After she had run through several corridors, Elizabeth had found herself slipping into the library. It wasn't really that she thought they couldn't find her here, she just felt safe here. And she was hoping they had continued to not notice she had even been down there during that argument.

Walking quietly down the pathway between shelves, she grabbed a book blindly and then found herself heading toward the stained glass windows, and the comfy chairs that were over there. Once she arrived, she curled up into a tiny ball in one of the chairs, and before she could look at the book, she remembered when she had talked to Nicholai here last term. Before she had been thrown into all this chaos. Staying curled up in the ball for a few minutes, she sat quietly, trying to relax, before finally uncurling herself enough to get more comfortable and reaching for the book. She didn't really even care what it was about; at least it should take her mind off what had happened down there.

She cracked a smile when she saw it was about vampires, and how to identify them, and shrugged to herself. She didn't think she was ever going to need the information, but didn't see how it would hurt. So she opened the book and started to read.

Cayden was exploring Hogwarts as he had managed to find the library. he wanted to look around and see which library was better. The one here or the other. He had looked around the library in the creature section as he was trying to find a book about certain creatures, but it seemed that they didnt have any. This was a drag. Now he was going to have to wait till he could actually go out and buy one. he came around to see an area with a stain glass window. it was quite nice. he looked around to see a girl sitting in a ball like their was something the matter with her. he looked around as he didnt seen anyone else. He hoped she didnt start crying and if anyone asked it wasnt his fault. He found her this way. He looked closer as she had a book in her hands. Maybe it was the book he was looking for. Just his luck that someone else had it. he made his way over to her as he stood their for a few seconds before clearing his throat."erh. Hi." he said as he gave her a smile."You okay. You look..." he moved to point at her and then make a circle with his hands."Yeah.." he put his hands away as he was sure he looked a little stupid."Hey what book is that?"

Elizabeth found herself actually getting into the book as she kept reading, a bit surprised since she had thought it was so ridiculous beforehand. But once she had started reading, all she had been taught before about vampires started coming back into her head and she actually started thinking that finding them around wasn't as hilarious a thought as previously believed. And then she heard the sound of someone clearing their throat behind her, and it took her a few seconds to get her head out of the book to realize someone was standing there.

Looking over, she saw the Slytherin boy from the feast standing there, and smiled a bit at him. He looked like he wasn't exactly sure what he was supposed to be doing. "Hi," she said, "Cayden, right?" She tilted her head a bit, indicating that he could sit down if he wanted. Most likely making them both more comfortable, since she wouldn't have to look up as much. "I'm okay. I just ended up being a witness to a big fight, needed to get away for a bit," she explained, before closing the book as she shifted to look at him more closely, keeping a finger inside the book to mark her place. When he asked her about it, she twisted it around so he could see the title. "I just kind of randomly picked it up off a shelf on my way here. It's actually pretty interesting."

he looked at her as she already knew his name. How exactly did that happen? its not she knew anyone that he knew. Not that he knew at least. he gave her a weak smile as it was still a bit weird."No thanks I've been sitting for awhile. Standing is nice." he said as he then heard about a big fight. hoped no one got hurt. He always lost when it came to Teage and him fighting. he came to stand beside her as he looked down at the book she was reading. Just his luck. Thats the one he was looking for." When you get done with that one i would like to see that." he told her as he then sat down. He made himself comfortable as he propped up his feet with a chair and slid himself down in the chair a little. he figured it would be awhile.

Elizabeth scrunched up her face apologetically for a second as she realized he had gotten confused as to how she knew his name. "I'm sorry," she then said. "I'm friends with Mari, Robert and Ludo. And when you came over to talk to Mari during the feast, I kind of asked your name," she explained. She nodded as he said he'd prefer to stand, but tried not to feel tiny and awkward as he moved over to her chair in order to read the title of the book. When he said he wanted to look at that book, then sat down to wait, she smiled. Shrugging a little, she withdrew her finger from inside the book. It wasn't like she couldn't remember what page she had been on. Then she held it out to him, leaning forward a little to stretch across the distance. "Here. It's not like it's that big of a deal that I finish it right now. Although, if you don't mind me asking, is there a specific reason you wanted to look at this book, or just general knowledge?"

Miles thought he would never find himself around here, obviously he was wrong. The stained glass windows? What was so special about them? Apart the fact that they were pretty. He didn't realize how many places he hadn't really seen at Hogwarts, and he'd been here for 4 year already!

He stood just infront of one, and looked up, Miles liked how detailed they were mainly, and how the sun from outside made the glass all sparkly.

