Kitchen Level Corridor The Kitchen and Hufflepuff Common Room are accessed via the staircase to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall. You follow along a bright corridor adorned with paintings, the most notable of which is the still life of a bowl of fruit (with a particularly ticklish pear). |
Molly was bored with sitting in the common room, so she jumped up and headed out to the corridor. She roamed a bit, up and down the entire length, making sure no other students were around before she pulled a small ball out of her pocked. Molly placed the ball on the ground, took out her wand and with a flick of her wrist commanded “Engorgio.” The small marble sized ball quickly grew to the size of a soccer ball. Satisfied with the size of the ball and the emptiness around her, Molly began kicking the ball up and down the corridor. It bounced from foot to foot as she spun around and avoided imaginary targets. |
Stepping from the portrait, Elan held out his hand to help Charlotte through. "Even though you've not been anywhere but the halls, perhaps you could begin the tour." |
Charlotte took his hand and stepped out of the common room. "Alright then. Lets... Go this way." She headed off to the right, without a clue where she was going. Answering Elan's previous question she said "Well... It was full of girls and I accidentally hit one when I walked inside. Then her friend started yelling at me for 'shoving' the door open and calling me a stupid hufflepuff who couldn't spell anything. And I just got so angry that I really did shove the door open and straight into her." Charlotte blushed a little. "I was really angry." |

Charlotte nodded her head vigorously, "I know. It wasn't fair, I don't know why she was picking on me." Her face turned into a scowl at the memory. The girl had been so unfair and mean. She looked up quickly, met his gaze then looked back down, her blush deepening. She mumbled something she thought was a thank you- but she was too embarrassed to put together a coherent sentence. |

He heard something like a mumble, but couldn't tell what she had said. He did, however notice a darkening of the color on her face. He smiled awkwardly at her with a funny feeling in his belly. |

"Miss Yaxley, lead the way.", he said, preparing to follow her out of the kitchens. |

Jessica shook her shoulders and nodded. Of course she couldn't contradict a Professor, although she was wondering what that Slytherin girl was up to. "I'll be waiting here, Professor." she answered simply, still looking at the hungry kneazle. |

"Oh, yes! That would be ideal!", he mused back. 'Good deal! Now Nostradamus wouldn't have to wait to be fed.', he thought. "I shouldn't be long." |

"I'll wait here, with Nostradamus." the girl added. |

A short time later, Kapoor returned to the corridor. He waved to Jessica and saw that Nostradamus was still with her. Perhaps the kneazle had a preference for those in the house of Hufflepuff. "How was he? Was he a well-behaved kneazle?" |
Back so soon? Jess smiled seeing the Professor return. Maybe Camira wasn't so bad intended after all. the girl thought. "Yes, I didn't have any problems with him, he's a very obedient pet. And very cute, too!" Jessica replied. Although she was curious about the discussion with the Slytherin girl she didn't say a word about it. "Professor, I have a few questions regarding Divination, but I think I'll come by your office when you are less busy." the girl said, preparing to give the kneazle back to his owner. |

The girl giggled and headed for the common room, as it was very close from where they were. |
Cale didn't usually hang around the kitchen, but he was bored and figured he'd pay a visit to the kitchens. He hadn't seen Beezley once since last term and thought maybe she'd say hi...and if she just happened to have a treat for him or something well then, cool. He still couldn't get over the fact that a house elf fancied him. It was odd, yes, but Beezley was actually a cute little thing, and she loved to help Cale out, like with that letter last term. It had never worked out but at least they had tried! Sighing and shaking his head, he continued along the deserted corridor. It was kind of creepy down here...thank goodness he didn't have to go this route to the Hufflepuff room all the time... |
Anna watched Cale as he left the ground floor and headed down towards the kitchen area. Hmm...what business did he have there, anyway? A few days ago, or even a few hours ago, she would have believed he was headed to meet Evolette in the dungeon corridors or something, but no, not now. Ever since Anna had that little meeting with Evolette McKenna earlier, she'd learned a lot of valuable little pieces of information. The most valuable being that Cale and Evolette's relationship was actually fake, and that Cale had set it all up to get Anna back for kissing Seth Paton in the courtyards. The second valuable piece of information that Anna had learned had been told to her in a story, a true story about something that had happened to Evolette and Terry Saunders. It was this same story that had convinced Anna to owl her father in the wee hours of the night and ask him not to come help her pack and leave Hogwarts today after all. Add all those valuable pieces of information together, and you have the main reason Anna was currently hurrying after Cale and trying to catch up with him. She needed to update him on everything that had happened yesterday, the most important update being that she was staying at Hogwarts after all. "CALE!" she called out, realizing that if he didn't stop soon she would probably never catch up with him. "Wait up!" |

"Oh...Anna," he said, his voice quieter than usual. According to her plan, she was set to leave...tomorrow. And he hadn't thought about that until just now. And suddenly, his entire day was ruined, and the rest of his school career as well. If Anna wasn't there, he might seriously fall back into the homeschooling system. What was the point of going to class if there was no Anna there? "How are you?" he asked softly, looking through his bangs at his feet rather than at her. |

When she finally reached him, the smile that she had been wearing faded to a concerned look. What had him looking so upset? She thought about that for a few seconds, and then it suddenly hit her---he still believed she was leaving in the morning for America. Duh, Anna. That's what you're here to talk to him about. "I'm alright," she said, thinking about how uspet she should be that the boy standing in front of her had tricked her into believed he was in a real relationship with Evolette McKenna. "Well, I've actually just spoken to Evolette. She and I had a pretty lengthy conversation...thirty minutes or so, I'd say. She brought me chocolate frogs, too," Anna explained, digging in her pocket and pulling out a few of the pieces of candy. "Want one? We can sit and eat them while we talk..." |

"Oh, you did, did you? Did you have a nice chat? Trying to make nice with everyone before you leave for good?" he asked rather nastily, crossing his arms and turning to walk away again. |
