Choluna buys a Relena's Roaming Ravenclaws Rising stationary kit. Her mother has probably been missing her so much and, although Choluna wouldn't admit it, she was too! But she had to keep a positive attitude! She bought the stationary set and and Old- Fashioned Diary to write all of her adventures in! She also decided she might as well get the 6 quills for the price of five! Choluna loved to shop and loved a sale even more! She got 2 fragrance quills, one spellcheck quill, one color changing quill, and two everlasting quills!

Nicoletta picked up 6 quills and a sketchbook. She needed a new one anyway. She paid and left the shop with her purchase under her arm.

Phoebus strolled into Scrivenshafts with Daphne on his arm (that just sounded FANTASTIC in his head) and not a whole lot of knowledge in his noggin as to what he should do now that they'd arrived." So. Self correcting quills right?" He said, glancing over at her and then back at the display of color changing quills before him. " Maybe I'll look into getting myself a new one. The one I've got is sort of like...bent." He said, making his free hand sort of flop over, like his wrist was useless.

Daphne stared at Phoebus bent hand--wrist? Blinking up at him, she snorted a little. "That bent, huh?" asked the blond and patted the boy on the arm. Poor Bent-Quill Phoebus. Daphne would get him one if he needed one. Tugging him along to where they needed to be, instead of where Phoebus wanted to be, Miss Hopton flicked a manicured finger at the Self-Inking quills. "Oooh! I should get some of those too while I'm here. I think I'm running low."

No. No. She probably really wasn't but her trunk just was NOT full enough with school supplies! What if she ran out of ink in the middle of the night while working on a very important essay?

Inconceivable. "Get me a shopping basket." Then she considered things better. "Please."

Phoebus gave Daphne a little lopsided grin. " Yeah, just about, " He answered and then he was being pulled elsewhere. Not that he really minded it being...well, a girl doing the dragging. Now when it was Riley, it was a different story. That usually ended up in nothing but trouble for Phoebus.


This however could only end well. Right? Right?

His gaze moved over the self-inking quills but before he could comment on their useful nature, Daphne was asking/telling him to get her a basket. " Hmm? Oh yes. Shopping basket." He said, walking over and getting her a basket just like she'd asked for. " So...now it's Self-Correcting quills and Self-Inking ones, right?" He said with a small smile. He didn't know how to make very good conversation, but darn it he was gonna try.

Picking up a few (5) of each, Daphne dumped them in the shopping basket Phoebus was holding. "That seems about right," she hummed thoughtfully, drumming her fingers on her chin. "I think maybe--Oh! Look! Spell Check Quill!" Taking three of those Daphne placed in the shopping basket.

Happily, she almost skipped down the aisle, observing the quill assortment with wonderment. "I like this pink oooone," she cooed and picked two. One for her and one for Celly. Yay! "OH! Blue! Here, you can have one," said Daphne and left him no choice to argue by shoving it against his chest and dropping another one in the basket.

For Plymouth, of course. "Scented Quills?" Tentatively, Daphne picked one up and twirled it around her fingers. Huh. Odd. Slowly, she raised it to her nose and sniffed it. "Oh!" exclaimed Daphne making a face and waved the quill underneath Phoebus nose. "What does that remind you off? All I know it's that it's unpleasant. Oh. oh."

The horror.

Phoebus watched with a neutral expression as quill after quill was deposited in the basket he held until they got to the spell checking ones. " Yeah, I think you just said you needed..." He trailed off as she was spurred on by the discovery of Spell-Check quills.


He had to admit she was rather cute, the way she went down the aisle, almost skipping. He laughed a bit to himself as she oohed and ahhed over some pink quills, grabbing two of them and then giving him a blue one. " Oh. Um..thanks, Daphne." He said, holding it up a moment to study it and then holding it by his side. Another blue one went in the basket...pink for girls blue for boys. Was she buying something for another guy? He felt a rather odd twinge , but ignored it and instead smiled his usual nervous smile as she brandished an innocent looking quill at him and under his nose.

