| | |  Professor Light's Office (Muggle Studies)
You are milling around the first floor corridor as you pause to look in the door of a particular office. The woman inside is humming cheerfully. She is a short lady, young, average weight, with lots of curly brown hair. Her wand sticks behind her ear and her hands shuffle through a massive stack of papers.
The office is rather small, but homely at the same time. It is crammed full of books, most of them look to be some sort of Muggle fiction books. The windows are all open.
When she notices the you at the door, she pauses and looks up, giving you a large smile. She talks rather fast, but clearly at the same time. "Oh, hello! Hope you haven't been standing there long. Just trying to get organized for classes..." she pauses and laughs, "but it's looking rather doubtful anyway, so I'm happy to have a distraction. Come on in!" she finishes cheerfully, gray eyes shinning and hands motioning for you to come stop in if you have time. | |

Amanda walked over to Professor Light's Office door. It had been quite a while since the two of them talked face-to-face. Amanda smiled and knocked on the door three times. Knock! Knock! Knock!
Amanda took a step back and said, "It's me, Professor Light. Amanda Madigan." Amanda took another step back and waited for Professor Light to reply.

Amanda smiled, as Professor Light replied. Amanda took a few steps into Professor Light's office and said, "Everything has been alright for me. I had an excellent break, and now I'm just going around to catch up with the Professors. Nothing much." Amanda paused and looked around the office for a few seconds.
Amanda's bright blue eyes met with Professor Light's grey ones once again. "So, how have you been, Professor?" Amanda asked, brushing some of her red hair away from her eyes. She might as well have asked. She was the first student to stop by her office, after all.

Amanda noticed that an owl had swooped into Professor Light's office and had dropped a piece of parchment on her desk. Amanda walked over to the desk and picked up the piece of parchment.
"Professor Light," Amanda said, walking back toward the Professor. "You have a letter from ..." Amanda quickly glanced down at the bottom of the parchment and read who it was from. "... Professor Blaylock." Amanda smiled and handed the piece of parchment to Professor Light.

"I've been well, just busy. Seems as though many of the students are as well, considering how few have stopped in. And I was actually on time this year!" Professor Light chuckled at her own joke. Many of the other years she had had family problem, health problems, and problems preventing her from getting to the class for the opening feast and meeting the students.
"Ohh, what is this?" said Professor Light extending her hand to catch the notice that fell from the sky. Taking the note to open it, she skims it.
Not this again...
"Ohh, dear. Looks like I'm late. Maybe I can catch the end. Hold up. Tarrot reading? Oh dear..." Professor Light fought the urge to roll her eyes. She thought any sort of divination was just stupid. But she would go anyway... just to watch.
Professor Light waved hello to Sara and goodbye to Amanda as she excitied the room quickly.

Amanda giggled as Professor Light made her little joke. "Well, you are a Professor and preparing for classes does seem to keep you Professors on your toes."
Amanda watched as Professor Light read the note from Professor Blaylock and then noticed that a girl, Sara, had came inside the office. Amanda smiled at her and followed Professor Light out of the office, but she walked to her Common Room. She'd come back later to visit with Professor Light another time.

Professor Light walked back into the office, and noticed it was once again empty.
Oh well... no matter. Now, to schedule that first class!
Professor Light went and sat down at her desk to begin planning the next lesson. A grin appeared on her face...
I think... it's about time we had this lesson.
Still smiling, she put her papers away and walked to the calender, looking for the first open date to begin her last first lesson.

Seeing that a lot of students were lined up in front of the Muggle Studies professor, Professor Light's classroom, Mindy quickly grinned and got in the back of the line. She was anxious to start her day.

Professor Light took the letter from Taz. "I'll definitely take care of it, dear. There's a special area just outside of Hogsmeade that has a great Muggle post office. Funny though, the post man seems to think the office is located in Eygpt..." Professor Light winked and put the letter safely on the top of her to-do pile.
After taking the note from the House Elf, raising her eyebrow, and telling the house a sincere thanks, she quickly opened the door. "OH, dear, you all can come right in, I didn't notice the line forming, I was quite busy. But I love having students visit me, so do come in! Anything I can do to help you?"

Professor Light quickly entered her office and looked around, but before she was able to do anything else, she heard a whoosh sound and noticed something fly by her head. As she looked up and caught a note, she quickly read it over. It was from Professor Doyle.
Oh dear... report to the Great Hall? What is with all this crazyness?
With a deep breath and a quick removal of her wand form her hair, she hurried down to the Great Hall.
