OOC: Before posting in this thread, you must first have been called back by Healer Ashford. To be seen by the Healer, please post in the Check-in Area for Patients first then in the Waiting Room for Patients and Visitors.

Upon entering the Hospital Ward and Healing Area (either on foot or via mobilicorpus‎), you'll come upon a long hallway that eventually forks into two different directions. You'll want to proceed to the right, the direction that will take you to the Healing Area. Healer Ashford will be waiting for you. It is in the Healing Area that you'll receive the medical attention that will hopefully heal you right away and send you back to classes and your everyday life.

If, however, you aren't able to be healed right away and your character is in a rather serious condition, Healer Ashford will escort you (or utilize mobilicorpus‎) to the Hospital Ward. It is in the Hospital Ward where you will receive further medical attention that will surely heal you and get you back on your feet.

OOC: Once your character is seen and tended to, Healer Ashford will deem them "well" and able to return to classes/everyday life. If your character continues to suffer from repeat conditions, it's likely that he or she will be admitted into the Room for Quarantined Patients. If this happens, you will be temporarily placed in the "Quarantined" user group, and your posting in the school will be temporarily limited to the "Quarantined" thread only.

Constantine raised an eyebrow as the Healer levitated Miles right off his shoulder. A warning could have been nice. With a sigh and shrug, Constantine followed the new healer person into the Healing Area. "It's really not that complicated. Monkey Boy fell from the jungle gym. I'm sure Miss Allister would be more than kid to give a complete recount of the event."

"I do apologize for not warning you of what I intended to do," Gabriella said, glancing towards the groundskeeper as she continued on to the healing area. She hadn't intended to levitate the young man right off his shoulders. She'd just been caught up in the chaotic moment and taken what she'd seen to be the quickest possible action. She made a mental note to take things step by step from here on out. "Jungle gym accident, right. I always like to ask just in case there are any extras I need to know."

Gabriella geared the injured boy to the right and into the healing area. Once he was properly lying down, Gabriella began inspecting him, searching for broken bones, punctured organs, or any other serious condition that may have arose.

Fia followed in behind Mr. Masterson and Healer Ashford, still with the worried look on her face. The only thing she was worried about was..."Yes, there are extras that you need to know," she spoke to the healer, her eyes watching her best friend as he was levitated into the room and....wow! The groundskeeper was....rather odd and a little snippy. Poor thing.

"Well, you see, I did find out over the summer that Miles is allergic to almost everything medicine wise, but...it's really not the sort of allergic reaction that one would think of." She walked a little closer to Ms. Ashford as she just had to warn the poor healer of exactly what to expect. "You see, he becomes rather...or EXTREMELY hyper. Like to the point that even I can't keep up with him." Boy, she really couldn't keep up with him after Bothari gave him a shot after he passed out before.

Gabriella glanced up when Miss Allister spoke up and mentioned that there were indeed extras she'd need to know. She lowered her wand, stopped the inspection, and gave the girl a questioning look. Her eyes flickered back and forth between Fia and Miles as she listened to the details of his allergic reactions. "Oh, I see," she mumbled, nodding her head as she continued to listen. Allergic reactions? As in stomach aches, a fever, or a rash?

She was sort of relieved when the true side effect was revealed. It wasn't every healer's biggest dream to have an overly hyper patient, but it certainly wasn't a 'worst nightmare' type situation either. "Extremely hyper, hmm? Thank you, Miss Allister," she said, turning immediately back to Miles. With an unconscious child lying just next to her, any additional conversation would have to wait until later.

"...cracked rib," she mumbled, her wand waving just above the boy's body. Gabriella was actually happy to see that it was a cracked rib she was dealing with and not a punctured lung or something of that sort. Bones were usually fairly easy for her to mend. She left his side for a moment to retrieve a potion from a cabinet. When she returned, she gently lifted his head and poured a potion into his mouth. "The cracked rib is healed, but he'll be sore for a few days. When he wakes up...and after I've given him a potion to calm him, he needs to go lie down."

