Drago unlocked the greenhouse and led the way in. "I warn you. Unless you really know what you are doing, do not touch a thing. This is supposed to be for the more advanced students to experiment." He made his way over to one of the quarentine chambers and lifted the plant into it, sans box. Once it the chamber was closed he began to adjust the controls to the climate that Freya had described. "While I research the plant, we will be able to monitor it closely."

"Yes, sir." Freya said as she looked around the greenhouse. It took almost all of her self-control not to get near anything or touch just one, curiousity killed the cat, and unfortunately for Freya, she was the unlucky feline in most cases. "Professor," Freya began after a quiet moment, "I was hoping to take your class, would that be alright, I already have all of my supplies. Unless of course I am already enrolled in the course, I'm still new to things." It wasn't her intention to take the course when she first heard about it, 'Plants?' She thought to herself one day before arriving, 'How dull!' But after her recent encounter her interest had been sparked.

"Your schedule should be set, so I wouldn't worry about it." He finished setting the controls and looked over at her. "Typically it's a required course prior to your OWLs, so I don't see a problem in your taking it now." He noticed her interest in what was in his greenhouse and gestured around. "Feel free to look around, but if you are curious about something, ask me about it and I will show you. I'm afraid I do not have everything I use in here, but I cannot give away all my secrets. And if you are interested, the volumes with 'Armand Erikson' across them have most of my research notes." As he said it, he pulled open the most recent volume and went back to the plant in the quarantine chamber, dating it and taking preliminary notes.

"Thank you, Sir." Freya said as she began to wander around the greenhouse. She was in awe, never before had she seen so many strange plants, some looked more like animals in her opinion but who was she to judge? She made her way to the volumes that the professor had pointed out, Freya took one out and began to flip through it. It reminded her of the records she and her mother kept at home, although they were a bit more numerous of subjects.
As she continued to explore the logs, she decided that her gloves were really making things a bit more difficult than they should be, so she began to remove her right one. As she did so she noticed something of a rash on her skin, where the plant had grabbed her. She looked behind her to see if the professor had noticed, it seemed he was still busy, so she quickly replaced her glove, hiding the sign of possible harm. 'I can deal with this later, I know I can. I've had worse, and it doesn't even itch.' She told herself, as she continued to read through the notes, still slightly concerned.
"Professor?" She asked suddenly before she could stop herself. "What would be a sign or symptom of poisoning from a plant? Would it be something like dizziness or fatigue? Or could they appear much more benign, less alarming, like a bump or rash?" Freya thought for a moment, "Of course it could depend on the plant though...I'm just curious."

He adjusted something on one of the other chambers and wrote in his notebook. As he continued taking his notes, he heard Freya speaking. Well, that's a bit odd to just be a random question. "It could be anything, really. Poison ivy and poison oak both have horrible rashes." He finished his notes and looked over. "You said before the plant touched you, and thus you were wearing gloves. Show me."

Freya cursed herself in her mind, 'Why can't I just keep my big mouth shut?! I hate being a worrier, it's probably nothing anyway.' Freya walked reluctantly to the professor and removed her elbow-length gloves, "See," she said as she revealed both of her arms, both of which had identical rashes. "I'm sure it's nothing, just a slight reaction. And I can take care of it myself, I'm sure of it. I've had worse. I'm just overreacting, honest." Freya looked at him almost pleading, "You won't take house points away for this will you? For me not wanting to show you what was 'wrong' I mean?"

"I'm not taking house points away for naivete, Freya," he said as he examined the rash. "But this can get worse very quickly, and you may not know what hit you until later. Unfortunately, I do not currently have an antidote. Most toxins from plants affecting one are because the general populace are allergic to the plant, however. Poison oak is one example of that." After examining it he finished up his notes and set the book away. "Let's head back to my office and I will find something for it. If it does affect you like an allergen, I may have just the thing. I will pull some of the plant for experimentation, however, just to be safe. Until then, let no one touch the rash. I can provide bandages if you need them."

Freya stared down at her palms, she could feel her face burn up as it turned a violent red. It bothered her, what her professor had just said, 'Naive,' Freya told herself, 'Ugh. Why did that hurt me so much? And I thought it would be stubborness anyway, not wanting anyone else to touch me. Oh well, no sense arguing I suppose.'
Freya looked to her professor again, "Yes, Sir." She replied as he mentioned heading back to his office. 'At least the rash isn't itching, or blistering.' Freya thought again as she prepared herself to leave the laboratory. "I have bandages, Sir. I always have some with me wherever I go." She replied.

"That is good," he said as he nodded. "Preparation is key to everything, after all." He made sure everything was set and led the way out of the greenhouse, holding the door open for her politely just upon exit.
