Have a passion for food? Then you're in the right place! Chefs and co-authors of the book 101 Magical Muffins, Cosmic Cupcakes and Decadent Desserts, Denny De Palma (AmbiguouslyMe) and Leo Baccus (Jack Mannequin) are at your service!
Take a look at the pamphlets, graciously provided by the Wizarding Culinary Institute (outside, inside) and ask the gentlemen any questions you may have.
Try a sample of some of the food they've provided, but take care. This food has some interesting effects! Little tent signs indicate what the food is, and what it does. One sample, each! Sample sizes are one bite.

Also on display is a copy of their cookbook, and a stack of free recipe cards for you to try your own hand and whipping up these magical delights here at Hogwarts. Take one, two or all three! Warning: DO NOT attempt these recipes in a Muggle Kitchen!

Can-Can Creme Brulee
Ingredients:
450 mL cream
50g sugar
1g salt
5 mL vanilla
3 egg yolks
50 g sugar
Directions:
Mix the cream, first 50g of sugar and salt together and heat thoroughly. You may do this either over a flame or with a heating charm.
Separately, mix the egg yolks, vanilla and
Add the heated cream, etc, to the egg mixture.
While stirring, cast Tarantellegra Can-Can on the mixture. (If you'd prefer not to impulsively dance, you may omit this step).
Cook until set, using either a traditional oven or charm, and then chill.
Sprinkle remaining sugar on top and torch with a weak, controlled incendio.

Full Meal Muffins Can't decide what you want to eat? Eat it all in one bite!
Begin with any standard, plain muffin recipe with the base flavor you would like. This will depend largely on your selections for the rest of the meal.
While mixing your batter, cast gradus flavor (with emphasis on the OR syllable) which allows you to layer the flavors and experience them on at a time, instead of a mush. Cast between each addition, up to five.
How you prepare your items is up to you, though they should be small enough to incorporate easily into the batter. A little goes a long way.
Bake standard in an oven.
Quote:
Drowsy Donuts Having trouble falling asleep? These won't knock you out, but they'll help you get there!
Ingredients:
310 g flour
100 g white sugar
10 g baking powder
3 g salt
250 ml milk
1 egg, beaten
50 g butter, melted and cooled
10 ml vanilla
1 g valerian root
Instructions:
Combine all but milk, egg, vanilla, butter and valerian in a bowl. Set aside.
Combine egg, butter and valerian and heat slightly, infusing the liquid with the properties of the root.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet and mix until dough comes together.
Separate dough into equal sized balls, no bigger than a snitch. Shape by hand or by charm, into donut shapes or leave as is for donut holes!
Fritus will take all the mess out of frying, and you'll have crispy, fresh donuts without the mess of oil!
Let air-cool.
Finally, try your hand at creating your own delicious morsel. A station is set up for you to experiment with flavor - though Misters De Palma and Baccus will be supervising very closely. Try your hand at creating the next big craze!
SPOILER!!: Experimentation station ingredients
Ice Cream Station
Plain ice cream 'base'
Tray of sweet and savory flavors, already prepared and ready for mixing
Wizard candies, for mixing in, or topping
(Mostly) Muggle Candy Station
Vats of melted milk, dark, and white chocolate
Molds
Vials of various flavorings, both muggle and wizard
Sprinkles
Nuts
Gummy candies
Stick around! With Denny and Leo, there's sure to be some hilarity here!
Selena's eyes went wide. Food! And they looked amazing! Selena was insanely jealous, how did they not blow up the place first? Selena would figure that out... after she looked at the pretty pamphlets...
"Well, helllloooooooo there," Denny piped up at the young girl, tray of the can-can creme brulee samples in his hand.
Merlin, this was exciting. Denny gave a little hop as he set down the tray near the sign.
"Let me know if you have any questions. That's why we're here!" Denny leaned down a bit to whisper to her. "But ask me, ok. He's.. not as much fun." He gave an exaggerated wink and pointed back at Leo. So seeeerious, Leo.
Not Denny.
Nope nope.

Torin might have died and gone to heaven. This place was the ultimate. He couldn't believe it. He was going to go to this Institute if it was the last thing he did.
He picked up a pamphlet and started looking at it. This would give him more skills with Wizarding cooking. He already knew so much about Muggle cooking as it was.

