She had no idea how she ended up where she did, but she did. Paris looked around totally lost...This place was huge and then everything moved around! At her old school things knew their place and they stayed there. Well she was here alone this was as good of a place to test out her latest creation as any other place.

She set down her bag and rummaged through it looking for her disappearing bomb. She set the little thing down on the ground. Soon four little grubby legs poked out of the bomb and it walked around the floor slowly. She head it ticking and that gave you 10 seconds. She hopped with anticipation of it working. She had spent the last couple of nights in the library looking things up and reworking the clockwork.

She plugged her ears and waited.

KABOOM

The blast knocked her backwards and she fell over and tumbled into the statue that was on the landing. Her head conked against it and she blinked a few times as stars burst in front of her eyes. She lay there for a few minutes while the smoked cleared. She hoped it had worked, but nothing disappeared.

The broken pieces of the bomb were still there. She stood up covered in dust. She looked like a clown with her whole face a chalk white from the flying dust and debris. "Back to the drawing board," She said to no one at all.

Cale wandered up to the statue of Lachlan the Lanky, thinking that he would probably get a good view from his telescope if he looked out the window next to the statue. His plans were interrupted, however, when he noticed that there was debris everywhere, like he had just walked into a war zone. A few feet away, Paris Greenwood was covered in dust. Ahh, he should have known!

"What is going on here?" he demanded, glaring at the Slytherin. She had blown something up, hadn't she? He just KNEW it. All that talk in Diagon Alley had actually led up to her exploding something.

"I believe he meant to say: Are you okay?" Helios approached from behind the Gryffindor prefect, a hand placed on his shoulder.

"Surely she would not be foolish enough to do that to herself?" The Hufflepuff said, as his cloudy blue eyes shot a glance at the young Slytherin girl. The badger had no love for snakes, but his love for trouble saw him playing interference with a lion.

Mariska walked along the hall, turning just after the statue where she paused to adjust her bag on her shoulder. She looked at this statue and then realized that this was where she had met that horribly obnoxious boy last term. She hoped she wouldn't run into him again.

Cayden yawned as his owl sat on his shoulders. he Pep watched everything around him as Cayden barely watched where he was going. he took a deep breath as he felt like he was a ghost moving through the floor. he was looking down at a piece of parchment as he didnt notice something in his way. BAMN! Cayden had crashed into the statue as he ended up on the floor. he chuckled weakly as at least no one was around to see it.

Mari looked up sharply as she heard the sound of something hitting the statue, and when she turned to look, it was Cayden that had made the noise. " Cayden?" She asked, quite confused. " Oh." She said, turning a bit paler. " I think you gave yourself a bloody nose." She said, reaching for her wand.

He heard his name as he lifted his head to see who it was. Mari. "ughh." he said as he put his head back on the ground as he just laid there. Great. Just when he didnt think it could get worse. He runs into a statue and someone was there to see him. "what?" he started to sit up as he felt his nose. Yep. "No. It's alright, i got it." he told her as he leaned his head back a little."Wouldnt be the first time i've gotten one." he gave her a week smile as he felt stupid as it is."You dont have to stay. Unless you like to see me as a fool."

Mariska sighed and moved closer to Cayden. " You're not foolish, you just need to look where you're walking." She said, laughing a bit. " Let me help," She said, giving the silent incantation to fix the nose bleed. " See? Better, yes?" She said, watching him with a mixture of pity and care. " You know, you are quite adorable when you're all goofy like this." She said, kneeling next to him as he leaned back still.

"Or not be tired." he corrected to her as he sighed a little."Really im fine." he told her as the next thing he knew it had stopped bleeding. he pulled his hand away as he moved to wipe the rest away with his sleeve. "Thanks." he told her as he nodded a little."yeah." he cleaned his hand with his sleeve as she told him he was adorable."I guess. More annoying if you ask me." he gave her a small smile as he asked," so what are you doing?"

Mari tilted her head to the side a bit as Cayden spoke to her and she shrugged. " I was just going to go into the common room, that's all." She said, smiling at him a bit more. She really did like him, despite liking Robert as well. " And you're not annoying. Just so you know." She added quickly. " So you left the study group really...abruptly. Did something happen?" She asked, her words tentative as she didn't quite know if he would want her asking so many questions.

he snickered as she told him he wasnt annoying."Thanks again." he told as she was asking now about the letter. he sighed a little as it was a little difficult to explain the letter."My sister happened." he teased a little though he was serious."Its rough for her." he started to play with his ring on his hand as he was figiting."she gets into trouble all the time and im the one who kept her out of trouble. Parents are worst then the ghost around here. She's all i have. I guess i feel responsible for her." he sighed again as he was still playing with his ring."I should of stayed. she's going to get herself into trouble above her own head."

Mari watched as Cayden started playing with the ring on his hand while explaining why he had left so abruptly. She nodded, sensing that there was more to what he was saying, but she didn't feel the need to pry just then. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you talk about something that was uncomfortable." She said quietly. " But I think it's good of you to take care of her. I don't have any siblings, so no one's ever been able to look out for me," She said with a little smile.

he smiled a little as he shook his head."Its alright. Im just worried about her and a bit frustrated that im here and she's there. Not much i can do for her."he waited till she had finished speaking before he started again."You have me.I'll look after you. I mean at least you wont run into anything seeing as i'll do it first." he teased a little."and if i had to tell people about my family i dont mind it being you." he gave her another smile as he hoped it would make her feel better.

