Lauren had a good day, just before curfew, she went to the library and curled herself into one of the plush chairs and tried to unwind. This was her daily routine. She tucked her bare feet under her thighs and opened her book. It was a romance novel her mother had given her, Lauren loved those novels. The girl who was ignored always got her man.

She smiled at a line in the book and tilted her head, reading quietly.

Fee had found herself a book she wanted to read and wanderd to the reading lounge.
There already was someone.
Well,just ask Fee.
"Hey, i am sorry if i interrupt you but can i sit here?"

Lauren looked up and smiled "Yes you may, chose a seat you'd like and read away." She nodded to the seats all around "We're allowed in everywhere but the restricted section and I wouldn't mind some company." She grinned at the girl.

Finally some quiet time. Margaret had been needing it for too long. In fact, she did not recall the last time she had had some time solely for her own and with nobody to bother her. True, in that library, many were the people who could walk up to her and start talking when talking was the last thing on her mind, but still it seemed that very few were those who were actually feeling like chatting, which she truly appreciated. Perhaps she would be able to find some solace in this place after all. She just hoped that the library would not be full of students once homework begun to be set or she would have to try to find some other quiet place and that could be quite bothersome, as the castle was gigantic, consequently taking it too long for her to find a place to be.

Nevertheless, for now, she could rest and rest she would. And so, with a book in her hands, namely one called Hogwarts, a History (it would be easier for her to dwell there if she knew the enemy territory and its history well enough), she took a seat. Obviously, Margaret was careful enough to pick the one that appeared to be the most hidden one. Well, at least to those who were inside the library already. Who knew if anyone else could find her? Hopefully, not a soul.

Walking along the rows of bookshelves, occasionally stepping over someone's feet, careful not to step on them, Teagan was looking for the perfect place to sit. He had spotted a few places, but they were too far off from the rest of the library population, and he wasn't a solitary guy by nature. Continuing in his search, he soon found... well, not quite what he was looking for, but close. It was a bit uncanny how wherever he went or wherever he looked, there was Margaret. Maybe the universe was trying to tell him something, but what that something was, he didn't know.

"Greetings!" he said as he drew a chair opposite her own and sat down. The next instant he was up again, though. "Not comfy enough..." he smiled as he replaced it with another one. "There, much better," Teagan acknowledged, lifting his body up enough time to get a rather worn-out paperback from his back pocket. He placed it on the small table in front of him. The title, much like the cover page was all worn out from usage, but you could still make it out if you bothered enough: 'The Meta-Equilibrium of Gaia.'

"Whatcha reading?" Teagan asked as he lounged back in his chair, his posture as relaxed as could be.

Merlin, there were things she would rather be reading indeed. After all, many of the things she had read about the current state of the castle, Margaret knew already. Enchanted ceiling, check (she had seen it right away). More subjects than necessary, check (who cared about Muggle Studies?). And that is just a few of the things she had noticed, for there were many more she could point out. Still, she did hope that in the next chapters she would find something interesting. She had to admit, though, that the kind of writing was interesting, which allowed her to keep her interest rate a bit higher than the minimum she required to read.

What she did not require was noise or unwanted company, which popped up by her side too soon. Far too soon. Groaning, Margaret raised the book closer to her face, hoping the alien would go away, but, obviously, he did not. When would he leave her ALONE?!

Not bothering to greet him, she simply sighed a "Hogwarts, a History," before looking from her book with a raised brow. "Do you care to explain why you never seem to give me some space?" Could it be that he was a stalker? Well, he did have the profile for one... He pretended to be nice, tried to speak to her far too much and gave her suggestions when he did not know her one bit,... Yes, he did have a very sound stalker profile. She narrowed her eyes in his direction and straightened up in her seat.

Not phased at all by her less than courteous greeting, Teagan answered her raised brow with a smile. "Not the most interesting introduction, don't you find? I liked 'A Wizard's Guide to Hogwarts' much more. Puts things better into perspective. You should give it a try," he nodded, a bit surprised that she hadn't read 'Hogwarts, A History' yet. Most people went through it before even starting First Year, or at least that's what anecdotal evidence showed him. But he didn't comment on this train of thought in the least; he strayed from anything that could bring about a negative vibe.