Fia raised both brows as her eyes widened to what Ms. Ashford was saying. She warned and if this calming potion didn't work then nothing would. And sitting still? Nah! There was nothing still about Miles running all over the place and finally jumping into the water. That was a day that Fia would never forget and she would never doubt Bothari ever again.

"Okay, I understand what he needs to do but...I just hope that calming potion works." She didn't doubt Nurse Ashford but the hyperness she saw from Miles was real and a real pain.

Miles' eyes opened groggily and he looked around. Seeing Fia he smiled and reached his hand out, "Why the long face love?" He tried to sit up but was faced with a searing pain on his side and laid back down. "Well that won't work." Turning his head he looked down with a frustrated frown. He couldn't sit here...he needed to get up and move and...hmm.... Pushing himself up he winced at the pain and hopped off the table. "Well that was fun. " Turning around he spotted the healer and grinned, "Oh, hello there. Miles Vorkosigan at your service," he said bowing with a slight giggle.

Once you have, I need you to wait calmly on the table until I dismiss you," she instructed, passing the potion over to him.

THANK GOODNESS! Miles was awake and Fia smiled. So far, so good. He was calm and...she through her hands out to stop him from sitting up, much less getting off of the table but she was too late. He was down and ready to go.

"And there's the giggles," she sighed, almost wanting to laugh knowing that he was going to be okay. "And hereeee he goes!" She pressed her lips together as she was trying her best to hide the smile that was forming.

As he was put back on the table he frowned, "Hey do that again!" He giggled and watched as the nurse turned back around and he tried to slide off the table but was met by her again this time holding a potion.

"Umm...I don't think that's a good idea," he said as he took the potion. Looking around at everyone he shrugged and drank the potion completely. Handing the glass back to her with a grin he hopped off the table and grabbed Fia's hand. "Alright let's go."

Gabriella simply frowned as Miles urged her to levitate him once again. Had she not been previously warned about his hyperactivity, his comments just might have annoyed her---and Gabriella did hate to get annoyed with the children. She narrowed her eyes at his 'not a good idea' comment but otherwise remained silent. When the potion was gone, a small smile appeared on her face.

"Did you enjoy the milk, Mr. Vorkosigan?" she asked, nodding towards the empty phial. Yes, she'd just given him a nice, healthy dose of milk, full of calcium. When she was growing up, her mother always said a healthy dose of calcium was perhaps the best way to calm a child and help he or she have a peaceful night's rest. It had always worked in the Ashford household, at least. "It'll calm you, hopefully, without triggering your allergies."

When he took hold of Fia's hand and announced he was leaving, Gabriella swished and flicked her wand to close the slightly ajar door. "Mr. Vorkosigan, must I tell you a third time to wait calmly until I dismiss you?" she asked. She waited a few seconds, swished and flicked her wand again, then..."You're dismissed." The door opened just a bit. "Have a nice day...both of you. Remember to get some rest, Mr. Vorkosigan."

Even though Miles had a hold of her hand, Fia wasn't going anywhere. He had not been released from the nurse and she was not going to let him go either. She stopped quickly, jerking his hand back towards her as if to stop him with all her weight. Her eyes looked helplessly towards Healer Ashford as...yes...the nurse was seeing just how HYPER Miles could be, but this was nothing compared to what happened over the summer.

"Thank you for your help, Ms. Ashford," Fia spoke up knowing that he was going to be sore but now it was time for Hyper Miles, something the healer would not see. The nurse was letting them go. Thank the stars above!

Still not completely satisfied that Miles was cured of his hyperactivity and ready to be released, Gabriella continued to slightly frown his way. One thing was for sure, though...the hyperactivity would eventually work its way out of the boy's system, although exactly when that would be was another story altogether. She supposed if someone spotted him bouncing off the walls of the castle, they'd stop him before he got hurt. Besides, Miss Allister seemed to be taking good care of him.

Speaking of Fia, Gabriella turned her way and broke out into a small smile when the young girl thanked her. "You're very welcome, Miss Allister. Do watch him and if he gets too out of control, bring him back in," she said, giving Miles a serious look.

