The still life portrait slides back into place behind you and you find yourself standing in a warm, welcoming underground room. The room is decorated in the Hufflepuff house colours, and gathered around the large fireplace are several huge, plump sofas which resemble fluffy clouds. There are lots of comfortable armchairs scattered around for you to rest your weary bodies in.

A long table sits in the brightest part of the room (torches are lit all day long) for the students who would rather do their homework in here.

Portraits of past well known Hufflepuffs hang on one wall, among them are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks who died in the dark days of You-Know-Who's power. Remember and honour them as you walk to or from your dormitories.

Two perfectly round, barrel top doors are positioned on opposing sides of the common room. They both open to reveal underground tunnels which will lead you to your common rooms; boys on the right, girls on the left.

Isabelle thought this was pretty cool actually, although the fact that her father is not alive was the uncool part! Her and Isabella were so alike!

Austin walked into the Common Room and took a seat on the couch. He smirked and watched the semi-deserted common room's activity.

Finally, Curt made his way into the common room after practicing on the Quidditch Pitch for a few hours, he couldn't be rusty when the try-outs came around. Inhaling the warm atmosphere of the common room, Curt smiled because this place was very much his second home.

At first sight, Curt noticed alot of unfamiliar faces, especially first years. Curt walked over to his favorite chair by the fire and sat down, getting comfy. Curt thought of classes suddenly and let out a quick sigh, as he was really ready to get with his academics yet, but the time would come, eventually. Looking back behind him, Curt wondered where Savannah and all of his friends were. Shrugging slightly as he didn't spot any of them, Curt pulled out his Quidditch magazine and read the last few pages of an article he had been meaning to finish.

Sana wondered about his statement. It was strange and got an different impression of his parents. They should not treat him like that eventhough they were busy. But it was all upto them to decide, she shrugged.

"I know..Barn owls are pretty different and moreover yours's male, so there's no wonder of his habbits.." she laughed.

He could tell she was a bit confused by his statements about his parents. "thank you. It's nice to know that people care about me." He knew that she cared as she took his hand and squeezed it. It was warm.

He laughed. "Mine is really different. He just doesn't seem to care whatsoever that I am his owner."

Looking to the fireplace, Curt noticed Tiger and smiled, figuring that Savannah was nearby. Turning around, Curt spotted Savannah talking to the interesting third year, Ray. A smile spread across his face and he walked up to Tiger and patted him on the head saying, "Hey buddy."

Walking up to Savannah and Ray, Curt smiled and instantly thought of the creature that Savannah had been meaning to show him. "Hey, sorry I just got back from the Quidditch Pitch," Curt said, with a guilty smile. Curt nodded to Ray, "Hey Ray, how was your summer?" he said with start-of-the-year warmness. No longer being able to hold back the urge, Curt turned to Savannah with a wry smile, "So, can I see it now?" Curt said referring to the mysterious creature that Savannah was keeping around here. His excitement was obviously showing through, and Curts gaze shifted to the corners of the room in pursuit of this creature.

"Awe..no Finn, You should not be and your're not. You're a good child I've a good impression on you even in the shorter time, then how could you not be a good child? She could guess how Finn was worried about his own life.

Suzy was so comfortable she didnt realize that someone had sat next to her untill she said something. With a surprised smile she sat up and said, "Well, hello there! I am Suzanne, most people call me Suzy, im a fifth year." She said so excitedly

"Well, welcome to hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry!" She smiled and laughed, "Yes i know Vannah...she befriended me in my 3rd year when i started here. As you can tell i am american. Anyways, if you need any help with any thing just let me know." She smiled.

Suzy smiled, "Ah, yes i do. I hope to be an auror. Im not sure if i want to be one in the states or if im going to move here. I might move here. I love it here. London is one of my favorite places. My mother is from london. My father from the states. I am a half blood. Fathers a muggle." She smiled at lima, " Sorry im telling my life story. Tell me somthing about you."

Nicole smiled slightly as she saw Suzy sitting on the couch. She started wondering if Suzy would even remember her. Of course Nicole wasn't exactly the type of person people remember, but she had been friends with Suzy before. Nicole walked over to the couch and said, "Hey Suzy." She wasn't sure who the person sitting beside her was, but she looked new to the school.

That sounds exciting, an Auror is a really neat job from what I heard. So you are from the States? I've always wanted to visit there at some point. I've only ever been to Canada. And about me, there isn't too much. I'm a half-blood as well. Both my parents were Huffies as well, but my older brother was in Ravenclaw." Lima was getting more talkative as she got to know Suzy better. "So what is the best place to hang out at Hogwarts?" she added curiously.

Kiki sat down in a large armchair with her cousin Pluto, as it was big enough for both of them, as they were skinny for 7th years. They both began working, and whispering to each other. Kiki wished someone would come talk to her, she had only hung out with Pluto so far.

"yes i am from the states. Lived in florida most of my life." She giggled as Lima spoke. Lima was very excited and it made suzy happy. " Oh goodness the best place to hang out is by the lake. I go our and sit under this beautiful tree. I often sit there and write poetry." She smiled at the thought.

Nicole laughed a bit when she realized how long it took Suzy to realize who she was. But then again, she expected it. No one ever remembered her usually and she just blended in with the crowd. "Hi there Lima. Nice to meet you." She said quietly before looking at Suzy again. "How was your summer Suzy?"
