Raising her hand, Emily spoke up. "It seems to me, Professor, that perhaps you have made space in the greenhouses for new plants. Maybe you are going to ask us which plants we would be interested in studying and adding?" Emily wasn't sure if that's what Professor Carracio wanted, but she wanted to earn Hufflepuff points in any way she could.

Sarah put her hand in the air.
"Ummm is it going to be about seedlings,Professor? Baby plants?"
She wasn't entirely sure,but she thought she'd have a go.

Valenitne raised her small pale hand. "Well about new plants I am assuming. And what they need to grow, and what things a certain species needs." It was only assumung

Nia frowned at her brother, before also raising her hand. "Well, I reckon it's about moving plants around and spacing them out, since the title implies that something new needs space to grow and therefore flourish. I guess that could imply pruning as well as digging up roots." She looked at the Professor hopefully, not really sure.

Anna raised her hand. "Compost?" she asked, still uncertain about her answer. "It would explain the overcrowding and the bins."

Nancy mouthed "okay" back at Camira and then listened to Professor Carracio. Raising her hand she said. "I think we are going to be repotting somekind of plants?" Maybe, she wasn't sure, she actually more guessed than knew the answer.

Lauren thought about what the Professor had asked. She didn't really know what to say.

Lauren slowly raised her hand.
"Maybe it's about growing and caring for new plants?" Lauren guessed

Rachel made a face. How on earth was she supposed to know? She had never studied this subjects before!
But she kept quiet and let others answer this (ridiculous!) question.

"There is something slightly disturbing about me asking you about room for new plants, and your automatic answer is compost. "Very good Nia, that is precisely what this lesson is about. Three points. Today we will be making room in these planters for more growth, and also for new plants. Every so often you will decide to change how things are, and thus you shall learn how. Pick a partner and grab one of the crowded planters to start."

Camira grinned at Nancy. "Want to be partners", she asked while getting up to go grab one of the planters. She carried it back to her desk quickly. It was a bit dirty. She was so glad she had her hand sanitizer. The one useful thing muggles created.

Lauren got up and looked around. She then walked over to mandy.

"Partner?" Lauren asked

Unsure who would like to partner with her, Liz turns around and sees if there are any without partners yet.

Theo bounced around in his seat. He got 2 points. He was getting good at this. He grinned at his sister, "Nia can I be your partner? I am good at Plant fings. I gotted 2 points already."

Sarah listened intently to the professor...Yay she had earned 2 points!
That will go some way to making up for the -15 Hufflepuff seems to have already.
Making a note of what the lesson was about,she got up and walked over to the planters.Picking one up she returned to her seat,looking around for someone to ask to be her partner..

Nancy grinned back at Camira. "No, I'd rather work with some weird Huffie." She smirked at Camira. "Of course I'd like to work with you." She looked down at the plant that Camira had placed in front of them. "So, what should we do now?"

Jean Raoul blinked in confusion. This class was about making room for plants to grow? Not compost? That was not what he had expected. He quickly shook off his surprise and turned to Willow. He did not know her well, and had no idea if she would rather be a partner with someone she was friends with, but a partner was a partner to him.

"Are you greatly opposed to being partners, mademoiselle Willow?" he asked with a slightly amused expression.

Mandy listened as Professor Carrico explained what the class was to be doing today. When he stopped, Lauren asked to be Mandy's partner. "Sure," Mandy replied. She rose from her seat and walked to collect one of the planters.

Camira couldn't help but snicker. Oh, she adored this girl.

"Now, we mutter amongst ourselves until Carragio tells us to shut up and gives up some directions", she said with a laugh.

Anna smiled and shook her head at the professor's response. Morbid? Yikes! Well, at least she got a point! That had to count for something!

She turned her head in Nico's direction. "Partners?" she asked. Without giving him much time to answer, she grabbed him by the wrist and directed him to some overcrowded plants. "Come along, Toussaint. We've got some overcrowded plants to take care."

When Anna had chosen the plant she wanted to work with, she picked it up and then waited for the next set of instructions."

Jasmine had of course known the answer to the Professor's question as she had seen the supplies and plants when she had come in. However, she had a perverse notion in her head not to answer for she did not want the others to think she had unfair advantage just because she was the Professor's daughter.

Glancing about, Jasmine didn't seem to know anyone, nor did there seem to be anyone from her house. Frowning slightly at that, Jasmine decided to wait and be partners with whoever was left without one.

Nia grinned as she got three points. She'd show that guy from the common room that she wouldn't let the Ravenclaws down.

Nia felt her bench moving, and slowly turned her head to see Theo positively bouncing up and down. Gah. What had he been eating to have energy to do that? She looked hesitantly around the room for a possible different partner, before deciding that Theo would probably cause a scene if she said no, and that definitely wasn't worth it. Professor Carracio looked a bit scary in ways, and she didn't want to risk any trouble.

"Of course I will," Nia said slowly, feeling slightly smug that she got more points than her twin had. "You wanna help me go and get a planter?"

Lauren smiled when Mandy said yes. When mandy got up to go get a planter, Lauren went to help her.

Lauren wondered what they were suppost to do next.

Morbid. To a plant lover like the professor it made sense that he'd think that.

Hearing Kitten speak, Nicholai opened his mouth to respond, but Anna had already grabbed him and started to drag him over to a planter. He let her, shooting a smirk at Cale before examining the area. He was glad compost wasn't on the menu, his fingers twitched slightly just thinking about it.

He pulled a pair of gloves out of his pocket and put them on, waiting to hear what they'd have to do first.

Seeing James behind her a little ways "Want to be partners, James? I'll be your partner as long as you don't use that tickling charm on me again" Liz says with a smile.

Theo bounced some more, when his sister said yes, "Yay. We will do da best and get da bestest plants ever. Dey will grow bigger dan us and everfing." He nodded gleefully, "Ok den. Which one do you want?" He scrambled down from the chair and headed round to where the plants were, "Come on Nia hurry up."
