Located at the center of all of the job fair booths is the Professional Quidditch booth decorated in rich forest green and gold, matching the banner that glimmers overhead. Pamphlets [2] and buttons are arranged neatly on the table which is run by two Hogwarts alumni-turned-professional Quidditch players, Kayleen Harrison and Clifford Carden. After you pick up your pamphlet and limited edition British & Irish League, feel free to ask questions and even autographs!

Rafe couldn't be more excited. He may be quite a few years away from his dream, but the dream was still there nonetheless. Rafe darted straight for the Quidditch table decked out in forest green. Wow, and alumni were there. They'd been there they'd make it happen. These certainly were the people he wanted to talked to. He immediately picked up a pamphlet and began scanning over it...and the picture of Viktor Krum immediately caught his eye, "Wow!" he exclaimed. "I never thought of trying out while you're still at school!" Rafe thought of how awesome it would be to play professionally and still went to school. Still, that was still a few years away. "Hmm..." he said as he looked at the flashy buttons. None of those were his favorite, but still interesting.

DUUUUUUDE.

This was so freakin' WEIRD. Being back here. Here at Hogwarts as a grown-up!! Not a wannabe manly man.. but a REAL manly man. Would it be too inappropriate to rawr? Heh, he thought so. And he didn't want to get on Kayleen's nerves.

She scared him a little.

Which was why he was grateful when someone approached the booth as it gave him an excuse to get away!! Sort of anyway. "Interested in playing the beautiful sport, are you?" Clifford asked with a grin, leaning on the table. All he had to do was talk Quidditch, Quidditch, Quidditch.

HEAVEN.

"Are you kidding?! It's only like my dream!" Rafe said with smile to the alumni. "I mean, it's better than breathing right?" Rafe was in awe of the dude. This guy was a professional. "So when did you get your big break?" he asked curiously. It certainly seemed different for a lot of people. Jack, his old captain, got accept before he even graduated, but the truth was not everyone was that lucky.

"Right!" Clifford exclaimed, bursting full of enthusiasm when the kid said it was better than breathing. So, SOOO true that was. There wasn't anything better than playing Quidditch. Not even all the sausages in the world.

"The year after I left Hogwarts," he carried on, head probably swelling twice it's regular size with pride. He didn't care. This was his time to SHINE and show off. HAH. "I got offered a space on the reserve team for the Falcons and made the first team just this year." He gave a nod in Kayleen's direction, before continuing, "she's been playing for ages though.. she's old."

Had he said that out loud?

Kevin was walking about the great hall when he saw a stand for professional qudditch he made his way over and picked up the pamphlets and the buttons he was excited as this was the sport he was going to play when he graduated in a couple of years

"It's like physically demanding to stop thinking about Quidditch," Rafe said slightly exaggerating. Of course he could think of other things...though at the moment his mind was at a blank. Well, not a complete blank, it was actually focused on the most amazing sport ever.

"Wow, that's pretty impressive," Rafe said with his eyes wide. So in like 5 or 6 years he could be were this guy was. "So, let's face it... school is kind of a bore. How do you get through it and not just go for the big leagues?" Rafe was extremely curious to here his answer. He certainly would much rather be flying all the time, them sitting in boring lectures.

Rafe looked over at who the guy was talking about. She had been playing for ages? He certainly found that hard to believe given how young she looked.

Still grinning, Clifford watched as someone helped themselves to one of the flashy badges. He hoped they didn't run out because HE wanted one for hiimself. Maybe... maybe he could just snag one? Hm.


The mega Quidditch fanatic soon had his attention once more though, and the grin Clifford was wearing grew wider. Somehow. He'd been called IMPRESSIVE. Heck, yeah!!

"I heard that's pretty rare," Clifford explained, tapping the old photo of Viktor Krum as he spoke, "y'know, for a kid that age to actually make it big." And with the training sessions he'd been put through - REALLY put through his paces - he understood why. "School's a good time to get a lot of practice in.. I figure you play for your house team?"

Kevin was looking through the pamplet reading the bit about Viktor Krum and was like impressed that he was playing during his time at school and he knew that he would have to be picked early to become the best, Kevin turned around to hear voices and saw a fellow student talking to one of the professonals and his jaw just about dropped to the floor

Rafe's smile wasn't as glowing as it once was with the 'pretty rare' comment. It was true, but at the same time, the thought was very exciting. "Well, it's still the thought that counts," Rafe said a little solemnly.

Using school for practice..."Hmm, you do got a point! I never thought of seizing the opportunity to play Quidditch as practice. Plus, I'm sure it's a great way to get recognized and scouted out right!?" This definitely gave Rafe a new reason to stick with the whole school thing.

"And I play Keeper on the Gryffindor team! Well, for the past two terms...I'm hoping to keep it up. The name's Rafe Lycaon," he said as he held out his hand. This was certainly a great opportunity for social networking. He'd need to know people in all sorts of positions. "So what do you like most about your newfound fame? The attention? The adrenaline rush? The girls?" He couldn't help, but laugh at the thought of all the amenities that would eventually come with becoming a Quidditch star.

...??

Clifford blinked a little. And then a little bit more.

"You know, I did that once.." he commented, pointing at the open mouth, "and I caught a FLY. True story." He'd skip the part about giving it a little nibble. Flies were actually pretty tasty.


Giving Rafe's hand a shake, Clifford thought it best to introduce himself too, "Nice to meet ya, Rafe.. Clifford Carden. And sure! All that playing you do for Hogwarts? That's all practice, ain't it!? I played for Slytherin all seven terms I was here, and look where I am today?" Yes, more showing off. So what? He was ALLOWED.