With the children being sent on their way, Gabriella turned to properly introduce herself to the groundskeeper. He was, however, long gone by that point. "Well I've never," she mumbled, shaking her head as she headed back to the waiting area.

Upon hearing that Violet did indeed feel a little better, Gabriella broke out into a smile. It always thrilled her to see that people getting better and better. Despite the fact that her job relied on people being sick, she truly enjoyed seeing the well and healthy, too. "That's wonderful news, Miss Riddle. You're dismissed, but only to return to your Common Room for some well-needed rest. It'll make you feel stronger," she explained.

She was truly glad to hear that Violet was feeling better. Placing a student in the Quarantine Ward was something Gabriella wanted to prevent at all times. She knew, though, that eventually it'd probably have to be done. "Have a nice day, Miss Riddle." Knowing that she had a number of other patients waiting for her, Gabriella exited the healing area and headed back into the waiting room.

Nicoletta stumbled into the next room. She groaned. Well, she half groaned. She groaned at first because her ankel hurt again, then she stopped because the groaning hurt. She limped over to somewhere where she could sit down and sat.

Once Gabriella reached the healing area, she turned to motion for Nicoletta to come inside. When she spun around, though, she noticed that the young girl had sat down in a chair just outside the supply closet. With a wondering expression on her face, Gabriella headed back down the hallway and approached Nicoletta. Supposing she was too weak to go on, Gabriella casted a quick "Mobilicorpus," then directed the girl's body into the appropriate room.

Once she was safely on the table, Gabriella retrieved her usual stool and guided it closer to the table. "Now then, Miss Davis, explain to me what's happened to you," she said, giving the young girl a pleasant expression. Gabriella could see that she was in a great deal of pain, but knowing why really helped in curing the condition.

As she waited for a reply, Gabriella roamed the healing area looking for a few phials of potion that she knew, regardless of the condition, could be used. Gabriella was sure she was going to be dealing with broken bones at some point, too, but that required a few simple swishes and flicks of her wand. She returned to Nicoletta's side a moment later, quiet as she continued to wait for the explanation.

"Well you see, over the summer I was playing quidditch with my brothers and my sister. One of my older brothers hit a bludger at me and when I tried to swing, I missed. I fell of my broom about thirty feet. I crushed my left arm, my ankel, and three ribs. My mother's not much of a healer, but she didn't think she needed to take me to St. Mungo's. We had some cheap bone healing medicine and she gave me that. She never got around to fixing my arm though the medicine seemed to work on the rest. Since then, I think the medicine's been wearing off because I felt one of my ribs snap earlier and I can't walk on my ankel anymore." Nicoletta explained to her.

Gabriella nodded as she listened to Nicoletta's explanation, stopping only when the girl got to the part about the cheap bone healing medicine. Cheap bone healing medicine? Gabriella had never heard of such, so to hear of it now definitely got an eyebrow raise from her. "Merlin Me, child! It seems like that bone healing medication should come with a label---'Don't try this at home'. Better yet, I don't recommend ever trying a bone healing medicine, for healing bones is done through wandwork, not medication," she replied.

Frowning at the very thought of such a medication, Gabriella stood and drew her wand. She waved it carefully over the young girl as she examined her. "You know," she said, speaking up as she continued to examine Nicoletta. "I suffered a similar accident in my sixth year at Hogwarts. I was hit right in the face with a bludger, knocking me off my broom similarly to how you were knocked off yours."

Gabriella said no more, though, for she'd found the source of the girl's pain. "Your left arm, ankle, and three ribs are still broken," she concluded, putting her wand away and retrieving the potions she'd gathered earlier. She knew cheap bone healing medication hadn't worked. "I'm going to first heal your bones with a bit of wandwork. Afterwards, I'm going to give you a potion to revive your strength."

"T-Thank you." she smiled weakly. "At least I'm not the only one. Do you think I'll be better in time for quidditch try outs?" she asked and groaned again as she go that feeling you have before you throw up. "Can I get some water?"
