Christine mouth opened in awe as she walked into the student gardens. She shifted the heavy bag she was carrying to another sholder. She was in the mood to paint, so she was carrying all the tools necessary. She found a spot that was surrounded by some particularly beautiful flowers. She put her bag down with a thud, and rubbed her sholder. She opened her bag and pulled out a small easle and set it up on the floor. She then continued to pull out her canvas, paints, and brushes. She spent about ten minutes looking at the different flowers, then picked up a brush and started painting.

The sweet fragrance which was coming from the garden didnt let her go crossed the garden without stepping in. Ella walked in carefully not to crush or spoil any plants since most of them were flower plants. Flowers are wingless angels from the heaven according to her. And the place looked so different this time with all pink shades. Hmm..very girlish...

She stood there, enjoying the whole environment for a while. Also she spotted a girl who was painting the canvas. She went closer to her, "Hello, may I look your painting?" her voice was soft, not startling the girl.

Christine wiped her hand across her forehead. She smiled down at her finished work. She loved the arts, and wish she had more time to do them. She head someone come up to her. Hi Christine said looking up at her from the floor. Sure, no problem Christine said as she grabbed her canvas and turned it so the girl could see it.

Ella smiled at the girl and knelt beside her on the floor. She took the canvas in her hand, watching the finished painting...flowers..pink flowers, very suitable to the atmosphere. Her deep brown eyes widened a bit, "Wow..this's amazing.." she nodded, her eyes were still on the canvas, "the color combination and strokes are so...nice..and lovely.." she added, looking up at her eyes, "I'm glad to meet you here, I'm Ella Stone, final year..." said, held out her hand.

Thank you Christine said with a smile on her face. I'm Christine Proctor, third year. It's nice to meet you. She said while raising her hand. She saw it had some paint on it, so she wiped her hand on her pants, then took Ella's in hers and shook it.

"You're welcome," Ella smiled at her, took another glance at the painting. She noticed that the girl looked uneasy over her paint stained hand to shake hers. She gently placed the painting on the floor in the safe distance. Mhmm..something is going to happen here..

"dont worry about the paints in your hand..Christine.." she said and took some pink paint from the box, rubbed it gently over the girl's tip of the nose. "Now you can retreat..." she said, laughing, waiting for the girl's reaction. Oh Ella is back..and..what's the poor girl is going to do now...
Grinned.

Christine raised her eyebrows when Ella put some paint on her nose. She used the sleeve of her shirt to wipe the paint of her face. She then stood up from the floor to stretch out her legs. Who does this girl think she is Christine thought to herself. Who said I was going anywhere she said with some attitude coming through her voice. She started to chew on the inside of her lip, feeling some anger come on.

Awe..the girl looked serious..all her soft expressions were gone. Was she angry? Oh..afterall she was doing that for fun. what's in the world without some fun to get a healthy friendship. Great..your calculations went wrong Ella..again..

She leaned in, "Nah..I said, you can have fun on me..umm..with paints.." she said, "sorry for the miscomunication..and..sorry for the paint..too.." she straightened his pose, looking at her pink shaded hands.

Christine calmed down quickly. Ugh she thought to herself. She need not get angry at people, because it never ended well, but that was something she couldn't control, or she should saw had not learn to control yet. Christine was going to get a hold on whatever this was that she had, and no one else would suffer for it.

I'm sorry she said to the girl, hoping things wouldn't turn awkward. I just have this condition........... and well.............. I'm sorry she repeated again, knowing that she would not be able to explain the fact that she was, well, weird for a lack of a better word.

Auralie walked into the student garden and smiled softly as the sweet smell of the flowers wafted to her knows. Auralie loved anything to do with flowers. She smiled and looked around the small garden and saw two people talking. Trying to become friends with more people she began to speak.

"Hello Ella, Christine" she smiled softly she remembered hearing their names somewhere classes or something but she wasn't sure. "I'm Aura don't know if we met...not exaclty new or anything but I was kind of the shy type before just saying hi!"

Nancy stopped dead in her tracks as she realized that she was standing right in front of the Student Garden. Staring at the greenhouse in front of her in utter disbelief for a few minutes Nancy bit her lip before slowly entering the slightly creepy student garden. She'd never ever been in here, and she wouldn't have believed to ever walk into it on her own accord. Gee! There really was something wrong with her!
Sighing almost unaudibly Nancy walked past the different plants, none of which she could have put a name to, always keeping her distance from them. Who knew, maybe they'd jump at her? What was she doing in here in the first place? With a confused look on her face Nancy stopped and for the first time took in her surroundings properly. Her blue eyes immediately fell on the plant she was standing next to which looked sort of dangerous, at least in her eyes, causing her to jump away from it with a small shriek escaping her lips. Eep! She really should get out of her again as quickly as possible.

"Shh...You are scaring the plants.." A gentle voice flowed like a trickling stream.

Sitting cross legged was a boy at the edge of the pond, hands held near a dark colored lotus that sat proudly atop the waters surface as if it were radiating heat If one was quiet enough, you could almost hear the plants breathing in his carbon dioxide with each exhale from the Hufflepuffs lungs.

Still eying the suspicious looking plant Nancy carefully kept her distance from it her right hand on her wand in case the plant was somehow going to attack her. You could never know with those. Her blue eyes quickly glanced at the boy who'd addressed her before turning her attention back to the plant. Never let your enemies think you're not watching them. Although, could plants think? For all Nancy knew they could be able to. Without looking back at the boy Nancy replied rather sarcastically, "Right. Scare them. Should I maybe start singing lullabies so that they can sleep properly." But maybe the boy was right. Maybe plants could be scared, which would mean that they could also think. Eep!