And now she was asking him why he didn't give her more space. Good question, that. It sort of tied in nicely with what he had observed for himself before; she always seemed to be everywhere he turned. And he wasn't the type to ignore someone he knew. But that had all been explained before, to no result. "Why, d'you want me to leave?" He had flipped open his book, but now he was ready to shut it again. Teagan looked at her expectantly, not smiling anymore, but just waiting for her verdict serenely.

"Thank you",Fee smiled.
She sat down at one of the comfy looking couch.
"What year are you in?", she asked.

Lilyana walked into the reading corner and smiled.I have a small feeling I'll be spending my time here quite often. She had been wanting to read Hogwarts, A History, but she had never had time to. She actually had some free time, so she looked around, chose a squishy, velvety chair, sat down and began to read.

Cassandra entered the library and looked around, a few faces looked familiar, but she chose not to bother them...this is the library after all. With her a History of Magic book in hand, she sat down on one of the plush arm chairs set around what looks like the library's reading corner. The Slytherin common room had been an unbearable place to read a book, and she needed some peace. She swept her long blond hair to one side, opened the cover and read the first page, oblivious to all that is around her as a soft smile grazed on her small, angelic face.

Josey entered the library with a huge grin that refused to get off her face. She was just so happy to be back at Hogwarts. Though her summer had been pretty awesome! Josey took her book and went to the reading lounge. She plopped down in a chair, it was very confortable, and started reading. She was lost in her own world, completely obvlivious to what was going on around her.

Kel reaaaally needed a new book. He had textbooks, and that was the extent of his book collection. Sigh. But, as he walked through the library, he found a book on the Triwizard Tournament. Curious, he picked it off of the shelf and continued to wander through the library, flipping pages of his book idly. He ended up in the reading lounge, and figuring that he had time to kill, plopped down on a couch and stretch out his legs. He opened the book to its table of contents, and searched the chapters.

Eirian could all but feel her ears perk up as she, hiding behind a Brazilian magazine, head someone sit down on the couch beside her. Feeling the weight of the cushions shift, she peeked over the top, to her left, to see who was sitting beside her. Ooh! Pretty boy! Or... no. Normal boy. She had Thiago to look pretty for her. All the same, she could be friendly... after all, she had made it her duty to save people from - gasp! - the library.

"Ola," Eirian chirped in her little accent, smiling over the magazine written entirely in Portuguese. "What are you reading?" The better question was 'Why are you reading?' but all the same... she wanted to be vaguely nice. After all, this was going to be the best year EVER.

Setting several books besides the chair.He settles in for a long night

Kel jumped when he realized that he wasn't the only one on the couch. He quickly sat up, pulling his feet up so they weren't taking up most of the couch. Sheesh he should pay attention to where he sits. He could've easily sat on her... shudder. That woulda been horrible.

At her question, he closed his book and waved it a bit in the air, shrugging. "I dunno, I just walked by this and grabbed it - it's on the Triwiard Tournament." He sat up a bit straighter, pulling his legs up to his chest. "What... about you?" He looked quickly at the magazine she had, noticing that it was in a different language.

"Oh, I'm Kel, by the way."

"Calm down," Eirian giggled, watching the unknown boy's reaction. "I am a girl, not a gorgon." She wasn't ugly, so it was true. Closing her magazine, she looked over to his book. "Oh... That seems... interesting." Personally, she didn't like anything without pictures. And she had no idea what the Triwizard Tournament was. "I am reading this week's Escrever Cinema," she replied. "It is a muggle magazine about.. movies. I do not know much about them, but I am learning. For a friend." Jay would be so proud of her!

"It is nice to meet you, Kel," Eirian added. "Is that short for anything? My name is Eirian, but you can call me anything you want." Everyone else did, anyway. As far as she knew, it was at least all positive. Not like when she was in Brazil, but she was more known there. Popular, even. Of course she would have people who didn't like her.

