And around, and around, and around. Just watching her gave kyler the biggest headache. "I swear, you stupid mammal bird, one more time around and imma take A flyswatter to your-" And the compartement door opened without warning, and forest green eyes quickly turned to the newcomer, and he knew those blonde curls by momory. Kyler didn't even have to bother saying anything. "-to your FURRYHEAD. GEDOWN, NAO."

The mamal bird never listened, never! She was just as stubborn as it's owner!

And the first sentence that came from lima's mouth, had kye's brows shooting up automatically. "Snogging's not my thing." HAH! 'Course it wasn't, riiight anything to keep lima's pretty lips away from him.. until he gave in, anyway.

Oh, but she was only joking. Not so nice. Kyler played it off, giving A small snicker. and soon the grin faded to A large frown once the bat finally landed. "Oh, right. Once the pretty blonde girl comes in, she settles down. You're my savier." And now cookie was trying to make A nest in her hair, kyler busted up, sinking into his seat. "Last time she made A nest in someone's hair, she started eating it, it smelled so much like chocolate." Boy, did he miss Bella.

"I donno what's wrong with me and animals, you tell me!" He gave A small pout. "I've been only wishing to know, so I could stop this slow torture!" Said kyler in A dramatic cry of plee.

Jean Raoul wanted to sit alone. He started in the front of the train, peering into compartments, passing them all by either because they already had occupants or because he thought them to be surrounded by far too many people. He continued like this until he reached the very last compartment. He couldn't go any farther, obviously, and now that he had gotten to the very back he certainly did not want to retrace his steps until he rediscovered an empty compartment.

So, grudgingly, he knocked gently on the door and pulled it open a bit--just far enough for him to stick his head inside.

"Pardon me, mademoiselle," he said politely, nodding to the girl who was slouched on the seat. "Would you be so kind as to allow me to join you?"

Yes, he could have just sat down without asking and ignored the girl for the remainder of the train ride. But his upbringing--and the sour expression on the girl's face--told him to do otherwise, and so he was polite about it.

Xehanna shook her hand and sat down. "Nice to meet you Amanda. Wow your owl is beautiful!" she said her eyes widening and turning diamond yellow in ahmazement. "what's his/her name?"

"Dem!" she exclaimed. "hey of course there's room. Demetria id like you to meet Whitney and Amanda. Whitney, Amanda, this is Demetria." she said pointing to Whit then Amanda. "I met Whit last year and we became like twins at first sight and i just met Amanda. They're second years, too!" she said. patting the seat next to her for Demetria to sit. her eyes were deep purple in excitement.

Xehanna smiled and laughed with her. "what can i say, i know you too well!" she said laughing. "I see haha. Oh thats right. Did you not go back?" dumb question, obviously not. change of subject desperatly needed. "It went pretty well, i made some money and visited with my family." she said smiling, her eyes turning bright orange.

"Right," spoke the blond after several seconds of hesitation. Instinct told her to open the compartment window and chuck it out, never to be seen (or heard!) again. The plant continued to honk loudly and repeatedly as if it sensed the girl's hostility. Wrinkling her nose again, Daphne placed the plant on the furthest empty seat in the compartment she could find, before pocketing her handkerchiefs.

"Cale sounds..." Daphne paused. It wouldn't do to make enemies by thoughtlessly insulting someone's friend, be it true or not. "Interesting." Tucking a rebel tendril behind her small ear, Miss Hopton extended her hand politely. "My name is Daphne Hopton. Sorry about not introducing myself in the beginning, you seemed a bit--in need of rescuing."

This whole not mentioning her parents and lineage upon introduction was getting easier and easier! Perhaps those hours of practicing in front of the mirror at an attempt of appearing normal paid off after all.

"Well, what kind of owl are you going to get?" Amanda asked curiously, getting a Owl Treat out of her bag and feeding it to Belkin. She noticed another girl she didn't know enter the compartment, she honestly couldn't wait till she was at Nico's house.

"His name is Belkin, I got him last year. He's my lovely, friendly Snowy Owl" Amanda said to Xehanna. "Would you like to pet him? He won't bite, I promise" She said, holding out her owl slightly.

