Hmm, this is new, Adrienne thought, coming up to the entrance to a corn maze on the school grounds. On her own, since she hadn't managed to find Chloe, and the odds of her brother being willing to explore the school with her were slim, she had set off to discover what was new this term at Hogwarts. And the grounds were always a good place to start, since even without reading Mr. Masterson's interview in the Quill, everyone knew he made a point in developing interesting places to explore.

Glancing up at the tops of the cornstalks, since her black and white Marc Jacobs flats meant she was actually her normal 5'6" height for once, she stood there for a few seconds, contemplating if she wanted to head inside.

Well, one thing is for sure. You can't say Mr. Masterson has no imagination....

Lyra had decided to take a walk on the grounds. Hands in her school robe pockets and walked with a small pace around not knowing what to do. She walked around for a few moments when something caught her eyes. It was something she had never seen before....or had it been here last year too but Lyra just never saw it? Doubting that she had never seen it last year cause the Maïs she was looking at was huuuuuge!
Walking closer towards the plants , Lyra noticed it could have been a maze, maybe it was a maze! how cool is that!
Curiousity growing stronger, Lyra stood on her toes trying to look over the Maze but failed. Sighing, the second year wanted to explore the maze from the inside but what if she got lost? Turning around Lyra noticed that another girl who looked much older than she was, was looking at the maze too.
Lyra decided to, even though she was alot older and it made her feel small, to say hi. It was polite right? Walking towards the girl Lyra made a little cough and said "eeh.. Hi, was this here last year too?" with a small voice. If the girl had been younger or if Lyra had been older she would have said it in a much confident voice.

Vivianne was actually doing her usual thing again - Wandering... Clifford once called her Vivianne the wanderer for that... HAhaha!!!

Well, to her amazement she reached a very new site at the grounds. Scanning the area, wasn't this supposed to be an empty ground? she thought. There wasn't much student hanging around so she again walk again and after a while she found herself a few steps near the entrance. Wow!!! The maze was soooo much bigger than the view from afar.

Two students were standing there, she just noticed them. "Hello there," she said trying to catch their attention. "This maze just looks so cool, right?" She just loved Hogwarts sooo much... Everytime when she goes back to the school, there's new at the place.

Lyra turned around to find the source of the voice and saw another girl walking towards them. And she was older too!. Deciding to put her shyness aside and just make a conversation she smiled broadly at the girl. She looked familiar somehow, maybe Lyra had seen her a few times in the Gryffindor common room from last year. "Hey" she said when the older girl had greeted. "I know! Mr.Masterson sure does have a great imagination! i wonder how it is from the inside though" she said as she looked at the entrance of the maze. Wondering if there would be any creepy things lurking around but the Groundskeeper wouldn't do that right? right!?
"I'm Lyra by the way" she said as her eyes looked away from the maze and towards the girl.

Tired of not being able to sleep, Rayedem wandered to the grounds of his new school. This has never been easy to him; he even tends to get sick during trips because he lacks sleep. He tried to think positively, that it might even be better not sleeping, so that he could explore the school some more. What he didn't expect was that he'd walk into a very strange place.

"Wow," he said in amazement as he entered the maze. Where the heck am I? He walked on trying to find out, but as he got closer he realized that it was way too big. Peeking over was also not an option, since he was.. Well, not tall enough. Then he saw people ahead of him, apparently they too hadn't been there long. He decided to approach them and say hi.

"Hey there," he began, what to say? "Er.. I'm just wondering.. What is this place?" he asked, hoping that he didn't sound so rude. He's always had this problem starting a conversation with new people.

Vivianne was glad someone had replied. She didn't want to be talking to herself again. She was right, the groundskeepr was really a GENIUS... he was just so good thinking with stuffs like this on where students would enjoy. She smiled back at Lyra, now Via knew her name. "Yeah.. i'm pretty wondering too. Oh and I'm Vivianne," she told her. "I'm sure i have seen you around."


