Chris Potter had arrived to Platform 9 and 3/4 early this September 1st. He wanted to be on the Hogwarts Express more than usual. He knew they had to replace alot of Prefects last term, and he still only knew a few of the replacements. He didn't even know who the female Gryffindor Prefect would be.

He walked down the corridor and came to the door that led to the compartment labeled. Prefects.

He slid the door back to reveal the spacious, and empty, compartment and headed over to a spot on the bench by the window, he couldn't wait to see who would walk in next!!

Reese had placed all her belongings in the appropriate part of the train before she headed down the train hallway with Torin beside her. "Torin, I know I said a while back that I hate her, but...I don't know. Thinking about it, I don't even know why I hated her in the first place, so I decided to give her a chance," she replied to him. "And, after wanting to give her a chance, I decided that you two are perfect for each other." She shrugged her shoulders and quickly shot him a little smile.

"Now, do you know where the Prefect compartment is?" She asked curiously as she looked through all the compartment doors as she passed by them. After walking by what seemed like 100 compartments, she finally came up to one that Chris was sitting it. "Oh, this must be it," she announced as she opened the door and stepped inside.

She wasn't exactly wearing her school uniform, yet, since she was one of the people that put it on right before they got to school. Instead, she was wearing her nice 'birthday' outfit that she had put together this morning. Truthfully, she really didn't feel like getting too dressed up for her 18th birthday, so she just put something on before leaving the house.

"Hey Chris," she greeted her friend before taking a seat right next to him. She took the sunglasses off that she had put on top of her head before entering the train and then placed them inside her purse, making sure that they didn't land on top of bubbles, who was taking a little nap inside of there.

Wow.

So this was what the Prefect compartment looked like. Cool. hehe.

Looking around at the entrance, he noticed that Chris and Reese were in there. Reese. He hadn't known that she was a Prefect too. This would make Term rather interesting for sure.

He headed over to where Reese was and took a seat beside her, placing his luggage on the other side of him. "Hey, guys. Excited to be going back to school?" He knew he was.

Nice compartment.

Gold had brushed her hair really well, this morning. She always did that, of course, but she had sort of styled it, too. The bright red high heels clicked against the floor as she stepped in, and looked around.

- only to spot Mr. T.

"Mr. T," she said, with a cheerful wave. Then she saw Chris, and waved to him, too. "Hey there, Chris! Long time, no see."

... and who was the other girl? She didn't know her, but Torin had just headed over to her, so that girl, she had to be a friend of his. "Hi there," Gold said brightly, to Miss Prefect-without-a-name.

"Gold Laksh. You?"

Chris looked up excitedly as the door finally slid open to reveal the first of the other Prefects. And it was Reese! "Happy Birthday Reese!" he said as she sat beside him. The Gryffindor gave her a hug and then smiled happily. "Oh is that Bubbles?" he said scrunting his nose as he looked closly at the little pink ball on Reese. "Hi Bubbles!" he grinned.

He then leaned down and pulled a small animal carrier out from under his seat. He pulled out the little cat-like Kneazle. "This, Reese, is Owen!" he said placing Owen on his lap and petted his black fur.

Chris looked up from Reese and their pets. He would put Owen up in his cage, to take a nap, for the rest of the ride. In the doorway was Torin. Torin was a Prefect this term!? Awesome another friend on the team. "Hey Torin, glad you made Prefect! You impressed?" he chuckled as he watched the Hufflepuff glance around the compartment taking in it's aumbiance.

He then grinned as he waited for Torin to sit down and join them. "Oh you know I'm excited. It felt to me like the break was taking forever." he nodded.

Just as Torin had moved out of the door way and into the compartment, a brightly dressed, redheaded girl stepped in and smiled brightly at them. "Hey Gold." he waved cheerfully at her. "So, what house are you Prefecting for?" he asked curiously. He knew she was new this term, but he had no clue what house she was in, because they had only talked for a second in the Leaky's Courtyard over break.

Wait...

Didn't Torin know this was PREFECTS ONLY?

Reese slowly turned her head to look at her Hufflepuff friend. "Torin, don't you know this is Prefects only? I thought you were just walking with me to help me find me compartment," she told him. "I would love to sit with you on the train, but you can't be in here." She looked towards Chris and then looked back at Torin. "I suggest you leave before you get in trouble," she added.

Upon hearing Torin's question about going back to school, she looked down at her lap. "Mixed emotion," she simply answered. She was excited about going back to school with her friends, but she was also sad this was going to be her last year at Hogwarts. And, HER LAST TRAIN RIDE TO SCHOOL. "I'm...I'm going to cry," she whispered. "I can't believe this is my last train ride to school." She was actually going to try her best not to cry, because she didn't want to look like a fool or anything.

