Jack gasped as Savannah revealed what was in her blanket. He was completely shocked; his eyes widened and his eyebrows flew upwards. He didn't know what he was expecting but it wasn't this. It was a badger.

"Savannah." He almost whispered. It was weird to use her full name but it just came out. "Savannah. That's a badger." He was staring at the tiny creature and although it was quite cute, Jack really didn't know how to react.

Jack was scared of most animals, no matter what it was. Probably the cause of a lot of incidents with animals as a child. He dislike Care of Magical Creatures because of the Creatures, obviously.

Professor Clark seemed ok about the small animal though and Jack was even more surprised about that. His friend had secretly been keeping a badger and yet that was perfectly fine. Weird. Jack just continued to stare, although he had taken a step away from the group and the animal, in fright.

Rapunzel hadn't realized she had been holding her breath until she saw Professor Clark's reaction. A good reaction. Then she let her breath out in a happy sigh and smiled to see Clark trying to hold the baby badger.

Her happiness was short-lived, however, when the professor mentioned diseases, and she had to say something.

"What sort of diseases, Professor?" she spoke up carefully, recalling Vannah's nickname for the badger. "Rabies? That's bad, isn't it? Do you have to test him or something? Will it hurt the little badger?" She was almost rambling now, and looked to her friends to see if they were equally concerned.....although the only one she could see was Jack backing away for some reason....

Feeling an arm wrap comfortingly around her, Savannah let out the breath she was holding. Well..Professor Clark wasn't dim,..erm, ill. He knew it was a Badger, that was..good observation.

"Yes-" The fourth year paused. Truth be told, she hadn't even thought of disease till now. She was far too concerned with taking care of him, which..fell under the same category. Meeting the Professors gaze, Savannah felt slightly guilty now for not trying to find out before now. "But, Professor if Rabid carried any disease, wouldn't I have gotten sick from him by now?" She asked, hesitantely. "I've been handling him since two days before term started.." Really, she was begining to realize she should have took more precaution in handling and taking care of the little cub; but again that wasn't the thing on her mind, Rabid's life was. Getting him away from where he was abandoned had been her number one concern.

Savina nodded, biting her lip once more and stepped a tiny foot forward to hand the badger baby over, gently, offering his blanket as well just incase since she wasn't sure. Ocean blue eyes curiously traveled onto Jack, as he spoke. She only nodded, again, raising an eyebrow as she noticed his small distance from the badger club. Before she was able to ask anything, Rapunzel's question caught her, and attention shifted onto the professor. She chirped up once more; figuring it be best to get everything out now while he was going to examine the Badger, "Rapunzel also suggested,..is it possible he might hold magical powers? Just...a thought?" It was probably a silly one, yet not one she was willing to so easily side-step. Better safe then sorry.

"Good god no!" Fabian said shaking his head, "whoever told you I torment?" smiling slyly at Rapunzel, "well i do. Only on people though, not creatures" he teased the girl before explaining further, "yes rabies is one disease. But there could many others" he frowned slightly as he glanced at Savannah.

"Possibly" he answered her question, "but that brings us to the question of have you felt any irregular symptoms lately?" he tilted his head from one side to side taking in her skin color, eye color, and other facial features as if searching for something out of place. "Thank you" he added as Fabian took the badger into his arms and moved around to lay him on his desk.

"Don't fret lass" he murmured in a soothing voice at Savannah then at her friends, "there could be many reasons among others" he added reassuringly figuring easily the strength of the attachment between the creature and its current owner, "give me one day with the pup and I'll be able to answer all your questions, and in the mere case I find anything be reassured that I will be able to deal with it!".

Lyra heard Fabian's shout from the other side of the door and knew in a moment, he was there. "Well, Josh," she spoke with a dominating grin on her face as she seemed to be dragging Josh by the tie, her Hufflepuff tie at that. "Seems we are in luck. Now my uncle will have to tell the story of how you became, Mr. Bond..."

She paused for a moment turning around to look into his...Sigh...handsome blue eyes, then looked down to straighten his shirt that seemed to shift in the transport. "Yep, I'm ready." And with that, she pushed opened the door as she returned her fingers to his tie.

Not seeming to pay attention to the students around, Lyra began to speak. "I understand that you are busy, my dear uncle, but we..." -sighs- "better yet, I need a clarification about something, if you don't mind."