Then another voice caught her attention. t'was from a boy she had never seen around, probably a first year. "Hello!.." Vivianne smiled. Via had no idea either on what to call the place, but then as what she knew it was a maze. "A maze in a supposed to be school ground... Awesome."

She winked at the boy and decided to introduce heself, "I'm Vivianne," she smiled. Making friend was one of the greatest thing to do at the start of the term.

Seeing that even the older girl had no idea about the place either, Rayedem chuckled, "Hi, I'm Rayedem." he responded to Vivienne's introduction, "So, we all just happen to be here, huh?" he asked casually. Perhaps this school is still awesome even to those who have been here for years. He looked around some more, wondering how long it had taken to form all this maze.

Then, out of curiosity, he added, "Well, I came here because I can't sleep in my dorm, what about you?" and by the time he stopped talking he realized how weird he'd been. Maybe sleep deprivation has changed his personality somehow.

So her name is Vivianne? arrgh where did she heard that name before? It must be from the Gryffindor common room, it couldn't be anything else right?
"Nice to meet you vivianne" Lyra said as she looked at the older girl.
Lyra started to feel really small now, both of the girls where alot older than her. Last year, Lyra only talked to students around her age, the first and second years. Well, with the exception of Kiri but she had been a little older but for the rest it where only younger students. But now a older student was talking to her! and she seemed like a nice person. "eh, can i ask what year you are in cause you look alot older than me" The Slytherin asked the question without even realising it.



Lyra jumped slightly when another students walked towards them. Finally someone from her age. "Hey there" she greeted back and made a little wave. "it looks like a maze to me...i'm not sure though but one thing i do know that it is awesome!" Lyra said and stood on her toes again , trying to look over the maze but she couldn't. Mweh stupid height. "i wanna go in but i'm scared i'd get lost" she said and sighed a little.

Rayedem... oh where did she heard that name? SOmewhere... a muggle friend. She nodded at what she said. "You have an insomnia?" she asked him. "That's normal in here specially if you're new. I barely sleep... just when i get tired. There are too many happenings here at Hogwarts that you don't wanna miss when you're sleeping."

She was just talkative again as ever. "I was just wandering around... like my old habits so i found myself here. "



"it was nice to meet you either," she told Lyra. "I'm a Fifth year, but i tend to hang out with students younger than me." That was true, really. Vivianne didn't knew why but she just loved staying around them.

"Well at least we have each other if we all get lost," she laughed a little. It wasn't a good joke but she was sure it was fun to try the maze.

She read my mind, Rayedem thought. Well, maybe it wasn't exactly insomnia, but still.. "Not really. I sleep well when I'm at home, this only happens when I travel, I guess." he nodded, "Everywhere I travel. It's a lot of trouble. I wish this happens on my command so I can use it for, say, studying the night before an exam," he added, shrugging.

A fifth year, it's really great to know one. Despite the fact that he's not very good with people, he still wants to make a lot of friends. It's just that at that moment, he felt like he could talk to anyone.

He was so not himself that moment.

Rayedem looked past Vivianne to see another girl waving at him. Huh? Wait, I've seen her. I swear I've seen her. Where? Oh.. Right. He waved back, "Hey there." he said, feeling excited now, "You're Lyra, right? We've met before, but of course we haven't properly introduced ourselves. I'm Rayedem." he ended, and for a second he almost smiled, but then drew back at the thought.

What. Is. This?

Melanie stared up at the giant maze of corn, jaw slightly slack. Woah. ThatwasalotaCORN. She couldn't help but look slightly appalled. What kinda person would want all those vegetables? Didn't they know they were healthy and- home grown and-...and...

Well at least the corn was yellow. It couldn't be so bad could it? Yellow was a good color: the color of sun in picture books, the color of her favorite shoes, the color of halos, and lets not forget, it was one of the colors of HUFFLEPUFF.

But, just because it was yellow didn't make it good. This would require some investigation. Now, who planted this corn and WHY? Melanie blinked as she spotted some students lingering by the corn maze. She recognized two of them, and then there was a sixth year, little first year, both of which she'd never laid her eyes on...

