Dusk falls as you approach the Forbidden Forest, and the third task, a maze inside. Four professors are waiting for you, Professor Belle, the Astronomy professor, steps out front and speaks first:

"Good evening, and welcome to the third, and final, task. Somewhere inside this maze is the Triwizard Cup. Professors Erikson, Tolkien, Maline, and myself will be watching and standing guard. If you need any help, there's two sparks you may send up, Teal, if you want the help of my flying horse, Cassiopeia, but this can only be used once, and there is at least one obstacle that she won't help you with. The other is red, for if you need to get out, for any reason at all." She eyes you all up and down, "Are we ready to begin?"
“No, we’re not ready to begin - I’d actually rather be back in my four-poster.”

“Juno shush,” Tiffany poked him with her wand. “Pay attention, this might be important.”

"Yeah - something about a winged horse…oh I wanna fly on that !” Chloe bounced around on her heels a little.

“Be my guest - I’d rather be hung in the dungeons by my toenails.”

“Shhh!” Tiffany poked him again.

Suddenly the 5 foot bushes stepped to the side and provided an opening into the maze.

“Well, ready or not - here we go folks.” Chloe smiled at her teammates, and then bolted off into the maze.

“Well, Juno - shall we?” She motioned for him to go first.

“Ladies first isn’t?” Tiffany grinned a little at being called a lady and then took off into the maze after Chloe. “Hey! Wait up you two!” Juno tightened his grip on his wand and then dashed off after them. When he caught up with them he grabbed the back of Chloe’s uniform making her stop. “Wait - wait, shouldn’t we have a strategy for this?”

“What do you mean a strategy? It’s a maze for crying out loud. How much of a strategy can you have?”

“Well, I’ve heard choosing one direction and going that way until you can’t anymore, makes it easier to retrace your steps.”

“Right - let’s decide to all go to the Left right?”

“We're going left - or right?”

“Left, Right Juno?”

“I’m confused.”

“STOP! Let’s make this easy. Let’s all go to the right.”

The two girls chimed in unison. “RIGHT!” They giggled and went off ahead.

“Girls! Whatever I did to deserve this, it was so Tag’s fault,” he grumbled to himself as he wandered off after them.

They were waiting for him at the first junction. “Right, right?” Chloe giggled again.

“Right.” Tiffany smiled and led the way down the right pathway.

Juno was certain, the girls were now just doing this, simply to get under his skin.

It's darker now, the sun has lowered more and the trees looming above have blocked out any remaining sunlight. Howling can be heard, and a cold wind blows past, as if being sucked deeper into the maze and, therefore, the forest.

A fork is up ahead. Straight, or left?

Tiffany looked up in into the narrow band of sky over head. “It’s getting dark.”

“Thank you captain obvious.”

Tiffany turned her attention from the sky to Juno and gave him a dirty look that Juno couldn’t mistake even in the darkening sky. “Maybe one of us should use a lumos spell.”

“Naw, I think we should all keep our wands handy until we can’t see in front of our faces.”

“Yeah, besides which one of us is best at charms?”

“Right- good point.” Tiffany pushed some hair out of her face.

“This is when a torch would come in handy.”

Juno rolled his eyes and continued down the path. A moment later the three Ravenclaws stopped. There was another fork ahead of them. It branched to the left, or it continued straight.

“Well, we agreed to go right- and we can’t go right, right? Let’s go straight.”

“Sound right to me.” Tiffany giggled again.

Juno bugged his eyes out at the two girls. Honestly, they could be so weird. Without waiting for him, the two girls strolled on ahead, leaving Juno to trudge along behind them wondering how girls could be so weird.

Full dusk, as the brave unit of Ravenclaw Champions ventured forth on their chosen path from the fork. They hadn't gotten too far ahead, when, out of nowhere, Juno went flying in front of them, then behind, then directly over them, when he was dropped atop the two young girls.

Looking around furiously, you spot the cause....cornish pixies! Blasted buggers, and they're coming back! Do something!!

“Wooooowwww!!! Hey! What?! Put me!” And suddenly Juno felt himself falling through the air. Arms flailing, legs kicking he landed atop something that was a combination of squishy and bony. “Down.” He pushed himself up and shook his head back and forth much like a wet dog. “What the bloody hel- AHHHH They’re coming back! Saaaaavvvveeee me!”

“Ger-off Juno!” Chloe’s knee came up right in the middle of Juno’s gut.”

“Umph!”

“Juno-what’s going - get off my head!” Tiffany pushed Juno and he rolled off to the side. “That hurt - what do you think you were doing- that wasn’t funny!”

“Piiiiixxxxiiiessss!” Juno was busy pointing his wand at something flying at them.

