Patricia sat back, munching on her popcorn, thinking about all they had seen about the Dark creatures as seen by Muggles. Most of it was quite ridiculous and over the top. She asked the Headmistress, "Where do they get all the information about these creatures? Maybe some of it came from factual accounts of Muggles that have seen it with their own two eyes... but the information was maybe tampered with or changed to make it seem implausible?" She wondered about it a little more as she drank her cocoa.

"You can select anything from the library here in the classroom," Rae agreed.

Astrid finished the last of her cocoa and grabbed her bag off of the back of her comfy chair. She walked over to where the videos were and scanned the titles. She suddenly found one that looked perfect and she took it from the shelf and brought it over to the Headmistress. "If its okay ma'am, I will use this one." she said, excited to get started on her homework.

Dominic sighed quietly as the Professor finally ended the rather strange lesson today. To be honest, he wasn't quite sure what he learned. Nonetheless, she was the headmistress and arguing back to her would probably get him nowhere. And then all the girls practically drooling over that male vampire; honestly! What in canaries was so great about him!? He didn't seem to be anything special. At least nothing compared to himself.

Shaking his head, the fourth year packed his bag up and nodded politely towards the professor before exiting the room. Watching a video for homework? Ha! We'll see if that happens for Dominic Denton . . .

Rapunzel liked this assignment; it was right up her alley to watch funny things. Okay well she just liked funny...s.

"Great lesson, Professor," Punz said brightly, jotting down the homework before she cleaned up her popcorn and cocoa. She would definitely be doing this homework. Mmmhm.

Jenn liked this lesson. Finishing her cocoa and popcorn she waved to the Headmistress. "Thanks for the great lesson."she said before walking out the door.

Everyone seemed to be leaving out of the room quickly, which actually worked out perfectly for Anna and her friends. They had a job to do, and quite frankly, Anna was a little self-conscious to go searching around the room in front of an audience. "Wait," Anna whispered to Cale, pulling him back a bit and stopping him from leaving the classroom. "We actually haven't looked in here yet. You know, for the next clue. Let's just give it a quick try before we head back to the Common Room. Come on." Anna grabbed Cale by the hand and led him over to the far corner of the room. "Now...just look around. See if anything...I don't know...pops out or something."

Cale groaned. "Anna, I don't want to," he grumbled, glancing at the nearest bookshelf and moving a few books aside. "Why can't we find someone else to do it? I've got homework and patrols and...well, I'm just bored and cranky and I need a nap," he told her as he got on his hands and knees and looked under the nearby desk. "Don't you think people will wonder what we're doing in here?" he asked, poking his curly head out from under the desk he was crawling under.

Anna rolled her eyes playfully as Cale starting groaning and fussing. "It'll only take a few minutes, Cale," she said. "I just really want to see where all this leads us to. I feel like I've invested a lot in it, you know. I want to see what it all amounts to." Anna smiled and shook her head at her boyfriend's rambles. "Like I said, it'll only take a few minutes. I just...really want you to do this with me. Then you can go back to the Common Room, take a nap, and get all that crankiness out of your system!" She smiled again and ran her fingers through his hair, stopping at his sideburns. "Stop being such a big baby---a big baby with the cutest sideburns ever..." She blew Cale a quick kiss, hoping just maybe she could cure his little moody fit somewhat.

Anna turned around and began to look under several of the tables and desks. Pretty soon, she was crawling around on the floor, looking under, over, and in-between anything she could get her hands on. "It has to be around here somewhere. We've looked everywhere else!"

Cale frowned and rubbed his sideburns subconsciously, even though he was pretty sure she had just complimented him. "I'm not a baby," he muttered, standing up and almost hitting his head on a nearby desk. He glared at it before walking over to the bookshelf.

"I doubt the scroll is just lying around on the floor...it's probably wedged in a book somewhere," he suggested, taking out a book on werewolves from the nearest shelf and shaking it to see if anything would come out. "Just be sure to put everything back so they don't get mad at us going through their stuff," he told her.

Anna giggled softly as she noticed Cale's reaction to her sideburns comment. "You can be a big baby," she said. "Don't worry. I think it's cute." Anna fell silent, deciding it would be best to just let Cale's little mood pass without any further comment from her. When he got this way, it was best to just let it run its course before finally disappearing for good. She shrugged and continued on with her search.