"Very nice to meet you." she smiled at them then sat down next to Xeh. "Xeh has told me a lot about you, Whitney." she told her. "So am I the only one is going to want summer vacation to go by fast?"

Cale sensed - no heard danger. Robin didn't honk like that unless it felt that it was going to get eaten or knocked over. Cale picked up his pace in worry knocking a ex-firstie into the wall with his elbow as he hurried past with his aquarium of pond water. What in the world was Tobi doing to his plant?!

"Tobi! If Robin is missing one petal I'm going to kee-" his threat was cut off as he tried to push the compartment door open with his toe.

Penny walked to the back of the train. When she found an empty compartment, she claimed it. She pulled her book out of her bag and started to read. Hopefully this would be an uneventful ride home. But then one never knew.

Charming, she had to think to herself, a small smile forming on her lips. "That isn't what I've heard, Greyson," she added teasingly. She had heard rumors about her friend. And she found them amusing. Men, they can be so weak when it comes to women.

She broke out into laughter. "you're welcome? But can you take her off of my head, please?" She was starting to feel nervous as Cookie starting moving around a bit up there. "Please tell me that I don't smell like chocolate, Kyler! 'cause I will flip." She put her hands to her head and tried poking the animal. "Shoo!! I don't want a bald spot!"


"And as far as that goes... Maybe you have an anti-animal magnet? Like you are a chick magnet... I mean you can't have everything in life, can you? It has to all balance out." Yes, she was aware that she made absolutely no sense whatsoever. But she didn't care.

Put the plant down... Put the abberant plant down.... PUT. THE. PLANT. DOWN.

Tobi felt much more safe once Robin was perched on a compartment seat far away from him. Not completely safe from the plant, but safe from Cale's retribution if the well meaning but misguided girl had liberated the daffodil off the back of the caboose. Robin, at least was no longer honking like an out of controll clown car as she had been nearly from the moment the girl had taken her.

"Cale is just.... enthusiastic... about herbology. I have a sister like that."

The girl, Daphne, introduced herself then.

"I WAS in need of a rescue. If you hadn't come along I'd still be standing here with the plant as far away from me as I could!" He smiled at his own panic. It's always funny after the fact -

And that's when Cale burst into the compartment.

"And that would be Cale..." Tobi added dryly, he stepped over to the door to open it for his friend, who sounded murderous. "Calm down mate! Robin is fine, no more panicked than I was."

He threw open the door with gusto so that it might be revealed to his friend that all was well.

"That's too true." she said with a huge smile. "Um,I'm going back now? Are you a little lost huh?" Whitney asked sarcastically with a snort. "Nice eyes. Orange always was my favorite color."
"Well I'm not sure. I'm hoping I'll just see it and know that's the one I want." Whitney also thought this about a guy though. She saw that Amanda was rather annoyed with all of the people but didn't want to be rude to the others.
So she's been talking about me? "Is that right? I'm sure it was all good?" Whitney answered raising an eyebrow. "It's nice to meet you too. No, I can't wait for summer to be over." she said raising her hand for a high five.

After she'd loaded her luggage onto the train, Anna Greingoth made her way throughout the train looking for Cale or any of her other friends. When she was sure Cale wasn't in the front of the train, Anna made her way to the back and started looking again. Where on Earth could he be? It can't be THAT difficult to locate someone with a head of hair like Cale's. As she searched, Anna though back to the events of the closing term. To say the beginning had been a tad on the tough side was definitely an understatement. At least it had gotten better, though. For a while there, Anna didn't think she was going to make it without admitting herself to St. Mungo's. Then, of course, there was her dilemna with Amortentia. Ewww, Nicholai Toussaint. Hopefully she'd never have to deal with him again.

Finally, just as Anna was about ready to turn and head for the front of the train again, she saw the tiniest hint of a sideburn and a few curls through the window of a compartment in the very back. She swung open the doors, walked in, and let out a tiny squeal. "It's overrrrrr!" she exclaimed, sliding in next to Cale on the seat he'd taken up. "Hawaii here we come! I absolutely can't wait for that trip! Anyway, it's been quite a term, huh?"

"Yeah, that's what it was like for me when I saw Belkin, I saw him and immediately fell in love. I knew he was meant to be mine." Amanda said, tickling her owl gently, smiling.

