Outside Professor Kingsley's office door, a small bench and table sit up against the wall. On the table sits a stack of small pieces of parchment and a self-inking quill, should students wish to leave a note instead.

Though Professor Kingsley's office door is often closed, he is happy to invite students in. Please knock and have a seat, and he will be with you shortly!

Celandine approached the Transfiguration office almost marching. She was DETERMINED this term, her final year, to get stuff sorted.

She knocked on the door, forgetting herself long enough to rap out a little ditty with her knuckles.

Preston walked down the corridor to his office, intent on taking some time to write a letter to Eleanor, when he saw someone already at his door. He drew to a stop behind her after she rapped on his door rather colorfully.

"A bit eager, miss?" He smiled as he walked past her and opened the door. "Do come in."

"Thank you sir." Celandine tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and followed the professor inside.

Well, there was no time like the presence to get to know the new professors. Plus, he had a particular interest in Transfiguration...well, sort of. Just in one area really. He knocked on the door quietly then waited patiently in the corridor.

Carter had woken up a bit late. But he still made it before Rafe was let in. "Hey. Sorry I'm late. Ready for this?" he asked. He wondered how the new professor would react to their questions.

"Not late at all, I just knocked," Rafe said nervously. Rafe took in a deep breath, "I think so. I mean it never hurts to ask right?" Rafe didn't know how this professor would react to all the questions. He'd heard stories from the Voldemort, then Harry Potter days of asking professors questions, and them not going to well.

A voice carried out clearly through the heavy door.

"Just a moment. Please have a seat."

Jake didn't know what he was doing here, but he thought he might be investigating the fresh meat new teachers. The boy rapped loudly enough on the door for it to be clear that he wasn't exactly skipping for joy out here, and then went to take a seat to wait.

Oh how he loved these introduction times.

Not.

The door opened, and Professor Kingsley stood in the threshold, more than a little surprised to find three students outside.

"You may all come in together, unless there is reason you feel you need a private audience?" Preston looked from one face to another, curious as to the nature of their visits.

"Please close the door behind you," he said, adjusting his cuffs as he reentered the room.

Standing back up again, Jake spun on his heel to enter the office in question, kind of taken aback by the, errr... clothes? Is that what they were?

Hmph.

He was new.

So Jake didn't like him.

Rae walked into the corridor along her professor's office. She was still kicking herself for the promise she made herself about making herself actually noticed this year and doing well in her classes. She was sure that the professors would never recognize her for she always kept in the shadows. Well this year is a different year. She knocked on the door, preparing to introduce herself, this was the first professor she was seeing 'cause this happened to be one of her favorite subjects. She slid down the wall to where she was sitting on he floor waiting to be let into the office.

Poking his head out of the door, Jake looked around some before spotting a girl on the floor. He still had the scowl on his face and so didn't seem like the friendliest of kids.

"Hhhe said cuhh-come in or yuhh-you're in t-t-trouble."

Tehehehe.

Trixie appeared at the door of the transfiguration proffessor. She was still on her rounds around the school. Stopping by to talk to every professor that there was. A matter that was considered only polite by the people who had taught her in Beauxbatons. Transfiguration was one of her favourite subjects considering it was one of the lessons primarily taught and focused upon in beauxbatons. As she arrived at the door she knocked twice, politely and patiently awaited an answer.

Victoria was going to her Transfiguration professor because she has been studying all summer holiday and she still wanted to be a animagus. She knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

Cautiously Amy walked into the hall, she saw the proffessors door and knocked on it, hoping he would be in, then she sat down opposite the door, breathing heavily, her nerves high again

A voice carries through the door which has opened and closed with the comings and goings of students. "If you have knocked," the voice can be heard saying, "then please come in and have a seat."

Well.

Here she was.

The Gryffindor knocked lightly on the door, then sat down on the bench next to it, hands clasped gently in her lap, as she waited for Professor Kingsley to call her in. She had stuff to discuss with him.

In peace, hopefully - she knew it wasn't likely that the office would be empty, at this time of the year. New students always seemed to flood the offices, early in the term, in an effort to get to know the teachers.

Well, Gold could wait.

Dianna finally managed to find the Transfiguration Office and knocking on the door twice before she sat down on the small bench.

"Just one small question, that's all" she said to herself.

Preston popped into the hallway quickly, noticing two more students on his bench.

"Hello, ladies. I have some other students in my office at the moment, but you are welcome to come in. If you need a private audience, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until I've talked to the others, but do come and wait inside."

Preston smiled before turning and headings back into the office, leaving the door open for them to follow.

Rafe read the books a lot quicker than he thought he would. They were all really fascinating. Self-Made Marsupial by Koa Walla and An American Perspective: To Bee or Not To Bee by Buzz Wright were pretty easy to get through because it was from their perspective. It was the last one, Theoretical Transfiguration: Principles and Laws. A Primer. Volume One - Voluntary Human Transformations by Theosophilus Moretti, that got all technical. It was all theory and very fascinating, but only got Rafe so far. He wanted details.

He knocked on the door and took a seat. He didn't have the books with him beause he leant then Carter when he was finished. This was visit he wanted to make on his own and ask a little more personal questions.

Professor Kingsley's voice rang out clearly in the call.

"Come in."

Rafe practically stomped out of the office. He didn't know if he was mad or just...

He knew he was in the wrong and being totally disrespectful. If he didn't change his attitude like the professor asked, he certainly wouldn't get the answers he wanted. So he paced back and forth a few times and took a few deep breaths and knocked on the door again.

The response was delayed. Several minutes passed before an even-toned voice passed through the door.

"Enter."

Finally.

Destiny leaned against the wall outside of..someone's office holding her tray of cupcakes. She was not pleased with the Charms homework, but, if she wanted to win the housecup, she had to do it. Sure, she could have given a cupcake to Evelyn, but what was the fun in that? Her friend had helped make them after all.

Pushing herself off the wall, she moved closer to the door. Hmm..

*Knock knock knock*

Hopefully this wasn't the office of that creepy Professor at the start of term feast.
