Terry pushed impatiently past the bajillion and one students still wandering around the corridor. Surely they should have found a compartment already and seated themselves down sharpish? They were getting in his way.

He craned his neck as a tiny little circle formed around a couple. The hell? Terry snorted as soon as he caught sight of said 'couple'. Evolette and Hugo. Haha, they needed all attention on them where ever they went didn't they?

Slowing down to a saunter, he skirted around the last few students, scruffily tugging his shirt from his trousers once he noticed he was away from the prying eyes of professors. Once he was witing hearing range, he let slip a mock gasp of horror. 'Hugo, really. Not even one measly owl for yer lady?'

"Good for you Dem, I hope you and Jason have a great time."

The train ride home sucked. Saying goodbye to Evangeline sucked even harder. He didn't want the last few hours they would spend with eachother before they had to separate for summer to be sad though. Nope, cause that would make everything suck a bazillion times more.

He shouldn't of skipped the feast?

Collapsing into the seat beside the window, Clifford shot a glance at his girlfriend. There was no way he could've gone to the feast and left her ... how she'd been. Nuh uh. No way. Being with her when she needed him was waaaaay more important than pigging out.

"Yeaaah, well, it's just a boring ole' feast, ain't it?" He shrugged nonchalantly, stretching out and putting his feet up on the opposite seat. May as well get comfy. Hehe. "And the house-elves cooking isn't aaaall that anyway." He lied casually. Right.

"And I won't go yet." He shook his head when Evageline told him not to be long. "We've got plenty of time." Yup, and he was comfy ... and not ready to leave her yet. They'd only just got here!

Anna laughed right along with Cale. "I don't realllly wish that. Or, at least, I don't think I do. All I'm saying is that having a ton of brothers and sisters at home isn't always such a bad thing. I guess it all depends on who those brothers and sisters are, though." Anna stretched again and peered out the compartment window and into the hallway. Where were all their friends? "Take Lucy for example," she continued. "I think it would be cool to have someone just show up and randomly start living at my house like that. I guess she could have actually ended up at my house, too. Aunt Lexi's supposedly dating her dad."

"Well, enough about that kind of talk," Anna said suddenly sitting up. She was getting restless already, and the train ride wasn't even good and started yet. "Oh, I heard from my mother yesterday. She said she received a really unusual letter just the other day that she wants both you and I to read. She said, and I quote, 'I'm already preparing myself for the wrath of Cale and Anna.' I'm a bit nervous to see the letter..."

"Hi Anna, hey Cale." Chalice greated waving when she saw her fellow Gryffindors.

Thank you thank you thank yoooou! he sent her telepathically, as she stepped fully into the compartment. The chances he actually had telepathic capabilities were EXTREMELY slim, as in nonexistent. But hey, he had gotten Daphne to cease and desist with tossing out Cale's honking daffodil, so what could it hurt to try? While I wasn't too keen on spending months on end away from my friends - I'm starting to think it might be healthy to leave Hogwarts behind for a little break... he continued.


What happened to the sweet little blond girl who saved him from a stroke not ten minutes ago?

Now she was glaring at him as if he had farted in her face.

Which, he had not.

What could she want? Tobi went over the few minutes, since Cale's arrival.

Cale asked what in blazes was going on- Robin honked as if she were tattling.
Daphne said something, Robin honked rudely.
Cale asked who in blazes she was. Robin honked smugly.
Tobi did his level best to introduce them, which wasn't great. Robin kept up a running commentary in "honkese."
Daphne made a sourface, Robin honked. She does that quite a lot.
Aggie appeared.
Daphne went from sour to "I will set you ablaze right now." Girls are WEIRD!!
Robin honked.

Which brought him back to that moment, the moment where Robin had presently honked.

At best the only thing he could think to do was introduce Aggie to Daphne and hope no one got hurt. It would stall for time while he figured out what he was SUPPOSED to be doing.

"So...." Tobi ventured, "Aggie this is Daphne Hopton, Daphne, Aggie DeWitt. She's in Gryffindor with us. She's a friend of Cale and I."

