Camira walked until she found the suits of armor. She'd always felt relaxed around them. Maybe it was because they went along with the dungeon theme. Who knew. She leaned against one and started talking. "Imagine all the things you'd have to say if you were alive. I wonder if I could animate you and have you tell me all the school's secrets?" She smiled at the thought. She'd have to look into that.

Tanjiro walked along until he saw a girl leaning against a suit of armor.

'What the devil!?', he thought.

He grinned forcefully and said, "Well I guess I'm not the only one who gets along with suits of armor," He interrupted. In truth, he was just trying to spark up a conversation. Maybe this girl knew loneliness like he did.

Camira jumped as she heard a voice. She turned around, already starting to blush. 'Goodness, that is the second time this week I've been caught talking to an inanimate object', she thought to herself. 'I'm defintely going mental.' She gave the guy a smirk. "Yes well, this suit of armor is a far better conversationalist than most of the people in this school, though I'm not quite sure who it's a reflection of at this point. Camira Yaxley, by the way."

Tanjiro stuck his head out a little, frowned and nodded as if the situation were understandable.

"Umm, interesting, interesting...," he said slowly. He walked a little more closely to the suit of armor and observed.

After close to 5 seconds he looked back at her and said, "Nice to meet you, I'm Tanjiro, AKA Tees. What year you in?"

Hmmm... the boy was talking rather slowly. Perhaps she was scaring him? Ah well. Couldn't be helped. Besides, if she really was going mental, people would have to get used to it eventually.

Tees. She liked that name. She would definitely be calling him tees. "Nice to meet you too, Tees. Love the nickname, by the way. I'm a fourth year. What about you?"

Tees adjusted to the more 'normal' conversation, starting with speaking normally.

"Oh cool. I just started attending Hogwarts so... 5th year is like 1st to me." He looked around the corridor as if every part of it was a mystery.

Oh, a transfer student. They were always fun, and this one was quite pretty...well, whatever the boy version of pretty was.

"Really? How do you like it? What have you seen so far? Have you been to the grounds? What school did you go to before?" Camira knew she was throwing a lot of questions at him, but it was nice to have someone to talk to who didn't know her. It made them less likely to judge her based on her past behavior.

Tees was taken aback from all the questions but he smiled along, not minding. He thrust his hands into his robe's pocket and answered, "I think the place is awesome and all but I'm still having mixed feeling about it. I'd definitely like to see whether these Hogwarts students are any good at quidditch.

I haven't been around much. Just the great hall, and the Slytherin Common Room. I've been too the Grounds once, but I didn't stay long at all."

He stopped to grab a breath, then continued, "I was home schooled till I was 14. Then my mom wanted to let me experience a real school. My dad wasn't up for it. He wanted my help because it wasn't easy managing a hotel in wales."

He stopped to think about those times, looking up at the ceiling, almost lost. After about 2 seconds he smiled at her.

"So have you ever been to Japan?"

He knew she probably hadn't, but if she did then it would've been great to discuss his home country.

Camira smiled and nodded enthusiastically as he spoke. Interesting. She'd never met anyone who'd been home schooled. Well, other then herself, but that was only for one term.

"Japan? No, I've never been. Is that where you're from", she asked a bit hesitantly. She hoped she wasn't making some kind of offensive assumption or anything. "Can you tell me what it's like.... if you've been there, that is."

Tees nodded again, not minding her question, and said, "I've lived in Japan for 9 years. I can remember that it was peaceful there. A lot of people just farmed, studied, and did whatever it was we'd do. It was corrupt there, though. Gangs were what disrupt that peace...." There was more to it, but he didn't want to scare the girl.

"What about you? Where are you from, originally?"

Wow. Japan sounded very interesting. Calm and peaceful, yet full of adventure. “Me? I grew up in England. My father is a business man so he’s out of town a lot. I spent a lot of time with my mum. She’d read me stories and have the house elves bake me cookies. I miss those days. Things were so much simpler when I was a child.” She didn’t want to tell him her mother was dead. That was far too personal. “So, you mentioned Quidditch. What position do you play?”

Tees sighed through his nose, then nodded in agreement. "Yes, everything's easier when you're a child. Being naive can be a happy thing, too."

He stretched his arm and said, "I play the Chaser position. I just love doing the most fun part." He rubbed his neck.

"You wanna grab a seat at the Common Room or something? I'm a starting to get a little tired from all this standing, and I coulda' sworn that that suit of armor moved a little."

OoC: Well, I must head out now. It's just past 4 in the morning. RP with you later.

Camira turned quickly at glared at the suit of armor. It couldn't have moved...could it? She suddenly felt nervous. She could already imagine the headlines. 'Yaxley girl decapitated by suit of armor. Suit of Armor says Yaxley offended it.' Ugh, she definitely wanted to get out of here now.

"Yes, the common room sounds great", she said, forcing a smile. Now the armor had her paranoid.

OOC: No worries. I need to sleep soon too. Have a good night.