He looked at her as had started to explain how she knew his name. Mari, robert and ludo. man that was a messy bunch. He got into trouble for being around mari, Robert was on a high alert when he was around and ludo thought he was trying to steal any girl from underneath his feet. Really that could go for robert as well. he gave her a sympathetic smile as he then told her." Im sorry." Man, im that circle it was i eatchu world. when she passed the book to him he gave her another smile as he took it from her. At least now he could get his reading done rather quick and find kayla. He needed that tour and he really didnt want to carry around these beans any more. "Doesnt really matter does it?" he asked her as he moved to open it. he flipped through some of the pages and started to read.

Val walked into the library with a look of wonder on her face. The library has always been her place, she just felt so at peace there. She found a corner with beautiful stained glass windows. She smiled and took a seat near the windows and picked up a book from home.

Elizabeth tilted her head to one side in confusion as Cayden apologized to her upon finding out who she was friends with. "Um, why? I mean, yeah, it can get pretty dramatic sometimes. But I can deal with it. At least most of the time." She had that permission to hit Robert, at least. And she had no idea what the problem could be with Ludo.

She smiled as he then took the book, and leaned back into her chair. "No, not really. I was just curious. I mean, it's not really one of those books you'd expect too many people to find interesting . . ." She trailed off as he started to read, not certain if she would be interrupting if she continued to talk. Then she shifted position to look out one of the windows for a while

he turned from his book to look at her as he gave her another smile." Good for you. You'll have no promblem them." except for the bit where he was trying to read. he turned back to his book as he was almost finished when she started back up. She was a real chatter box. he stared at her as she rambled on. "uh...here is the book back. I'll just get another book." he said as he pushed it back towards her as he headed towards the book shelves." nice meeting you."

Elizabeth nodded, still looking out the window, as he said she shouldn't have a problem. Of course she shouldn't. She didn't need him to tell her that. Of course, apparently if Mari and Robert hadn't been the way they were, and if they could just realize that they shouldn't let her friendship seem like anything else and realize they seriously liked each other, she wouldn't have to deal with it. And if Robert could just realize Mari's demeanor around guys like Cayden didn't make her like him any less . . .

She broke off her interior diatribe as Cayden spoke again, pushing the book back toward her. "But you said you needed that one," she said, confused. "Did you get what you needed?" Her green eyes followed him, still confused, as he stood up to move back toward the bookshelves. "Um, nice meeting you, I guess," she managed to say. "I'm Elizabeth, by the way." Just in case he was curious. Since she was fairly certain she hadn't actually introduced herself before now. And as far as she knew, meeting someone included getting their name. As he disappeared into the bookshelves again, she turned back to the window, gazing out, still completely mystified as to what exactly had gone on.

Sienna sat in front of the colored glass, watching the reflected colors shine - on her soft chestnut brown curls, on the glassy, almost translucent skin of her arms, even, she could see in the reflection in the glass, her chocolate brown eyes. Her fingers were tracing the lead that held the glass together, her eyes looking at the colors more than the shapes.

This was her favorite place in the entire library, of course - she loved being here. Almost too many good memories.

Little did she know, however, that if she stood up, she'd run face-first into a seriously tall boy.

The past few seconds went pretty quickly. One minute hw was staring at the pretty lights which the sun made through the decorative window. The next minute, he was knocked back slightly as a young girl bumped into him, but it would have hurt her more than him. "Woah." Miles stepped back, although he was forced to from the force of the girl, and placed his hands on her shoulders. "You alright?"

Paris walked into the library with her bag tucked under her arm. She we still have trouble with her disappearing bomb. She wanted to get it right and she needed some help, but she didn't want to ask anyone for help. She wanted to get a patent for it. She walked past all the shelves, she scanned the titles of the books. She want to the Invisibility Task Force handbook first. She pulled the book off the shelf and then selected. Then she pulled down the 101 ways to do a perfect Disillusion charm.

She found a private table and sat down. She pulled out her Invention notebook. It was a beautiful notebook that she made herself. It crackled with sweet smelling charms that were supposed to distract you if you weren't Paris. She didn't want anyone else reading her stuff. She turned to the newest invention section and looked over her figures. She opened the library books and started to read.

Celandine bounded (as quietly as it was possible to bound) into the library. She found a spot where there was a little sun, carefully placed her bag down and took a seat. It was homework time. She figured she'd start on the parts she could do on her own and then maybe haunt her waaay too crowded common room to do the discussiony bit.

Running her fingers through her hair and absently corkscrewing a strand around her finger; Cela examined her card: Beatrice Bloxam. It was a pretty good one for the assignment but she'd much rather have had the exploding tuba or disappearing tapdancer one.

Hmmm.