Now what?

Miles laughed a little at Vannie's response. He knew about her sisters, little mischevious girls. The oddest one was Chloe though, how she had followed Vannie into Diagon Alley because she was jealous of her. Apparantely, and Miles didn't want to believe it, it was that funny, Chloe had a crush on him. If it was anything it would be something small like 'his head looked nice.', not a full blown crush. Haha .. ha.

Miles coughed uncomfortably, he was hoping this would never show itself again, but it would, it always would. The talk that he and Vannie had wasn't really a proper one, and he wanted to avoid this, he was pretty sure Hugo would want to too. But Vannie wouldn't. He sighed, and started fiddling with his nails. "Really? Oh." He was planning on to pretend that he had o idea what she was talking about, but the thought of Vannie getting angry at him wasn't a nice one.

Jack felt her pull back.He could breathe properly now.Well he thought he could,but he couldnt.Her kiss had sent him over the edge.He felt like he was on cloud nine,to have a girlfriend so sweet and cute and beautiful as the girl infront of him was.He kissed her cheek softly."Sorry.."he said,dipping his head and looking up again,to notice that soft glow that was over her cheeks.He smiled to himself.And then out of the blue,he felt a punch.It wasnt hard but it took him by surprise,then she was running.He got up and chased her,finally catching her and grabbing her waist and pulling her close to him.He kissed her noise as he looked into her eyes."You Ella, have hypnotised me.."he said,brushing her hair out of her eyes after all the runnning.

Ah! So perhaps he wasn't as useless and incompetent as that honking plant that wouldn't just shut the bloody hell up! Quickly, she threw a scathing look at the leafy specimen over her shoulder before turning to Aggie--that was her name? Aggie?--Daphne blinked and stared her down for wrinkles before smiling broadly, shrugging her shoulder sightly as she did so, the corner of her eyes crinkling with feigned sweetness.

"Nice to meet you Aggie DeWitt!" chirped the thirteen year-old, inwardly, she filed the girl's name in the mental investigation file.

DeWitt wasn't ringing any bells either. Although she was oddly thinking of a bakery for some reason. Either way, this warranted some research. You never knew just what kind of folk attended Hogwarts, like that butcher's kid who was two tantrums away from shaving someone's head bald.

Hugo was pressed against the wall, his expression looking as though he'd just been told that he'd won the Worst Hair of the Year Award. Which was a very bad expression indeed. Had Vannie seen him? Ohhh he hoped not! Shuddering slightly, he sniffled. He really had got himself into a terrible mess, hadn't he? He was about to slide to the floor and wail to himself, when someone grabbed his hand and he screamed. NOOOOO! Vannie or Miles had come to get him! Help! Help!

Thrashing madly, Hugo tried to escape. IT WAS VANNIE! She was the only girl he'd kissed since last summer (ohh, how depressing!), so who else could it be? BUT...what was this about not talking or owling? Surely she didn't WANT to talk about it! AHHH! "Look Vannie I--" He spun around and saw Evolette. Oh Merlin. He gulped. "HIIII LETTIE LOO LOO BABY!" He cried, throwing his arms around her; hopefully she wouldn't pay much attention to his mention of Vannie. Hopefully.

He crossed his fingers, just in case.

He was still clinging to Evolette when Terry turned up. "TERRY!" He screamed, now throwing his arms around his other best friend. Ohmigosh, he was becoming hysterical. He needed to get away! Or at least throw Vannie in a hole or something. Terry and Evolette could NOT find out about the kiss; they'd be absolutely furious. Like Miles probably was. Ohhhh, Hugo Jermaine Woods was such an IDIOT! Gah! Of all the girls to kiss he had to kiss Vanessa Corbette who for one wasn't his type AT ALL, and secondly was Miles' girlfriend. Bleeeh.

Evolette was about to carry on her little tease, when Hugo grabbed her up in his arms and practically squished the breath out of her. "Hugie." she squeaked, swatting lightly at his arm, "You're messing up my hair!"