Anna turned the corner of the second floor corridor and entered an area that seemed to be overrun with suits of armour. She giggled softly to herself, remembering the "No wearing the suits of armour" rule from last school year. Did anyone actually ever consider wearing them to the point where a rule had to be made? Ahh, oh yes. Bilium Q. Jones had. She remembered hearing a few girls talk about it during one Hogsmeade weekend. Silly Slytherin.

As part of her evening prefect duties, Anna peeked around all sides of the armour, trying to catch some lucky couple hiding out for an evening snog. Ehh, no one. This place was deserted...

Cale sighed as he walked along the corridor and past the suits of armour. His thoughts were still wrapped around the presents he had gotten so far from his family for his birthday. Theresa had woken him up at 7 o'clock to give him her present, which was a big bag of jelly slugs and a book on all sorts of different Chaser moves to use during matches. Ezra had given him--le gasp--a HUG as a present, and his mum had sent him a book on Herbology. Nice. Real nice.

As he turned the corner, he noticed there was only one other person in the hallway--Anna. Of course, fate was just THAT kind to him lately. Coughing awkwardly, he walked up to her, blushing all the way up there. "Erm, hi Anna," he said with an awkward smile.

Anna had just peered behind the last statue and was about to turn around and head back down the corridor when she suddenly heard someone talking right behind her. The noise took her by surprise, so it was only natural that she jumped a little, startled by the sudden appearance of someone else. And, of course, she just had to bump her head on the suit of armour she'd been looking behind, causing a loud noise to shatter its way down the corridor.

"Ow," she mumbled, rubbing the top of her head in an effort to stop the pain. She was then able to finally turn around completely and properly greet whoever this was standing right behind her.

"Oh!" Anna exclaimed, seeing that it was none other than Cale Newell who'd joined her at the suits of armour. He was probably on prefect rounds, as well. "Hey there...I...sorry, give me just a minute to make sure the hallways really aren't spinning like they appear to be right now." Anna blinked a few more times and then refocused herself. Ahh, that was better. Much better.

"Cale, how are you?" she finally asked. "Oh, and Happy Birthday!"

Cale jumped himself a little bit as Anna hit her head, and it sounded like she had hit it pretty hard. "Oh, are you ok?" he asked, hurrying over to her. He had been about to reach out and rub her head--his natural instinct--but stopped. That might not be appropriate right now. Not with their current situation.

"I'm ok," he mumbled, smiling sheepishly as she wished him a happy birthday. "Thanks...I'm finally of age!" he said, trying to sound enthusiastic about it. Instead, he just kept replaying memories of his last birthday. He had kind of sort of been with Cora, but slowly falling for Anna, and she had gotten him jelly slugs as a present, and he bought her a ton of chocolate frogs. Was that the time they threw the Cooper card under the rack? It might have been.

"Yeah, I'll be alright," she mumbled. "I think so at least..." He certainly had hurried over to her when she'd first nearly knocked herself out. That was so sweet of him. Then again, she would have done the same thing had it been him getting hurt instead. Oh, wait. No, no, no. She wouldn't have done the same thing. She woud have first made sure he was okay, then she would have hexed the suit of armour into oblivion for even daring to hurt him in the first place.

"You are of age, aren't you," Anna said, smiling as she talked. "I'm not too far behind you, you know. I'll be there next year. I hope you've had a really nice day. Anyway, like I said, I got --..."

She never got to finish that thought, though. The dizziness came back, and the next thing she knew, the floor appeared to be the ceiling, and the ceiling appeared to be the floor. "I...uhhh, Cale...," she mumbled, right before swaying back and forth a few times and finally staggering over just a bit to the point where she fell right into his arms.

Cale gasped as Anna looked about ready to pass out, and before he knew what was happening, she was falling towards him. He opened his arms without even thinking and caught her, and he held her in his arms for a few awkward seconds as he tried to process what was going on. "Anna! Are you ok? Do you need to go see the nurse?" he demanded.

Deciding it was better for them to sit on the floor, he gently helped her down so that was propped against the wall, but he still kept an arm around her protectively.

Anna was slowly coming to, and her world slowly refocused...again, she became vaguely aware of Cale talking to her, probably wondering what in Merlin's name was wrong with her. She slowly opened her eyes, blinked a few times, and then, suddenly, everything was back to normal. "Oh my gosh, Cale! I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, walking back a few steps to get out of his personal space. "I guess that statue knocked me out a little harder than I thought it did."

That was when it fully registered to Anna what Cale had been saying when she had been in his arms. "Did you just say...oh, no! Please...no! Please don't take me to Miss Trelawney!" Anna begged. "If at all possible, I want to stay away from there...for good." Anna really did appreciate what Miss Trelawney had told her, but it still scared her a bit to think that she may be capable of forcing Cale to leave Hogwarts. That would crush her...and him!

When both of them were sitting on the floor, she took a few deep breaths. She was actually grateful it had been Cale to be the one standing beside her when this statue knocked her senseless. Most other people would have laughed at her, but not Cale. Even though they were broken up, he was still such a sweetheart. "Oh, as I was saying...your gift," she said, pulling a box from beneath her robes and handing it to him.