When the kid asked what he liked most about his newfound fame, Clifford tilted his head to one side, clearly deep in thought for a few seconds. The answer to that question..?

"Dude, EVERYTHING. The whole package!" Ohhh yes. The whole being a Quidditch player thing? It was all totally AWESOME. "I mean, the best part is doing the thing you love most as an actual job. Getting payed to fly and play Quidditch." What could possibly be better than that!?

Kevin closed his mouth and said "Really i best watch for fly's then, my name is Kevin McKay and i am graduating in a couple of years but i already have tryouts lined up for a few teams next summer"

Jackie walks into the first job that she saw. It was professional Quidditch. She loved Quidditch and maybe this would be a good job for her. She looks around and takes a pamphlet and button.

Ellie then found the Quidditch table. Hmm... She never thought of Quidditch as a career before.... She grabbed a pamphlet and flipped through it, waiting for some speech or something...

Personally, Clifford would've kept his mouth open and let the flies get caught in their all day. It was a much easier way of eating.. and he was sure flies were nutritious.

Still, he was here for QUIDDITCH, not fly munching. "Sweet!" Clifford exclaimed enthusiastically, "what teams are you interested in?"


Two smaller looking girls had seemed to find the table, and Clifford watched them curiously for a moment, wondering if they'd gotten lost or something. Not that girls couldn't play Quidditch or anything! Ahem.

He glanced at Kayleen who was MANning the booth with him before turning back to the girls. "Uh. 'Sup?" Good one, Carden.

Wow, Rafe was shaking hands with a professional, and an earnest one at that. "And practice makes perfection," Rafe felt like he was just enlightened. Like he had a whole different purpose of being at school now. "Wow, man you certainly have wisdom for being so young!" Rafe was completely ecstatic. "I suppose I should ask for you're autograph," Rafe said as he began searching his robes for a spare quill, and then he whipped a quill out with the feather torn and bent. "I mean if you don't mind," Rafe said slightly embarassed. "You're way cooler than that McKenzie git!" Rafe laughed.

"EXACTLY!" Rafe exclaimed about Clifford's last comment. "I mean there's all these other jobs Herbologists...Aurors...but that's just not as exciting as the wind in your hair, the sound of the crowd chanting your name, and that camaraderie of having each other!" Rafe totally understood where this bloke was coming from. Rafe could only dream of being in this dude's shoes one day.

"Hello," Jackie said brightly. She hoped that this guy was good at explaining she wanted to learn more about Professional Quidditch. "About what age do people start Professional Quidditch?" she asked.

This guy seemed like he had what it took to be a pro Quidditch player. See, you had to have this ... this SPARK. And Rafe deffo seemed to have it. Sure, Clifford hadn't seen his skills on the pitch, but he clearly had the love for the sport. That was just as important in Clifford's opinion.

"Colin MacKenzie has his head shoved waaaay to far up his own..." With a small cough and splutter, Clifford gladly took the ruffled up quill and found a spare piece of parchment. He was signing autographs. SO COOL, MAN. He scribbled a little message -'Hope to see you on the pitch soon, Rafe dude. Clifford Carden.' - and with a grin, handed the parchment back.

"Seriously, Quidditch beats any other career out there." Not that he was dissing all the other booths around.. but it totally did.


He then turned his smile to the small girl who had piped up with a question. "I'd say around my own age is a good time to start," he answered with a nod and quickly added, "I'm almost twenty-one." MAAAAN, he'd gotten old! But anyways..

"See, that leaves you plenty of time to build up your skills and get in some practice.. but you're still young and fit!" Perfect.

"Didn't Viktor Krum start before he was 18?" Jackie asks. "Do many people start that early." Around 21, he probably thought she was a first year. But, really she was 13 and in her second year. Well she was small for her age most people are at least five feet plus. She was just about four, eleven.

"You're right, he did." Clifford agreed with another nod, "but like I was just saying to Rafe over there," he said, nodding toward the Gryffindor Keeper, "it's pretty rare for players to start off that young. Krum was a legend." And probably dumber than Clifford himself, seeing as he must've missed a ton of school. Hah.

QUIDDIIIIIIITCH! Like WHOA.

Miranda made a direct, no nonsense beeline towards the Quidditch...thingy, and was all about going grabby hands with the pamphlets and the buttons. Hehe!

Someone was talking, and Miranda didn't pay much attention to it, being too concentrated on the reading of said pamphlet! But...that voice...she had heard that before. Looking up, she found herself gawking at the person before her. "Clifford?"

Ooooooooooooooooooh, it was him!
Aw, would he remember her? And the muggle pen he had given her? She wanted to like, go hug him. Emotional much? Gosh...he had graduated such a long time ago, it seemed.

Brant Ran up. He was so excited.

"HEY!, Rafe" he said while noticing him. "Whos that guy over there?" he asked Rafe.

"I thought it was," Jackie says with a laugh. "What position do you play?" I ask wondering. "I'm trying out for chaser or seeker. I've played both, but I'm not sure what my favorite is. I missed out on tryouts last year because I was in the Hospital Wing after I broke my arm the previous day practicing."

Simon looked around, he was wondered when people started to train to be a Professonal Quidditch Player, he was hoping maybe he could become one but if not he would have to think of something else, but he still had ages to decided so he just thought he would check everyone of the booths out.
