It was possible you know, that the journal might have been kicked around the Great Hall towards somewhere unknown, somewhere anyone might just take it, open it and read it. Ay, no...

Annie was dead...

She felt useless without her diary. So useless her own thoughts led her to the first floor corridor, weird place to be since it's a puzzle to arrive to that place. She sat on a bench nearby and played with Copito's paws. The kitten didn't understand her...she looked terrible.

Ahhhhh this castle was so big and new. Hehe! Drew had been walking around the castle and found himself on the first floor corridor. He had his hands deep in his pockets as he walked. He hadn't been noticing to much of who was around. But when he saw somebody sitting on a near by bench. Drew backed up slightly and looked at the girl. It was Annie but she looked terrible.

Drew sat down on the bench close to Annie. "Are you alright Annie?" He said her wondering what could make her so sad......

Copito's ears sensed someone coming nearby her Annie and him. Quickly, he stood up and started to meow, he wanted to leave. He didn't want anyone near them because he was to take of his Annie, not someone else. Nuh-uh.

Meanwhile, Annie looked up and saw Drew coming near and sitting by her. A smile drew across her face and she made Copito wave with his paw, something the kitten didn't enjoy so much. "Hey Drew..." She said, sort of making her problems aside, she didn't want to ruin this moment. But it was impossible.

"Hmm...I think I lost my journal, last night at the Great Hall..." She confessed, feeling more awful than ever before.

Drew watched the kitten in Annie's arms. He still doesn't seem to happy. But c'mon! What did he do to the darn cat! He hadn't done anything that he was aware of.... But then he heard why Annie was upset. Hmmmmmm she lost her journal??? And does that mean it was an important journal??? "Well that's not good. Are you sure you just didn't miss place it in your dorm?" He asked softly.

Copito purred. Drew...not great company to my Annie, nuh-uh.

"My life is in that book, I have study sessions planned, even soccer practices, pictures, and lots of memories I've written about..." Alright, that was too much Annie said. Gulp.

She shook her head, hopeless of finding her book.

Awwww Annie was really upset about this. And Drew had no idea how to make her feel better. Maybe if he put his arm around her. Or hugged her. Noooooo way! It was to early for those types of things to happen. So instead he just placed a hand on her back like a friend might do.

"I'm really sorry you lost your journal. I can help you look for it if you want." He offered his hand still on her back.

A chill, a spark ran through Annie's spine. What was that all about...?? She smiled to Drew and continued to play with Copito's paws. For some reason, she wanted his support, and for another reason, she felt not a single regret of letting him touch her. Umm...weird...

Oh...no, he didn't. Copito just glared at Drew for touching his Annie. Purr..purr.

"It's okay, I mean...I hope the person who finds it, doesn't dare to read a page...or else, I'm dead..." She tried to smile when Drew offered his help to find it, but it was useless. "If you see...a leather journal, with my name on it...tell me immediately, Please" She almost begged, it was the only thing Drew could do, after all.

Drew saw that smile and he returned it. Goooood so maybe she was okay with the whole his hand on her back thing. And for some reason he just felt like he didn't want to take his hand off. Like it was glued there and it was never going to come off. Almost like Annie was a part of his life now....

But then gulp that cat was purring pretty loud and he looked upset with him. So Drew removed his hand from her back.

"I'm sure somebody would respect you enough to not read it." Welllll at least he would do that. But there were sooooo many students here...."I promise if I see it or find it or something. I will make sure to find you right away." He promised.

Annie looked down to Copito and back to Drew. Hmmph. That little kitten of hers was giving everyone a glare. Too bad, she was having new friends. "Copito, calm..." She began to pet him as she looked back at Drew. "Thanks...you just cheered up my day, I've been like a Phantom, literally since the journal disappeared..." She cleaned a few tears off her face and huffed her hair out of her face.

"I hope..." She whispered.

So the little guys name was Copito. Hmmmm Drew wasn't even going to try to say that one. But then he heard Annie's next comment Drew smiled. "Well I'm glad I could help out." He said but then watched Anna let out some tears before she could clean them. Awwwww this wasn't good. "You don't have to cry. It's going to be okay I promise." True he had no way of knowing this but he didn't want her to cry.

Drew was right! Annie needed to cheer up, and not cry. She looked at him and grinned, letting Copito stand on the floor by his own. He was being mean to Drew, something Annie hated from him whenever she met someone, mostly guys. "Okay, no more crying...tell me about yourself, how have you been since..." Wait, was it the day before they had met again at the train?...

Yes it was, "...since yesterday." Annie said, giggling as she realized it.

Drew watched the kitten get put on the floor. Haha! Seeeee that's what happens when he was mean to him. "Goooood no more crying." He said he didn't like it when people cry that wasn't a good thing. "Since yesterday eh?" Wow he hadn't realized he just saw Annie yesterday......"Welll I've been goooood. Just trying to figure this wholllllle place out. I knew it was big but geeez it's bigger than I ever imaged. So what about you? Besides losing your journal?" He asked interested.

"Looks like we get to see each other a lot of times lately..." Annie laughed, making aside all feelings from the last minute disappear, just for a while. And it seemed like Drew was one of those persons able to take a smile out of her face in those hard moments. So, she decided that way not to make the meeting so depressing.

Was the boy making his Annie laugh? Even after disappearing that annoying disappearing notebook? Uh...no...Not a great idea, Drew. He knew nothing about messing with his Annie.