Her hand hung awkwardly in the air, and Daphne stared down at it even as she heard an unfamiliar voice hollering some kind of threat. Retreating her hands, the blond rolled her eyes as soon as the young man she had saved turned his back to her to allow access to the compartment.

Peering around him, she scrutinized the shouter, sizing him up. He looked peculiar with a large aquarium full of possibly germ infected water, and what were those ugly looking things floating ominously inside it? Parasitic, she told herself. Definitely parasitic.

Unsure of what one were to say or do in such a situation, Miss Hopton raised a hand and waved. "You certainly do seem as enthusiastic as your friend described you." And mental. Positively mental.

Cale grinned as Anna walked into the compartment and chuckled. "You can say that again! This term was...ridiculous," he said with a eye roll. "Hawaii here we come! I can't wait!"

He stretched out across the seat again and sighed once more. "I need a nap when I get home. Like, a longgggg well deserved nap. And I need to burn my Herbology book." he added as an afterthought.

'That isn't what I heard, Greyson.' How could rumors not spread!!1! He furrowed his brows at her remark. "Well, i'd rather you not be my newest Guinea Pig for makeout skillz. So, subject changed." He sorted, cocking his head to take one last look at the grounds before leaving.

And out of all people who loved animals so much, Lima was the one to start flipping out. He watched her jab her finger into the bats belly, and cookie squeaked loudly, and ooooh, the look she gave. My gosh, she would eat her alive. "Oooh, now she's maaad," Kyler chuckled, swooping the bat off the blonde's head before before he had a Girl-against-MamalBird brawl inside his compartment, and tucked her helplessly inside his drench coat.

"Oh, HAHA!, Meister. You're reeeal amusing." Kye snickered, shaking his head. "Sure, I guees that would work. I have A better advantage with girls, than animals, and boooy do I love the life I live." Hahahahahah- Ha.

Whitney decided she'd leave her compartment for a few minutes to go find a few other people she knew. She walked down the aisle and a few compartments away she saw Lima sitting alone with a guy. Whitney had been wondering how she was doing. She stopped at the door and knocked hoping to be let in.

Cale stumbled a little under the weight of the aquarium. ""Humph..." He caught himself and spun around nearly knocking into the girl who had decided to join Tobi in Cale's absence. The aquarium soon found its way to the floor where Cale shoved it into the corner of the compartment with his toe. Since the train wasn't moving the water soon leveled out and the gillyweed growing inside of it bobbed to the surface, small rat-tail plant ends poking out of the water. "You best not have hurt it - Robin's being entered into a plant contest in Acerbus next week."
"Enthusia- Who are you?" Cale turned around rubbing his aquarium holding sore hands on his thighs. She was short - possibly an ex-2nd year and Cale had never seen her before.

"Cale, this is Daphne Hopton." Tobi interjected. Cale still seemed pretty upset, let them turn to light hearted introductions, yes? "Daphne, this is Cale Thornton, he's a Ravenclaw prefect. A bit obsessed with Herbology, and he has a good knack for it."

Tobi was at a loss for what to tell Cale about Daphne. He didn't know anything really. "Cale, Daphne is... she's a Gryffindor! Like me! I've seen her in my Common Room before. She's looking after someone's.... something? She's.... blond? Hey so am I. "

Oh Brilliant Avalon... No wonder Dad was a Ravenclaw, and you weren't - you didn't have the wit.

"What a pretty name." she said smiling. "I can, really? Sure i'd love to." she reached out to pet the owl. its feathers were so soft it was like touching velvet, snow covered velvet. Xeh's favorite kind haha. she got carried away petting she forgot to breathe. she sucked in a deep breath and stopped petting the owl. "oh i just adore animals. I got a job offer for summer to work at an animal shelter. I'm pretty sure i'll take it." she said smiling. just then a meow shouted from above. "Melvin! Oh i'm so sorry boy." she'd forgotten about her cat. "is it alright if i let him out. he's very nice and would never hurt a soul. well... he doesnt hurt my mothers owl." she said, her eyes turning teal in curiosity but back to medium violet when she began to think.

Xehanna blushed, her eyes went pink from the embarassament. had she really talked about Whitney that much that Dem would remember her? "Oh yes, so very much so." she said answering Dem's question.

