Seriously, check here for homeworks and any other announcements pertaining to Astronomy.
I'll be trying something new this term. I am going to attempt to have 2 styles of classes, Beginning and Advanced. YOU MAY ONLY CHOOSE ONE STYLE TO ATTEND. If you Attend or do the homework for one, you may not do the other. I will be taking note of who attends/does homework, so no trying to sneak! |

Unfortunately, due to previously unforeseen circumstances, I will NOT be able to do class tonight at 6pm. I will continue now, and hopefully finish tomorrow (Saturday).
I am sorry that I said tonight, and am doing it now, but in order to keep with my schedule (and to hopefully not leave everyone overwhelmed with too much at once), I need to do this now.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Professor McFarlane Graduated | Beginner's Lesson 1 Homework IndyEddie
Worth 10 points and due Jan 21st, by 8pm CST (GMT -6) (PM to Mistress Vondella)
What is a satellite?
Why is it easy to walk around the moon in a heavy spacesuit?
Why does the moon always have the same "face", or side, facing towards Earth?
How does Earth's atmosphere protect it from meteorites?
What is the side of the moon that faces Earth called?
Remember, this is for the BEGINNER'S class, if you have participated in this class, and/or do it's homework, then you are UNABLE to attend the Advanced Class next weekend!

Worth 20 points
Write an essay about either a) IF you believe the cosmic allignment could affect Earth, possibly destroying it and why
b) If you do NOT believe it, why
c) Scientists agree that the Earth will end, which theory do you agree with and why?
As it IS an essay, I want citations, and I'll be flexible with them. All research should be done online, and links to the site(s), as well as which paragraph. Make sure your links work, so I can find.
This is NOT a copy/paste essay. This is still plagiarism, and is against site rules, please keep that in mind.
Due by Feb 6th by 10:30pm CST (GMT - 6) Include your name, house, and user ID PM to me, Mistress Vondella