Munching on a peanut butter and jelly crisp from the friendly guy at the Entrepreneur booth, Fletcher allowed his nose to lead him to the next job table. And it just so happened to be Careers in Culinary Arts.
"Mmm YES I LOVE FOOD," he mumbled to himself as he picked up a pamphlet. "Now what? Hmm, how about sampling some cupcaaaaaAAAAAaaaaaaaAaaaaAaaaaaAAAAAAkessssss?!"
This was clearly THE booth to be at. Were those two dudes there really Wizard Chefs?!

Selena giggled at the man's attitude. It seemed like he had downed a box of sugar. "Actually, I was wondering how you don't blow things up when you make it," Selena admitted. Hahhaa. This guy was coool. The other guy did seem a bit too serious. Maybe he needed a can-can creme brulee...

Leo scowled at his partner's comment. He was less than happy to be partnered up with the loony Denny once again, but as they had been told by their editor, it would be good for book sales.
He straightened up all the little things on their table and saw one boy (Squishy) looking rather thrilled to be there as he read over a pamphlet.
"Hello there, young man. Have you taken an interest in the Culinary Arts? If you have an questions about anything you see here, do let me know." Leo said, giving the young man a smile, perhaps forced, but a smile nonetheless.

Denny gave a huge grin. "Well, I love food too! I suppose it is a very good thing to love food, don't you think?"
Denny picked up a sample of the creme brulee and held it out to the boy. "We don't have cupcakes, but we do have.. THIS." Denny's lips curled into a mischevious grin.
If the boy hadn't read the tent sign, the effects would certainly be interesting.

"My dear! Blowing things up is HALF THE FUN!" Denny clapped his hands together, thinking about the last time he'd poofed a whole batch of experimental elephant eclairs in the test kitchen. Pure excitement!
Settling a bit, he pondered. "Though, I suppose if you don't want to blow things up, the best advice I have is practice."

"I'm very interested. So how high do your scores have to be in Potions and Charms? Does it matter as long as they are decent?" Because he was pretty good at both classes, especially Charms.

"Cheyea, like I think I have a real passion for eating, man. And Hogwarts is THE place to do it, thus far, cuz we have a buffet and a feast at every meal it seems and the House Elves are some pretty awesome cooks. They let me have a whole pizza to myself the other day."
Fletcher nodded quite seriously and paused to take a breath in his rambling. Whoa, whoa this obviously WAS THE BEST table because here this world-famous cupcake author was handing him some food! FREE SAMPLES FREE SAMPLES!
No warning bulb went off in this boy's head. Heh. He eagerly accepted the creme brulee with a grin and stuffed it into his mouth, whole. Fletcher started chewing and nodding appreciatively.
"Tis berry berry wiiight and fufffy," he told the man. "And kind...a... I gots dis urrrge to... tooooo....."
Fletcher swallowed and his eyes seemed to bulge out as his legs started dancing and kicking to the can-can all on their own. His arms even started to swirl an invisible skirt around. The boy danced right over to Torin Kane and grabbed onto the boy's shoulder, still kicking and dancing the can-can as if he was a Radio City Rockette.
"Oh I get it," he called out, watching his own legs display an air of flexibility that would surely hurt later, "they're MAGIC samples! HA! AWESOME!"

Selena giggled as she saw the boy dance to the can-can. "Do those legs go up any higher?" Selena giggled. She wondered if the boy would go exactly 180 degrees.

"Well I'd have to say that there are no N.E.W.T. requirements for learning how to make the desserts we do. But of course, if you don't have a bit of knowledge concerning both subjects, your end results will fail." Leo explained.
The young man glanced over to the dancing boy and smirked. "Now that is one of our specialities." Leo handed the boy a card to read. "Can-Can Creme Brulee. If you ever have the need to start dancing like the can-can dancers of France, well that is the dessert for you. And if you'd rather just have the Creme Brulee, as it's labelled on the card, you just skip the step that requires one to put the dancing spell on the dessert and it won't be added."
Leo glanced over to Denny trying to get him to notice that he was being helpful, and nice to all the little students that were visiting him. He'd even test out some of the desserts later, once more people came to the table.
"It is definitely fun!" Selena grinned. Somebody who understood why things blowing up were awesome! Practice, Selena had tried... every time something had exploded... "So, how do you decide what to make? Like creating new recipes?" Selena asked.
Ooohh. Hmmmm. How DID Denny De Palma come up with all his decadent desserts and electrifying entrees?
"Inspiration, my dear. From nearly anything!" His eyes darted around the booth, settling on a simple silver spoon.
"Like this spoon!" He grabbed it and held it up dramatically. "Sometimes... I like to hang spoons from my nose!" And so he did. Balancing it there, he continued to talk to her. "And so maybe it would be easier to hang a spoon if my nose were bigger. And then, voila! An idea for something new!"
He gave a small turn, spoon swinging wildly. "Imagination, inspiration, perspiration. That's what makes good food."