Culprits, perhaps? Planners of a huge plot to overthrow the delicious desserts at the Hogwarts tables and replace then with corn pudding? Or maybe there was a MONSTER in the middle of all that yellow and green, and they were the protectors of it.

Anything was possible. And there was only one way to find out. Melanie inched towards the small group, trying to be quiet as possible as she crept stealthily up behind them. And then... "HEY! Do, you all know why this corn is here?" she asked them bluntly and a little curiously, popping into view over Vivianne 's shoulder, and pointing toward the corn before them.

Huh? that guy knew her name? woah scary!
Lyra looked more carefully at the guy, now he said it he does seem familiar..just like how Vivianne seemed familiar.
Scratching the back of her head she still watched the guy and then a light bulb went on in her head. "wait...aren't you that guy who was with Evan in Diagon Alley?" she asked although not sure if she was right.

Corn.Corn.Corn.Corn.Corn.Corn.Corn.Corn.Duuu Duu Duu Du Duuuuu! CORN!

Walking down to the hogwarts ground for no reason at all thinking about Corn.ZOMR! COOORN! A COORN MAAAZE! Wow.That was weird,shethought about corn and here was corn.Duude that was scary.Mabye if she thought about Fyo he'd appear too She needed to see her Fyoster,To tell him his best friend was being manipulated.

Fyo.MEEEEL!

There was her BFF,Running over to her she practicalled jumped on the poor girl and squueeed.MEEEL! I MISSSEEEED YOUU! she screamed.Ahhh that felt better.

Rayedem jumped when someone else joined in the conversation. His hand leapt to his chest, as if he was holding his heart. Oh Tannya, I wish you hadn't told me things. He didn't dare lowering his hand as his heart was still beating fast; he knew it was silly but he still believed in what Tannya said to him many years ago, that his heart could jump out of his chest if he didn't hold it in. Another older student? he thought. Man, she gave me a heart attack, she shouldn't have shouted.

"Hey," Rayedem said weakly, "I.. Have no idea. We all don't have any ideas." he was panting, then rubbed his chest and slowly lowered his hand, breathing easy again. He wish he'd asked for introduction but for the moment he just needed to calm himself down.

Judging from Lyra's expression, Rayedem knew that she probably didn't remember. But then her words convinced him otherwise. So, she remembers. "Yes, I am." he replied, smiling slightly, "So have you always been hanging around with Evan? I met him earlier in the owlery, but you weren't with him."

Then he remembered the last time he'd met Evan. He wasn't in exactly in the best mood, and made a mental note to apologize to him later for his rude behavior.

"Oh.. i so wish that thing either," she smiled. Barely sleeping means just having deep thoughts for her. "Maybe you could try not to sleep when homeworks start to pile."

She listened Rayedem and Lyra talk. They seemed to have met already.

And here comes another girl Vivianne hadn't seen for so long... let's just say about a year. "Melanie," she enthusiastically beamed as she pulled her into a hug. "Nah..." she shrugged.

Oh and then a familiar voice is calling out for someone... she turned her gaze at the voice and saw it was Shana. Meh!!! She missed this people sooo much. She couldn't help but laugh as Shana run her way towards Melanie.

Lyra smiled broadly when she had been right about Diagon Alley.
The question he asked afterwards was something she hadn't expected and she blushed a fierce colour of red. Why does she always do that when talking about Evan?!
"Eh, well i met him in Diagon Alley on the first day. Well he actually pushed me on the ground accidentally" she laughed. Wait it had been accidentally right?
"anyways, we started talking and bought icecreams together"

Lyra looked at the corn field again and a thought occured to her. Depite being a Slytherin, Lyra still had Gryffindor blood run through her veins and she looked back at Rayedem, Vivianne and the other people who had been walking towards them. "Right, i'm going to explore the maze" she said and turned around, secretly hoping that someone would follow her. What if she got lost?!

HMMMM. What was this?

