Lucas walked into the Great Hall and his little eyes tried to take in everything that he was seeing. He had never seen a school like Hogwarts. He had gone to a muggle daycare and pre-school before he got his letter, and this was all new to him.

He was wearing his new robes and he was feeling like a grown up. He walked over to the Slytherin House table and happily climbed into a chair and sat down to wait for the rest of his fellow house mates to come in for dinner and the opening speech. He was so excited he was finally here!

Nikita slowly sidled up to the Slytherin table. This was so different from Belle's that she slumped down onto the bench in relief. The benches were not quite as comfortable as the chairs last year, but Nikita preferred this equality. Last year had almost been like how House Elves were treated at Campbell Manor.

Flame curled around her legs. "Get out of here, silly!" Nikita said affectionately, nudging the little orange and red cat away. He bounded silently off into a corridor. Nikita wasn't worried about him; that cat had an amazing ability to find her.

Freya looked around the Great Hall, it was much bigger than she originally thought. Seeing the banner of green and silver over one long table she made her way over, dodging several more confident students. It seemed that, like in Diagon Alley, her confidence had left her for now. Reaching the table she sat down a few spaces away from the others that had already arrived, and glanced around the enormous room. Freya spotted several of the younger students she had talked to on the train, but none of them were in her house, she would have to start again it seemed...

Freya looked at the girl for a second and then shook her hand, "Hello, Lucy, I'm Freya Skyler. Nice to meet you too." she said somewhat stifly, "So, this is Hogwarts then? It's a lot larger than I thought it would be." Freya continued trying to sound a little more inviting.

"Uh, no. I have never even heard of Belle's to be honest." Freya said a little awkwardly, "I've been home-schooled by my mom until this year. You could say that all of my persuasive gestures payed off." 'This kid isn't so bad', Freya thought, "Have you been going to Hogwarts for very long?" She asked as politely as she could.

Freya looked surprised, someone was actually interested in her lifestyle, how strange. "Well, I don't know about others, but mine wasn't very fun at all. It was more like torture." Freya said wondering if she should continue...'Oh what the heck.' "My mother was very demanding, breathing down my neck all the time, you know? That's why I was so keen on coming here. If I didn't do something to perfection, I would have to do it another hundred times until it was done correctly." Freya sighed, "I guess it worked though, my moms method of teaching. I know more and have better skills than most adults I know, however few that may be."

Freya looked at the girl, curiousity got the best of her, "I don't know about your parents being the worst ever." Freya said quietly, "I know a few that could give your parents a run for their money. But at least you've got both around you." Freya added not knowing if it was the best information to give to the new girl. "And I know what that craving is like, wanting to be free. I've strived for it since I was about twelve."

"Sorry to hear that. My dad died when I was four, he had a horrible reaction to something and I saw the whole thing." Freya said and absentmindedly stared at the palms of her hands. As Lucy yelled across the hall, Freya jumped by what seemed to be a foot out of her seat and slammed her fists on the table. "Um, sorry...I'm just a bit paranoid right now." Freya said to Lucy, "Too many people wandering around. Feel lucky that I didn't reach for my wand. You could have been at the other end of the hall."

Freya laughed uneasily, "Eh, heh, yeeaah. If you knew what I was usually up to you wouldn't think that about me. I'm quite a troublemaker actually...caused quite a bit of destruction, especially when family or friends are threatened." Freya looked back at Lucy after a pause, "I've done a bit of dueling in my life too."