And the evidence was right there! "Indeed! Marvelously magical!" Denny clapped his hands, and laughed heartily as the boy danced around.
That was certainly one of Denny's favorites.

Later.

He nodded happily. That was good. Because he was great at Charms and almost as good at Potions really. So there was no way he wouldn't have the requirements. "What about location?" Because he didn't really want to go too far from London.

Apprenticeships and locations.
"Will do Denny!" Leo called back, rolling his eyes at the man. There really was no need to shout.
"Right. So, Mister DePalma wants me to mention that he is having apprenticeships at his restaurant. There is also a Muggle immersion programme which gives you students the opportunity to go out and work in a Muggle restaurant." he watched to see the boy's reaction and then continued.
"As for your question, there are locations for the Institute is in London, Paris, Hyde Park, NY, and Rome. All fine cities to be in, and great food to work with."
Leo smiled genuinely this time, thinking of all the time he spent in Paris; his favorite of the cities.

He was loving this. Apprenticeships. He wanted to do one of those. And Muggle Immersion? "Well, I'm Muggleborn, so I would be rather good at that. What's better though? That or the Apprenticeships?" He was asking like a million questions, but he couldn't help it. He wanted to know all this because it involved his future.
"Are they all the same across locations? Or are some facilities better than others?" Because he would love to go to either NY or Paris.

"Hmmmm, well if you want to work with the Muggle recipes more, which is very rigorous in and of itself, you can go for that. But if you'd rather have loads of fun and work with spells along with food you might like the apprenticeships more." Leo explained. In his opinion, working with Muggles was a good experience but this boy seemed to know what it was like to be around them all the time.

Oh, whew! Good thing the charmed creme brulee wore off because Fletcher's legs were getting tired of all the dancing and kicking. Who knew the can-can was such a high-energy routine?!

Hmm. This was a bit of a hard decision to make. He wasn't positive about what he wanted to do. But he sorta had an idea. "Well, I want to work with Muggle things mostly, but I'm already good at that. So I think maybe the apprenticeship would be batter for me."
Paris was nice, but he wasn't really sure he wanted to go there. He was torn between Paris and New York. "What about New York? What do they specialize in?"
He looked at the samples. "I take it that you don't have anything sugar free?" He really should be good about that. He didn't want to upset Brody about anything. She worried.

Denny chuckled, watching the boy's dance come to a stop. "Hooooboy, that never gets old." Reaching behind the table, he grabbed a paper cup and filled it with water from his wand. "There you go."
He turned then, to the curious young lady.

"So you wanna know how simple old Denny De Palma became a famous chef and author, huh?" Well, no, that's not exactly what she asked, he knew. But, well, this was a better story!
He crouched down so that he was at eye level and whispered conspiratorily. "Why do you mix yourself up something yuuuummmmy," he said pointing to the ice cream and candy stations. "And I'll tell you alllllll abou it."

"Uhmm..." Selena said hesitantly. It would be quite rudeto abandon her host like that... but look at the delicious ice cream!! AND CANDY!! "I really shouldn't be eating to much sugar..." Selena said meekly. THe chocolate chip waffled with whipped cream and chocolate fudge was begging for company... How about those peanut buttered waffles? Gah... but it looked so good... "I had a big breakfast..." Selena said but her voice trailed off at the end. "Eh, why not," she said as she reached over. She looked at it. Now... which one should she choose?
Selena shook her head. No. Ice cream was bad for her!! Besides, Selena couldn't have too much sweets. The chocolate in her pocket begged to differ. Selena sighed. She took one healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream. But it would get lonely! So she drizzled dark chocolate onto it. It would balance out the flavours a bit. She sprinkled some of those colourful candies onto it. Gahh. It looked so empty. So Selena dropped several gummy bears and drizzled it in white chocolate. What the heck? It wouldn't be that bad? Selena placed another scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or else it'd get too sweet. She placed on it some more dark chocolate. After all, Selena did love her chocolate. Selena grinned at it. Nah. It was missing something... She plopped into it some muggle jellybeans. Now it looked good. But should she really be eating it?
"Thanks," Selena said happily to the oter guy who had seemed quite boring. "So, are you going to tell me about him now?" Selena asked.