Books in tow, Liz sat herself and Pam down on a nice comfy couch. She set the books on the coffee table in front of them and picked one up that didn't look like it might mention any death for Pam. For herself, she picked up the one that looked most likely to mention death, so that Pam wouldn't. Before opening it, she said to Pam, "Look, you don't have to do this. If this is going to make you uncomfortable then I don't want to do it." Her vivid blue eyes searched Pam's face for any and all emotion.

Ah, a reading area, just what Vashti needed. It didn't seem as...quiet as she'd hoped it'd be, but it would have to do. She just needed to read this book she'd found in the library. Hopefully she'd be able to find what she was looking for in here; if not, well, there was always a real-life Healer at the school she could ask.

So after curling up on a nice, comfy armchair, paying little attention to any of the other students in the area, Vashti opened The Healer's Helpmate and began to read.

She smiled. Pam really did love how her friend cared for her.

"Honestly, Liz, it's fine. I mean, yes, death does freak me out, but it's just, these people in these books, are probably already dead, or close to it. But these people here," She gestured around her. "Could be dead in a matter of weeks, and that's what scares me the most." She smiled to her friend.

"So I don't mind. Not at all."

A smile. Some reassuring words. Another smile. Pam passed Liz's test.
"Okay, if you're sure," she said, still watching for a reaction. None. Second test: passed.
She opened up her book and soaked in everything. Wow, it was all really interesting. The records broken, the smart hints, the cheaters, the... death. Yep, Liz was glad she had not given this one to Pam.
"Okay, so there is some death, but it is avoided at ALL costs. They design the trials so that people don't die," but come close to it, "they all die out of their own stupidity," that and fire-breathing dragons, "Nothing to worry about," Probably. Once again, Liz looked Pam over, ready to abandon her book and run to the dormitory as soon as half a tear sprung.

Kel shot the girl a half-smile, half-grimace type of look. She seemed fun - she had a personality, at least. He had no idea what magazine that was, but he didn't read magazines anyway. "I don't know much about movies, either." In addition to his recent move into the muggle world, he had begun to learn more things about muggles, so he could live more normally. So yes, he had discovered movies. And the thing that played them - televisions - although he didn't own any.

"It's short for Keltan," he told her, his eyebrows scrunching together. "It's nice to meet you too, Eirian." he added, smiling at the name. He loved unusual names. They were just so... original! And fun. Unless it was like, Gertrude or something. For some reason, that name made Kel think of old women. And that was NOT good.

Pam started reading the book. She was quite intriged by it. It seemed itneresting. She looked at liz as she talked to her.

She laughed. Liz looked like she was gonna dash any second. "Calm down girl, I'm fine."

Eirian was tempted to make a face back at Kel, but she decided it was best not to mock people she had just met. It was a lesson only recently learned, most unfortunately... "I suppose you would not know anything of Portuguese, either, or I would lend you my magazine," she replied, shrugging apologetically. "With the invasion of French, I feel much less unique than I thought I was. So many foreigners... and their accent is far too similar to mine for my liking!" Why, oh why did they have to come!? She was doing just fine as the only one with fractured English, thank you very much.

"Ooh, I like that," she said, smiling. Keltan... It was unique. Like her name! She wondered if his full name was as cool as hers supposedly was... "Since I do not know... what does that book say about this Triwizard Tournament? It is always a good time to learn when you are in a library, no?"

"Not Portuguese. I know a bit of Spanish, though." Kel said with a shrug. Those were kind of alike, weren't they? Well, Portuguese was spoke in Portugal, which was in South America, where some Spanish-speaking countries were. So, yeah. He was just succeeding in confusing himself. He couldnt help but laugh lightly at her complaints. Sadly, he didn't have a unique accent. You'd think that because he lived in Ireland up to three months ago, he'd have an Irish accent. But no, his was more British. "If it makes you feel better, I think you're accent's cool. I haven't talked to any newcomers yet, either."

Slightly surprised, he thanked Eirian for her comment. Maybe it was just because he lived with it all of his life, and beause it was his father's middle name, but he didn't think 'Keltan' was all that great. Ah, well. At her question, he looked down at the book he was holding. "I'm not sure, to be honest. I haven't actually started reading it." he flipped through the pages again, then looked back at Eirian. "Do you... not know about The Triwizard Tournament?"
