| | |  Muggle Studies Lesson 3
Professor Light pushed open her classroom door. She was interested to see who would show up to this lesson... it was the last one of the year, so she knew all the students would be very unlikely to actually show up, but to those who did... well, she was excitied.
She went open to the windows and made sure all of them were open. It was such a nice day outside... she wanted the sunshine in the room and light to brighten the lesson.
Professor Light went over to the cupboards and began to pull various items out for the lesson while the first students started to trickle in. | |

Sarah walked into the class room waiting for the class to start, "hello professor how are you?" she asked looking at the open windows. She found an empty spot and went to go sit down in it. Taking out paper and somthing to write with she waited for more people to show up.

Ariana walked into class, a small smile on her young face. The cold was gone, but she hoped that girl wouldn't show up and ruin the class, she enjoyed it too much. Smiling broadly up at professor Light, she said, "Hello professor!" before taking her seat near an open window and breathing in deeply.

Professor Light smiled kindly. "Do you want the honest answer? I've been better... but all in all, today has been a relatively nice day. I think today's lesson should be really unique, and hopefully for of lots of discussion and very few notes... I like lessons like that!" Professor Light ended cheerfully, taking out another object from the cupboard. It had a heart shaped top and a bright silver circle dangling from another chord on the bottom. She hung it around her neck and waited a few more minutes before getting started.

Professor Light clapped her hands together. There wasn't very many students here, but it was certainly time to start the lesson.
"Alright everyone, glad you could make it on such a nice day. I promise this lesson will be short and then you can go outside. Today we are going to continue our discussion on Muggle careers... and we have yet another non-muggle specific career to cover. Can anyone tell me what the Muggle equivalent to a healer is?"

"Yes, yes, correct. And of course keep in mind Muggles don't just have doctors, nurses, and surgeons as well... they have lots of different specialized divisions of patient care... Neurologists, family doctors, Nurse Practitioners..."
Professor Light went to her closet and leaned on the door.
"Today, for our general purposes, we are going to be combining all of these positions and just refering to Muggle caretakers as doctors."

"Alright so... doctors..." Professor Light had paused to give them a chance to start their notes.
"To be a Muggle doctor is a very hard job. You must spend years and years in schooling, as with being a healer. The training however, is slightly different. Healers are more prone to perscribing, and they almost always use magic to cure or help sickness. In general, it is much easier for a Healer to diagnose a patient,[whereas doctors have a lot more guesswork involved."

Ariana wrote on top of her parchment "Doctor" and looked up at the professor, ready to learn. She loved this class and was pretty good at it she thought. She scratched a spot on her hand and paid attention. She listened as the professor explained the diffrence between a Healer and a Doctor and wrote "Doctor - A lot of guesswork; Healer -almost always use magic to cure the sick" this down, she looked up ready for more.

Chloe wiggled around in her chair with excitement. Maybe they would have a doctor and patient skit sometime during the lesson! I wanna be the patient, she thought and giggled before flipping her notebook open to an empty page. She wrote down everything that Professor Light said, then gently tapped her pencil on the table, eager to earn some points for Ravenclaw when given the opportunity. Hufflepuff needed to die.

"So... let's discuss briefly here..."
Professor Light moved to the board and tapped it. A Venn diagram appeared. On one side it said "doctors". On the other side it said "healers".
"Alright, on a sheet of paper, write down everything you can think of that only applies to healers. do the same with doctors. Then, in, the final column, write everything you can think of that would apply to both of them. For example:"
Professor Light tapped the board, and the following appeared:
Healers: Use of potions
Doctors: Use of surgery
Both: Caring for their patients
"Now, you try. I'll give you about 10 minutes... and when you are done, put your pencil down and when it seems like everyone is finished, I'll ask for volunteers to contribute to the board's diagram. This should help you out immensely when you look back in your notes.