She began taking notes and scribbling down random thoughts about Beatrice Bloxam.

Rachel entered the library, her bag filled with all her History of Magic books and references. She sat down on one of the quiet benched in the corner of the library, pulled out her books and began doing her homework. She was really glad to have received Dumbledore as her Chocolate Frog card, since he was really famous and she knew lots about him without the need of books anyway.

Smiling, she saw that she was on the last question and quickly read it; excited at the prospect of finishing her homework. Her face fell slightly as it became apparent that she would have to find a partner in order to complete the assignment and that usually took forever. She packed her things dejectedly and got up, ready to leave the library when she spotted Cela sitting not too far off.

She looks busy... But maybe we can meet up later to do it? Making her way over, she smiled as she reached her friend and gently tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey Cela! Listen, I was wondering if you would like to be my partner for the History of Magic homework? It's ok if you can't do it now, but maybe later?" she asked her with a smile, happy to have a friend she knew she could count on.

"Hey Rachel!" Celandine greeted, "ooooh lets do it now!" Cela bounced slightly, "This homework looks great- it's practically made for Ravenclaws!" Cela grinned and held up her card, "Beatrice Bloxam, the writer of the toadstool tales. Who did you get?"

Rache grinned, it was lovely to have a friend like Cela. "Yep, it's tailor made for us specifically!" she said with an excited smile, then raised her eyebrows at Cela's card. "Wow, you managed to get a completely obscure Famous Witch. I got a much simpler and more well known Wizard," she replied with a sly grin and pulled out her card from the inside of her robe and showed it to Cela with a flourish. "Behold - Albus Dumbeldore!" she announced in a formal voice, as if she were introducing some sort of rare animal at the zoo.

Tobi had been looking for Celadine most of the day, she was a wiley thing. She had said something in class about bringing Arithmancy together with their HoM homework and he wanted to see if she was still interested. He certainly was.

He found her in the library, at the stained glass windows, with Rachel Rider, Cale's co-prefect.

"Hello ladies, Cela, Rachel. Sorry to interupt, I was hoping to talk to Cela about History of Magic, she had this really cool idea in class I'd like to try if she wants." Tobi stumbled a little. He didn't want to make Rachel feel like she wasn't welcome too, even if he had been looking specifically for Cela. "... Er... So what card did you get, Rachel?"

She looked up from the book she was reading and heard some girls talking about the history of magic homework. She hadn't even gone to the class, but her house prefects were getting maniacal about everyone doing their homework. She didn't have any partners yet and she figured she might as well get some so she could do this homework and get it over with. She walked around the stack that she was behind ready to be nice and ask if she could join the group with she saw it was Curls and another girl. Paris kept her face straight as she continued over to them. If that girl gave her any lip she was going to rap her on the head with her wand.

"Is there room for one more?" She asked with a smile on her face as she looked at Curls and another Ravenclaw she didn't know. Well Curls was the only blue person that she knew anyways. She was tucking her books back into her bag so they wouldn't see her invention book and make fun of her about it.

Rachel blinked as someone she didn't know walked towards her and Cela. Wait, he knows my name? Rachel racked her brains, trying to work out if maybe they had met before and she had forgotten. Positive that she didn't know him, she said, "Hello. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't know your name. It's ok, go right ahead. And I got him," she said with a beaming smile, showing him Albus Dumbledore.

Rachel smiled as yet another person joining their little group, this time a girl. "Yes, of course. My name is Rachel, it's nice to meet you," she said with a friendly grin. She obviously knew Cela, so she must be a nice person. Well, if the term continues like this, I'll definitely know the whole of Hogwarts by Christmas!

She smiled and sat down. "Thank you," She said honestly to Rachel. "I'm Paris by the way. Its nice to meet you Rachel," She offered. She started to unpack her notebook and her card so they could get to work.

She looked up when that boy from the train walked over. Was he stalking her or something. He always just stepped out of the shadows like a tall ninja. "I'm not fighting I promise," She smirked up at him. He was so tall! There should be a law against it.

"Anytime. It's lovely to meet you Paris," she replied with a genuine smile. I think I may have just met my first nice Slytherin, she thought to herself, remembering her horrid partner from last year. "So, what card did you get?" she asked then looked confused as Paris made a strange statement to the boy that joined them a second before Paris. "Er... Do I want to know?" she asked with an amused smirk, already liking this Paris girl.

Tobi smiled at Rachel, and all the shorter girls. "Tobi Avalon. I'm Cale's friend. He's mentioned you a few times."

He turned to the Slytherin girl with the questionable attitude. "And I remember you, you were on the train at the snack cart, Paris, was it?"