Josh moved to pull the huffle tie a little." God woman your strangling me... Thats not love thats torture." he told her as he moved to rub his neck just a little. Crazy huffle. maybe she was a crazy trouble huffle girl. Poor fabian. nah she wasnt that bad. he instantly froze as she said she was going to find out why he was called mr. bond. " What!? Since when was this the plan... thats not the plan." he argued as it was already to late...oh gesh he was in trouble. " yes, alright." he mumbled as she pushed the door open. He moved to put an arm around lyra as she declared her uncles attention. whatever he was just being dragged here." you could just ask him later." he suggested.

Fabain's eyebrows shot to the roof, if that was possible as he saw the door swing open again. Of course, he should have known, Lyra was the only person that walks in without knocking. Hmmph..

"Ah Ah Ah!" Fabian warned Josh as his arms moved to destine itself around Lyra's shoulders. "You don't want to do that.. trust me" he glared daggers at the Slytherin. "I'm afraid you have to wait a bit longer for that story" his index finger shot through the air towards Josh, "you stand at the corner while I finish up with these students, they were here first" then moved his finger towards Lyra, "you stand behind me!" he warned. All this boy business was rubbing him the wrong way indeed.

Lyra shook her head in shock as she didn't know whether to laugh or just keep her mouth opened. She licked her lips then rubbed them together to create some moisture. "Yes," she began speaking in a slight baby talk as Fabian told Josh to stand in the corner. "Go and stand in the corner like a good little boy." She pressed her lips in a puckered kiss motion then giggled, but it soon stopped short as Fabian's finger made it's way towards her.

"Hey, hey, hey," she began to pout playfully. "No need for finger pointing. Be nice." She grinned a fake smile then stood behind Fabian as she was told.

Amelia breathed a huge sigh of relief as the badger seemed to go over well with Fabian, and if Rabid was found free of harm then they should be able to keep him. She felt her heart skip a beat with joy, as she watched the reactions of her peers. Strangely, Jack seemed a bit terrified of the creature which she found quite odd. Rapunzel was just... worried. And Vannah... well, she was just being Vannah.

She watched as Fabian took the badger from the fourth year and set him on his desk. The sixth year walked over to him before turning back to her 'badger club', "He will be alright, right Professor? I mean, will we be able to ... keep him?" she asked, biting her lip nervously.

Much to her dismay, Josh and Lyra came into the office with some urgent purpose. She realized then that they should probably hurry up with their business and leave.

Fabain locked eyes with his niece, he was not amused by her behavior. Not one bit, and he wondered sometimes whether she hangs around boys just to irritate him. "Don't pout me Lyra!" he said in a straight voice, but his eyes were flaming. "Your lucky its only finger pointing" he added before tucking the blanket around the badger for cover, good the two new guests were busy touching each other.

"Of course" he answered the Prefect, "by the time I'm done with him you can sure bet to take him back to your common room", breaking into a grin at the end.

Whoa.. papa bear needed to lay down on the paranoia. Josh stared at fabian as he was surprised. what did he do?! he didnt do anything. He was just standing there? He was actually being good."The cornor proffessor? Im not some little eleven year old kid... i didnt do anything." he complained as he made his way to the wall. Not the corner. THe wall. He moved to the play with the hufflepuff tie he had on. This was going to be a long journey.



Josh glared at her as she mocked."very funny." he told her.


Josh looked around to see Ameila here. His favorite huffle prefect. He smiled at her as he made a small wave. he stared at her for a few moments but then went back to looking straight ahead.It had been ages since they had last talked. Of course they didnt really talk much. which really did suck.

"Good," she said, quite pleased with that response. "Then I think we are done here. Thank you for your help Professor." And with that, the sixth year made her way toward the door, but looked over at Josh to find that he waved to her. Weird; he hadn't spoken to her in like ages. She politely waved back to him before motioning to the badgers that she entered with to follow her. "Alright Badgers... shall we move on?" she asked, leading the way out the door.

Lyra placed her hands behind her back and began to rock back and forth. She wanted to wait patiently for her uncle but the moments between their last conversation seemed so long ago. There were several things she had to speak to him about and others she pushed aside in her mind.

As she waited for her Hufflepuff team members to leave the office, she looked over to Josh who now stood in the corner. He seemed to know the Hufflepuff Prefect, Amelia. She hoped they did not have to wait long for Fabian's attention.

