Lainey was dressed in vivid pink today. She'd never been so happy in all her life and it showed. Her ropes were pink, her shoes, her tights, her dress, her cheeks and lips. She had bought some candy from Honeydukes and each desk had a small mound of Peppermint Humbugs on it.
Lainey propped open her door and was ready to start her first lesson of the new term. | |

Rubbing his sore head, Clifford headed into the History of Magic classroom, only to stop abruptly in his tracks when he spotted the Professor.
Whoa. So much horrible pinkness.
"Um - am I in the right place?" He asked unsurely, glancing around. If the Professor expected them to dress up in pink too ... he'd start running right now.

Evangeline walked into the HoM classroom and blinked when she found Professor Lainey. Whooooa. So much pink! “Hello Professor. I suppose we’re talking about Valentine’s Day today…” She said smiling at the woman. It was a rather good timing. Not!
With a small chuckle nonetheless, she made her way to a desk and plonked herself on the chair. Pulling a piece of parchment and her quill out of her bag, she eyed the candy on the desk. Ew. Peppermint.
A very familiar voice reached her ears and she perked up. Clifford. Oh god. Really horrible timing. | |

Good to see you, how was your break?" she asked enthusiastically, before glancing around the classroom. The sixth year walked casually over to where Marco and Cassandra were sitting, and sat on Marco's other side.

Entering the class room, Savannah was always curious to see what Professor Lainey had cooked up for the lessons, but today it dawned on her almost immediantly what the subject would be about. Valentines day, perhaps?
This'll be interesting, she thought to herself. Smiling, and waved hello to the Professor before taking her seat behind her usual desk. "How are you today, ma'am?" Savannah asked, politely.

Golden locks were pushed back by his hand as he walked into the room. His bright eyes looking around the room until they landed on his Professor. He stopped as his feet didn't want to function and his eyes widened at the sight he was looking at. "Pink?" He asked no one in particular, shocked. "This must be some kind of joke, isn't it? I am quiet certain it IS a joke."
Kingston then moved his feet to walk over to his Professor. Looking at the woman, he blinked and then ran his hand through his hair. "Pink? Out of all the colors of the world you chose pink?" He asked her, his left eye twitching. | |

She left her feet swing back and forth. "I bought you all a bit of candy from the Village. I know you all hide out in closets with your girlfriends and boyfriends. My gift to you... or rather your partner. And yes. Pink. I am rather fond of it." Lainey cracked herself up.

Excelsior was so excited to be here again, he loved Professor Lainey's classes and missed her unique style of teaching over the break. Why was she dressed in pink, though, he wondered. Aithley blew some air as a strand of her raven hair that got in front of her eyes, making it hard for her to see as properly as she was used to. However, that was not the only reason why she was doing such a thing. Class, Aithley Apple Aitken was actually going to attend a class. Her first one in her whole life, mind you, and it didn't feel like it would be any fun at all. After all, she was sure that what she'd see when she got in the classroom would be a bunch of little nerds, all sitting down ready to write whatever the stupid woman or man that was teaching said.
When she entered class, however, her mouth dropped at the sight of an extremely pink woman. Shuddering, her eyes landed on a boy who seemed to be just as disturbed as she was for the colour choice. 'I agree. Pink is evil, I tell you' She nodded.
As the professor started to speak about boyfriends and girlfriends, her eyes widened too. Oh God gracious! Where on Earth was she?

This lesson had gone down hill from the second Clifford set foot in the classroom. First, the pinkness. Second, Evangeline showing up, and now the Professor's horrible, horrible question.
What business of hers was it anyway? Hmpf.
He ignored the candy and folding his arms on top of the table, rested his sore head. Now he remembered why History of Magic was his worst lesson.

Why was the professor asking who has boyfriends and girlfriends, Dan glanced around, he wasnt going to admit to it, not that he thought there was anything wrong with it but Professor Lainey was obviously doing this for a laugh. And boyfriends and girlfriends. Her cheeks turned faintly pink and she started chewing on her lower lip. Not good.
When Lainey’s next question sunk in however, her stomach seemed to have disappeared. Definitely not nice. Doing her best to avoid looking over at Clifford (and hoping nobody would notice her now red cheeks), she started flipping the pages of her textbook.

"Did I even speak to you?" Kingston said in a snobby way. "I think not." And with that, he turned his back to the girl, not caring if she'll think he's the meanest boy she had ever met in her life.
Walking towards his desk, he glared down at the candy and shivered. How horrible, he thought. Quickly, he brushed his hand against the desk, making the piece of candy fall. That made him feel much more better, he thought with a weak smile. Taking his seat, he crossed his feet by the ankles and looked at his Professor with a raised brow.
"Oh please," he muttered silently to himself while rolling his eyes. Why would anyone want a girlfriend or boyfriend? He knew what would happen in the end. Tears that's what.
