Fabian G. Clark’s Hut

A humble dwelling stationed at the edge of the grounds, close by the forbidden forest. Follow one of the ground’s paths and it will lead you to Fabian G. Clark’s hut. Bushes around the hut lazily slashed permitting them to carry an acrimonious and a deserted feel to it in addition to a few scattered overgrown trees. On one side of the hut one would find a vegetable patch hosting carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, and potatoes only while occasionally the lingering of Fex the goat.

During the day you’d find Clark working on his vegetable patch or else running his chores while at night the place is gloomily lit and he most than likely will reside inside his hut. If you come close to the hut you’d see the following sign:

Drop by for a chat, an autograph or even stories from his Quidditch or school days. Fabian’s door is always open and welcomes students of all age interested in a chat on and about everything.

Sabrina was off on an adventure – Discovering the Hogwarts Grounds and Castle. It was quite a fascinating adventure she was having just then. She had been to the Courtyard and the Lawn was just … Beautiful. And now, she was off following one of the Hogwarts paths which would lead her to an unknown destination. She was skipping along quite cheerfully when she came across something which looked like – A DANGER SIGN!

It didn’t look like a danger sign. It was a danger sign. Isn’t the skull thing with two bones supposed to be a warning of danger? Or did it mean graveyard ahead? She wasn’t quite sure anymore. She read what the sign had to say ‘Beware Ye Who Enter Here’. Sabrina blinked. Why would they have something like that at Hogwarts? Surely they weren’t serious about this, were they? Well there was only one way to find out.

Sabrina walked forwards to find herself looking at a hut. She was unsure of what she had to do next, but she continued to walk on, slowly, getting closer to the hut by every step. She looked around to see if she could find anyone. Was anyone around? What was this mysterious place? HELP!

Ooc: Yes. She can get a little dramatic sometimes.

Fabian emerged from his hut to work with some vegetables when he found a student lingering around. Chuckling inwardly at the thought of the warning sign wouldn't hold them back, he should speak to Macadrian to see if she was interested in doing statistics with this sign.

Smiling weakly he walked closer to the student, "Wotcher?"

Sabrina was just about to turn around and leave when she saw someone walk out of the hut. Who could it be? A mysterious person who has been living in that hut since the last century? Hiding from the rest of the world, perhaps? Or maybe someone who is just – HEY! That is Mr. Clarke! She recognised him from the feast. Phew.

“Hello Mr. Clarke!” She said, beaming up at him. “I was just wandering around the grounds when I followed a path which led me to that mysterious hut.” She said, pointing at the isolated hut. “Do you know what is in there?” She asked, curiously although she was sure he knew what was in there, seeing as he had only just walked out of the hut.

Ryan slowly makes his way toward the Groundskeeper hut, still curious about where he might have saw him before. Flashes of picture was appearing in his mind and he was sure it was during a professional Quidditch games few years ago. Noticing that he was already with someone, he didn't say anything but keep staring at the sign that was on his hut. "Coooool..." he thought. This was definitively something he would love to have.

Professor Shackleton panted as she tried to catch her breath. She had spent the last hour jogging the grounds and the last 50 yards in a sprint. Macadrian is a bit of a unique individual - she's absolutely obsessed with exercising and physical fitness, not just playing Quidditch (although she loves doing that too.) During her first jog around the grounds since she was a student, she realized just how much she missed this place, and just how much she missed having someone to run with. It could get a bit boring running alone without someone to keep you company.

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted Fabian's hut and decided to drop in for a visit. As she came around to the vegetable garden, she spotted Fabian outside with a couple students. Jogging up to him, her ponytail bouncing behind her, Macadrian grinned and said, "Hey, that's a nice goat you got there!"

Upon hearing footsteps, Fabian peaked towards the sharp noise. "AHA! more students! That calls for some lemonade, don't you think?" he called out to no one in particular, "I made some fresh lemonade not too long ago".

He walked back towards his hut wall to collect a small, old, wooden table then carried it back towards his patch. Resting it down near a clear view of the grounds and his patch of course, he followed it by conjuring a few chairs and of course his fresh lemonade jar along with a few empty glasses.

"Grandma's old recipe anyone?!" he called out, "AH! Miss Shakleton!"

The tone of Fabian's voice as he talked about his goat demonstrated that he cared for the animal a great deal. She smiled at the goat's eagerness and then turned back to Fabian. "Oh yes, the weather is perfect! Although, I have to admit, I probably would have gone for a run even if it was storming out right now. I love running. One of my favorite things to do actually, other than break curses, research numbers, and teach students, of course. Do you enjoy a nice jog?"

Fabian chuckled at her response but shook his head to disagree with her, "Your fine!" he reassured Shackleton, he would've splashed that glass of lemonade over his face if he just have finished a run, especially under this weather, "its very warm today" he spoke out in a voice to match the weather.

His eyes took her in interestingly as he drank some lemonade, she was definitly different from other women. "In fact, I do enjoy a run, although I must admit, I haven't done any lately with my overwhelming schedule at the Ministry. Maybe Hogwarts will change that?" smacking a hard hand on the table then brushed larva to drop onto the ground, "maggots" he chuckled, "Fex loves them!".