“What are you babbling about!?” Suddenly Chloe was lifted up by her left foot. Thankfully she was wearing trousers, but her hair and her cloak covered her face. Arms flailing back and forth. “Get me down get me down!”

Tiffany pulled out her wand and started zapping pixies with an freezing spell. “Juno - get that one holding Chloe!”

“Immobulus!”

The wings of the pixie holding Chloe’s foot stopped fluttering and he suddenly plummeted to the ground dropping Chloe on top of Juno. For the second time in less then 5 minutes Juno crumbled to the ground.

“Gerr-off me!” He kicked his legs frantically much like a two year old having a hissy fit would.

But instead of getting off him, Chloe simply sat herself up atop of Juno’s bum. Juno’s spell looked like it worked. “Immobulus!” She zapped another pixie, just as Tiffany zapped two more.

The pixies are frozen, quick! Go down the path! But....there's a sound of heavy breathing. Maybe you want to just get out of here?

“Well,” Chloe said still perched atop Juno’s backside. “That did it, didn’t it?”

Juno had his head propped up in his left hand, his right index finger was tapping on the grass bellow him. “Does that mean you can finally get OFF OF ME?!”

Tiffany laughed. “Well you did say you wanted to be saved.” She offered Chloe a hand up off of Juno.

“Yes, I’m your knight in shining,” Chloe took the hand, letting Tiffany pull her up onto her two feet. A moment later she grabbed the edge of her uniform stretching it out a bit. “Blue funky stretchy material.”

Juno pulled himself up off the ground and then brushed the bits of grass and dirt and twigs and pixie dust (he was surprised he wasn’t flying with the amount he had in his hair alone!) off his uniform. “Do I look like a damsel in distress?”

“Damsel you aren’t, but you sure are stressed.” Tiffany grinned at her wit and then turned in s slow circle. “Ok, now which way were we originally headed?”

“Ah, good question. Got turned around a bit didn’t we?”

“Mmm…” Juno glanced up at the sky. “Nope- to cloudy to tell.” He scratched his nose. “Ah - hold on. We were originally going East.” He pulled out his wand. “Point me.” The wand spun around finding North. “This way ladies. And no more damsel in distress crap for Juno.” He started back off down the path.

Chloe meanwhile, had been poking her nose around in the bushes. “Does,” She looked around. Tiffany and Juno were about 5 feet away already. “Hey Hold up you two! Do you hear that?”

“Hear what?”

“Wait - I hear something….sounds like-”

“Breathing.”

“Yeah.”

Juno looked around moving in a slow circle. “Let’s get out of here.”

“Yeah, good idea…”

The three quickly headed down the path.

Oh no! Standing in front of you is a baby dragon. Luckily, he's sleeping right now.

What do you do?

Juno, Tiffany, and Chloe were headed down the path when Juno quickly put his arms out, holding Chloe and Tiffany behind him.

"Wait!" he whispered to the girls, slowly taking his arms down. "Look... a baby dragon!"

Tiffany and Chloe immediately peeked over Juno's shoulder and Tiffany asked in a hushed voice, "Where? Did it see us?" Chloe added, "Are we gonna die?!"

Juno shook his head and replied, "Right there on the path in front of us! It's sleeping. For now." He squinted, looking down the dark path. "Wherever the baby is, the mother has to be nearby..."

Chloe whined quietly. "Just don't tickle it." Sure, she was interested in magical creatures... but that didn't mean she wasn't afraid of the more dangerous ones. "So what're we gonna do? Should we just sneak around it, or go another way?"

Tiffany looked from the dragon to Chloe, then at Juno, then back at Chloe. "I vote that we sneak around it. I mean, why go back another way? It's just some little sleeping dragon. If it wakes up we could just... run. Fast."

Juno nodded in agreement, and since Chloe thought he was this big strong brave man, she followed suit and nodded also. "Sounds good to me. But just stay alert for any loud noises or big things coming towards us..." Juno told them both. He sure didn't want to come face to face with an angry dragon.

So the trio walked on and tip-toed past the sleeping baby dragon like spies, quietly continuing down the path, their wands out and ready for anything.

Further down the dark path, hiding too far in front, came yet another fork. A suit of armour stood there, seeming to smile,

"Well, now, about time you three showed up. I'm here to guide you, though I haven't quite remembered where it is you're supposed to go. You could go to the left, I suppose, but I haven't been there and don't know what to tell you is there, then there's the right which is darker with more scary noises. And, of course, there's the straight path, which should be the fastest route.....though not if you started at a curve."

All the pointing and turning and yapping caused the dizzy suit of armor to fall down, knocking himself out.