Xehanna's eyes turnedlight purple. she was so confused. "I think i need to wake up or something. i don't know what im talking about." she said laughing. "i need coffee. Would you like some?" she said conjouring up 2 cups out of thin air,not bothering to wait for Whitney's response, and filling hers with cream and sugar. she sipped it, then snapped her fingers to make the pot go away but keeping the cream sugar and a spoon for Whitney. "okay i think im back on track." she said laughing a little her eyes turning back to orange. "Really?! Me too! That and light teal." she said sipping her coffee again.

"Go ahead, I hope he doesn't attempt to hurt Belkin though." Amanda said, she was a bit wary, but she used to have a kitten who never bothered Belkin at all.

Irately, Daphne swept her honey gaze sidewards towards the terrarium she had put down on the empty seat. Turning her back to the boys in order to pick up the tree frog, she allowed herself to scowl profusely, her face hidden from view. These were clearly the same kind of specimen as that horrible honking leafy thing.

Picking up the nameless amphibian, Hopton took a deep breath before turning around, a warm and polite small on her pink lips.

"It's very nice to meet you Cale Thornton," spoke Daphne eloquently, trying very hard not to clench her jaw. "It's a tree frog, by the way," aided the blond to the fellow Gryffindor. Honestly, at least pretend you know what it is!

Thornton wasn't ringing a bell. She'd just have to write home and seek vengeanceinformation.

She started laughing so hard that the shaking she was doing started to agitate the bat on her head. "Oh, crap," she said as the thing dug it's claws into her head. She did not like bats when they were digging into her head and screaming in her ears.

Straightening herself up again, she forced herself to stop laughing, which made the bat finally shut up again. "I know you Kyler. You're just in denial. I could be your new guinea pig if you want." She gave another snort then let the subject drop.

"Oops," she muttered as the bat suddenly went insane. Maybe poking the thing wasn't the wisest thing she'd ever done. "OUCH!!" she exclaimed as the animal scratched her. "She's crazy I tell you!!" she added, as Kyler finally scooped her off of her head. "Now you are my Saviour, Kyler. You saved me from the evil monster bat." She started to rub her head where she was scratched.

"You are a real ladies man," she said smiling at him. "You could take Mads on and beat him maybe," she added giggling. But it was a little forced. She was still feeling upset over what had happened the day before. She wondered if Kyler had heard about it.

She was just going to ask him when there was a knock on the compartment door. Turning her head, she saw that it was her friend, Whitney. Suddenly smiling for real, she quickly got up and opened the door for the girl. "Hey, Whitney!" she said happily. Though she felt a little awkward as well, after the whole crying thing at the Feast.

She shook that out of her mind and told the girl to join them. "This is my lover boy, Kyler," she said indicating the boy she was with. She gave out a snort. "Nah, I'm just kidding. Though we did used to date a few years ago.

"Aww, how cute." said Whitney with a grin. "That'd be great if the same thing could happen for me. How did you choose the name Belkin?" Whitney asked curiously
Whitney knew exactly how her twin felt, the same thing usually happened to her. "That's probably exactly what you need." She told her with a wink. Than Xeh made a coffee pot and two mugs appear out of nowhere. 'God I love this girl.' Gratefully taking the cup of coffee,she took a sip not caring how hot it was. "Perfect." she said letting out a sigh. "Now that your back on track," Whitney said almost laughing, "what are your plans this summer?" Then she heard Twinny say that orange was her favorite color too. "How crazy!" she exclaimed not being able to believe how alike they were.

Xehanna smiled and stood up on the seat. she unlocked the cage and opened the door. when she sat back down her fluffy tuxedo kitten popped his head out of the cage. he jumped down and looked around. he saw the owl, sniffed it a little, then curled up on Xeh's lap. "aww, who's a good boy.' she cooed. "He's a very friendly kitten. Cats are my favorite types of animals." she said looking at the kitten, purring and already fast asleep. she pet his head lightly.

Xehanna inhaled the smell of the coffee before taking her next sip. "Well i got a job offering at an animal shelter so i'll prolly do that. and hang out with my friends of course. Maybe you could visit me at my house." she said laughing. she sure would miss her skittles. but she hoped to have her over sometime. "What about you?" she said her eyes turning teal from curiosity.
