Torie walked in the door to the Muggle Studies classroom, her long red hair neatly tied in a ponytail. She hoisted her bookbag back onto her shoulder before strolling over to the Professor. Greeting the Professor, she took a peppermint and looked at it curiously. "Black and white, eh?" she said to the Professor. "Are we playing soccer today, sir?"

Celestina hitched her school bag higher up on her shoulder as she entered, flicking unconsciously her hair out of the way. Her bangs had grown considerably longer and they were always perturbing her lashes when she blinked. Very annoying. Muggle Studies was always an interesting class if anything, and this lesson shouldn't be any different.

Although, the peppermints were sure different. Frowning down at them, fingers wrapping around one carefully, she poke to the Professor. "Good day, Professor Carter..."

Black and white peppermints...?

Carter smiled at the Gryffindor girl. "I guess you'll find out when we begin, won't you, Miss Ledger?" He nodded a short greeting to the older Gryffindor girl as she entered. "Don't be afraid of the peppermints, by the way. They still taste the same, just different colours." He peeked out the door and frowned, figuring the class would be quite small today. "We'll start in just a few minutes!"

Jess came in,hoping this class would be fun."Hello,professor!How are you?"she greeted with a smile and looked for a seat.

Ari walked into class, a bright cheery smile on her face as she looked down at the black and white peppermints and chuckled. "Interesting color choice Sir." She said, taking a peppermint and nodding before taking her seat. This would definitly be an interesting class, hopefully she wouldn't get hurt.

Laylee walked in, other things on her mind than school. She nodded to the professor with a small smile and took a mint. Laylee noticed Torie and went to sit by her.
"Hey!" She said, smiling weakly. "How is everything?" She asked.
Laylee got her things ready on her desk wondering what sprot they would be playing today. She wasnt really in a sporty mood...

Muggle Studies was next. Sighing, he made his way to class. He knew Lindsey didn't have this class with him right now, so he was bound to be alone in class. Not that he didn't like being alone.

As he walked into the class, his eyes looked around. A few students and... Ahh the professor. "Good day, Professor." Kingston smiled as he made his way past the Professor. Walking a little further, he found an empty desk and comfortably took a seat.

Torie grinned broadly at the Professor before popping the peppermint into her mouth. The mint was welcome, as Torie really enjoyed their refreshing flavour. Finding a seat, she sat down and looked at the Professor expectantly.

Torie looked up from where she had sat down to see Laylee smiling at her weakly. "Hi Laylee!" she said in response to her friend's greeting. "Did you grab peppermint? They're really quite good, although mine seems to be staining my tongue black." Torie stuck her tongue out at Laylee, then laughed heartily to herself. "So, what's up? You look a little down."

As more students filled in, Carter smiled and greeted each of them, then headed to the front of the classroom. "I hope you guys brought your pencils with you again. If not, raise your hand and I'll come around to supply you with one.

Jess felt like home taking this class,because her parents were both muggles. Of course she had a pencil,so she waited for the class to begin,thinking what could it be about.

"Yeah I did." Laylee said popping it in to her mouth. It really was refreshing and, sort of, relaxing. Laylee smiled again.
After Tories question she looked down at her text book, not sure what to say.
"Well, William, do you remember Will? Im not sure if you ever met him. But he was a very good friend of mine, and he left school a few days ago." Laylee said.
It was true that Laylee was upset over that, but for today, that was not the real reason Laylee was confused and odd feeling, as if someon was watching her.
Laylee looked at the professor when he'd metioned the pencils. Laylee hit her forhead with her hand. How could she forget? Laylee had used it so much these past few days that the pencil was completely gone now.
She raised her hand so he could give her one...

Pencils? Of course he'd bring his pencil! Only a fool wouldn't bring his own pencil. Bending down to take his bag pack, Kingston unzipped it and ruffled through his bag. Looking for that one pencil. Taking a while, he finally found it and took it out.


"And what will we be doing with these pencils?"

Torie frowned. "I'm not sure if I ever met Will, but I do know what it's like to lose a friend. My friend in first year, Erinelle, transferred to Beauxbatons, and unfortunately I've lost contact with her. It was hard to make new friends after that, especially if you were really attached to the person. Do you have a way to contact him? Do you know if he is coming back?"

Just then, the Professor indicated that they should take out their writing utensils. Torie happily took out her Petit Prince pencil case and extracted her fountain pen. She grabbed her favourite notebook out of her bookbag and set it on the table. "Do you want to borrow something off of me?" she asked Laylee.

Ari took out her pencil, which was half gone now due to her mad frenzy the other night writing to her parents. She took out her sharpener and sharpened it so its tip was pointy again and looked up ready to begin. She also took out the book she had borrowed from home, knowing it would help with the lesson.

"Yes, I have ways to contact him. He left his pet dragon-owl with me so we could write. Plus Im sure if he was aloud to take her..." Laylee said thinking about the creature. "And no, he's not comeing back. He moved to Romania the be with the girl he loves." Laylee said in a half funny way, half admiring.

"Oh, Im just trying to get a pencil." Laylee said in response to her question.

Camira raised her eyebrow in confusion. Pencil? She didn't even know what that was. She sighed and raised her hand so she could get one.

Monica who was seated next to her best friend Camira, handed her a pink and purple one that said Best Friends, it was just like Monica's

Camira turned and smiled at Monica. "Thanks." She looked at it and flicked it with her finger. She had read about some muggle stuff, but she didn't recall a pencil being in her required reading material. She shook it, but nothing happened. "What are these for", she asked quietly, feeling rather stupid. She belatedly noticed that it said best friends on it and she grinned happily at Monica, pointing to the words and nodding.

Excelsior took a seat near his sister Monica and his new girlfriend Camira. "Hi, ladies," he said to them both. He knew what a pencil was from the first lesson. "The pencil is this long skinny thing with the fat pink thing on the end of it. You can actually write with it!, and the pink thing rubs out mistakes. It's some kind of muggle magic or something."

Monica hugged Camira. She took a blank piece of paper and put it down in front of her, and using her pencil she wrote, "You write with it!"

Camira smiled as Excelsior took a seat near them. "Mr. Black", she said teasingly. She listened to him explain about pencils. He was so smart. She was shocked to hear that you could write with these things and that they magically erased mistakes without magic. She would never say it out loud, but those muggles were definitely clever sometimes.

She smiled as Monica hugged her and she hugged her back. She watched as Monica gave a practical demonstration. "Amazing", she muttered quietly. Maybe learning about muggles wouldn't be all that bad.

Hermy entered the classroom, smiling. She nodded to the professor and sat at a desk in the middle of the room. She pulled her pencil and notepad from her bag and sat quietly.

"It's kinda weird, isn't it?", Excelsior demonstrated the pencil, including the use of the eraser. "I never saw anything like it before, I wonder who thought this up? The thing that rubs stuff out, it's really soft, too. Look, you can even play with it!" Excelsior demonstrated by tweaking the eraser and watching it bounce back.

Carter went around to all the students that raised their hands and gave them each a sparkly blue pencil, then smiled at Kingston. "You will be using these pencils to write with, instead of using quills and ink. Since this is Muggle Studies, it's only proper to do things the way they would!

"Now... let's begin! Please quiet down a bit, class." He walked over to the basket of peppermints and held one in his hand, displaying for everyone to see. "This circular peppermint is black and white, just like the ball in a certain Muggle sport. Could anyone raise their hand and tell me what sport you think we will be learning about today?"
