Woah. Ancient Runes. Ryan had tried this lesson once and it boggled his mind. He entered the class, saying a polite "hello" to Professor Clark, and took a seat toward the front of the room. Prime seating. YES!

Ancient Runes was one of those lessons that made your brain hurt due to too much thinking - but still, Clifford wandered into the classroom with a polite nod to Professor Clark.
Taking a seat behind the Ravenclaw Captain, Clifford pulled out his parchment and quill ready. Hopefully he wouldn't completely embarrass himself too much this lesson.

"Runes are an ancient alphabet used to interpret ancient spells. They can also be used with Divination." Heath's hand shot up and answered the question the man asked. Runes wasn't really his favorite subject but he seemed to know a pretty good bit about it.

The Divination aspect is mostly used to know the future, but of course its not always true because the future is never fixed. Once you change a path, you alter the future with it" he smiled, "so I won't advice you seeking a woman's mind with those sets" he chuckled before waving his wand at the board revealing the Runic alphabets:
"Now inside each small box i gave you, you'll find those same pieces. They constitute Runic Alphabet. But before we start a fun little exercise can someone guess why Runes is used for magic as well? "

Why they're used for magic? Uhh......did it have something to do with the Druids? Ryan was just making things up on the spot, now. He had seen a Muggle show once, though, and there were glowing symbols that looked a lot like these little thingies, so he might as well say it. "Because they glow, sir?" he said raising his hand. He had no idea.

Hitachi stretched his right arm out and held it with his left. "Well, my guess would be that they can produce sorts of magic that we are not usually familiar with. And we as in young students. Of course I am sure there are plentiful masters out there, you included professor, who know well of runes." He laid down his arms back onto his desk about pulled out his Ancient Runes notebook. He'd have to do a lot of writing, no doubt.

Clifford's head was already hurting, and his brow furrowed in concentration. Jeeez. Why did those rune things have such funny names? He had trouble trying to read normal words!

Working in pairs? Who should Ryan work with? He felt bad about not partnering up with James from the charms lesson a while ago, but he seemed a bit distracted. He turned to Cale and gave him one of those looks. "Partners?" he said.

Ryan chuckled as Cale asked Ryan to partner up at the same time as Ryan himself had asled Cale if he wanted to partner up. "Sure thing, mate!" he said happily. Perhaps he could partner up with James during potions or something.