Mariska shrugged. " I understand the frustration, it's hard being away from home sometimes." She didn't say her mother, she just said her home where a lot of good friends and close cousins still lived. Her mother...well she didn't want to think about her. She smiled and reached out to casually brush a bit of Cayden's hair out of his eyes as he told her she'd have him to look out for her. " Of course. I wouldn't have anyone else watch out for random statues for me." She teased back, smiling at him. " I'm glad you feel like you can tell me things. I feel the same about you." She said, being honest with him.

"Yeah it is. Im pretty sure France is still better." he said honestly as he shrugged a little." But this place is improving." he watched her as she moved his hair out of his face and was talking about something.Snap out of it."cool." he said as he stared at her. he stared at her a little as he was sure she was one of the prettiest girls here. She was funny and she made him feel better. Holy cow he was being all girly with all this feelings crap."you look beautiful today." he told her as he leaned over kiss her.

Mariska laughed again as Cayden spoke about the comparison between France and England. " Sometimes I think the same thing." She said, giving him a knowing look. " But like you say, it's not so horrible anymore." She said. She watched him closely as a slightly glazed over look came over his face and then he was just staring at her. " Cayden?" She said his name once and then he spoke, seemingly at random again. " Thank you?" she said and then suddenly she was being kissed. Her eyes closed for a moment and then she opened them, pulling back from Cayden. " I guess the thank you was sort of redundant, since you got a kiss out of it too." She said, smiling at him and then looking down as she blushed a bit.

he chuckled a little as he watched her get a little flustered in her face. "you've erh.. got something right here." he said as he moved to stroke her cheek a few times where she was blushing."i would have to say its improving." he told her as he grinned."I Like both. One is more entertaining then the others, but thank you verbally is great. I wouldnt want everyone thanking me this way. I hope im not that popular."

Mariska smiled more as Cayden brushed his fingers across her cheek, and then she gave him a slightly mischievous look. " I'm sure you wouldn't mind if a lot of beautiful girls were to thank you the more entertaining way." She said, leaning back to smile up at him. " However, maybe for now...I'll be the one to do it." She said, wondering why this was entirely too easy to do with Cayden.

he chuckled a little when she told him that he wouldnt mind girls kissing him."Possibly. I prefer you." he told her honestly as their was only about two other girls he had met that he would allow them to kiss him. Others would just have to get into line. Or go stand in line behind teage...though they would have to deal with vivi.Not a very smart choice."sounds like a plan to me." he told her honestly as he then asked."so you want to take a walk? see if can avoid statues and you water? We make a quite a pair for disaster dont we?" he snickered as he was sure to have chaos where they went.

Mari bit her lip slightly as Cayden told her he preferred her to do said kissing in...whatever this was between them. " Good," She said, giving him a quick peck on the cheek. " A walk sounds nice. Maybe I can help you avoid statues while you help me avoid water." She said seriously before she laughed. " You're right, we are quite a pair of disastrous people when one thinks on it." She said as she took his hand in hers. " Where do you want to go?" She asked, her gaze moving to his.

he moved to his feet as he thought about where he wanted to go."probably down seeing as we cant really go up." he smiled a little bit as he had a small idea."You know what i think would fun? Not aloud, but fun. Sliding down the stair cases. Probably best to do it near the first floor. Just someone looses their balance. Just a little fun." he took a moment to think about what floor they should go to as he held her hand."Is their a floor with a portrait...something with dancing..maybe hippos?" he asked curiously."And i have a feeling you will have to work harder then i will. Their is more statues then water inside."

Mari looked up at Cayden curiously as he mentioned dancing hippos. " Aside from sliding down staircases...which, incidentally happened last term. Some second years went a bit crazy," she said, skating over the details of what happened. " There is a painting of some dancing Trolls, but...only my friend, Asteira Blood used to call them hippos. Did you know her or is this a coincidence?" She asked. " And...this is true. So just hold my hand the whole time and we'll be good." She said, smiling at him again.

"Ahh someone has already found out my idea. shame. it would of been fun." though he was wondering about the second years going a bit crazy."Crazy as in...? they had too many butterbeers, To much sugar and they started to bounce around like bouncy balls, or they were already crazy and this was just them coming out?"dancing trolls. Right thats what she had said they were. where did she get dancing hippos?

he smiled at her as he shrugged a little."a story for another day." he told her as she asked that he just hold her hand."whatever you like." he assured her as he then motioned towards the stairs." Show me this painting?" he asked her as he wanted to see it.

If she had known things were going to be this way, she might as well have stayed locked up in her bedroom for the rest of her life, as she had threatened Davis to do over the summer. Unfortunately, Daphne Hopton had a habit of making empty threats and always chickening out at the last minute.

Her weight on her left leg, Daphne allowed her wavy blond hair, tied up in low pigtails, to swish to one side. Pinning her bangs back was a hot pink hair beret, and braided through her own braids was the pink ribbon embroidered with gold Celandine had purchased for the both of them at Hogsmeade. How young and fragile it made her look was not her problem. Her problem was how to rid herself of the excess hormones sickening her mind and body. At least this was Miss Hopton's humble opinion.

If Daphne was ever humble.

In her hands she twiddled a teal colored quill. Maybe....he wouldn't mind...

Suddenly throwing her arms up, Daphne let out a frustrated scream! The bloody hell she'd try to talk to him first! It wasn't her fault he was being so touchy!

And so, away from everyone's view, Miss Hopton threw a tantrum of gigantic proportions.