Looking up at the new arrival to the compartment, she put on a smile as the girl introduced herself. Hmm, Gold. Why did that name sound familiar? "Reese Upstead," she introduced herself. "It's nice to meet you, Gold."

Oh, yes. All the happiness came back to Reese when Chris wished her happy birthday and gave her a hug. "Thanks," she replied with a smile. "I'm 18, Chris. I'm getting ollllld." She looked down at the pink pgymy puff in her purse and nodded her head. "Yes, this is Bubbles," she told him. "But, she's sleeping. Shhh!" She looked back at Chris when he pulled out the Kneazle and she let out an 'aww.' "It's so cute," she commented.

Eh?

That was ... quite an interesting exchange between Reese and Torin. Clearly, Reese did not know her friend was a Prefect. "He's a prefect," Gold said, with a bit of a shrug. That was pretty clear, no?

"Nice to meet you too, Reese," she added, as she sat down. Comfy seating! Gold really liked it, and she grinned at the talk of pets as she placed her own wickerwork basket of kittens down. It was covered by a pretty sheet, so you really couldn't tell what was inside. High Heels and Mr. T were both asleep, anyway.

As usual.

Oooh, lookie! Chris was waving back! How sweet. "Gryffindor," Gold grinned brightly. She had known it would be either that, or Ravenclaw. He was a Gryffindor too, no? She wasn't really sure.

The prefects compartment. Jack had always pictured this place in his mind as a mythical carriage, someplace that was forbidden to all except those lucky prefects, and now--he got to go inside!

Granted it was probably NOT as stellar as he had imagined it--the same thing had happened when he tried to mentally picture the Prefects Bathroom, and when he got inside it was...well, just a bathroom. The same was true in this place. It was just another train carriage but--well, it was special.

As he entered the room, his eyes immediately fell upon Reese and Chris, both of whom he already knew had gotten the badge. Then there was another girl in there that he didn't recognize--was that badge red on her robes?--and...TORIN?

WHAT was he doing here? He tried to go over the prefects that had left last term in his head...who was the male Hufflepuff prefect? OH YES it was none other than Dominic Denton, the student that Jack was replacing as Head Boy. Sooooo that meant that Torin DID get the badge! Why else would he be here?

"NO WAY! They made Torin Kane a prefect?" Jack asked with a grin as he dropped his stuff in a nearby seat. He was only joking, of course, he knew Torin was an AWESOME choice for prefect.

"Hi, I'm Jack Fritzera," he added, introducing himself to the red head before turning to Chris and Reese and greeting them as well.

"They really shouldn't have, right?" Gold asked, with a smile. She knew the question wasn't directed at her but, then again, it wasn't directed at anyone, as far as she knew.

"It's such a pity nobody expected you to get prefect, Mr. T." She looked up at Torin, grinned a bit as she spoke. Hehe.

"Gold Laksh," she told Jack, with a nod. "Can I call you Jackie? That's kinda easier to say."

"Miss G?" He tuned to look at Gold as she came in. She was a Prefect too? Wow.. This made things even more awesome! If only Brody were Prefect.

"Hey, Prefect. How are you?" He grinned at her. He hadn't seen her since that day when Lori had kissed him. It had been a nice kiss too.

He grinned at Chris. His enthusiasm was just making Torin more excited. "Oh, you bet I am. This is gonna be awesome. Tammy was so proud of me." She had clung to him before going off to watch Tom and Jerry. But he just wished that she could be there with him now. He needed her...

"I'm excited too. And your excitement is making me even more excited." hehe.

Or, more like he was excited until...

"What are you talking about?" he asked her as he turned to face her and raised his brow. Did she not believe that he was Prefect now? Not after he sat in the compartment? The others had believed that he was.

Reese didn't have faith in him it seemed.

But what he said next made him soften towards her a little bit. "Aww, don't cry. Just enjoy the trip and you will have a whole 9 months until you have to go back." He patted her on the arm comfortingly. And now Jack was starting on him? Siiigh. Oh well, at least the Gryffindor seemed to be joking.

"I know. Can you believe it? The school must be going mental." He winked and wondered what the boy was doing there when Chris was the male Prefect for that House. There could only be TWO Prefect per House and one being female. Everyone knew that.

Unless...

"Jack, are you Head Boy?" NO FREAKING WAY!!

Meowwn.