Blue eyes took in the new addition to the school grounds.....rather tentatively. Muffin was already prancing about at her feet, wanting to go inside, and so, she knelt down, and gathered the little fluff ball in her arms, before stepping inside the maze. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH.

It's just a maze.. Not some sort of alien that's going to eat you.. Get over it mate.

Glaring at the huge bushes of maize in front of him Ashton almost clung desperately to the tails of his shirt. He was ridiculously scared of things like this when he wanted to be. And right now, he really wanted to be. Glancing up and down it, he really wanted to go in and tell himself that he wasn't scared of it at all, but he also really didn't. Looking around a bit more, his brown eyes caught onto a figure who was going into the maze.. RAWR. Leaping over to her, he grinned, he was going to be a lot more confident with someone else there... And he kind of needed her.. "Head girl, eh?"

Muffin was wiggling about, trying to slide out of Evolette's arms, but she was clinging tight. There was no way she was going to let Muffin get lost in this maze. He was too cute to get lost.

And so was she.

Evolette jumped when there was suddenly someone standing with her, a boy, a semi familiar boy. She'd not seen him at all last term, she'd been convinced that he had disappeared off of the face of the earth. "Of course." she replied, tilting her head, "I believe this is the part where you say, 'Congratulations'."

Offering the boy a smile, as Muffin tried to reach out and pat his chest, Evolette chuckled. "How have you been?" she asked.

Eep. A maze?

Curious and confused, Livvy skipped right on over to the corn. And the corn. And the CORN. And the little people that stood in front of it. Was this a comparison to how ants are like to grass? Was this a lesson? Oh GOODY! They get to learn about ants! But as Livvy looked around closer, there were paths in the corn.

Ohhh.... a maze. So it wasn't a lesson. Boo.

OMG! She had a kitteennnn! How the heck had he not noticed that before? It was just totally cute. Eeep! But that wasn't just the only cute thing around him. Evolette hadn't exactly deteriorated in the last year.. God, as if anything llike that could happen.. It couldn't... Could it? "Oh.. Yeah, I guess so." Ashton replied his teeth showing quickly as he gave her a short grin, "Congratulations Miss McKenna." Tilting his head sideways with a curious look in his eyes, "Was that right?" He added, not being able to stop the grin that came free again.

How had he been? Uhum.. Bogged down.. Adopting a twelve year old girl without meaning to.. Uh.. Yeah, that was about the main of it, but instead of going into the whole Shana business, he simply said, "Pretty good, can't complain.. Yourself?" Glancing up and down her quickly, he wondered briefly if she would agree to his little plot.

Lyra had started to move into the maze made out of stalks of corn. Vivianne again glanced around to see if anyone would follow but instead she saw a dear friend of her whom she haven't spoken to in a long while. To her excitement she had screamed her name, "LIvvvvvyyyyy... oh my, how have you been?" She couldn't help herself, she missed her. "Sorry for that," she said to no one in particular when she realised what she have done.

A maze. Somebody had grown a maze - of corn - in the grounds. Mina raised one eyebrow as she observed it with a smirk. Some people really had strange minds, didn't they? She stifled a laugh.

Oh yes, this new creation was interestingly hilarious. She grinned widely, already imagining how Aya would react whenever she met this. She rolled her eyes, careful to block her left pocket. If Michi jumped out now ... she'd never find him.

Maybe she'd come here often this year.

Pfft. Mazes.

What were they? Three? But the idea of a maze was actually quite intriguing. It couldn't help but appeal to Livvy. In truth... her nature actually was similar to a three-year-old, in many ways. So her thoughts immediately went to how much of an adventure the maze would be.

COOORRNNNNNN. COOORRNN. YUMM-OOO.

EEEEP. HER NAME! Turning around in circles to see who had called out her name so loudly and so lovingly, Livvy noticed -

"OHMYGAWD! NAAAT!" she screamed, as she bounded over to the girl and gave her big fat hug. "Dude! Where have you been?! I haven't seen you in forever! For like three or TWO years. That is a looooonng time. How have you been?"