At the site of maggots dropping, Fex hurriedly galloped over to get himself some treat accidentally stepping on the lady's shoes.

Ryan's mind was rushing like crazy. The name of the man was repeating in his head over and over again until.... Boum! It suddenly come to him. "I'm sorry my ruddness but you mean Fabian Clark, the famous Quidditch player?!" He kept staring at the Groundskeeper for a little while not sure what to do next and not realizing either that his glass was now full.

Coming out slowly outside is little bubble, he smiled at mister Clark. "Thanks for the lemonade. It's the best I had in a while. I'm Ryan.... It's a pleasure to meet you sir."

Taking another sip of his drink, he was trying to remember why he had stop but didn't want to bugger him with that. "It's a super recipe you got there. There's a little something that makes it special."

Listening to his question, he smiled when he heard Quidditch. This game was his passion, he everytime he could have the opportunity to talk about it, he was jumping on it. "So far it's cool. The sign up for the team have open not long ago and I have a vague idea about when I want the try-out but still have to make it official. Other than that I can't wait to get in that Pitch and to play. It's one of the most amazing they're is in the world." Having vision of himself flying fast was making him relaxed a lots. "I can't exactly the feeling that I have but it's one place that I am completely free."

Macadrian ran her hand along the top of her head to straighten out the hairs that had begun to fall from her ponytail. She thought about how the students here at the hut probably haven't seen a professor ever running the grounds in ahtletic attire and how different she probably seemed to be from the rest of the staff here at Hogwarts.

Or was she that different? She thought, 'Perhaps other members of the staff would like to take jogs around the grounds but just don't have time or a partner to run with. Maybe Fabian feels the same way...' With that thought, Macadrian looked to Fabian and asked, "Well, since you enjoy a good run, how about you join me on my daily jogs around the grounds? I could sure use the company. Unless, of course, your schedule as Groundskeeper is too busy," Macadrian paused and then added, "Or you're afraid that you can't keep up!" Macadrian winked jokingly and smirked at Fabian.

In the process of Macadrian reflecting on how comfortable she felt with Fabian, despite not knowing him for very long, and how grateful she was to have met a friend among the staff, she was startled by Fabian's smacking of the table. When he mentioned the word 'maggot' a chill went down Professor Shackleton's spine. She shuddered and stated, "As much as I respect all creatures, maggots just gross me out! Fex and I are not in agreement about the greatness of maggots!" Just as Macadrian made that comment, Fex ran over to devour the maggots, stepping on her foot in the process. Macadrian let out an 'Ow!" after being stepped on, which actually surprised her more than hurt her. She then began laughing heartily and spoke, "I guess Fex didn't like my assessment of the maggots and he made clear his opinion!" Looking down to check out her foot, she noticed that her entire shoe was covered in muck. She let out, "Ugh! My shoe is disgusting and covered with Merlin knows what!"

Live here? In that hut? Sabrina glanced at the hut which seemed a little isolated from the rest of the castle. "But I thought all the teachers lived in the castle!" She said, glancing at the majestic castle once and then back at Mr. Clark. Was he a professor? "I am Sabrina Evanstar!" She told him, grinning.

Her head turned when she saw a boy turn up. The boy was a lot older than she was and she smiled and greeted him with a little 'Hello!' when Mr. Clark had gone off to get them lemonade! And soon they were joined by another professor (who seemed to have run around the grounds for exercise which reminded Sabrina that she had to get some exercising done as well). Wonderful! "Hello Professor!" She said, beaming at the professor.

Fabain grinned cheekily at the kid, he just knew how to pump him up? Didn't he?... "So I take it your a Puddlemere United fan?" he spoke out enthusiastically, his team's fans were the best. Ever. "Which is your favorite match if you don't mind me asking, or move?" he trailed of starting on sport chatter until the kid asked about the lemonade recipe, "mint" he added with a wink, "mint gives it the zestful taste".

"I can relate to that" Clark trailed off thoughtfully at the boy's words, "when on the pitch your a different man. I love the stamina that comes with flying, so heavenly, you can't get it anywhere else" smiling at the memory as he dozed off into momentary day dream.

"Sign-ups are entertaining, any of your old team members coming back? I find it more difficult to train new team members than ones returning. Mind you, team productivity reflects on that effort. The more you put in, the stronger your team gets. In contrary, new blood is always good" he gave a nod to his own words then drank more out of his glass.

He couldn't deny that Shakleton had a very good point proven, why wouldn't he run? But when she dared him thats when something inside of him fired up. She did not just try and dare him up? Hmmph, well whether he was banned from flying or excessive exercise he was not going to lose to a woman, even if it meant permanent paralyze for him. No woman she try and dare up a Puddlemere United player, or ex Puddlemere United player to be correct. "Sign me up Shakleton!" he spoke up darefully, "I'm not busy!, I can do it" there was no excuse for her now. He will run, and win.