That sound -- it was coming from INSIDE her wickerwork basket. Gold grinned to herself, removed the purty sheet, and took a peek inside. Sure enough, one of the kittens was awake.

"I'm good," she told Torin, with twinkling, bright green eyes. "... and guess what? Mr. T just woke up."

Chris could hear when Reese whispered her feelings about leaving this term and knew that she was sad. That's partly why he hugged her, and partly because of her birthday. "Oh you are welcome. Oh and you are old!" he stuck out his tongue out at her, joking.

Chris then laughed silently as Reese told him that Bubbles was asleep. "Oh oops!" He then smiled as Owen lifted his little fuzzy head and sniffed Reese's fingers. "He likes you."

Chris grinned his signature smile, and then blinked a second. Wait...oh did se say Gryffindor. "Well that's great! I am the male Gryffindor Prefect, looks like we are partners this term, we will be good friends soon." he nodded cheerfully.

Chris was so excited, friend after friend walked into the Prefect's Compartment, promising for a great Prefect team this year. Up next...was Jack! "Hey Jack, good to see ya. Welcome to the Prefect's Compartment." he grinned, giving the Head boy a high five.

Miles walked into the Prefects compartment pulling his back up higher on his shoulder. He didn't know what to expect and was nervous beyond belief. Looking around he smiled at the other members he saw and found a seat. With a sigh he slumped into the seat and dropped his bag. Nothing had been the same since Fia had left. Nothing.

As he was about to look around to see who was here he heard a familiar voice and looked up. "Torin? You're a Prefect too?" Well at least he knew someone even if it was Torin. Who knew maybe they'd actually become friends.

Well, that confirmed it. This was the person she would have to team up with, this term. That was nice. Because Chris seemed like a pretty good guy. Hopefully, they could help Gryffindor lead.

"I hope so," she said brightly. "You have a kneazle?" This, by way of curiosity. "I have two kittens!"

New prefect? Gold didn't know this guy. Might as well get acquainted, eh? "Gold Laksh," she said, with a pretty smile. "Gryffindor, by the way. What about you, person-whose-name-I-don't-know?"

... and this guy knew Torin. Did EVERYONE know Torin? Gold didn't doubt that. Hehe.

Jackie? Interesting...but he'd go with it. Somehow Jack had received a ton of nicknames over the past two years, so he was used to being called things that were NOT his name. "Sure," he said with a grin. Gold, eh? That'd be easy to remember...her hair was very colorful so it was only natural that she'd have a colorful name!

"What house are you prefecting for?" he asked with a smile. Obviously not Slytherin, since that was Reese.

Ohdearohdearohdearohdear. She was gonna be laaaatte. She just knew it. And then they would fire her on her first day, not really first day but... , and then they were going to cook her up and eat her. Yeah. Logical obviously. But thoughts whirled around her head as Livvy rushed on down to the Prefects' Compartment.

What would she find there? Chaos maybe? Orderly mature students? Mooncalf poo? Oh merlin. Hope not.

"I'm here I'm here! Don't eat me!" she yelled out as she ran on into the compartment with a smile plastered over her face. Real enough hopefully? Livvy took a few deep breaths and dropped her bag to the floor with a loud CLUNK. And then her eyes roamed among her fellow prefects. Mates. Type. People. Whatever. Many of them weren't familiar to her. Except.

"TORIN. You're a prefect?! And REESE?! And... and... Miles. Hey," she said, smiling to all of them. She quickly scrambled over to Reese and hugged her. "Happy Birthday kiddo!" She didn't forget! The Livmeister knew all. And. Well. Hugs weren't given freely either.

Nawww... Livvy gave a hug to Torin. And then to Jack with a "Hey. How've you been? Oh wait. What are you doing here?" and then she also gave a hug to Chris because he was her best buddy wasn't he?

NOW. Who did she need to meet?

"Thanks," Gold said cheerfully. She grinned at Torin as she said that because, well, every time she said a simple thank you, she was reminded of a *certain* conversation. Hehe.

Why was she thanking Jackie, though? It was not like she would have called him Jack, if he had told her not to call him Jackie. Yeah, she would have called him Jackie, anyway. That was ... her.

"Gryffindor."

Gold wasn't going to eat this new person, but she was going to introduce herself. "Gold Laksh," she said, waving to ze newcomer. "Gryffindor. Hi, there!"

Miles looked up as a girl spoke to him and he nodded with a rather forced smile. "Miles Vorkosigan, Ravenclaw." Ugh why did things feel so weird. Usually he'd be outgoing and friendly and now he just wanted to be...left alone.