Cale's eyes nearly popped out of his head. "Why, what did she do to you when she called you do to her office?" he asked, raising a dark eyebrow at her. "Did she scare you? If she did, Merlin help me, I'll...I'll..." he trailed off, trying to think of something horrible enough for him to do to her if she did something to her.

As Anna pulled a small box out of her pocket, he stared at awe for a moment. He had, for some reason, felt that she wouldn't get him a gift. He had bought her a gift before they broke up--would he have gotten her a gift if her birthday had been later? Probably.

"Oh, thanks! I don't...I don't know what to say," he said with a soft smile as he opened it. Inside, he found...something. He wasn't exactly sure what it was. It looked like a flattened sickle that was in the shape of a chocolate bar. Huh? What was this. "Umm...it's a...uh..." He looked at Anna sheepishly, silently asking for help.

Anna shook her head when Cale started asking what happened when Anna went to see Trelawney. "Don't worry about it, Cale," Anna begged. She hoped he wouldn't ask too many questions. She knew that if she told him what was said in that little office, he'd be really hurt by it. "Let's just forget all about me ever going to see Miss Trelawney. We don't ever, ever have to worry about what she said."

She smiled as she held out Cale's gift. She was aware that he was really surprised that she had actually gotten him something. True, she ordered it long before they broke up, but of course she was going to give it to him anyway. She watched as Cale took the box and then proceeded to open it. She knew he'd be very, very confused as to what the little object inside actually was, so when looked at her silently asking for a little help, she giggled softly and started her explanation. "There's a scarf in that box, too, but nevermind that right now. So, this little charm... My father has one just like it. His father got it for him when he turned seventeen, too. He still has it to this day. They're rare, and you have to know somebody who knows somebodt who knows somebody to be able to get one. So don't lose it, okay?" Anna asked. "I begged my father to order you one, so he did. We've had it at the house for about three months now. I wanted you to have one, so I can...well, so you can...always make sure you're safe." She changed her last sentence somewhat. Her original thought behind the gift was so she can make sure he was always safe, but now that they were no longer together, maybe she should just leave that little part out.

"Anyway, I have no idea on this Earth what it's called, but it's a really useful device. You carry it with you wherever you go, and if there's something...anything...wrong with the way your life is going, the charm flashes to let you know. It lets you know when danger is coming, or when you've made a decision that can eventually be potentially dangerous or hurtful for you," Anna continued. "The only thing is, it doesn't directly tell you why it's flashing. You have to figure that part out on your own. So go on...pick it up...watch what it does."

Cale crossed his arms and glared at her. "Anna, don't be thick. It's obvious from the way you're acting that she did something to you...and I'll find out soon enough so you better tell me now," he said with a cheeky grin.

He looked back down at the charm again. It was really nice looking, and it must have cost her an arm and a leg to get it for him. Just like the necklace he had gotten her. Just thinking about that made his heart ache unbelieveably. "Oh, so, erm, how do I carry this with me all the time? In my pocket?" he asked, picking it up and examining it. As soon as he did, it started flashing. He blinked and dropped it in surprise. "What does that mean?" he demanded, looking at her again.

He looked down at the box again and saw that he had missed something the first time. Picking up the charm again and setting it aside, he picked up the scarf that was in the box and grinned. "Holyhead Harpies...nice," he chuckled, unwrapping the scarf that was decorated in the same colors and emblem as his favorite Quidditch team. Ever.

But of course Cale hadn't forgotten that she'd stumbled over a ton of words trying to divert his attention from the Trelawney discussion earlier. He, of all people, would probably always be able to tell when she was lying or not telling the complete truth. Anna shook her head once again. "Look, Cale...we need to just forget about my little meeting with Miss Trelawney. It's over - thank Merlin - and done with, so no need worrying about it now," Anna said. "But, just, don't ever take me to Miss Trelawney, okay?" Once again, she really appreciated all Miss Trelawney had said to her, but on the other hand, she couldn't stand anyone mentioning anything that may hurt Cale, and that's just what Miss Trelawney had done. It also scared Anna just a bit that she was actually taking bits and pieces of Miss Trelawney's advice and using them in her relationship with Nico.

"Well, actually, you can carry it anywhere. In your pocket, on a keychain...on a necklace," Anna explained. "It's actually meant to be worn on a necklace, and I've already got you one of those, but you don't have to wear that if you don't want to..."

Anna jumped back and stared at the...device...when it proceeded to start flashing immediately when Cale touched it. "Cale!" Anna exclaimed, leaning down to pick up the charm. "On second though, you touch it," Anna said. It wouldn't due for that little charm to start flashing on her, too, now would it? "Anyway, you asked what it meant when the device flashed. Well, it's telling you that you're currently involved in something or making some sort of decision that's going to really mess things up for you. Now you just have to figure out what that is."

"Oh, and I'm glad you like the scarf," Anna mumbled, still looking down at the device with interest. Now just what was Mister Newell doing so wrong in his life?
