Amelia walked into the Transfiguration Classroom and smiled as she saw Professor Pierce. No Pierce might not have been one of her favorites, but it was nice seeing a familiar face teaching - even if there were no boys, a minor fact that she had forgotten.

"Good day Professor," she said smiling, as she took a seat towards the front and prepared herself for the lesson.

"Professor..." Cassandra said as she stepped to her usual seat in front of the class. "Congratulations on becoming Head of House..." Cassandra said not wholly meaning it. She still missed Professor Pride, and having a Gryffindor as Head of house wasn't her ideal situation...

Allie walked into the classrom, she was excited for this class.
"Hello Professor!" she said."How are you?"

Alex smile, "Hello Amelia."
"Thank you Cassandra, I hope I live up to your expectations." she said with nod of her head.
"I'm doing well, and yourself?"

Amelia looked over to her right with the sound of an all too familiar drawl addressing the Professor. Fancy that; the Slytherin Prefect sitting in the front with the Hufflepuff Captain. "Hello Cassandra," she said quietly, before looking back up to the Professor.


"How are you today?" she asked casually, adjusting the things on her desk so she'd be ready when the lesson started.

"Good. I'm excited. This subject sound fun!" said Allie.

Cassandra turned her head only to see Amelia Rose. She gave a fake smile and said "Rose... I'm sure you are well, now that you have less duties... demoted to Captain and all..."

Amelia gasped, slightly horrified at what Cassandra had said, but honestly did not expect much less from her. That girl had no concept at all of what a captain did... Shaking her head, she kept her cool and reminded herself they were in a lesson. "Not demoted, Cassandra. Just a lateral transfer... and actually you would be surprised how much more duties I have now," she retorted back. "What with organizing signups for not one, but two schools... and then tryouts. It's been an insane few weeks."

"I'm doing well, thank you m'dear." Alex said with a smile.
"I'm glad you think so, Transfiguration has always seemed interesting to me, even in my school days."

Seconds after the words were out of her mouth, an owl flew in through the open window and landed on her desk. Alex gently removed the letter and, seeing the Ministry seal on the front, gritted her teeth and her face went grey. She sat there staring at the envelope, not wanting to open it.

Amelia was about to respond back when she saw an owl fly in and deliver a letter to the Professor. Watching the professor's face change colors, the seventh year suddenly became worried. Rising from her chair, she patted the woman on the arm gently. "Is everything okay? Would you like me to open it for you?" she asked cautiously.

Tomasina walked into the classroom. This was one of her best subjects and she was praying that it was a proper lesson and not one of those silly ministries lessons. It would kill her to sit though another one of those. She smiled at the Professor noting the look on her face. "Hello Professor." She placed a box of chocolate frogs on her desk. "Welcome to Slytherin." She hadn't really gotten to know Professor Forrester so she thought it would be nice to at least get to know her Head of House at Belle's

She walked down the desks seeing Ameile and Cassandra looking daggers at each other, she walked around that mess not wanting to be caught in the crossfire. She choose the seat behind Cassandra and pulled out her things.

"Is that a leter from the misitry?" aske Allie worried. She rememberd how history had died in HIstory of MAgic.

"Oh... I'm sure it has." Cassandra said not believing one little bit. "It must be why you were placed there..." Cause she couldn't handle the stress of Prefectdom... She smirked and turned back to the professor.

Cassandra looked at the letter on the desk... Ministry issued... grand... She watched Pierce to see what she'd do, if she would open it, or let the Puff suckup do it for her.

Crystal entered, Hello Professor im Crystal DiNozzo first year hufflepuff. seeing the look on the professors face she added Are you okay Professor?

Alex jumped as Amelia touched her arm, "No thats alright dear, I can manage." she responded patting the girls hand. After Amelia walked away, Alex opened the letter gently.

Alex's face went quickly from grey to red. 'How can they do this!' she thought angrily, 'I worked my butt off there for almost 25 years! How dare they!

Alex crumpled up the piece of paper and threw it in her trash can. Looking back to the class, she said in a strained voice, "We will wait a few more minutes before begining class."

Amanda walked into the room and sat down, she noticed that Professor Pierce looked quite odd although she saw the letter from the Ministry on her desk. She wondered if this was going to be anything like HoM, she dreaded that first lesson with copying facts about the Minister.

Amelia turned back to the Slytherin while waiting for her response from the professor. She knew what the girl was getting at, but didn't dare say it. The girl clearly thought she was an unfit prefect and thus was put into the position of captain, because according to her, it was lower standard.

She would have retorted back with something, but stopped short as the Professor touched her hand. Nodding as the Professor said she could manage, she returned to her seat and watched her open the letter. The Professor was RED!? Oh no, that couldn't be good. Tempted to summon it from the trash can, she decided it against it for fear of losing points. She would just need to either learn legilmency or talk to the Professor later...

Sighing she turned back to Cassandra. "I was placed in the position of captain because I'm a fair flyer, organized, and a role model. That's more than you could say for yourself," she snapped back at her.

"Is everything alright professor?" Cassandra asked noting her new head of house's expression.

Tommy sat at her desk, well so much for trying to make a good impression on her Head of House. She could have walked into the room wearing a a spotted bow tie with a pair of frilly pink knickers on her head and a pair of galoshes and nothing else and she wouldn't have noticed her. Oh well, she thought. Better just stick to her lessons and not even bothering with trying to get to know the professors. It seemed that was a one way floo connection.

"Oh I agree..." she said with a smirk as she turned to the ex prefect. "You are only fair at those things... whereas I excel at what I do. But Rose, the professor will be starting the class, and if you remember... you aren't supposed to chat." She turned back around, nodded at Tommy and kept quiet.

"Alright class settle down. Today we will be learning what goes into making 'transfiguration food'. like canary creams." As she said this, Alex took a canary cream out of her pocket and popped it in her mouth. She turned into a giant canary, chirped a few times, molted her feathers and was once again Professor Pierce. "Any questions so far?"

Wow, that was amazing.
"No, Professor." she said.

Tommy wanted to laugh in Amelia's face but she held back. That might push the poor girl over the edge. She seemed to be flustered trying to hold up against the tidal wave that was Cassandra's sarcasm. That too special training and dragon hide gloves for that kind of warfare. She did however let a small smile play at the corners of her mouth. She nodded back at Cassandra not wanting to lose points for talking.

Finally a good lesson, she thought as she watched the professor turn into a canary.

Raising her hand, Daphne wondered if it was appropriate to ask but only the brave made history: "Professor, I have one question. Does transfiguration food contain calories?"

If it was so, Daphne was afraid she was going to have to sit this one out. Who knew how much damage a Canary Cream could do to your thighs.