"I guess not" he chuckled out loudly at Macadrian's conclusion about Fex, feeling all the daring tension come out of his system. "Funny, me and him agree most of the time, though don't take me wrong. I don't eat maggots. I prefer meat over insects".

Clark took out his wand and waved it to clean Shakelton's shoes, it was rude of Fex to ruin them in the first place and he felt reliable for Fex's behaviors, "there much better" he smiled looking back up at her eyes to figure if she was still upset about the dirt.

Fex found it disturbing that his owner had to fix everything he intentionally ruins, takes twice the effort. Always. Sniffing the ground, he took closer steps towards the Shakleton person and started biting on her shoe lace, there cutting them off for her would try and keep her away from his master.

"Oh no, Groundskeepers have their own huts here on the grounds. See that one there" pointing his finger towards a neighboring hut, "Miss Maddison lives in the other hut. Its much easier this way since we take care of the grounds" Fabian explained, it would be very tedious to walk back and forth between the castle and the grounds every time he had to run a chore or duty.

Macadrian was quite pleased to now have a running-buddy, despite sensing a bit of competition emanating from Fabian. Smiling with a challenging look in her eyes, she said, "Excellent! Shall I meet you at your hut tomorrow morning, then?" Macadrian was used to competition and she wouldn't shy away from one now.

Clark took out his wand and waved it to clean Shakelton's shoes, it was rude of Fex to ruin them in the first place and he felt reliable for Fex's behaviors, "there much better" he smiled looking back up at her eyes to figure if she was still upset about the dirt.

Fex found it disturbing that his owner had to fix everything he intentionally ruins, takes twice the effort. Always. Sniffing the ground, he took closer steps towards the Shakleton person and started biting on her shoe lace, there cutting them off for her would try and keep her away from his master.

Professor Shackleton was grateful that Fabian cleaned her sneakers - they were brand-new afterall. Her eyes met his and she smiled warmly. "Thank you for cleaning my shoes! They were a gift from my parents and since I ruined the last pair they bought me in a cave in Peru five days after I got them, I promised I'd make these last a bit longer!" Macadrian laughed lightly, as she often did. She had a tendency to get filthy and ruin her clothes, but she supposed that came along with being a curse-breaker.

When Fex started chewing on her shoelaces, Macadrian stifled a giggle, pet Fex on the head and then tucked her feet underneath her, tailor style in the chair. She declared, "I don't think your goat likes me, or at least not my shoes! Shall I wear different ones next time I come visit?"

Smelling the drink in order to detected the mint presence, he could barely smell it but the fine addition was making this drink unforgettable. "I have to try this back at home."

Agreeing with everything mister Clark was saying, he was reliving through is words, how he was feeling when he was on a broom. "One thing I love about this sport it's the speed. The game can go to such a fast paste that you really have to put every once of concentration in it. You don't have to worry about anything else." He couldn't help but notice how awesome he was feeling talking to him about the sport.

Nodding at his comment, he said: "I went to see how things were they're but few of the old team members have come back. I've made sure to owl them so I have to see if they will but I like new team member too. Sometimes they can surprise us...." In his mind, he wasn't going to turn anyone new, this wasn't him at all.

Have you attended any previous Arithmancy classes here or have any experience with the subject?" Macadrian wished to get to know her students beyond the classroom and hoped these simple questions would get the girl to start to open up to her.

Samson walked from the Tree Grove and followed the path to who knew where. He wanted to explore, and one way to surely do that was to wander aimlessly around the place and not mind getting lost. He was quite good at that.

Soon he came across a hut near the forest. He blinked. There were people who lived here? He shrugged to himself, then proceeded. Maybe he could find some company. It was really getting boring around the place and, well, not really being the kind who makes the first move to make friends, he had nothing better to do.

He knocked on the door, then stepped back as he rocked on his heels, waiting for an answer. He glanced at the window, and noticed there were actually students inside. He couldn't precisely make out who they were, but he knew they were students. And there was even a teacher present! Interesting. Could this have been a class? Well, he was eager to find out for sure.

After a long days work, Maddison decided that she best go and introduce herself to the new groundskeeper. She had been meaning to do so at the opening feast, but had not had the opportunity.

Not wanting to show up empty handed to Fabian’s hut she had managed to conjure up a basket of goodies. Being quite conscientious about the things she ate, she made sure to put a few tea bags, organic crackers and humus dip within the basket. However Maddison also understood that not everyone shared in her dietary lifestyle, so she made sure to include some artery clogging and high in cholesterol delicacies as well.

Coming upon the hut she was headed towards the front door, but redirected herself when she heard distant voices coming from the vegetable patch beside the hut. Following the chatter she soon came upon the patch.

Taking in her surroundings she noticed another Professor was present. “I do hope I’m not interrupting anything.” She cautiously entered the patch as she flashed them all a smile.

"Do not let them hurt her, please." His voice was full of concern for Kayla. Helios knew nothing of detention or what would happen to her in those dark dungeons.

Helios was back in his robes, that he had taken off to move amongst the trees. Now he was walking up to some creepy looking hut with an adult he wasn't sure he could trust.