The girls nervousness was palpable. It was as if he had taken root and could feel her shuffling about, while his eyes were locked on that lonely little flower in front of him. "I believe they would enjoy a song. Though I do not believe they will fall asleep...They are eager listeners." Helios spoke slowly, gently breathing after every word, his calm in direct proportion to her anxiousness.

Hearing the boy's next words Nancy did pull her gaze away from the creepy plant and her blue eyes moved to stare at the boy. This boy so wasn't talking sense right now! Eager listeners, riiight. Next he was probably going to tell her that they were afraid of the dark, so they were in need of a special lighting system so it wasn't completely dark during the night. Gee! Apparently she wasn't the only one who was feeling a bit odd these days. Still staring at the boy trying to figure out whether or not he was just making fun of her Nancy opened her mouth to reply but what was there to say? That she would suggest he should go see a healer to check if there was something wrong with his brain? Probably not. She ended up saying, "I'm still not going to sing, though. Maybe you want to but I definitely won't." She really should have come here in the first place, it was full of awkward people.

Of course they're afraid of the dark! They need sunlight for photosynthesis! Helios thought calmly, before finally looking at who he was exchanging such preposterous banter with. Though she looked confused and maybe a bit agitated, the Greek boy laughed. "Me? No...no. Some people are not to be heard singing. Even by plants."

Smiling in the sunlight that gave his gold hair a certain glimmer, Helios rose to his feet, the ebony lotus fading to a dark blue color. Crazy? Maybe a little.

Even though the hormones inside her were, judging by the weird feeling in her stomach, currently dancing tango due to the boy's goldish blonde hair, Nancy's obvious annoyance with the boy was the dominant emotion in her body at the moment. What kind of a conversation was that in the first place? And why was what the boy had to say making her even more anxious about this whole place than she'd already been? Was it actually possible that those plants were able to think? Were they maybe currently working out a plan right behind her back how do best attack her? Eep!

Nancy whirled around at that thought to face the plants again her hand immediately flickering to her wand in case she needed to defend herself. But the plant hadn't moved an inch, it was still in the very same position it had been the last time she'd looked. She was very slowly starting to get really paranoid. And she needed to get out of this creepy greenhouse at once. "So, it was nice talking to you." Okay, that was a downright lie but whatever. "But I really gotta go now. Bye." And with that said Nancy dashed out of the Student Garden.

After leaving Professor Bunbury's office, Emalyn headed down to the Student Garden. It was so beautiful, she couldn't believe it. Her mother had a garden back home, but it was nothing like this one. The Student Garden seemed to have leaves, plants and flowers of every color. It made her feel like sitting in the middle of them and having a nap. Of course she didn't do this.

She looked around at the other students and smiled their way. She walked among the flowers and couldn't dream of being anywhere else.

Kaitlynn walked into the garden and looked at all the colorful plants around her. She wanted a quiet place where she could do this, and there wasn't a lot of other students around to disturb. This place seemed like it was extremly peaceful, she wondered why she'd never been here before.

She walked down a pathway with her notebook and quill in her hand. She picked the pink bench that stood out and sat down on it. Now all she had to do was wait for the prefect to show up, but she didn't know who she was looking for.

Fist curled around a piece of parchment, Clifford wandered into the student gardens. He'd never been here before ... and never really had the desire to either. Plants and flowers and stuff were for girls. EW! Even the benches were pink! How gross.

He'd received a letter though, from a Kaitlynn Hayman, asking him to meet here for an interview or something. Heh. He'd much rather lounge around in the Common Room, munching on chocolate frogs, but he was a Prefect now.. he supposed he had to at least try make some effort. Right. But ... how was he meant to know who Kaitlynn Hayman was?

Well, there was only one way to find out. "Erm, 'scuse me?" He asked, approaching a girl who was sitting on one of the gross pink benches. Shudder. "You don't happen to know where I can find a Kaitlynn Hayman d'you?"

Kaitlynn looked up as someone said something to her. It took a minute for her to comprehend it, she had let herself be taken into the quiet of the garden.

Kait stood up and said, "I'm Kaitlynn, but please, it's just Kait." She looked at him for a minute, and thought that he was about her age. "Are you Clifford?" she asked him. If he was this was who she was supposed to be interviewing.

Still confused from the last student that made the mistake of engaging him in conversation, Helios returned his attention to some nearby flowers. Petals seemed to stretch open in his presence, as if they were feeding on the radiance of his sunshine hair, just as he fed on the flowers beauty to instill within himself a sense of calm and well being seldom found behind the castle walls.

She was Kaitlynn Hayman? Well, that hadn't been as difficult as he'd been expecting.. which was good, 'cause he didn't fancy wandering around this stinky garden. Honestly, that flowery smell was just awful. It reminded him of Great Aunt Gertrude.

"Just Kait.. uhm.. right. Yeah, I'm Clifford." The sixth year nodded, shuffling his feet slightly as he thrust the parchment away in his pocket. "So you er - wanted to interview me or something?" He asked, scratching at his head unsurely. That was cool ... as long as he didn't have to sit on that pink bench. No chance.

Kait closed her eyes for a second so that he couldn't see her roll her eyes at his obvious dislike for standing in the garden.

"Yes, I'm on the Quill staff, and I decided that I'd interview one of the new prefects for the Student Spotlight. Is that okay with you?" She opened her mouth to speak but then shut it again deciding against saying that it was possible to do this somewhere else if he didn't want to stay in the garden, but if he wanted to go somewhere else she'd leave that up to him.

"So mainly, I'd like this to be about you being a prefect, and the things that you do that are 'un prefectly'" she said, quoting the last part with her hands as she spoke.