Then he grabbed Terry, and they were both squished against him. What in the world was going on? Hugo was acting very odd.... almost like he was trying to hide something. But, Hugo wouldnt hide anything from her, right?

Pushing against his arm, she tried to free herself from his grasp, "Have you got a compartment yet?" she asked.

Being the Prefect she was, Evangeline sorta had to patrol the train, right? She assumed so, and so Evangeline made sure to take a close look at the corridor before closing the door. Eh. She had done all the patrolling that was needed ... now she was all Clifford's. Hehe.

She knew him well enough to know what the look he gave her meant, and she bit her lip nervously. It was her own fault he had skipped the feast, she supposed, but, although she felt guilty, she didnt regret it. She couldn't regret it because he had made her feel so absolutely good. He had indeed helped her like whoa, and that was the only reason she was on this train and not hiding in a bathroom.

Her grin softened when he lied about the food ... for her, and she gratefully went to sit beside him, moving one hand to squeeze at his. "Right. Unhealthy train food is much better." She lied back at him, sneaking a peek through the window before letting her eyes return to his face. She couldn't believe the term was almost over already. She had barely noticed it.

Dude, she couldn't believe O.W.L.s were DONE already! Woohoo!

Cheered up by that thought, and trying to avoid thinking about the long, Cliffie-less summer expecting her, she leant against her boyfriend and closed her eyes softly. "We do have .. plenty of time." Bleh, they didnt have plenty of time but hey. "Can you believe our fifth year is over?"

Honestly, skipping the feast had been the best decision he could've made. Sure, he loved food.. he loved the house-elves' nummy cooking.. and he loved, loved, loved the chocolate pudding..

He loved Evangeline more than all of that put together though. Looking after her really did mean more to him. Looooads more. The corners of his lips twitched into a soft smile when she took the seat beside him and then leant against him. Cliffie Pillow was back in business. Woooo!

"You got that right, Evie." He grinned when she said unhealthy train food was much better. "You're leaaaarning." Hehe. Yes, she was. "There's nothing better than a load of pumpkin pasties, chocolate frogs and cauldron cakes is there?" Just the thought of the snacks was enough to make his stomach give a rather loud and embarrassing rumble. EEEP! Evangeline probably felt that.

Aahhh. And she was probably used to it too. Heh.

Fifth year was over. Whoa. Evangeline's words seem to bring him to reality, and Clifford blinked. "Wow.. We only have .. what? Two terms left." EEEE!

Aggie's attention perked up at the word "Friend." Since when did the two boys consider her a friend? That was a new twist. It appeared that in boy-land, once you took a snowball upside the noggin you were a member of the club. This brightened greatly Aggie's day.
But Aggie's brightness was quickly dulled by the evil- no it was more then evil it was....a dissecting look that the younger girl was giving her. Subconsciously, Aggie took a step back and looked down at Jeeves who returned the uncertain look with his big honey brown eyes.

"Hi-yo," Aggie greeted in turn looking to Tobi for guidance. The girl across from her looked like she was going to eat her with that sickeningly sweet and oh so false looking smile. "Why do I get the feeling," she asked nobody in particular. "Like I stepped into a house full of Ashwinders?"

Vanessa thought about her sister's as she leant against Miles. She really wished that they had grown up a little over the summer, she really didn't what a replay of last year, where Chloe had followed her to Diagon Alley. That was not cool. And she didn't want it to happen again. Especially seeing as Chloe and Hollie would be coming to Hogwarts next year. She wouldn't be able to escape from them then. At least could her summer be free.

Oh dear. She'd brought it up again, not thinking that it might upset Miles. The whole reason she thought that they should talk to Hugo, was so that they could clear things up and all get along again. Well, as best as they could. She hadn't gotten along with Hugo that much in the first place, but she wanted Miles and Hugo to be on speaking terms. They were best friends after all. "Ermm....Yes," She nodded, as she slipped her hand into his. "We owe you an explanation Miles. I know that I don't want to bring it up. But I think we need too."