However when he caught a whiff, he wrinkled his nose and made a face as he tried to back his nose away from the smelly thing. " Honestly? Borr. Evil Beach Ball Borr." He said to her. Why on earth would someone make a quill with the fragrance of evil? He looked at some of the ink and picked up a bottle of metallic blue ink. " Hmm. Don't know what I'd use this for, but it's sort of cool." He said, looking at the liquid swirl around in the bottle.

Making a face, Daphne turned slightly away from Phoebus to pinch the bridge of her nose. Eyes closed, nose up in the air, Daphne grunted. "Do not mention that man, please. It's like I can still feel and smell his vomit all over me." Ugh. Daphne would never eat raising and cheerios ever again. Opening her eyes when the Ravenclaw went on speaking, Daphne cooed at the ink he had pulled down from the shelf. "Ooh, that's pretty! You can write letters with that, you know? Pretty? Girls like sparkly things."

At least she did. She appreciated sparkly things. Daphne put back the smelly quill and picked up another one. Sniffing it, she smiled. Vanilla. Not bad. She dropped it on the basket too.

"What else....parchment?"

Instead, Daphne ogled the charmed parchments. There was a particularly interesting set of her that had flashing little suns and swirly things on the borders. Preeeetty.

Phoebus shivered at the mention of Borr's barf. " I don't know how you could stand it," He said honestly as he gave her a sympathetic look. Phoebus had been lucky enough to escape that, somehow. But then she was on to better things. He smiled widely at her as she fussed happily over the sparkly ink he'd found. " I think they've got a whole bunch of different colors too," He said, looking at the rest. " Yeah, they've got purple, pink, orange, green, some gold too..." He said, peering at the bottles. " Hmm. Sparkly things," He mused to himself as she spoke again.

He glanced back at Daphne, shrugging as she mentioned parchment. " I tend to like plain parchment, though that one with the snitches on the border is kinda cool." He said, fingering a sheet of it before he stood back to let her peruse the paper for a bit. He looked around and laughed slightly. " So...tell me more about yourself, Daphne...if you like, that is." he added quickly, so he didn't seem like he'd been demanding the information.

Daphne was tempted to snatch a bottle of metallic purple ink but she gave the shopping basket one look and stopped. That was already more than she had planned to buy. And...who was going to carry all the bags? Certainly not her. Her hazel eyes appraised Phoebus' arms critically.

He was no Plymouth Morgan, that was for sure. He couldn't possibly carry too much. Poor cute and adorable Phoebus. Daphne would get him to work on his arms--by making her carry her bags. Good exercise.

"I just like looking at them," announced Daphne flicking her hair over her shoulder, shuffling her feet making squeaky noises with her rain boots. "They're not very practical, you know?" And Daphne was all about practicalilty. Humming she swung her feet forward in exaggerated long steps.

Squeak. Squeak. Squeak.

"My favorite color is pink, pretty obvious right?" chirped the blond to raise a brow at Phoebus paired with a sideways grin. "I don't really like sweets but I do love almond cookies. I uh...don't like dirt. I like flowers though. Pretty and nice smelling flowers."

And holding hands and...things.

Phoebus caught Daphne looking at him strangely for a moment and he looked down at himself for a moment. Was there lint or some other such offense on his shirt? Hmm. Nope. So he didn't get what that odd stare of hers was about.

She was making squeaky noises then, or rather her shoes were so he was paying attention again. " Oh, well yeah they're not practical for sure. Just fun though," he said, glancing at the decorative stuff again before moving on. He nodded slightly as she spoke and he chuckled a bit at her mentioning a dislike of dirt. " I don't mind getting dirty, but only if it's necessary.Like in Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures. " He informed her. " I like toffee. But almond cookies are good," He added with a small smile for her. " What's your favorite flower?" He asked, genuinely curious as to that answer. " And..your shoes are rather squeaky," He said, smiling more as he saw that she was sort of walking in a way that made her squeak more. " I also don't think I've ever seen someone wear purple rain boots so well," He added and realized he'd directly complimented her...so he looked away for a moment, sort of swallowing as he tried to act like it hadn't happened.