Then someone else spoke to him, rather loudly at that, and he nodded. "Miles Vorkosigan, Prefect for Ravenclaw." Why was everyone so excited here? Ugh. Wonder where Fia is.

He looked up as someone else came through the door and at least new her. "Hey Livvy." Oh this was going to be a long train ride.

Was that ... a forced smile? Gold wasn't that sure. Maybe she was seeing things? Oh well, if this guy wanted to talk to her, he would. If not, she wasn't going to make him. That would be silly.

"Pleasure to meet you, Miles."

Livvy was being melo-dramatic, but oh well. Her attention was immediately turned to this red-head gal and was waving at her as she introduced herself. "Hello Gold! That's a nice name! I like it," she grinned, lifting her hand up into the air to wave back. "Olivia Zhang. Ravenclaw. Head Girl this term."

That sounded weird to even her own ears. Did Hogwarts send the badge to the right address?

She was... collecting date... surveying people... if you wish. She, herself, wasn't exactly too sure whether or not she would be trying out. It felt odd not having Willow as a Quidditch Captain.

Jack laughed as Livvy hugged him and he playfully rolled her eyes at her comment. "Nice to see you too, Livvy!" he responded. "And I'm here because you're looking at the new Head Boy," he told her with a proud grin. "Did you get the badge for Ravenclaw?" he asked. That was why she was there, right? She was the new prefect yes?

"Gryffindor? Really? Awesome! I'm in Gryffindor too," he said with a grin. Soooo that solved the mystery of the allusive female prefect for the lions! She seemed nice, and talkative too, which was EXACTLY what they needed in a prefect.

*wave back* Because Gold liked to wave. It was such a pretty thing. Like a gentle breeze. But she really didn't have time to think of that, right now and - and what? Head girl? This was THE head girl?

Not bad, if you ask Gold.

"Liv," she said, with a nod. "Can I call you Liv? Easier than Olivia. Or Livvy. Easier than Liv." Cue cheerful smile.

Chris was the Gryffindor prefect which meant ... oh goodie, this must be the Head Boy. THE head boy.

"You're the Head Boy?" Gold more stated, than asked. "Nice." She should get to know this guy, more. He seemed pretty nice, and Gold was sure they could get along well.

Livvy grinned cheerfully up at the boy and crossed her arms as she awaited his response. Hmm... what business could he possibly have here? Jack Fritzera. The Gryffindor Quidditch Captain. Did someone steal his broom? Was Torin hitting on Reese again? Did Cam pull a prank on him like the previous term? Already, Livvy knew this term would be filled with surprises and LOTS of work to do.

WHAT? Livvy's jaw dropped in both shock and joy. "You're joking!" she exclaimed, playfully punching his arm gently. They were Head Boy/Head Girl buddies? Jack Fritzera. Ex-Gryffindor Quidditch Captain. Current Head Boy.

"Well Mr. Head Boy. You're looking at your partner. The new Head Girl." Smirk smirk.

Waving got tiring. But it was still fun.

Since Gold kept on waving, Livvy felt that the most appropriate and polite thing to do was to keep on waving back. It was a nice gesture, no? People appreciated it when you followed through the introductions. So Gold was the new Gryffindor Prefect. She seemed like an upbeat girl. A REALLY upbeat girl.

Liv? Mhm. No one ever called her 'Liv'. That was new.

Livvy just smiled and shrugged though. "Sure if you wish, Gold. I don't mind. Though it might take some getting used to. You're probably the first person to call me 'Liv'." Surprisingly.

"Come again? He looked at her confused. What was she talking about? He was Mr. T and he sure was awake... And then he heard the meow. She has a cat named Mr. T?

"I share a name with a cat."

Miles was Prefect? Wow. He was a little surprised, but this might be a good thing. If he got to know Miles better through Prefecting they might become friends. And he wanted to be friends with Miles because he was friends with Brody. That must make him a decent guy.

"Hey, Miles. Glad to see you got a badge too." He offered the Ravenclaw a smile.

This was exciting. Jack would be an awesome Head Boy, Torin just knew it.

"Thanks. Way to go! You so deserve it. Can't think of anyone more fitting." Jack was right, he really would have an eventful last Term. And Reese was proud of him, surely. He wondered if she had known about it in advance.

EEEK! Livvy was here?!?!

She was a 7th Year... That meant...

"YOU'RE HEAD GIRL!" He jumped up from his seat when she hugged him and squeezed her for a second before letting go again. YAY random hugs!

But he was so glad that she was Head Girl. He would be working with her and Jack and all these other awesome people.

So exciting.