Cale blinked. "Well, you haven't met Lucy yet. She's...beyond weird. The last day of break I found a tiny note scribbled on the bottom of more door that said 'Lucy was here' and it took me a tonnnn of spells to get it off," he explained. That girl really was something else, he had to admit.

"Oh lordy...not many things make me mad," he said, blinking again and shaking his head so that his curls fell in his face. "Unless she's overexaggerating...she COULD thing it will get us completely furious but maybe it only makes us mildly furious."

Lucas entered the train with his bag still closed as he had just returned yesterday and had been informed that the term had ended.

Well atleast it wasn't a complete waste of time. I got to meet my friends.He thought and he was right he was really beginning to feel lonely at home.A trip to Hogwarts-that's what he called it- had refreshed his mind a bit.


He started to look in the compartments to see if anybody he knew was inside so that he could sit. He had to admit he didn't know a lot of them.

Well that's the consequences of staying away for 5 months. People you barely know forget you then there are the new arrivals .
It seemed as if the place was full of it.

He was beginning to loose hope when he saw Cale and Anna sitting in a compartment.

"Thank God! You can't believe how happy I am to see you guys.Can I join you?"He asked them both.

"I guess I'll meet her soon enough, though," Anna replied. "After Hawaii, I'll be showing up on your doorstep a little more than Ezra Greenboat would like for me to. You should come to my house, too. There are no brothers and sisters there to bother us. We can actually have a peaceful summer without all the trouble, you know." Anna dug through her bag and pulled out a chocolate frog for herself. "Oh, I bought you something at the trolley on the way in. Here," she said, handing him a whole package of Jelly Slugs. Anna ripped into her chocolate frog and started to eat. It was a wonder she could even stand to be around chocolate frogs now-a-days thanks to Nico Toussaint.

"Where is everyone?" Anna asked, throwing the paper from her candy back into her bag. "I guess they all sat up front this time. We can always go hunt for them later on. I guess the prefects will have to make their rounds soon anyway."

As Mari spoke, Elizabeth put an arm around her shoulders, lightly giving her friend a one-armed hug. "I thought something was going on when we saw him in the third-floor corridor," she confessed. "I didn't know what, but something." She paused for a second, absorbing everything she had been told just now, then hugged Mari again. "You're not a fool. Just, maybe he's not as intelligent as he likes to think he is. If he thinks it's okay to hurt other girls when he knows he wants to be with Kayla." She was starting to be glad that she had only ever seen him as someone that was interesting to talk to, nothing more.

Nothing made her feel better than having Clifford smiling at her like that, and she just about refrained from nuzzling her nose on his neck ... it usually made him giggle like whoa, and she really wanted to hear that. It was fuuuuuunny! And it made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But she wasn't sure if he would appreciate that, so she settled with squeezing his hand.

"I had to learn eventually, no?" She asked teasingly, wondering if he actually thought she was ... learning as he called it. She knew that no unhealthy food was better than a full Hogwarts feast, but he had lied for her. So she'd play the game too. Hehe.

It was hard not to think that way when Clifford started enumerating all the yummyness he'd buy ... and a loud stomach grumble was heard. Oh goodness. Had it been any other boy's stomach, she would've found it incredibly rude. But as it was Clifford's ... well, she was used to it and honestly, it was all toooo cute! "Suppose not. Except for a big bowl filled with coconut ice cream." Hehehe.

Her coconut dreams were interrupted by his words and she nodded solemnly. Two more terms. Then they were ... free. Free from homework, house points, cups ... quidditch .. Wait. She looked over at Clifford and chuckled quietly to herself. She hoped she wouldn't be free from Quidditch. Because if she was free from Quidditch she was free from Clifford.

"It's a scary thought.." Scary and weird. She could still remember the day they had met! When they were ... eleven! Now they were both sixteen. Whooa.

Wheeeeeeee. He was recieving a lot of hand squeezing today. That was good, it meant Evangeline was happy. Hehe. He was making her happy. Knowing that he was making her happy, made him incredibly happy.