Annie listened to Drew and nodded. "Kind of me too, but I'm in the search for my notebook, so it's kind of weird the way I get to meet this place." She said, pointing her finger around, as sort of signature that she's been all around the castle in the search for Phantom.

Yes! Drew soooooo wouldn't complain having more Annie time! Hehe! "Yeah it does." He said playing it cool. Though he had a wide grin on to her laugh. Awwww she had a cute laugh...

"I guess it would be sort of a weird way of know the castle. Looking for something. More so if you were like looking down at your feet and you ended up hitting a wall or something." Like you would do Drew??? Okay so again with was him trying to be funny......

Annie giggled. Something she might do as well. "Well, let me just say it could happen, me hitting a wall..." Haha, her being distracted and in a minute or so, BAM...

"But I have to limit...so, in the search for this notebook I must be careful, I heard the stairs have lose tiles..." Blink...scare, scare.

Drew smiled as she giggled awwwww so Annie thought his joke was funny! Score! "I know what you are saying. That would most likely happen to me as well." He said with a light chuckle.

"I've heard that tooo. I do have to say I would be sad if you got hurt or something." Ohhh no! Maybe that wasn't the best thing to tell her. But it was true butbutbut! Drew gulped lightly and looked away from Annie waiting for her to say something!

"Let's hope not, though this place is tricky..." Hehe, cute comment he did about things going sad if something happened to her. She tried not to say nothing, but decided to finish her sentence...", yet fun...this place is amazing." She said, remembering Sebastian's pesimism about the school. Ugh...

"Well, it'd be a great idea to take care, lots of care so nothing happens to either of us...it'd be really bad...you know..." Cough...Annie would be desperately worried about Drew now, she wondered why.

Did Annie actually just answered him??? Of course she did! Hehe niccccce! "Yeah I sure hope it isn't. That would make getting to classes that much harder." He joked looking back at Annie now.

Wait! Was she saying she would be sad if he got hurt or something??? Hummmm. "Yeah that soooo won't be good for either of us." He said smiling a small sly smile. "No getting hurt deal?" He asked putting his hand out for a handshake.

Annie grinned and looked back at Drew. "Yes, lucky we have a nurse up there, to take care if something magically involved happens to us, when we fall...or end up surrounded by a bunch of ghosts and go scared..." Still, that little bitty fear of them ran through her spine. Ugh. She twitched and tried to look away from Drew.

Handshake Drew or not? Well, it calmed her...touching him wasn't so disgusting as she felt when he first patted her back. "Deal..." She stretched out her hand, shook his and immediately let go off. Sparks...

Reese, who just wanted to get away from the crowded common room for a little bit, made her way down the first floor corridor. In her hands she held a book, but the title wasn't visible to anyone just yet. Her brown eyes scanned the area around her as she walked and when she spotted Annie and some guy she didn't know, she gave them a little wave before passing them and continuing further down the corridor.

She didn't stop walking until the corridor became completely empty and then she sat down on the ground. The girl leaned her back against the wall before opening her book to the first page.

The title was now visible and it read: Astronomy for Dummies.

Scared by ghosts??? Ermmm Drew wasn't scared of ghosts. But gasp! Anniiiie was wasn't she??? Ohhhhhhh hmmm. "Wait are you afraid of the ghosts and all?" He asked raising an eyebrow slightly. Reallly? Maybe he should be around Annie when there was a ghost cause she will be all scared and he could comforte her. Haha! Yeahhhhhh he would just have to keep dreaming....

Drew smiled. "Alright." He said simply. He felt that handshake it was quick. But there was this weird feeling when their hands had touched.....

Drew watched as an older girl came walking down the corridor. He didn't think much of it until she waved to them. He looked back at Annie. "Do you know her?" He asked quietly so the other girl won't hear. Maybe she didn't know her maybe the girl was just being nice....

Annie's and Copito's eyes turned when someone had waved at them. Ooh, someone nice, they thought. But Annie realized it was Reese, Emiliano's friend who had done that great gesture. She grinned and waved back at her then took her conversation with Drew back on the road.

Though Reese seemed suspicious...

Annie shook her head. "Um...no, not scared of ghosts," Lie, "But I'm not used to this whole deal of ghosts, poltergeists, and things..I've just been around ghosts once, and it wasn't so pleasant, when I found out I could actually see them..." Gulp...that was her second magical encounter.

She cleared her throat and looked at her hand. What was that...iFlail.

Annie nodded her head when Drew asked about Reese. "Yes, she is one of my cousin's best friend, Reese Upstead. I heard she became a prefect this year..." She said, remembering that Annie was to deliver a letter to Reese afterwards, but that letter was inside Phantom. Ugh.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh so she wasn't scared she just didn't like them eh??? "So your not scared you just don't like them because they creep you out?" He asked. Pshhhh she was scared. But he wasn't going to mess with Annie she would knock him down like that!

"Ohhhh okay. Wait sooo she's a prefect?" Hrmmm. Drew must rememeber to stay on this Reese Upstead's good side.

Annie nodded, trying to avoid the truth to come out. She was not going to let a boy know of her fears, unless...yes, Drew would always be around. And hey, no time to complain with him being always around her. Good...really good. "Yes, they just creep me out..." She whispered and made a shiver.

She hummed a yes and smiled. Annie learned from Em to always be on people's good side. You never know who are they connected to.
