was a reason he loved this class.
He may have done a small fist pump into the air to express his excitement. If anyone was actually paying attention to see it.

Lucky. It was in her genes. Anything that ran in Nika's genes would be useless in the wizard world. Well, I guess that's what happens when you're a muggle born. "Okay I will try that," at this point she would take any advice that she could. She needed all of the help she could get.
Her eyes followed the ball as it bounced up and down at her. It was mocking her. Bouncing like there was no tomorrow. Oh, ball you are going to get it. She started to move her wand with the speed of the ball. Up, down, no down, up. No up, down, down up? This wasn't really working to well. Her arms were wildly flapping up and down the air and her head was nodding up and down with the ball as well. This did not look very attractive... "Immobulus!" No... she missed. At least she only hit the table and not Emily. That would be bad. Okay Nika try again."Immobulus!!!" Almost. "Immobulus!!!!" This was going to take a little longer than she expected.

"The incantation for the Freezing Charm is Immobulus." He repeated it. "Invented by an English charmscientist, this charm renders the target immobile. The wand movement is two shorts flicks of the wand." He demonstrated the charm. Flick, flick, incantation. "Go ahead and give it a try on those."
Several small, super soft balls appeared in front of each student, bouncing up and down at a medium sort of speed.
"Here," she said. She looked at Belle gently but sternly. "Look straight at it, and imagine it stopped. That should do it. And don't get frustrated; it will only become harder to concentrate on it if you let yourself."
Belle looked at Charley who was practicing it really well. "Wow you're really good." she said amazed. Belle listened to Charley's advice and looked at it straight and imagined it stopped. She said "Immobulus!" sternly and finally IT STOPPED. "Omg i did it Charley! Did you see that?" she exclaimed pointing at her ball. "Thanks!" she smiled and let out a sigh of relief.

Belle gave her the thumbs up and understood. "Have fun practicing your charm." she said.
On second thought, not just Slytherins. Students here in general. Maybe Helga had helped Salazar build the Chamber of Secrets?
"Not so hard," Jared said, as he shifted his gaze and attention, both, to Mia, to check if she was alright. Seemed so. "It's more of a gentle flick."
Correction: It is a gentle flick.
How.
Embarrassing.
Mia's face had gone bright red and she avoided directed eye contact with the Professor, she looked at a point somewhere over his shoulder. "Right. Gentle flick. Got it."
Now go away so I don't more of a fool of myself.
Waiting until her face and returned to normal and her stomach had settled back down, Mia gave her wand a couple of gentle flicks. "Immobulus." She said with as much confidence as she could muster.
The ball in front of sort of hung in mid air for a moment and Mia had actually thought she ad done it until the ball began to bounce again. She almost wanted to poke the ball with her wand but she managed to remain calm before deciding to try again.
"Immobulus."
Flick.
Flick.
And hey presto. One bouncing ball now frozen in mid air.
Chloe listened to the professor and chuckled as she turned toward the ball on her desk that was bouncing continuously. She heard the spell and now was the time to try it. She took out her wand and flicked it at the ball. "Ha, ha, ha, i mo bu lous", nothing happened. She knew why and she would have to calm down before she was gonna get anywhere but for the moment that was not happening.".