This was going to be a happy train ride home. YAY!

"Uh huh. It was about time you learnt, I suppose." He teased playfully, treating her smaller hand with a squeeze back. Unhealthy train snacks, might've been the best, but he still couldn't bring himself to leave Evangeline to go get some. Nuuuu. They were all cosy now.

"It is scary.." He agreed seriously when the thoughts of food that were clouding his brain finally decided to poof. "But awesome too. No studying.. no lessons.. no homework.. Heaven."

And even better than that ... nothing at aaaall to stand in the way of him and his Evie. EEEEP! "I sorta wish it would get here already."

Miles felt the comfortness slip away as Vannie continued to mention it. But, she was right, he had to face up to his fear, and to do that, was to talk about it. He knew it wasn't on purpose. It couldn't be, they wouldn't do that to him, would they? Miles knew Vannie very well, and she wouldn't, he knew from gut instinct. Although by the sounds of it, he was depending on what he knew. And what you knows, wasn't always true. Miles nodded, not really in her direction. "Well, I guess you do owe me an explanation." He sighed. Ofcourse he wanted to hear it, but what if it wasn't good?

What if it was something like; 'I've decided I love Hugo more than you. I just love his blonde locks!' Then why would she be snuggling up to him at this very moment? An act? Now Miles was just being silly. He sat up slightly, and hunched over a little. "Fine," He said. "Shall we go look for him?" knowing straight away he would be with Evolette and Terry, by the sounds of it, those three were inseperable.

Vannie was regretting mentioned the whole Hugo thing. Miles was feeling uncomfortable now, and she didn't like it. It was true that it made her feel uncomfortabl too, mainly because it made her remember how much she had probably hurt Miles. She just couldn't get the memories of Miles' crying every time she thought about it. She never wanted him to cry again. She was a little surprised when he sat up, and she stared at him, feeling guilty. If she'd never kissed Hugo, this would all be fine now. Or maybe he would have left her for Fallon.

"Miles," She sighed as she leant forward, and stroked his face lovingly. "You know I regret it," She whispered as she looked into his eyes. "I can only love you. Nobody else. I won't allow anyone to ever replace you. Your my world," She stood up, standing in front of him, and enveloped him in a hug, wanting him to believe her. "Yes. The sooner we do this. The sooner we can be alone again," She smiled at him, as she offered him her hand.

Yaaaaaaaay!! Evangeline practically bounced on her seat with happiness when Clifford squeezed her hand back . It was amazing, but after all this time, having her hand on his still made electricity jolts travel through her. It was the bestest feeling in the world, honestly.

"Oh, what can I say?" She mockingly started, bowing her hand and appearing to look sorry. "I'm a slow learner when it comes to food." Bwahaha. She was a crappy learner when it came to food and a crappy liar too .. so he probably knew she was just teasing, really. And she was okay with it.

Teasing was their thing. Since always.

She smiled softly when he agreed with her in the scary department but immediately broke out in a fit of laughter when he went on about there'd be no studying, lessons or homework. "And no house points and blasted cups! Dont forget that." She chuckled, unable to resist it any longer and running her nose over his shoulder. EEEP!

But there was more to it.

They'd be adults, so no more Brutus between them. No more summers with little to no contact ... nothing. Just Cliffie and Evie. YAAAY! I know what you mean .. I do too." She whispered back, pressing an ickle kiss into his arm.

Mari sighed and closed her eyes for a moment as Elizabeth hugged her and she leaned against her friend for a bit. " I thought it was us, I thought he meant to make it more than what it was. But he didn't. Or at least I don't think he did. He said he wanted a distraction, and I should have known it was from her. That's when I should have walked away." She looked at her hands, where her fingers were twisting the fabric of the sleeves of her sweater as she spoke. " I let myself care about him too much. I never used to be this way, Elizabeth." She said, finally looking at the other girl. " I don't know why I choose to be so vulnerable to the people who always end up hurting me one way or another." She admitted.