She rolled her eyes and sighed quietly.

Of course, Savannah abruptly shook her head at his question of her feeling any irregular symptoms. Other then a small rash that had appeared on her wrist, but it was gone, surely only a small irritation to the animal; an allergic reaction. Definitely nothing serious, nothing that she would mention. "Alright.." She nodded; it was best for Rabid to stay with Professor Clark so he could be checked over, nontheless she worried.

Her mood lifted upon the Professor saying they would be able to keep the badger cub, and she beamed. "Oh thankyou Professor Clark!" Savannah said sincerely, taking one last glance at the bundle on the desk and turned back to Amelia, nodding. Slipping her hand into Curt's before going to follow their Prefect out, and motioned for Rapunzel and Jack to come along as well.

Stopping in her tracks right at the door, She turned quickly, with one last question that came to mind. An important one. "Erm, Professor? Would it be wise to forewarn Professor Blaylock about 'Him'?"

Fabian eyed Josh as he made his way towards the wall, his eyes were still flaming. Even more when he caught the hufflepuff tie around his neck.

"Your very welcome!" he addressed the hufflepuffs as they decided to take their leave. "I don't see why not if you wish to do so Savannah" he smiled tenderly at her, "he's not harmful".

Not harmful at all! Absolutely brilliant! She thought, smiling brightly at the Professor and gave a wave of her hand. "Thankyou again," and with that said, The fourth year followed quickly after the badger club.

Vince walks or more bounced toward Clark's office not sure if he had made a good decision by coming here. He for one didn't understand. What was wrong with him lately. Of course the hospital wings might have been a better place but he didn't feel like going there. Knocking once, he waited to see if someone was there.

"Your very welcome!" Fabian grinned at Savannah even more once he noticed her tension softened.

"Come on in lad!" Fabian murmured at the Gryffindor stationed by his door.

Vince looked down as it feet not sure what to say or to do. This was something he wasn't comfortable with but he was compelled to go to him. "Hmm.... sir....... do you mind. I would like to talk to you about something but in private......" He was feeling so stupid for doing it but he was scared in the same times.

Fabian looked rather distracted. Yesh! distracted. Josh moved slowly against the wall as he made his way over to lyra.

Fabian raised a brow, his brow flew so high. Whats with private sessions today? "Sure you can" he replied rather quickly, but he was in a dilemma on his own. If he made Josh and Lyra wait outside, he had no watchful eyes on them. And if he left them here, in his office, he still had no watchful eye on what they would do. It was enough they switched ties so bluntly. "You can step outside into the corridor Mr. Archibal.. we'll have more privacy there" he motioned for the kid to head out first but glared warningly at both Josh and Lyra before he stepped out after the kid.

"What is it that you want to speak about?" he asked in a low tone.

Lyra noticed the boy Vince walk through the door. She remembered a very faint encounter of seeing him while at Hogsmeade last weekend. She stood behind Fabian, playing with Christian's soccer ball.

Private? she thought to herself rolling her eyes again. Was she ever going to get any alone time with her uncle sometime in the near future? She readjusted the soccer ball to where it was placed between her right arm and her hip, as her right leg was kicked out.

Lyra eyed Josh's movements with a sly grin as she listened to Fabian declare that they were moving their conversation outside for the moment. Oh no! NOT GOOD! Lyra and Josh along after what happened in the hallway? She smiled sweetly as Fabian closed the door.

Not sure if it was a good idea but still. He followed the professor outside, he tried to organize his thought. "Well........ it's hard to say......." What an idiot am I, I should have not caring about it and let it go. Pushing this thought aside, he looks up at mister Clark's. "Well your the animal expert around here and I have some strange things happening to someone I know. Is it normal that we, as human, will all of a sudden have fur grow on our back or anywhere else." Thorned between the decision of telling him he was talking about himself, he just wanted to know.

Josh watched the professor as he then smiled sweetly at him as he gave them a look. What was fabian so worried about?

Josh moved to stand next to her." Maybe we should of gave him some shampoo. what does he think im going to do to you. Snog you and drag you onto the desk?" he asked.

Lyra began to throw the soccer ball up in the air and catching it, anything to do besides look at Josh at this very moment. As he began to speak, she giggled and took hold of the ball keeping it in place. "Precisely!" Her eyes glanced in his direction until the ball began to bounce into the air again.