Care of Magical Creatures? Daphne wrinkled her nose and inspected some of those make-up kit things. Odd. Who needed those? Daphne patted her cheeks curiously. Luckily for her, she had pretty good complexion. Celandine's cheeks looked healthier though. Maybe because she got more exercise than Daphne ever did.

"Toffee is alright," she responded and playfully swatted at the skirt of her dress, twisting her torso a bit to and fro in a stationary twirl. "Tulips," answered Daphne quickly and sighed. "Tulips. Always Tulips. Have you ever seen a red and white tulip? They sort of open up," informed the blond and held up her closed hands together only to spread her fingers, mimicking a blossoming flower. "All pretty. More than your normal tulip? They're really pretty." Sigh.

Daphne gave a few more exaggerated steps. Squeak. Then stopped. Staring at Phoebus unblinkingly, she blushed. "Really?" she asked shyly, tugging on her cardigan suddenly. "I was going to go buy shoes...but if you think they look okay. Do I look okay?" asked Daphne, her voice going up a pitch as she struck a little pose, leg extended and one hand on her head.

HMM? Pretty?

The Ravenclaw boy laughed slightly as Daphne said tofee was just alright. He was sort of busy watching her at the moment. Distracting. " They really do sound pretty," He said, his verbal capacities seemingly having taken a backseat for the moment. She was just so pretty.

Phoebus was still trying to pretend that he hadn't been so open in his admiration of Daphne when he heard the squeaking stop suddenly. He met her gaze a bit hesitantly and then looked rather surprised when she started...posing in the store.Phoebus just stared and then nodded. " You...look fantastic. Better than okay," He blurted out after a moment. He took a breath and used his free hand to pat his hair down for a moment. " Um..so I can see you liking tulips. They suit you," He said, trying to regain himself again. " Because you're definitely pretty," His voice got quieter with each word and he punctuated the sentence with a slight and nervous laugh.

Daphne was sort of frozen in her pose, even as Phoebus talked because she was waiting for it; waiting for his outburst of utmost and absolute adoration. Because--really, she was Daphne Hopton, right? Anyone could appreciate her. Anyone who wasn't blind.

Except Phoebus wasn't really that big of a conversationalist. Giggling at him, she walked up to him and took his wrist. "You're cute, you know that, Phoebus?" she told him watching out of the corner of her eyes. "Really cute." She giggled again. "Let's go pay! Then we can go somewhere else."

Where else she didn't know--Oh oh! "We can go buy toffee!" Because he said he liked it.

Phoebus grinned rather abashedly as Daphne started giggling and telling him he was cute. " I think you're really...you're something, that's for sure," He said, obviously completely taken with her in that moment. And she was holding onto his wrist. Next stop his hand, possibly? It was possible!!! Ha! And he'd managed all of this without Riley's help too!


Her voice brought him back out of his triumphant thoughts." Pay? " he looked confused. He was still sort of in that moment, but then he realized in a second what she was talking about. " Oh. Payyyy, yeah we should do that." He said to her, fishing around for his wallet after she'd suggested toffee too. He looked up, smiling more at the mention of his favorite. " Yeah, we'll do that too. If they had almond cookies, I'd buy you some, " He told her with another little grin. " And if you'd still like to go look for...shoes," He knew girls liked their shoes, Adrienne being a perfect example," I wouldn't mind going with you. Even if I think your purple boots are quite spiffy."