"Yeah, you're right," she said, crawling over to the bookcase and pulling out a few books and trinkets. I'll be sure and put it all back. I'm a little nervous in here without a professor being around. Wherever this clue is, I wish it'd hurry up and pop out, so we could take it and run."

That was an odd lesson, Mariel thought to herself as she picked up her books and packed them into her messenger bag. Although why she had even brought books with her, she was uncertain. They certainly didn't use any in class.

Though it was fairly entertaining to spend the afternoon watching moving pictures projected onto the wall, Mariel couldn't help but to feel slightly disappointed that they hadn't learned any new defensive spells. Instead they learned of the Muggle misrepresentation of dark creatures which was inconsistent at best - not to mention incredibly insulting. Rolling her eyes thinking of the polar opposite versions of the two werewolves, she wondered exactly how she was to complete the homework assignment. She supposed she'd have to borrow that projector-thingy from Professor Rae in order to watch the movie. Not that she was looking forward to more Muggle versions of magic.

As Mariel made her way to the door, she noticed that Gryffindor prefect, Anna, acting strange again. Mariel had been suspicious of her behavior since History of Magic and now she was crawling around on the floor with the other Gryffie prefect who seemed a bit reluctant. Odd. Mariel watched them both for a moment with an incredulous eyebrow raised before heading out the door.

As the students went about in search of their next clue the defense classroom began to chill.

Melinda was almost the last one leaving out of the classroom, when she started to feel colder than she normally was those days. What could it be? She started to walk out, but thinking too much about the clue, what was it again???

Astrid stopped dead in her tracks as she noticed the sudden drop in the classroom temperature. Curious,she thought, as she looked around the room.

As Mel noticed, Astrid had felt the same thing she did. A clue had already been Mel's, so she guessed it was time for her friend to get one now.

"Do you feel the same thing?" She asked, quite curious.

"If you're talking about the strange chill in the air, then yes! What in the world is causing it do you think?" she asked. She walked a over to Mel, feeling slightly uneasy by the atmosphere of the room.

Melinda thought. "Umm...has Allie told you anything about this search for clues for the...school treasure?" She asked her friend as she walked closer. "Umm...well, strange things, like things glowing out of dark places, have happened since then...so that's my theory..." She said, whispering.

Astrid nodded her head and whispered, "Actually it was Cale, but yes. And the school treasure makes sense." She quickly looked over her shoulder. She suddenly had the strangest feeling that they were being watched. Probably just paranoia, she thought, when she saw that it was just the two of them in the classroom.

Melinda nodded in agreement. "Paranoia?" She asked, noticing she just had confessed her power to Astrid. She put her hand in her mouth. I should have never said anything, I should have never said anything...She repeated that sentence again. "Umm...I'm so sorry..." She started to explain, but didn't have the right words.

Anna blinked and looked at Cale in shock. She then turned her head and glanced at the others who'd seemed to have stayed behind, as well. "Is it just me, or...did it suddenly get cold in here?" she asked, her brows wrinkling in confusion. Where was that cold draft coming from? "Something had to have caused it. Anna ran her hands along the walls and shelves, looking for a possible hole that'd opened up somewhere. She definitely didn't remember the room being this temperature.

As the girl moved the temperature in the room stabilized a bit so that it wasn't quite so cold any longer.

Patricia came behind Melinda, tugging slightly on her fellow Ravenclaw's sleeve. "Melinda... this room feels weird all of sudden. How come its so cold?" She shivered as she looked around for an open window or something.

Melinda nodded her head. "Nope...it's all of us here..." She mentioned to Anna. "I wonder...can it be it?" She asked Anna, stroking her chin.

The temperature stabilized when Astrid moved along the room. Melinda looked around, stranged about the weird happening.

Before Mel could do any more movement, she felt a tug in her sleeve. It was Patricia. "Umm...we think it's related...to..." She looked at Anna and to Astrid, "...the search for some clues...around the school..." She answered, in a low voice.

Astrid just looked at Melinda and blinked. Oh Merlin's beard, she just heard my thoughts, Astrid thought to herself. Then she blushed. And she can probably hear everything I'm thinking now. She wasn't sure how to react at the moment. She just looked at Melinda and smiled.
Astrid noticed the temperature rising again. Hmm, she thought, walking back towards the door. Maybe there's a draft coming from over here. She looked up towards the ceiling, trying to see what could be causing the temperature to change.
