Ellie came in just to look. She was surprised to see that Screech was there! Great! She hurried back to the common room, found some parchment and a pen, and quickly scribbled a note. She tied it to Screech's leg and watched as he went off toward home.

Ivory timidly set foot into the owlery, casting a weary glance overhead. Back home, where pigeons ran amock, it wasn't quite the smartest move to walk under a room full of birds for fear of being well, bombarded by unwelcome falling debris. High in the rafters and on perches and roots everywhere were owls of all sorts, but surprisingly there did not seem to be a bit of droppings anywhere. Marveling at the sheer cleanliness of the tower, she took another step forward.
Oh, how beautiful some were. Like that small elf owl that was nesting on some rafter...and oh the pretty ones near the windows.
For a fleeting moment she wondered if it would've been a better idea to ask for a small owl from her parents, it sure would've fit in better around here, or at least help her to.
A small squawk and flutter of wings made her glance up as the reason for her visit swooped down in a quick dive from the highest rafter. Just when she thought her dear Gavin was going to splat against the floor, he pulled up at the last second and came to rest on her shoulder.
Letting out a sigh of relief, she turned her head as he nuzzled her cheek. She watched as he slowly furled and unfurled his black speckled wings against his snow white body. For a Gyr falcon, he was small for his size but that suited her just fine seeing as she wasn't exactly so tall herself. Coming in at about 4'3", the last thing she needed to worry about was an oversized bird.
As if reading her thoughts, Gavin let out a loud squawk, right in her ear.
"Oh, Gavin. Gosh, don't be upset. You're not oversized..." This obviously seemed to upset him more because he simply squawked again.
"Okay fine...just...well you're perfectly proportioned and exactly the right size?"
He let our a few chirps at that one that caused her to smile.
So what if he wasn't an owl, he was exactly right for her at the moment.

Amy walked into the owlery and went up the twisty stairs. She stood, looking around Charletta in her cage, eventually she found the right perch, close enough to the window so Charletta could get light, but close enough to the floor so that she could stroke her easily, there you are girly, she murmered as she placed her onto the perch

Ty bounded up the stairs towards the owlery, excited to see how his Send was doing. She was only two months old, and Uncle James had given her to him as a gift before he had gone to Hogwarts. She was small, but he said that she was like Ty - she's fierce and feisty. And while Ty didn't think that he was neither fierce nor feisty, he agreed that Send was.
As she spotted him, the elf owl dropped down to him, perching herself in his outstretched hands. "Heya, girl... How're you? You got enough food? You won't believe what happened today, it was the most amazing day ever. I met a ton of professors and they liked me and-" Ty had been on a roll, but stopped as he saw that she wasn't her usual strong self.
Plus, her wing was all bent the wrong way. Frowning, Ty touched it gingerly with his free hand and gasped as she hooted in pain. "SEND?!?!?! What happened to you?" his eyes widened and he bit his lip, looking around as he expected someone to tell him what to do.
Seeing nothing, he made up his mind and began to run down the stairs, intending on going to the Care of Magical Creatures professor - maybe SHE would know what to do!

Alcemee walked into the Owlery to visit her barn owl, Pearl. Pearl, who was rarely kept in a cage, flew over to Alcemee as soon as she saw her. Pearl landed on Alcemee's arm, and Alcemee started petting her while looking around at the other people and owls that were here.

Kate was amazed by the amount of owls in that place. She loves dogs but never in her life thought that a person (wizard) could make a bond with an own. But there she is, walking through the Owlery, looking forward hers.
"Hi cutie!" She said to a tiny, white owl "you are precious" She whispered
"awww and you are beautiful too sweety...and look at you, your so cute too!" She said to a big mottled owl.
And she found hers, Berry. She was small, white and light-brown and quiet "Hi sweety" Kate said to her, caressing her "I´ve missed you, baby" She knew she looked crazy talking to her Owl, but she always had a special connection with animals.