Daphne took the basket from Phoebus. To do this, she had release his wrist but the blond didn't think he was going anywhere soon. His face looked flushed and erm--like he was a bit distracted. Daphne watched him, worry heavy in her body. Phoebus probably needed someone to look out for him. He seemed the sort to become disoriented suddenly and become lost.

Daphne Hopton couldn't allow him to be lost. A lost Ravenclaw was a sad thing; plus, who was going to tutor her if he got lost? Unacceptable.

"Phoebus put that away," she said sternly, reaching into one of her cardigan's pocket for a few coins. Dropping those on the counter, she paid and mumbled something about keeping the change. By the way the woman clerk wore her hair Daphne think she needed a few extra sickles.

Then she had to giggle at him. Spiffy. That was an odd choice of word. "You're so funny, Phoebus. Really. Spiffy. Who says that now a days?"

Except for Phoebus? Gesturing at the bags on the counter, Daphne cleared her throat. "We go now?"

"I can't believe my ink wells dried up. They must have been defected." Jaxx Bisera was in disbelief at the current state of her ink wells. Her father had reassured her that they would never go dry. But then her father had concocted the ink himself and that was never a recipe for success.

Approaching the ink wells she felt a knot begin to form in her throat. She was useless at making decisions. Did she want black, blue, red, off black, grey. . .The options were endless!

"I have a feeling I'm going to be here for hours." Reaching for the first ink well she began to read the label. Process of elimination is what she would do. To some its just ink, but to Jaxx its life or death. The wrong ink well could lead to bad things.

Tavelon stepped into the shop and paused in the doorway. The whole place smelt like parchment. Tavelon took in a deep breath, then realized it was getting cold. He entered and shut the door behind him. After examining the listed items, he stepped up to the front counter.

"How much are the quills? And the sketchbook?" he asked.

After what seemed like a lifetime (only 15 minutes to be exact) Jaxx reached for a slender bottle of black ink. "I guess this will do. . .if not I'm doomed." Jaxx had a knack for the dramatics. She sometimes got carried away.

Jaxx paid the shopkeeper for the ink and rejected the paper bag that was offered to her. "No thank you I happen to love trees." Jaxx smiled at the kind shopkeeper before turning and making her way to the door.

Tavelon took the opportunity and pulled out his camera, taking his final picture of the quills and other supplies.

OOC: Do the hogsmede shops work like Diagon alley? Are there spec. ops rping as shopkeepers?

Loosening the scarf from her neck, Mina made her way into the shop. Glancing up at the list, she nodded as she took in all the possible things she could get for gifts. What else would a bookworm give as gifts? Obviously, quills and book related things.

Heading over to the quills she picked a few out for herself and moved on to the parchment. She was running low after all. Presents...oh yes, she did need those too. Off to the stationary section she went to gather some. Odd to gift stationary, if one doesn't write home that often. 'Oh do be quiet' she told that silly inner voice of hers.

Gathering all she needed for the moment she made her way up to pay for her items. Noticing a few other items, she added them to her pile of items and waited in line to purchase her items. Such a nice store. Very quiet and calming.

Copernicus was definitely spending far too much time wasting parchment with doodling and terrible attempts at poetry. It was only December and he was nearly out. He grabbed a case of the heavy grade A parchment and hauled it toward the counter, stopping to check out every single quill along the way. Not that he needed any, but it was nice to be out and about.

A mysterious, cloaked, figure entered the quill shop (after coming from the direction of the Hog's Head). No face could be seen beneath the hood, but the figure gave the impression of looking around the shop. Seeming to have found what it was looking for, it stepped up to a boy and in a raspy whisper asked, "Do you know where they keep the red ink?"

"Hmm?" Copernicus glanced up at the figure. And then had to glance again. Hello, creepy much? He occasionally spotted hags around Hogsmeade, but this creepy outfit was definitely male.

"Uh. Yeah, the ink is back there," he pointed to the line of ink pots stacked next to some bins containing multi-colored quills. "I think the red is by the window?"
